On a periodic basis we review the wasteful government spending via a continuing theme of “By The Numbers.” We review how poorly taxpayer wealth is being spent and wasted on stupid programs and projects and also how many government programs are being ripped off of billions and billions of dollars by fraud and criminal enterprises. Today is just another sad chapter on how politicians and government bureaucrats are pretty inept when it comes to safeguarding taxpayer dollars.
We have a really disgusting set of numbers today for you but before we get to them consider some of these very distressing numbers affecting many American citizens:
There are currently about 770,000 homeless Americans in the country today.
Well over 100,000 Americans will die this year from a drug overdose because they could not get the drug addiction treatment they needed.
13.5% of Americans or about 47 million people are living in so-called “food insecure households,” households where it is often a challenge to feed their families because of unemployment and inflation.
Of that 47 million, about 14 million of them are American kids.
About 26 million Americans are not covered by any health insurance policy.
Yes, there are a lot of Americans in dire need of help. And as we have pointed out many times in this blog, the American political class would rather spend our taxpayer dollars on stupid projects, both here and around the world, than help these Americans in need.
But even we were shocked when Trump decided to shut down one, single government agency, USAID, which uncovered how disgustedly bad the people in Washington have been spending our tax dollars while Americans suffer:
— $7.9 million to teach Sri Lankan journalists how to avoid “binary-gendered language.”
— $20 million for a new Sesame Street show in Iraq.
— $4.5+ million to “combat disinformation” in Kazakhstan.
— $1.5 million for “art for inclusion of people with disabilities.”
— $2 million for sex changes and “LGBT activism” in Guatemala.
— $6 million to “transform digital spaces to reflect feminist democratic principles.”
— $2.1 million to help the BBC “value the diversity of Libyan society.”
— $10 million worth of USAID-funded meals, which went to an al Qaeda-linked terror group.
— $25 million for Deloitte to promote “green transportation” in the country of Georgia.
— $2.5 million to promote “inclusion” in Vietnam.
— $16.8 million for a SEPARATE “inclusion” group in Vietnam.
— ~$5 million to EcoHealth Alliance, one of the key NGOs funding bat virus research at the Wuhan lab, you know, the pace that developed and then lost control of the covid virus that ruined our lives for several years and killed untold thousands..
— $20 million for a group related to a key player in the Russiagate impeachment hoax.
— $1.1 million to an Armenian “LGBT group.”
— $1.2 million to help the African Methodist Episcopal Church Service and Development Agency in Washington, D.C., build “a state-of-the-art 440 seat auditorium.”
— $1.5 million to promote “LGBT advocacy” in Jamaica.
— $2 million to promote “LGBT equality through entrepreneurship” in Latin America.
— $500K to solve sectarian violence in Israel (just ten days before the Hamas October 7 attack).
— $2.3 million for “artisanal and small-scale gold mining” in the Amazon.
— $3.9 million for “LGBT causes” in the western Balkans.
— $5.5 million for LGBT activism in Uganda.
— $6 million for advancing LGBT issues in “priority countries around the world.”
— $6.3 million for men who have s*x with men in South Africa.
— $8.3 million for “USAID Education: Equity and Inclusion.”
Wow. American taxpayer dollars spent around the world to places like Guatemala, Jamaica, South Africa, Uganda, the Balkans, the Amazon, Gaza, Armenia, Vietnam, Libya, Iraq, and who knows where else? I did not see a lot of money going to Pittsburgh, Chicago, the Bronx, Los Angeles, western North Carolina, and other needy areas in this country.
The above list, which I doubt is the complete list of wasteful spending, cost us about $154 million:
Given that it costs, on average, about $2.94 to provide a good meal to a homeless person across the country, that $154 million could have provided about 52 million meals to the country’s homeless population.
According to www.drugabuse.gov, it costs, on average, $6,522 to provide an annual drug addiction treatment program for a drug addict which means that $154 million could be used to treat almost 24,000 addicts and probably save thousands of lives.
In my set of properties, creating millions of meals for homeless Americans and providing drug addiction treatment for thousands of Americans is much better use of my tax dollars than sending it to Uganda for LGBT activism, inclusion programs in Vietnam, a Sesame Street program in Iraq, etc. but those are just my priorities.
But this disgusting waste of taxpayer wealth is even worse. These programs are likely nothing more than a money laundering operation for Washington politicians:
Washington politicians and bureaucrats create these nonsense programs.
The Federal government then signs contracts with NGOs, Non Government Organizations, to theoretically implement these plans.
These NGOs are very often tied into the politicians that created the budget for these programs to begin with.
The operators/owners of these operations probably then kickback a load of taxpayer dollars to fund Washington politicians’ never ending reelection campaigns, and the money laundering cycle is complete.
Consider a prime example of this type of money laundering at the following link where former Secretary of State John Kerry helped his daughter, the owner of an NGO, get a NO BID $9 million contract form the American taxpayer:

Unbelievable wasteful spending and corruption. And this is probably just the beginning of what is likely to be a long list of government and politician disgraceful actions. Stay tuned for more numbers.
