Consider the plethora of problems that are facing Americans these days:
On any day there are between 500,000 and 600,000 homeless Americans.
Tens of millions of Americans are facing food insecurity problems.
Over 100,000 Americans die from drug overdoses every year and that number is violently trending upwards given the tons of fentanyl flowing over the southern border.
Upwards of 14 million Americans are about to lose their Medicaid health insurance coverage.
The United States Department of Agriculture is going to lower the milk allowance for families who participate in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program For Women, Infants, and Children.
Only one in five U.S. households can afford to purchase their own home, given high interest rates caused by Biden’s inflationary policies, the lowest affordability percentage ever.
In many cities (e.g. Chicago, Philadelphia, Minneapolis) every single child in every single grade in every single public school is not a reading at grade level or have math skills at grade level.
About 20% of American households have fallen behind in paying their utility bills.
Prices for life’s basics, food, gas, rents, etc. have risen significantly in the past two years, straining tens of millions of American household budgets.
Medicare and Social Security continue to hurtle towards financial insolvency.
Homelessness, hunger, drug addiction, under educated kids, inflation, etc. the issues facing Americans are monumental. And yet, consider a small fraction of budget items that Biden thinks are a great use of American taxpayer wealth in his upcoming Federal budget fiscal year:
$3,000,000,000 to be spent around the world on “gender equity and equility.”
An additional $7,000,000,000 to be spent on foreign aid around the world, bringing the total amount in his budget for foreign aid to just over $70,000,000,000.
$7,100,000,000 in funding for the Marshall Islands, Micronesia and Palau (I would bet that 99.9% of American adults could not find any of these three islands on a map.)
Yes, billions and billions of American tax dollars to be spent around the world on unknown islands and stupid, nonessential gender equity programs.
Let’s do some math and find out how much Americans in need could be helped with this wealth that Biden is spreading around the world:
Let’s assume that the $3,000,000,000 in gender equity could be spent to help Americans instead.
Using Feed America’s statistics, the $3,000,000,000 could have provided over 1,000,000,000 healthy meals to America’s 600,000 homeless citizens.
That would come out to roughly 1,700 meals per homeless person, providing each homeless person three meals a day for over 560 days or more than three meals a day for over a year and a half.
Another example of a better use of $3,000,000,000: according to the Federal government, it costs, on average, about $6,500 a year to provide drug addiction help to a drug addicted American.
Thus, that $3,000,000,000 could provide drug addition help to almost 500,000 Americans, possibly saving untold thousands of American lives a year.
You get the idea, America is hurting. Americans are hurting. And yet Biden and others in Washington have a whole different set of priorities when it comes to spending our tax dollars, preferring to spread that money around the world for stupid, needless and dubious programs when Americans need help next door. Has a President and Presidential administration ever been so tone deaf to the crises facing the country? Doubtful.
