We are going to kick off a series of posts today themed under the title, “The Biden Presidency - The End Of An Error,” In our opinion, Biden has been, by far, the worst President in the past 100 years or so. His list of failures is amazingly long, his list of successes and accomplishments is quite literally void of anything worthwhile.
Today we will list, off of the top of our heads, his failures based on what we have observed and blogged about over the past four years. In subsequent posts, we will list the failures that have been documented by other Americans. Obviously, there will be some overlap across different writers but at the end of the day, one thing will be clear: the country and its citizens are in far worse shape than they were in January, 2021 when Biden took office.
So as Biden leaves office, let’s walk down memory line and remember the “End of an Error:”
Foreign Affairs and Diplomacy
Biden completely botched the withdrawal from Afghanistan, the worst U.S. military defeat since Pearl Harbor, when he implemented a plan that both his civilian and military advisors said would not work.
His botched plan resulted in the unnecessary deaths of 13 brave American service people and hundreds of innocent Afghan civilians.
He then compounded his faulty planning by dishonoring the memory of those fallen soldiers multiple times once their bodies were returned to this country.
His failed withdrawal plans left behind tens of billions of dollars worth of taxpayer funded military equipment that the Taliban can obviously use to oppress their own people and oppose their enemies around the world.
His foreign policy victories are nonexistent as he inherited a world at peace but allowed it to spiral out of control with wars raging between Ukraine and Russia, Israel and Hamas/Hezbollah/Iran, and China threatening to invade Taiwan.
He made absolutely no effort to engage in dialog with Putin to try and end the conflict in Ukraine, he did not have a single direct conversation with Putin, either face-to-face or via telephone and his Secretary of State had exactly one meeting with the Russian foreign minister, all of which resulted in not even minimal progress towards a negotiated peace in the conflict.
With no peace or no diplomatic success, Biden's Ukraine/Russia strategy and policy consisted simply of sending hundreds of billions of unaccounted for dollars to one of the most corrupt governments in the world, Ukraine.
His weakness on the foreign affairs arena has allowed China to continue to supply base chemicals to Mexican cartels which change those base chemicals into lethal drugs such as fentanyl which help kill over 100,000 Americans every year, it has allowed China to significantly extend its influence and reach from Cuba to South America to Africa, allowed North korea to re-energize its military and nuclear forces, and has allowed Iran to reassert its troublemaking in the Middle East.
Economic Policies and Programs
Biden’s economic policies resulted in rampaging inflation that early in his term saw the annual inflation rate hitting levels not seen in over forty years.
Inflation is still raging high above the 2% annual rate that is considered necessary for a healthy, growing economy.
Biden’s policies and budgets have added almost $8,000,000,000,000 to the national debt and on his watch the annual interest paid to service the national debt exceeded $1,000,0000,000,000 for the first time.
Consumer prices increased more than expected in December, rising .4% on a month over month basis.
This brought the annualized consumer inflation rate to 2. 9% which is 45% higher than what is considered healthy for a strong, growing economy.
Given that the annualized number was 2.7% in July, the trend is not good.
The average price of eggs has gone from $1.67 a dozen in January, 2021, the month Biden took office, to $4.62 today, a 2.8 times increase.
The average price of butter was $3.30 a pound in January, 2021 and is about $4.73 today, a 43% increase.
The average 30 year fixed rate mortgage rate was 2.65% in January, 2021 and is 6.42% today, a 2.4 times increase.
The average price for a gallon of gas was $2.37 in January, 2021 and is about $3..02 today, a 27% increase.
Note on the gas prices: in January, 2023 the average price of gas was $3.44 a gallon, 45% higher than what it was in January, 2021.
Thus, the price of gas has come down but not before Americans spent several years paying far more than what they are paying today which is still 27% higher than January, 2021.
Americans’ credit card balances are at all time highs, over $1 trillion, indicating that many Americans are living from credit card statement to credit card statement.
Quality of Life Issues
There are about 772,000 homeless Americans living on the streets today, an 18% increase in one year under the Biden administration and much more than double the number of homeless that existed when Biden took office.
Obe 47 million Americans live in a so-called food insecure household, meaning that 47 million Americans are not sure of their future availability of food.
Over 26 million Americans still do not have health insurance in the country.
Biden, like most Presidents and Congresses before him, has done nothing to fix either Medicare or Social Security, both programs of which are hurtling towards financial collapse.
Crime has skyrocketed over the past four years, since according to the National Crime Victimization Survey, violent crime is up from 5.6 per 1,000 Americans in 2020 to 8.7 in 2023, rapes increased from 1.2 per 1,000 Americans in 2020 to 1.7 per 1,000 in 2023, robbery went from 1.6 in 2020 to 2.6 in 2023 and aggravated assault went from 2.9 in 2020 to 4.5 in 2023.
Illegal Immigration
Well over ten million, un-vetted and unknown illegal immigrants from well over 85 countries have entered the country since Biden took office.
Among these millions of illegal immigrants were members of drug trafficking cartels, international organized crime syndicates, child and sex trafficking groups, terrorist organizations, and ordinary criminals, all of which helped drive the crime rates higher and higher in this country.
A record number of illegal drug seizures at the border as a result of Biden’s failed border security problems means that a record number of dangerous illegal drugs are likely entering the country, killing Americans everyday.
As Americans go hungry, homeless, and in need of medical and drug addiction help, illegal immigrants continue to get free food, free shelter, and free medical help across the country, with American taxpayers footing the bill to service and coddle the illegal immigrants he has allowed to enter the country, a bill that the Congressional Budget Office expects to be almost $180 billion by 2034.
Very distressing is the reality is that the Biden administration has admitted that it has lost track of over 300,000 illegal immigrant kids, many of whom have likely been taken by child trafficking, and child labor criminal organizations.
Thousands of Americans have been killed, raped, and robbed by illegal criminal elements that Biden has allowed to enter the country with no ramifications including the following very, very small sample:
Laken Riley, an American nursing student in Georgia - abducted, beaten, raped, and killed by an illegal immirant from Venezuela.
Rachel Morin: an American mother of five kids in Maryland - abducted, beaten, raped, and killed by an illegal immirant from El Salvador.
Jocelyn Nungaraay, an American 12 year old girl in Texas - abducted and killed by an illegal immigrant from Venezuela.
Adam Luker: an American 19 year old in Alabama - run over and killed by an intoxicated illegal immigrant from
Dividing the Country Rather Than Uniting the Country
Biden has constantly perpetuated the myth of “white supremacy.”
His Department of Justice has continually harassed innocent Americans for simply exercising their First Amendment rights be they pro life supporters, Catholics, or other Americans that have a different opinion than him.
He threatened to use Air Force jets to attack innocent Americans who were exercising their second Amendment rights.
He called tens of millions of Americans “garbage.”
He pushed D.E.I. principles and transgender issues down the throats of Americans for four years.
And Most Dangerously
All of his foreign policy failures, all of his publicly displayed weaknesses and inability to function, and most importantly, his failed economic policies, have given our enemies the first real chance since the Second World War to upend the American dollar as the universal monetary choice of exchange. The so-called BRICs coalition has for the first time the potential of displacing the dollar as the preferred way of doing business around the world. And if successful, it will unleash dire and very expensive inflation and financial consequences on every American.
Thus, the above list is why we conclude that Biden presided over the worst Presidency in the past hundred years and maybe longer. Given his lack of strategic thinking, his declining cognitive state from before the 2020 election, his assembling of probably the weakest and least creative and productive Cabinet in a long time, and his desire to take vacation after vacation away from the problems of the country make him the epitome of a failed administration.
