October, 2020, Part 5, Political Class Insanity: A Small Town Mayor Goes TDS, A U.S.Senator Goes Trivial, and the Washington Post Goes After Kids

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

To review past posts on this insanity and idiocy, just click on the first few posts in each month listed to the right of this page. After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) Politicians in a perfect world would be dignified leaders, respective of all of their voters. However, anyone who has followed this blog knows that American politicians are overwhelmingly NOT leaders, dignified and respective. They are usually greedy, shallow, and ineffective people that never get anything accomplished.

Such is the case of the mayor of a small town in the rural areas of New Jersey and her recent childish outburst:

• Flemington, New Jersey is an old, quaint town in the rolling hills in western New Jersey, about five miles from where I used to live.
• The current mayor is Betsy Driver who I am assuming is a Democrat, given she is not a big fan of Trump.
• She is so not a fan that she recently, on her Facebook page likened Trump supporters to “religious zealots” who want to “enact the Christian version of Sharia law.”
• First of all, I did not know there is a Christian version of Sharia and I doubt it exists because it looks like the good mayor is in the throes of a TDS, Trump Derangement Syndrome, attack.
• Not only does she slander every Trump supporter and make up a fake Christian tenet, she goes over the edge with her follow up comments: “If you voted for the orange monster with COVID, go f— yourself. If you plan on voting for him again, unfriend me and go f— yourself again.”
• To say this is a dignified leader would be comical, she is on the verge of being certifiable crazy.
• County Republicans properly pointed out how intolerable and insulting her words were, calling them shameful and insulting and calling for the good, wacko mayor to resign:“Your statement is antithetical to the principles of representative democracy. It is further proof that you do not represent the people of Flemington, the character of Hunterdon County, and the values of at least part of the Democrat party.”

But the whole situation gets even funnier and more ridiculous in that the mayor claims that her words were taken out of context! Really not sure how “go F___ yourself” can be taken out of any context imaginable, seems pretty straightforward. 

Which gets us to another sad attribute of American opticians: when they say ridiculous stuff like “go F__ yourself” was taken out of context do they think we are too stupid to realize how inane her comment is or does she really believe her statement? In either case, she is obviously unfit to fairly serve ALL of her constituents in the town of Flemington, Republicans and Democrats.

2) We have often wondered out loud which member of Congress has said the most stupid things over the years. Nancy Pelosi was the long time leading candidate for that title but over the past few years people like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sheila Jackson Lee have come on strong with absolutely ignorant and/or silly statements.

But there is a newcomer to this competition. Hawaiian Senator Mazie Hirono has come up with some pretty good idiotic comments lately, the latest one coming from the Senate hearings for Supreme Court nominee Amy Cooney Barrett:

• The good Senator actually asked Judge Barrett if she had ever sexually assaulted another person.
• Now, keep in mind there was no evidence she did, no one had come forward to claim that actually happened, it was just a ridiculous, unfounded and stiupid thing to ask a well respected judge and woman.
• The exchange between the Senator and Judge went as follows:

Hirono: I ask each nominee these two questions and I will ask them of you. Since you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature?

Barrett: No, Senator Hirono.

Hirono: Have you ever faced discipline or entered into a settlement related to this kind of conduct?

Barrett: No, Senator.

Roe Vs. Wade, Gun Control, Judicial Overreach, Civil Rights, etc., there are dozens of important issues that the Senator could have asked of the judge. But no, she decided to ask these two ridiculous questions that have no basis in reality. What a waste of time and breath.

Would she have asked these same questions if Joe Biden was nominated for the court, given his extensive sexual harassment and sexual predator beahviors that are well documented? I doubt it because the hypocrisy is strong with every Washington politician.

3) It has always been our position that democracy needs a strong, independent, smart, and unbiased press. Such a strong press would make sure that misbehaving politicians stay in place since those in the free press would be honest, stay in integrity, and chase down stories regardless of whose political party the subject of that story was associated with.

But, sadly, that is not the situation today in this country. Different media and journalism entities have taken sides in the political discourse in this country, standing up for one part of the political spectrum no matter how corrupt while trying to find even the tiniest hint of wrongdoing on other parts of the spectrum.

