The Corruption Chronicles, Part 3: Biden Corruption With Chinese Communists, Undermining the Constitution, and More

We are going to run a short series of posts labeled, for lack of a better name, ”The Corruption Chronicles.” It seems that lately there have been a run of news reports on how corrupt the entire American political class has become. We will be discussing known, alleged, and reported corruption of public officials. But the real worry is that these known cases are likely just a small fraction of the total corruption that goes on these days, corruption that wastes our tax dollars, corrupts our elections and judicial processes, and which benefit no one else but American politicians.

The inspiration for this series came from a meme I came across on Facebook which read: “They printed $8 trillion for covid relief, gave you a measly $1,400, and kept the rest for themselves.” I believe that the $8 trillion number is high, it is probably around $5 trillion, but the premise still holds water: after we got our crumbs, what happened to the other trillions of dollars?

Let’s go find out:

1) Hunter Biden had a laptop that he once took to a computer repair shop. And that computer’s contents are now leaking out and the corruption is starting to flow out from it:
  • As we discussed previously, Hunter Biden has had too cozy relationships with Chinese companies and individuals, enriching himself along the way.
  • One of those relationships involved Joe Biden, a business deal with a Chinese company that had strong ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
  • The corruption is that the now verified emails on the Hunter Biden computer verify that the “Big Guy” discussed in emails related to the Chinese deal was indeed Vice President Joe Biden, with the Big Guy expected to get a 10% cut of the Chinese contribution to the plan.
  • Other emails from the computer discuss how the people involved in the deal might get caught and how they were going to insulate Joe Biden in case the deal was made public by building ”plausible deniability” for Biden.
  • According to the Western Journal: [NY Post columnist Miranda Devine] writes that this was a “crucial meeting because for the first time, an outsider would see the extent to which Joe was involved in Hunter and Jim’s international business. Joe was the final decision-maker. Nothing important was done without his agreement."
  • The deal under consideration was a joint venture with CEFC China Energy. Its founder and CEO, Ye J"ianming, would own 50 percent and the Bidens would split the other 50 percent....On May 15, 2017, Bobulinski incorporated SinoHawk Holdings LLC, which, according to Devine, “would be a global investment firm seeded with $10 million of Chinese money that would buy projects in the US and around the world ‘in global and/or domestic infrastructure, energy, financial services and other strategic sectors,’ said the contract he had drawn up.”
  • "The Bidens’ 50 percent would be owned by Oneida Holdings LLC, a new corporation."
  • "On May 13, 2017, business partner James Gilliar sent an email to those involved that set out the percentages each would receive from the venture, according to the excerpt."
  • "“The equity will be distributed as follows,” Gilliar wrote."
  • “20 H [Hunter]...20 RW [Biden family friend Rob Walker]...20 JG [Gilliar]...20 TB [Bobulinski]...10 Jim [Biden]...10 held by H for the big guy.”

Pretty disgusting stuff. A sitting Vice President of the United States partaking in a business deal with a Chinese company with ties to the Communist Party and worse, realizing that what they were doing was wrong and taking steps to insulate Biden's greed and corruption.

2) Corruption is not just politicians making themselves and their family members wealthy. Sometimes the corruption is of the type that undermines the Constitution:
  • In recent Congressional testimony, the Director of Biden’s Office Management and Budget (OMB), Shalanda Young, testified that Biden’s administration shifted $1.9 billion that had been Congressionally and legally approved to build the southern border wall and div
  • erted it to pay for “environmental restoration.”
  • Young refused to specify how the diverted $1.9 billion was being spent.
  • But she did agree with the General Accounting Office that Biden was “obligating the funding prudently under the law,” whatever that means.
  • When pressed under oath, she finally admitted that the money was doing environmental restoration and “community consultation,” neither of which sounded like it was being used for what Congress approved it for, building the southern wall.
  • On classic liberal doublespeak, she blamed the Trump administration for the need to do environmental restoration since that type of thing was neglected under Trump, “woefully lacking” in her words.

The corruption here is Constitutional. We elect members of Congress to represent our needs. Members of Congress voted and approved legislation and budget to fund the building of a wall at the southern border. A President, under the Constitution, cannot arbitrarily override the wishes and actions of Congress, and by extension, the wishes of American voters, because he does not like the reality.

