Even though we have spent a lot of our recent posts discussing how DOGE and Trump are identifying and eliminating stupid and wasteful spending of the Federal government. However, that does not mean that the American political class had stopped doing stupid and inane things, be it wasting taxpayer wealth, enriching themselves and family members, implementing stupid government programs, etc.
We usually called these failures “political class insanity.” Thus, let’s catch up on the insanity that American politicians have continued to indulge in:
1)It has always been our opinion that the Biden Presidency was one of the worst in over a hundred years. Failed economic policies, failed diplomatic policies, failed immigration policies, the list seems endless. And it now it appears that it was not just incompetence that made for this failed administration, the corruption that went along with it gets more and more revealed:
FBI Deputy Director, Dan Bongino, recently announced that the FBI is going to dive deeper into some of the Biden administration's corruption incidents.
These incidents of potential corruption include the January 6th pipe bomb mystery, the 2022 Supreme Court abortion draft opinion leak, and the still unexplained bag of cocaine found inside the White House.
One viewpoint is that the FBI under Biden suppressed the investigation into these incidents since they were politically motivated and/or illegal.
Thus, even though the incompetency of the Biden Presidency is a thing of the past, there is a good chance that more negative and corruption performances from the last four years of Biden are still to come.
2)Additional corruption and failures of the Biden administration are not just possible from the FBI investigations discussed above:
Apparently, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has been operating a loan forgiveness program for American farmers.
But a whistle blower has come forward to accuse the Biden administration of racial bias in that the claim is that white farmers were excluded from the forgiveness program simply for being white.
This is apparently similar to the Pigford scandal under the Obama administration.
In that scandal Obama allowed a discrimination government program to balloon into a $1.33 billion payout of Federal taxpayer dollars to Hispanic, Native American, and female farmers because of probably illusional discrimination but not to white farmers.
According to the current whistle blower, the current farmer loan forgiveness program was explicitly designed to exclude white farmers, “it was to pay off anyone who wasn't a white male’s loan.”
Seems that every day brings another Biden scandal and misuse of power.
3)But current DC scandals and corruption are not just coming from the Biden administration:
Florida Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick is facing multiple allegations that she violated House of Representative rules.
Specifically, she is accused of using Congressional funds for a for-profit entity.
The Office of Congressional Conduct wants a full scale investigation into whether or not the Congresswoman diverted $5 million she got from Congress’ 2023 budget to a for-profit entity rather than a Florida telemedicine non-profit that was where the funds were supposed to go.
Specifically, did the Congresswoman make "payments to an entity in violation, of House committee rules and standards of conduct.”
Additionally an investigation claims that Cherfilus-McCormick “may have dispensed special favors or privileges to friends in connection with her Congressional office’s requests for community project funding.”
“Dispenses special favors or privileges to friends…” More potential corruption from the American political class, taking care of friends and family, much like the Biden crime family.
4)And finally, it is not just Presidents and members of Congress that are corrupt and ripping off the American taxpayer:
An employee of the Department of Agriculture and five others have been accused of allegedly stealing a whopping $66 million from the Federal government Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also commonly known as food stamps.
The investigators who broke the fraud called it “one of the largest food stamp frauds in U.S. history.”
The employee, Michael Kehoe, is accused of operating a New York based criminal enterprise that tricked the Federal government into issuing about 160 electronic benefit transfer (EBT) machines to businesses that were not supposed to get a machine, e.g. smoke shops.
U.S. Attorney Perry Carbone: “Michael Kehoe and his co-conspirators misappropriated tens of millions of dollars in taxpayer funds meant to help low-income families put food on the table.”
The alleged criminals face up 35 years in prison for their criminal activity.
The good news is this alleged criminal enterprise has been found and broken. The bad news is that we have no idea how many other government employees are running similar scams of taxpayer wealth and whether they will ever be brought to justice.
That will do it for today: more scandals and corruption from the Biden ashes, more potential corruption from a member of Congress, and another government employee helps himself to taxpayer wealth.