The Washington Post is no different. Its reporting and blatant hatred for anything Trump is well documented and known, as illustrated in the following bit of tripe that the Post recently published:

• Amy Cooney Barrett is a very well respected judge who has been nominated to sit on the Supreme Court.
• A couple of weeks ago, she was part of a White House press gathering where Trump introduced her as his nominee for the Court.
• Judge Barrett and her family attended the gathering.
• Many people at the gathering unfortunately came down with the coronavirus including the President.
• Fortunately, it appears most have recovered from the virus or are on the way to recovery.
• Judge Barrett has a lot of kids, both her own and adopted, who go to school.
• Unfortunately, two students and a teacher at one of her kids’ schools came down with the virus.
• Mind you there is absolutely no evidence that the Barrett kids had anything to do with the infection of these three people, none whatsoever.
• The Barrett kids tested negative for the virus, they stayed at home for a while after the gathering and only went back to school after the school said it was okay to return, they have had no connection to those that were infected, and have no virus symptoms. 
• But that did not stop Post writer, Amanda Prestigiacomo, from publishing a non-story, strongly implying that the Barrett kids, by attending the press gathering, spread the virus to school folks.
• Specifically: “Two students and a teacher at school attended by Barrett children tested positive for coronavirus,” was the headline to her story.
• After publishing this sensationalism headline and opening implications that somehow the Barrett kids are responsible, she then said, “Parents are freaked out though no proven link.”
• The story went on to say that “no evidence linking the school infections to the White House event.”

This was a non-story and yet the Washington Post still ran with it, implying from the title and the first paragraph that Judge Barrett’s kids somehow got these three people infected. It is only after the sensationalism headlines and first paragraph that they admit there is absolutely no evidence that the Trump meeting and Barrett’s kids had anything to do with the infections. A non-story that should have never been written, there is nothing there. So many other bigger issues and national problems to discuss and this newspaper prints this tripe, insinuating the kids did something bad. Disgusting.

Enough insanity for today: a New Jersey mayor goes off the TDS deep end, a U.S. Senator asks ridiculous questions, and the news media loses even more integrity.

If you answered Democratic Party to each of the above quiz questions you would be right! Whenever Democrats are in charge, it seems that higher crime rates, higher taxes, higher murder rates, higher and less reliable utility costs, higher homeless rates, high government financial risks, and lower quality of life issues seem to appear. 

From Washington to state houses, to mayoral offices, Democrats have never really shown the ability to put together a plan, a budget, a cohesive and fair way of governing that is efficient and effective. If you know of a Democratically controlled Congress, state, or city, please feel free to forward it to me, I could not find one.

35) Which candidate was described by Robert Gates, Obama’s Secretary of Defense, of having ”been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades."?

36) Which candidate would reinstate the nuclear arms deal with Iran, further endangering the safety and future of Israel?

37) Which candidate did NOT negotiate and finalize two historic peace agreements between two Muslim countries and Israel, helping ensure more of Israel’s safety in the future?

32) Which candidate facilitated his son receiving millions and millions of dollars from oligarchs, foreign governments, and possibly criminal enterprises involved in human trafficking and prostitution, as identified by the Treasury Department, from people in the Ukraine, Russia and China?

33) Which candidate and his wife avoided paying millions and millions of dollars in Federal taxes by illegally using an S Corporation to money launder their income?

34) Which candidate was part of an administration that actively sought to sabotage the Presidential campaign and Presidency of a duly and legally elected President by creating and supporting a Russian collusion fallacy, a criminal and treasonous act against the voting rights of the population and the Constitution?

Miscellaneous Idiocy

 35) Which candidate completely botched the opening to the Declaration Of Independence despite his statement that he taught Constitutional law for over 20 years, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, [that] all men and women are created by—you know, you know, the thing.” 

36) What candidate said that ”from the time I got to the Senate 180 years ago,”

37) What candidate donated a measly 1.5% of his 2019 multi-million dollar income to charity?

38) What candidate estimated that 200 million Americans, about 2/3rds of the total population, would die from the coronavirus?

39) Which candidate is against school choice, often the only path for inner city kids to get a decent education and escape a life of poverty?

40) What candidate has the support of the American Communist Party and the PLO?

41) Which candidate, speaking in Kenosha, Wisconsin, said: “A black guy invented the light bulb, not a white guy named Edison.”

42) Which candidate was part of a Presidential administration that added almost ten TRILLION dollars to the national debt, almost equaling the accumulated national debt of EVERY administration, in total, before it?

43) Which candidate called U.S. troops “stupid bastards” in 2016?

44) Which candidate called an American citizen “fat and a liar” after that citizen dared to ask a question about the candidate’s son’s possible overseas corruption?

45) Which candidate told the widow of a fallen serviceman who died in Afghanistan that she “was too pretty for this to happen to her?”