If this was legal and Constitutional, then why are we wasting our time electing members to Congress, just let a dictator like Biden determine how our tax dollars should be spent, much like they do in Russia and China. If Biden doesn't like the budget allocation, he should petition and lobby Congress to enact legislation to do so, as stipulated in the Constitution. Not justify it by saying he did not like the former President.

3) Hunter Biden is the President’s son. He is entitled to government protection via the Secret Service, much like members of other 
Presidential families have received over the history of the country. No problem.

The problem and corruption is how much this protection is costing the American taxpayer:
  • The Secret Service spent a whopping $30,000 a month for almost a year to rent a Malibu, California mansion along with another expensive property right next door, in order to protect Hunter Biden.
  • Hunter Biden’s Malibu home, the one being protected by the Secret Service and the American taxpayer, is a four bedroom, three bath home with an open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, chef’s kitchen, pool, spa, and French doors.
  • Both Hunter’s house and the Secret Service rented property sit on the Pacific Ocean.
  • Makes you wonder how Hunter Biden can afford such an expensive home in high priced California since he apparently has never had a seedy, proper career/job.
  • Craig Holman, a government affairs lobbyist for the good government group Public Citizen summed up the general disgust with this taxpayer expense very nicely: "Hunter should recognize the exorbitant cost of his own protection in the exclusive Malibu neighborhood, and cooperate with the Secret Service to bring down the expenses. A cost of $30,000 a month for the Secret Service to rent a home in Malibu next to Hunter is an unconscionable burden to taxpayers, all for the personal benefit of Hunter Biden. Hunter should realize this and accommodate his security detail in his own home."
  • But this type of “Biden corruption'' should not come as a surprise since Hunter’s dad, Joe, once charged the Secret Service, and the American taxpayer, $2,200 a month to rent a cottage on Biden’s own property to protect him when he was Vice President.
All types of corruption underway: Hunter imposes on the U.S. taxpayer, Joe Biden disrespects the Constitution, and both Bidens, Hunter and Joe, leverage the U.S. government to make themselves wealthy.

The Corruption Chronicles, Part 2: Cronyism In Biden World, Black Lives Matter Buys A Mansion, And More

We are going to run a short series of posts labeled, for lack of a better name, ”The Corruption Chronicles.” It seems that lately there have been a run of news reports on how corrupt the entire American political class has become. We will be discussing known, alleged, and reported corruption of public officials. But the real worry is that these known cases are likely just a small fraction of the total corruption that goes on these days, corruption that wastes our tax dollars, corrupts our elections and judicial processes, and which benefit no one else but American politicians.

Let’s go find out:

1) Political corruption does not only include making yourself and your family wealthy, it can also make your friends wealthy also:
  • According to reporting by the Washington Free Beacon, one of Joe Biden’s top political donors and “closest friends” has received millions of dollars worth of Federal contracts.
  • And what has to be considered a major conflict of interest, this donor also landed a high ranking job in the Biden White House.
  • Joe Kiani, is the lucky guy to get not only $3 million taxpayer dollars for his medical device company, but he got a seat on the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology.
  • Kiani’s Masimo Foundation gave over $1 million to the Biden Foundation back in 2017.
  • This was in addition to $500,000 Kiani and his wife personally gave to Biden’s foundation.
  • Kiani also bundled more than $1 million for Biden by hosting in-person and virtual fundraisers for him, he gave $750,000 to the Biden super PAC Unite the Country, and his foundation gave another $1 million to support Biden's inaugural committee.
  • Congressman Ralph Norman has called Biden out on this corruption: "Cronyism in any form is wrong. For someone who has spent almost 40 years in Washington, you'd think President Biden of all people would know that. Yet here we are, another campaign donor receiving a post in the administration, this time on the prestigious President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. It's important to get to the bottom of this, and I'm happy to help lead that charge."
  • The above money donations do not include the donations that Kiani’s employees also made to Biden’s political efforts.
  • Biden's son-in-law, Howard Krein, also benefited from Kiani’s money.
  • Krein is the chief medical officer of Startup Health, a company that was started with a substantial investment from Kiani’s company.
Everybody is happy: Biden gets campaign funding, his family gets business funding, Kiani gets government contracts, and a top job influencing government policy that probably will positively influence his company’s financial future. All at taxpayer expense.

