The Hypocrisy and Useless Political Theater That Is The "No Kings" Movement

First off, congratulations to all who peacefully marched  in the recent “No Kings” protests, successfully exercising their freedom of speech and freedom to assemble rights. However, it was kind of ironic that those marching were protesting against being ruled by a king but yet they had the right to freely assemble and speak their feelings, actions that a king would probably not allow. But that is a discussion for another day.

Today, let’s talk about the hypocrisy of those marching since it seems that these types of folks get excited and passionate when the other side of the political spectrum is in charge but remain hypocritically silent when their side of the political spectrum is acting like royalty. Consider:

  1. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when  Biden weaponized the FBI and other government organizations to investigate, spy on, and hassle Catholics throughout the country, violating their First Amendment rights.

  2. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when Biden weaponized the FBI and other government organizations who sent FBI agents and FBI SWAT teams to the homes of pro choice advocates and their family members, violating their First Amendment  rights.

  3. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when Biden coerced Google to block, hide, and censor the comments, searches, and websites of Republicans and conservatives, violating the First Amendment rights of millions of Americans.

  4. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when  Biden coerced Facebook to block, hide and censor the comments, searches, posts, and websites of Republicans and conservatives, violating the First Amendment rights of millions  of Americans.

  5. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when Biden coerced Twitter to block, hide, and censor the comments, searches, posts, and  websites of Republicans and conservatives, violating their First Amendment rights.

  6. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when  Biden tried to coerce banks and other financial institutions to cut off banking services to Republican companies and organizations and the NRA, violating the First and Second Amendments of millions of Americans.

  7. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when Biden had FEMA rescue teams avoid the homes of hurricane ravaged areas that had Trump signs on their property, violating their right to government support during a time of need.

  8. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when Biden spied on at least eight members of the Senate under his secret “Quiet Skies” program without court approved warrants or cause, violating the spirit and intent of separation of government functions as outlined in the Constitution.

  9. I do not remember these folks protesting or marching when Biden spied on at least three members of the House of Representatives under his “Quiet Skies” program without court approved warrants or cause, violating the spirit and intent of separation of government functions as outlined in the Constitution.

  10. I do not remember these folks  protesting and marching when Obama,  Biden, Comey, Clinon, Brennan,  and others tried to  undermine a Presidential  campaign and a Presidential administration by creating false stories and conspiracies, all  of which became known as Russiagate, violating the voting rights and First Amendment  rights of tens of millions  of Americans.

  11. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when Biden conspired with Democrats across the country to deny ballot access to Trump, violating the First Amendment rights of millions of American voters.

  12. I do not  remember these folks protesting and marching when Biden put ex-Democrat Congresswoman, Tulsi Gabbard, on the terror watch list without cause or proof and had Air Marshals follow her on at least five airline flights, violating her First Amendment rights and due process Constitutional protection.

  13. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when Biden places  at least two dozen other innocent Americans on the terror watch list without cause or proof, violating their First Amendment  rights and due process Constitutional protection.

  14. I do not remember  these folks protesting  and marching when  Biden tried to end run around a definitive student loan repayment Supreme Court decision,  violating the separation of government branches as outlined in the Constitution.

  15. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when Biden oversaw  the Biden crime family that financially leveraged Biden’s political  positions for self enrichment via governments from around the world (e.g.  Ukraine,  China, Russia, Kazakhstan), violating the  integrity of the Vice President and President positions.

  16. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when Biden colluded with the national association of school boards to shut down parental input to school board meetings, violating parents' First Amendment rights

  17. I do not remember these folks protesting  and  marching when Biden tried to coerce Spotify to dump their Joe Rogan  podcast arrangement, violating Rogan’s First Amendment rights.

  18. I do not remember these folks protesting and  marching when Biden, or more  likely his handlers,  used the autopen to sign off on over a thousand Presidential pardons, violating the spirit and purpose of the Constitution's Presidential power to issue pardons.

  19. I do not remember these folks protesting and marching when Democratic Party elites unilaterally and  secretly decided that Biden would not be their Presidential candidate in 2024 and picked Kamala Harris, violating the voting and First Amendment  rights of those Democratic voters who had selected Biden as their candidate via the primary voting process.

  20. I do not  remember these folks protesting and  marching when  Biden allowed well over ten  million  illegal immigrants  into the country which resulted in exploding crime rates, thousands of rapes, murders, robberies and violence perpetrated on American citizens, and the diversion of billions of dollars of taxpayer wealth to provide free food, free shelter, free medical care, and free cellphone service to illegal immigrants while millions and  millions of Americans continued to be hungry, homeless, and in need of medical attention and insurance.

There you have  it: twenty instances (which is not a comprehensive list) where Biden and his administration violated Americans’ voting rights, First Amendment rights, Second Amendment rights, and Constitutional  protocols. But despite these infractions on freedom, there were not any “No Kings” protests or marches protesting these infractions during his term in  office.

All of which leads a logical person to  assume that there is massive hypocrisy involved with the “No Kings” movement. If you protest and march only when your political  side of the spectrum has lost elections, but not when your political  side of the spectrum is  violating rights and the Constitution, then it is pretty easy to not take the “No Kings” movement seriously.

Freedom needs to be protected regardless  of who is violating  it, and  given  the above abuses of freedom that Biden invoked and the silence of those that recently marched  during  his tenure, pardon the rest of us who view the recent No Kings marches as hypocritical, useless, and biased political  theater.