46) Which candidate claimed that Antifa is just "an idea," which would make it the first "idea" to burn down hundreds of buildings, endanger the lives and property of law abiding businesses and residents, injure hundreds of police officers, and take over the downtown centers of at least two major American cities?

If you answered Joe Biden to each of the above quiz questions you would be 100% correct. Joe Biden, as the above 46 statements seem to indicate, is and has been a serial sexual groper and predator for a very long time. His racist comments and attitudes stretch back decades. He lies at the drop of a hat. His foreign policy decisions and positions have never been right. His corruption, self enrichment and enrichment of his family totals millions and millions of dollars. And his statements of idiocy show that his intellectual depth is not that great. 

His over four decade career in Washington politics is void of any significant, positive achievement except for making his family fabulously wealthy. His positions and work have caused the negative disruption of millions of lives, from his advocacy of the Clinton crime bill and the detrimental effect it has had on minorities in this country to his support of stupid foreign wars in Iraq and Libya which has unnecessarily devastated the lives of millions of people overseas. He is not a friend of Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, preferring to support the PLO and Israel’s mortal enemy, Iran.

I welcome anyone to give me 46 reasons why Biden should be elected and would be an effective leader, given his dismal record of politics, foreign policy, and human decency as illustrated by the 46 points above.

But I also have another problem, a deeply personal problem, with the Biden campaign. I was once the long-time co-guardian of an uncle who suffered terribly from dementia. I saw close up what a horrible fate and a horrible end of life experience this disease is. It robs a person of their dignity and their life experiences. And I believe that Joe Biden is in the throes of a similar fate, given his recent behaviors of confusion, aggression, and inability to string two or three thoughts together, the symptoms my uncle exhibited throughout his mental decline.

Thus, I find it disgusting, inhumane, and a severe form of elder abuse that his wife, his family, his friends, and his party handlers would subject him to the rigors, stress, and humiliations of a Presidential campaign for their own benefit. I personally do not feel he is fit from a cognitive ability perspective to be President and for his inner circle of friends and family to put him through this experience when he should be relaxing and enjoying the remaining years of his life, given his mental state, is personally repugnant to me. May they find their just rewards either in this life or the next life for their selfish use and abuse of a senior citizen in distress and for putting the country in this position.

October, 2020, Part 2, Political Class Insanity: Hunter Biden's Shady Dealings, NYPD Police Under Siege, and California Politicians Worry About the Wrong Things

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

1) We have avoided talking a lot about the upcoming Presidential election, just way too much insanity, stupidity, and fake news to comprehend. But we will make an exception today because some very serious documents, research, and conclusions have arisen, that do not involve fake news, that are too important not to discuss when it comes to political corruption.

A Senate report, based on investigations, found that Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son, may have been involved in some very shady financial dealings around the world that may have leveraged his father’s position as Vice President. Bank transfers of huge amounts of money have been uncovered that involved shady foreign clients that send millions of dollars to Hunter Biden’s bank accounts.

Some of these money transfers may involve criminal activity of Hunter Biden, other Biden family members, and friends. His “bankers” include but are not limited to a Russian oligarch, a Ukranian oligarch, a Kazakhstan holding company, and a Chinese businessman linked to the Chinese Communists Party and Chinese Army.

Washington Times reporter Rowan Scarborough noted on September 24: "The report’s phrasing is a sure indicator that Hunter Biden and his associates showed up by name in confidential Suspicious Activity Reports (SARS) issued by the Treasury Department." 

The Senate report concluded: “In particular, these documents show that Hunter Biden received millions of dollars from foreign sources as a result of business relationships that he built during the period when his father was vice president of the United States and after. These foreign nationals have questionable backgrounds that have been identified as being consistent with a range of criminal activities, including but not limited to organized prostitution and/or human trafficking, money laundering, fraud, and embezzlement.”

The transfer to and from Hunter Biden involved millions and millions of dollars and contacts from the Ukraine to Russia to China in multiple transactions. Most distressing is that the Senate report found that Hunter Biden “sent thousands of dollars to individuals who have either: 1) been involved in transactions consistent with possible human trafficking; 2) an association with the adult entertainment industry; or 3) potential association with prostitution. Some recipients of those funds are Ukrainian and Russian citizens. The records note that it is a documented fact that Hunter Biden has sent funds to nonresident alien women in the United States who are citizens of Russia and Ukraine and who have subsequently wired funds they have received from Hunter Biden to individuals located in Russia and Ukraine. The [Treasury] records also note that some of these transactions are linked to what ‘appears to be an Eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring.’ ”

Nice guy. And yet the mainstream fake news media seems to care more about the bogus tax report that the New York Times filed than the multinational, potential crime syndicate that Joe Biden’s son has been financially leveraging through his father for years. Insanity.