2) But this is not the only corruption and conflict of interest in Biden’s world:
  • Biden’s Secretary of Energy, Jennifer Granholm, owned millions of dollars worth of stock in Proterra, an electric vehicle battery manufacturer company.
  • Imagine that, someone who will have a substantial voice in the future of electric cars has a large chunk of her personal wealth invested in a company that could benefit from a government push towards electric cars, a little conflict of interest here?
  • Fortunately, she eventually was forced to sell her shares but not before taking her high ranking government position and making $1.6 million in profit on the sale.

3) The theory behind the Black Lives Matter effort seems noble enough: help lift African Americans out of poverty and end racism in this country both perceived and real. Unfortunately, this noble intent had never been reached as money has corrupted the effort various times, including the following situation:
  • According to reporting by the Daily Wire, the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation (BLMGNF) has bought a seven bedroom estate, known locally as the “Campus,” in California.
  • One would wonder how such a purchase benefits the needs of African Americans especially since the home includes several fireplaces, a pool, a separate bungalow home, and parking for more than 20 cars.
  • Estimated cost of the purchase: About $6 million.
  • Insider documents show that the BLM people involved knew they were doing something corrupt as the documents show how they were trying to cover up or justify the expense using such tactics as portraying the property as“part of cultural arm” of BLM, an “influencer house” where “based content is produced by artists & creatives,” or as a “safehouse” for BLM leaders who feel their lives are endangered.
  • They tried to hide the purchase by using a third party named Dyane Pascall.
  • The purchase was made through a series of LLCs including one established by the Perkins Coie law firm.
What a shame, what a farce, a political organization supposedly dedicated to helping those it is serving but wasting $6 million on a private mansion and estate. Think about how many meals that $6 million could have been used to feed black Americans, house homeless black Americans and drug treat addicted black Americans. Disgraceful.

Oh, by the way, speaking about corruption: The Perkins Coie law firm was used by Hillary Clinton to secretly funnel money to Fusion GPS which was at the center of the farce and made up conflict to discredit the Trump Presidential run. Those funds were used by Fusion GPS to hire former British spy Christopher Steel to make up a totally false and now debunked dosser to embarrass Trump.

4) But it not just high ranking political figures and their donors that are corrupt:
  • Sterling Carter, former staff member to Congressman Brad Schneider, pleaded guilty to theft of taxpayer funds.
  • He admitted to submitting false paperwork when he was responsible for the office budget, processing payroll, and processing bonus payments when working for another member of Congress.
  • According to court documents: “Between November 2019 and January 21, 2021, in the District of Columbia, CARTER fraudulently filled out, signed, and submitted unauthorized [bonus pay forms] causing [the House of Representatives Office of Payroll and Benefits] to pay CARTER approximately $80,491.67 in unauthorized payments.”
  • He faces up to ten years in prison.
Nice work if you can get it: be responsible for giving yourself any raise you want. Makes you wonder how many other corrupt government employees are doing similar antics with their own pay levels and taxpayer funds.

Enough corruption chronicles for today: paying yourself with taxpayer wealth, buying yourself mansions with charity donations using a shady law firm with a shady history of creating falsehoods, controlling the market while having a substantial investment in that market, and cronyism is alive and well in Biden World.

The Corruption Chronicles, Part 1 - Biden Family Matters, Obama Phones, Child Porn In Maine, and Election Corruption In New York

We are going to run a short series of posts labeled, for lack of a better name, "The Corruption Chronicles.” It seems that lately there have been a run of news reports on how corrupt the entire American political class has become. We will be discussing known, alleged, and reported corruption of public officials. 

But the real worry is that these known cases are likely just a small fraction of the total corruption that goes on these days, corruption that wastes our tax dollars, corrupts our elections and judicial processes, and which benefit no one else but American politicians.