May, 2025, Part 2, Political Class Insanity: Biden Tramples Our Rights, Government Employees Abuse Their Government Credit Cards, Moody's Downgrades The Country and More

Even though we have spent the p[ast seven or so posts discussing how DOGE and Trump are identifying and eliminating stupid and wasteful spending of the Federal government. However, that does ot mean that the American political class had stopped doing stupid and inane things, be it wasting taxpayer wealth,  enriching themselves and family members, implementing stupid government programs, etc.

We usually called these failures “political class insanity.” Thus, let’s catch up on the insanity that American politicians have continued to indulge in:

1)DOGE recently announced that it had found more stupid and wasteful spending of taxpayer wealth, this time in the Federal National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH):

  • NEH gave out a grant worth $460,000 to develop “interactive gay travel guides.”

  • Another grant was worth $247,000 to  digitize “stories of transgender adults in the Pacific Northwest.”

  • $60,000 was planned to research how “LGBTQ+ cartoonists innovated comics in the 1980s and 1990s.”

  • $75,000 was allocated to study “the relationship between Internet live streaming and LGBTQ+  communities.”

  • A  $350,000 grant was going to create  a Spanish language version of homosaurua.org, a database related to LGBTQ+ terminology.

  • And it seems to never end since $150,000 was going to be spent for the excavation  of “Egypt's first industrial scale brewery.”

Millions of Americans are homeless, hungry, in need of drug addiction treatment, and cannot afford health insurance and some  folks  in Washington thought these were better uses of taxpayer wealth. Bad, bad priorities.

2)We have often  lamented the fact that the Federal national debt still being rung up  Washington politicians will eventually crash our economy, our financial system, and our democracy. Despite the ever growing debt, fast approaching a ridiculous $37,000,000,000,000, DC politicians do nothing of significance to halt the growth in  debt.

Their hesitancy to curtail  spending did not go unnoticed by the credit rating system, Moody’s:

  •  Moody’s recently downgraded the Federal  government’s credit worthiness rating from Aaa to Aa1.

  • This was the first time that the rating was below perfect since rating started in 1949.

  • This will result in higher lending costs as politicians continue to float bonds to  finance their wasteful spending which will increase interest on the debt and the financial death spiral gains speed.

  • This downgrade of the nation’s credit worthiness follows in the footsteps of other credit rating agencies that had already downgraded our status.

  • The government’s budget deficit to GDP ratio is 6.7%, the  highest it has ever been when there was not a recession or war in  progress.

  • According to Moody: “Successive US administrations and Congress have failed to agree on measures to reverse the trend of large annual fiscal deficits and growing interest costs. We do not believe that material multi-year reductions in mandatory spending and deficits will result from current fiscal proposals under consideration.”

The problem is  right in  front of the Washington political class and nobody has the courage or strength to  stop the insanity and get the government’s fiscal  house in order.

3)One reason for the ever growing deficit and national debt was recently uncovered in DC:

  • Recent investigations found that government bureaucrats had been  annually   incurring  $40,000,000,000 government issued credit card debt.

  • Members in the House and Senate are calling for investigations given the suspected widespread abuse in the use of government credit cards.

  • This abuse was uncovered after an audit of the Defense Department.

  • This abuse allegation comes on the heals of a DOGE finding that found there were a staggering 4.6 active Federal employee credit cards in the world, cards that had racked up the $40 million in expenses and charges in a single fiscal year.

  • The Department of Defense audit found that a whopping 7,805 credit card transactions had been incurred at so-called “high risk merchants” including casino ATMs, mobile phone stores, bars lounges, discos, nightclubs, taverns, cruise lines, lottery amusement parks, and bail bond services.

  • Specific things purchased on the government credit cards that would be considered  suspicious include wigs,  toupees, weight loss programs,  jewelry, boats, campers, and country club memberships.

  • The Defense Department  audit also  found that the Defense Department effectively had no way of tracking and fixing errant misuse of government credit cards.

As we have said far too  often: millions of Americans are homeless, hungry, in need of drug addiction help and cannot afford health  insurance and yet taxpayer wealth  is being spent via this credit card  scandal on wigs toupees, alcohol and who knows what else.

4)Now that Biden is out of office, it is becoming clearer and clearer how his administration had total  disrespect for Americans who had done nothing criminal or terroristic, they were targeted for  simply having a different opinion than Biden and his loyalists:

  • A newly discovered Biden administration  memo from June, 2021 authorized Federal agencies to  monitor and track Americans citizens engaged in “non-criminal  behavior.

  • This was especially focused on military service members, gun owners, and those accused of spreading disinformation, i.e. daring to have  opinions that were in conflict with the Biden administration.

  • These Americans were targeted even though they had done nothing illegal, suspicious or had court ordered surveillance permission.

  • The memo was made public by  Director Of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.

  • The tracking and monitoring of civilians by the Federal government certainly raises concern about civil  liberties, political  targeting, and the  weaponization of Federal  government agencies against political opponents.

  • Traditionally, Department of Justice guidelines required the FBI to establish a clear and  reasonable case of  criminal  or security concerns before opening an investigation.

  • The Biden administration trashed this tradition and stomped on many Americans’ First Amendment rights.

  • Instead, the FBI  and other government agencies considered the Gadsen flag, the Betsy Ross flag, and Second Amendment references to justify investigation.

  • FBI whistle blowers have come forward to verify how Biden only went after Americans who had a different view and opinion than him and his loyalists.

When political considerations are used to dictate government behavior and the Constitution and its protections of freedom are cast aside, we no  longer live in a free country.

Enough political class insanity for today: trampling Americans’ rights and opinions, credit card abuse by Federal employees, Moody’s recognizes the debt issue facing the country, and more wasteful spending.for LGBTQ+ nonsense.