2) NYC Mayor Bill de Blasio has never been a fan of the NYPD. The two of them have been at odds since he came into office. He recently decided to cut over a billion dollars from the NYPD police budget as a concession to the anarchist organizations, Back Lives Matter and Antifa. 

But the consequences of such idiocy are already being felt. Violent crime and murders are way up in the city as the mayor reduces and disrespects city law enforcement. Moving companies say they cannot get enough moving vans to help NYC residents escape to places out of the city.

As a consequence of the mayor's disrespecting of the police, riots and violent protests have resulted in 500 NYPD officers being injured over the past few months as they tried to defend the lives and property of innocent residents. Imagine how many civilians would have been hurt, murdered or robbed if those 500 officers had not been out there trying to preserve order.: “The chaos that politicians are encouraging on the streets is putting cops in the hospital,” Patrick Lynch, the head of the Police Benevolent Association, said. “It is not just the nearly 500 cops who have been hit with bricks and bottles or otherwise injured during supposedly ‘peaceful’ protests [Note: 319 of those attacked have seen hospital time]. Hundreds more are being injured because criminals are emboldened to fight cops the moment we step on the scene. They know our hands are tied. Every New Yorker needs to ask their elected officials how cops can protect them when we can barely protect ourselves.”

This year, over 7,000 NYPD officers have been injured, 47% higher than those that were injured for the entire year in 2019. All because a mayor is clueless when it comes to governing, law and order, and determining what is the right thing to do to protect his citizens

3) We have often showed how California is really in a major state of decline:

• It has seen hundreds of thousands of taxpaying residents flee the state in the past ten years because of deteriorating quality of life conditions in the state.
• It, by far, has the largest homeless population in the country.
• The homeless population has led to the return of at least one Medieval disease, typhus.
• Many of the state’s city streets are strewn with uncollected garbage.
• In many state cities it is not illegal to defecate, urinate, or shoot up illegal drugs in public.
• The state public schools do a horrid job educating its students.
• It has unfunded state government financial liabilities that will eventually collapse the state economy and/or state government.
• Over 4 million acres have recently been burned down because of stupid state level political and environmental rules.
• The state government insistence of electrical utilities generating more and more of the state’s electricity from renewable resources has resulted in rolling blackouts and state residents paying 55% more on average for electricity than the rest of the country.
• The state government’s robust plans for building a high speed rail line the length of the state failed miserably but only after wasting tens of millions of dollars.
• The average income of state residents is one of the worst in the country.
• The cost of housing, because of stupid and cumbersome housing regulations which make it almost impossible to build middle and low income housing, results in the highest housing costs in the country.
• The state has the highest marginal state income tax rate in the country, a rate that state politicians want to raise even further.
• The cost and taxing of gasoline in the state is among the highest in the country.

The state is in really bad shape from a quality of life perspective, a taxation perspective, etc. And what is the governor, Gavin Newsom, focusing on:

• He has just chartered s state government study into paying reparations for slavery.
• Yes, his state is going bankrupt, it is burning to the ground, and he is worried about paying citizens for something that happened over 150 years ago when no one in the state was alive.
• He has set up a task force to investigate proposals for potential slavery reparations.
• The task force will make recommendations by July, 2023 that will propose the form of compensation to be awarded and who should be eligible to get the reparation, even though every single Californian African American, 2.2 million, was not alive when slavery existed.

Slavery was horrible, it was demeaning, it was subhuman. But no one today suffered because of slavery that happened over 160 years ago. To think that slavery in 1860 affects someone’s life today is ridiculous. 

The right solution is to fix the broken education system in the state so that African Americans get a solid foundation of life. The right solution is to fix housing problems so that African Americans can find affordable housing to live in. The right solution is to provide a low tax burden so that African Americans, and all Americans, can keep the fruits of their labor as much as possible. But rather than fix the fundamental problems that all Californians face, Newsom is focusing on a non-issue that will fix nothing relative to any state residents. 

It is the rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic syndrome while having no solutions to the unfunded state government liabilities, the high housing costs, the high tax burden, the failed education system, etc., etc.,

Thus, today we see again that California is circling the drain and the state politicians have no solution to prevent the flushing, the NYC mayor continues to underestimate how valuable the NYPD is to maintaining a civil society in the city, and the political and financial corruption of the Biden family tree continues to grow and get worse and worse.
