We have spent a lot of posts lately handicapping the race to bankruptcy court relative to financially troubled cities and states. We will take a break from that theme for a little while and touch on some other topics of political class insanity.
Today we will look back on the insanity of Joe Biden’s political career, specifically, the many, many racist comments he made over the past decades. It is amazing that someone with such a despicable history of racist statements became President of the United States. It is one thing to oversee government programs that are corrupted with fraud, inefficiencies, and failures. But the racist past of Biden’s comments should never be allowed to sit in the White House.
The problem regarding this topic is how much research we thought would have to be done to document all of the racist comments of Biden. Fortunately, we recently came across an article on the Wisconsin Right Now website by Jessica McBride that did the research for us. So, before any Democrat or liberal calls someone a racist, remind them who they voted for back in 2020:
1)Biden called Obama the first "mainstream African-American who is articulate and clean”: “I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,
I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”
2)Senator James Eastland is generally recognized to have been a racist serving in the Senate who allegedly once referred to African Americans as an “inferior race” and that desegregation would lead to “mongrelization”. But Biden had a pretty kind recollection of Eastland: “I was in a caucus with James O. Eastland. He never called me ‘boy,’ he always called me ‘son.’”
3)More recently Biden insulted black Americans during his Presidential campaign, basically calling African Americans stupid if they did not vote for him: “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”
4)But it was not just black Americans who Biden racially insulted” “You cannot go into a Dunkin’ Donuts or a 7-Eleven unless you have a slight Indian accent.”
5)He once asked a black journalist if the journalist was a junkie after the journalist asked Biden if he had taken a cognitive test, a perfectly innocent question: “Come on, man! That’s like saying you . . . before you got in this program, you’re take [sic] a test whether you’re taking cocaine or not. What do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?”
6)He insulted the entire African American community when he compared them to the country’s Latino community: “Unlike the African American community, with notable exceptions, the Latino community is an incredibly diverse community with incredibly different attitudes about different things.” In other words, all black Americans are alike, all Latino Americans are unique and diverse.
7)One of the most insulting things that can be said to a black man is to call him “boy.” Society has recognized the derogatory context of this slur for years. Which did not stop Biden from doing it twice in recent years. After presenting actor and rap singing star, LL Cool J. with the Phoenix Award, Biden went ahead and referred to him as “boy:” “Two of the great artists of our time representing the groundbreaking legacy of hip hop in America, LL Jay Cool J, uhhh … By the way, that boy’s got— that man’s got biceps bigger than my thighs.”
8)He continued with the “boy” insult when referring to the black governor of Maryland, Wes Moore: “You got a hell of a new governor in Wes Moore, I tell ya. He’s the real deal, and the boy looked like he could still play. He’s got some guns on him.” Black Senator, Corey Booker, summed the insults nicely: “You don’t joke about calling black men boys.”
9)But it is not just black Americans that Biden insulted by calling them “boys.” Several years ago, Japanese pro golfer Hideki Matsuyama won the prestigious Masters golf tournament. In a press conference standing next to the Japanese Prime Minister, Biden invoked the racist “boy” term against an Asian: “You’ve got a Japanese boy coming over here and winning the Masters. He won the green jacket. … the first Japanese player to take home that green jacket.”
10)To add to the above racist slurs and insults, let’s review some research that former South Carolina governor and Presidential candidate, Nikki Haley, did regarding Biden’s very long racist comment history:
From 1971 to 1974, Biden’s legal residence had a deed barring ownership by African Americans.
In 1974, Biden made an analogy of himself as a 29 year old in the Senate to being a “token black.”
In 1975, Biden asked if “the only way a black man or woman can learn is if they rub shoulders with my white child?”
In 1977, Biden said that busing would cause his children to grow up in “a racial jungle.”
In 1977, Biden voted against Black Justice Department nominees specifically over his opposition to busing.
In 1977, Biden said he asked to join the Senate Judiciary Committee specifically to lead the charge against busing.
In 1979, Biden voted to allow racially segregated private schools to keep their tax exempt status.
In 1981, Biden said George Wallace was “right about some things.”
In 1984, Biden used the word “boy” to refer to Jesse Jackson.
In 1985, Biden made a favorable comparison between segregationist Senator John Stennis and Confederate General Stonewall Jackson.
In 1987, Biden “sought to appeal to white voters” by touting an award he received from George Wallace in 1973 where he praised Biden as “one of the outstanding young politicians in America.”
During his 1988 campaign, Biden falsely claimed he was part of the civil rights movement, saying he “marched” in his “youth.”
In his 2007 book, Promises To Keep, Biden admitted that, as a young person, he had “no real relationships with Black people.”
In 2010, Biden delivered a 22-minute eulogy, the longest speech, at Senator Robert Byrd’s (D-WV) memorial service, calling the former KKK member a “friend,” “mentor,” and “guide.”
In 2016, Biden praised segregationist Senator John Stennis as a “friend” and an “honorable” man.
In 2019, Biden recalled the era when “he was able to get along with segregationist senators.”
In 2019, Biden said the Obama administration went “into the hood” of Detroit to recruit minorities.
In 2019, Biden claimed a major problem Black communities face is illiteracy, saying Black “parents can’t read or write themselves,” leaving Black attendees “shocked and frustrated.”
In 2019, Biden said that “poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.”
In 2020, Biden suggested some people were able to quarantine during Covid because “some black woman was able to stack the grocery shelf.”
During a 1985 hearing, Biden repeated the words of another person, insensitive to the negative and horrible connotations of the word: “We already have a n—– mayor, we don’t need any more n—– big shots.”
Unbelievable that a man with this kind of racist comment history actually became President. It shows how corrupt our political class has become along with how corrupt the political processes have become. In addition, it is an indictment of the corporate news industry on how most of this was not reported by the liberal press in order to protect their political favorites.
