Match, 2020, Part 7,Political Class Insanity: A Democratic Party Fund Raising Scandal, A Democratic Meth and Drunk Scandal, and A Liberal Tells Why Pelosi Needs To Go

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) We have never been a big fan of Hillary Clinton. Besides protecting, abetting, and defending the sexual predator habits of her husband, she operated the State Department and the Clinton Foundation as a money laundering operation to enrich her and her family. 

And while she has never been brought to justice, it appears that a lot of her past associates and donors may actually be brought to justice:

• The Gateway Pundit website recently reported that George Nader had been indicted for illegal campaign contributions that he funneled from foreign entities to Hillary’s 2016 campaign.
• Nader is a long term Democratic party operative and was a major witness for Robert Mueller’s Russian/Trump collusion investigation.
• Additionally, Attorney General Bill Barr has indicted eight other people for illegally funneling foreign sources of campaign cash to Hillary Clinton, Adam Schiff, and multiple Democratic Senators.
• This foreign money found its way into Democratic Party state organizations, many Democratic Super PACS, and the campaigns of Democrats such as Clinton, Schiff, Cory Booker, Ted Lieu, and Jon Tester.
• They were arrested under a 53 count indictment that included such charges as conspiracy, making conduit contributions, excessive contributions, making false statements, false record keeping, and obstruction.
• We are talking about millions and millions of dollars in illegal campaign contributions.

Just another example that shows how corrupt our political processes have become. The question that always needs to be asked is how many other illegal activities involving millions of dollars corrupting our political processes have not been caught, stopped, and prosecuted? The good news is that these alleged law breakers may be brought to justice but are there others that are getting away with similar law breaking activities?

2) As a Florida resident, I am fully aware that Democrat Andrew Gillum lost out being governor of Florida by a very narrow margin, .4% in fact. Given what recently happened in Miami involving himself and a few others indicate that Florida may have really dodged a nasty political bullet:

• According to local news reports out of Miami, Gillum was involved in a suspected crystal meth incident in Miami Beach.
• Police reports indicate that EMT crews were called to a Miami Beach hotel at 1:00 in the morning about a reported drug overdose.
• Gillum and two other men, one of whom is a famous gay male escort, were reportedly in the hotel room at the time.
• The police reports indicate that Gillum was in an “inebriated state” at the scene of the “possible drug overdose” and that there were “clear plastic baggies that contained suspected crystal meth” nearby.
• Police officers said they tried to communicate with Gillum but that he was too inebriated to respond.
• Gillum denied in a press release that had ever used meth and that only he had had too much to drink.

Whether he was telling the truth and had never used meth or not, it displays very poor judgement for someone who claims to be a leader in the community to be found inebriated and with someone that was so high on meth that EMT and police had to be called. Nice example of the American political class.

3) Speaking of no class, let's move onto a Nancy Pelosi story. As you may recall, Pelosi acted like a five year old brat during the January State of The Union message by refusing to properly introduce Trump prior to the state of the union message and then insulted amazing Americans that Trump had cited in his speech by arrogantly and childishly ripping up a copy of the President’s speech in front of the entire country.

It was a disgusting and immature display, a display that a leading liberal law professor finds so heinous that he has called for her removal as Speaker of the House:

• Apparently Jonathan Turley is a liberal, Constitutional Law professor at George Washington University.
• He is also a big, vocal critic of President Trump.
• He also thinks that Pelosi should resign over her ripping up of Trump’s speech.
• He said that she disrespected over one hundred years of tradition and disrespected the office of both the Presidency and Speaker of the House.
• Specifically, “First, Pelosi dropped the traditional greeting before the start of the address, “Members of Congress, I have the high privilege and distinct honor of presenting to you the president of the United States.” Instead, she simply announced, “Members of Congress, the president of the United States.” It was extremely petty and profoundly inappropriate. Putting aside the fact that this is not her tradition, but that of the House, it is no excuse to note that the president was impeached.”
• In addition: “Pelosi has demolished decades of tradition with this poorly considered moment. Of course, many will celebrate her conduct and be thrilled by the insult to Trump. However, even those of us who disagree with his policies should consider what Pelosi destroyed in her moment of rage. She shredded the pretense of governing with civility and dignity in the House. Notably, she did not wait to rip up her copy of the speech until after she left the House floor. Pelosi wanted to do it in front of the cameras, at the end of the address with the president still in the chamber. That act was more important to Pelosi than preserving the tradition of her office. In doing so, she forfeited the right to occupy that office. If Pelosi cannot maintain the dignity and neutrality of her office at the State of the Union, she should resign as the speaker of the House of Representatives.”

Wow, finally someone in Washington with a shred of decency and a sense of doing the right thing. Too bad he is not running the show down there and that childish antics from Pelosi will not be punished, an insult to Americans, the office of the Presidency, and the need to act like adults in these times of great political difference across the country. 

That will do it for today’s insanity: a liberal law professor reminds us how childish and immature Nancy Pelosi is, Andrew Gillum reminds us how childish and immature he appears to be, and multiple lawbreakers remind us how corrupt and broken our political processes are.