1) Hunter Biden is President Joe Biden’s son. It is no secret that he has been traveling around the world and leveraging his father’s political positions in the U.S. government for years for his personal gain. And now that charade is starting to come apart at the seams:
  • CBS correspondent Catherine Herridege recently reported that over 150 substantial financial ties to the Biden family, Hunter and James (Joe’s brother), were “flagged as concerning” by various banks in this country.
  • Specifically: “CBS News has learned more than 150 financial transactions involving either Hunter or James Biden’s global business affairs were flagged as concerning by U.S. banks for further review. Some of those concerns included large wire transfers.”
  • Senators are looking into the situation where James Biden's company, the Lion Hall Group, received payments from a Chinese consulting group in 2018 and that James and Hunter were put on monthly retainers with that company, giving Hunter $100,000 a month and James $65,000 a month.
  • A Senate investigation showed that Jame Biden and his wife, Sara, “tapped into a line of credit that Hunter set up with a Chinese business executive to purchase more than $100,000 in airline tickets, hotels, and restaurants.”
Given that Hunter Biden has flown around the world on Air Force Two with his father when Biden was Vice President, closing deals with Chinese businesses in the process, 150 flagged transactions that might be suspicious and criminal is not a surprise. Possible corruption at the highest level of the U.S. government.

2) Years ago the Obama administration started the so-called “Obama Phone” program to get phones into the hands of poor Americans. The program made little sense, why should the Federal government get involved in the cell phone business when there were so many other social needs that needed to be addressed: homelessness, hunger, drug addiction, etc.

Well, years after the program began, we can now see how corrupt and wasteful it was with taxpayer dollars:
  • The sole company that Obama selectre to distribute Obama cell phones,TracPhone Wireless, has agreed to pay a $13.4 million fine after it was accused of signing up a whopping 175,000 people that did not qualify for the program.
  • The obvious conclusion is that TracPhone did not care if the guidelines were followed since they were going to get paid with U.S. taxpayer money for each and every customer they signed up, rules be damned.
  • And it was only years after this corruption went down is that company being held responsible.
  • According to the Department of Justice: “The government alleged that TracFone failed to adequately review the applications and did not properly investigate reports of clearly ineligible subscribers enrolled in the program that would have revealed the glitch. After TracFone eventually discovered the software glitch in August 2015, it repaid more than $10.9 million to Lifeline (Obama phone program name), an amount that was credited as part of the $13.4 million settlement.”
  • FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel stated that “today’s settlement reflects the FCC’s ongoing commitment to root out waste, fraud and abuse in its universal service programs.”
Yes, this corruption was identified and remedied. But I doubt that $13.4 million covered the entire fraud since the program costs American taxpayers about $2 billion a year and has been running for about six years.Thus, a $13.4 million fine on a base of about $12 billion in expenditures comes out to a measly .1%, hardly enough to cover at least 175,000 in bogus accounts. The good news is the corruption was found and identified, the bad news is that the American taxpayer still probably got the short end of the corruption.

3) Consider this sick corruption by a heavy election donor up in the state of Maine:
  • So-called mega-donor, Eliot Cutler, was recently arrested in Brooklin, Maine.
  • He s facing four counts of possession of unlawful sexually explicit material of children.
  • He faces up to twenty years in prison and likely faces additional charges.
  • Cutler worked in the Carter administration, he worked for Maine Senator Ed Muskie, and twice ran for governor of Maine.
  • He has also been a mega-donor to other politicians' election campaigns including Biden, Obama, Senator Bernie Sanders, and to state Democratic parties in at least eight other states.
This guy is obviously innocent until proven guilty. However, if guilty, it is a picture into the type of moral corruption that populates the American political scene.

4) But it's not only failed politicians and election donors that excel in potential corruption, politicians currently in office also have a history of being corrupt. Consider:
  • New York state government, home to the perversion and corruption of a recent governor, Andrew Cuomo, has a potential new corruption problem brewing.
  • Current Lt. Governor, Brian Benjamin, is under investigation by the Feds and the FBI for allegedly directing fraudulent funds to his failed campaign to become NYC comptroller.
  • The Southern District of New York has issued grand jury subpoenas covering his campaign committee, his staffers, and election consulting companies.
  • Harlem real estate investor, Gerald Migdol, was charged in 2021 with a variety of crimes along with coming up with a plan to conceal multiple illegal contributions to Benjamin’s election campaign.
Again, innocent until proven guilty. But Federal subpoenas are not issued unless there is some substantial material and evidence of misbehaving.

Child porn, election campaign law violations, wasted taxpayer money on free phones, and financial shenanigans by a President's family. Oh, we are just getting warmed up on the corruption chronicles.
