The Disgusting and Despicable Sexual Perversion Behavior Of Politicians And Others Of Influence, Part 2

Readers of this blog know that we have never had a high opinion of most people in the American political class. We currently have a Congressman serving in Congress who once thought that the entire island of Guam could tip over. We have a Congresswoman who publicly said her home district of Houston sat 50 feet under sea level (it does not) and who thought the Constitution was 400 years old. We once had a Speaker of the House who once proclaimed that the Obama Care legislation had to be passed BEFORE we found out what was in it. We once had a President who appears to have been a sexual predator. We currently have a President who has made many derogatory comments about women.

But it seems that in the past few weeks the bad news about our leaders in both the political class and the press that covers it has exploded from a sexual harassment, sexual predator, and general sleaziness perspective. These are the people that shape our laws, report our news and impact our lives everyday but have the integrity and morals of a dead rock.

Unfortunately, we are going to review the current, sorry state of these people over the next few days, keeping the details short and not too graphic but discussing enough to likely repulse you and realize how important it is to get these people out of office, out of our lives, and implement term limits to reduce the arrogance and ignorance that pervades our political life today.

When reviewing the following instances of alleged transgressions, keep in mind that we still do live in America where you are innocent until proven guilty. Claims of sexual misconduct are not realities of sexual misconduct. However, the overall trend is not good when it comes to the integrity and morals of those in power in the government and in the press.

1) We started this series of posts off with the story of how people in Congress were quite pathetic when it comes to sexual harassment. The number of people included in that circle of perversion seems to get larger every day with the Independent Journal Review, in an article by Sam Dorman on November 21, 2017, describing the alleged sexual predator behavior of Congressman John Conyers:
  • One of the Congressman’s former staff members, who was allegedly fired for not submitting to his sexual overtones, received a financial settlement because of his behavior.
  • This is just one person of several who apparently had been harassed sexually by Conyers, according to documents obtained and written about by BuzzFeed News.
  • The article ways that not only did Conyers harass these women but he also had members of his staff fly in women that staffers felt he was having affairs with.
  • According to Mr. Dorman’s article: “Several of Conyers's staffers signed affidavits for Congress's Office of Compliance describing how, among other things, the congressman touched one woman in a sexual manner and grew angry when she was near him with her husband: "In her complaint, the former employee said Conyers repeatedly asked her for sexual favors and often asked her to join him in a hotel room. On one occasion, she alleges that Conyers asked her to work out of his room for the evening, but when she arrived the congressman started talking about his sexual desires. She alleged he then told her she needed to “touch it,” in reference to his penis, or find him a woman who would meet his sexual demands.”
  • Furthermore: “She alleged Conyers made her work nights, evenings, and holidays to keep him company. In another incident, the former employee alleged the congressman insisted she stay in his room while they traveled together for a fundraising event. When she told him that she would not stay with him, she alleged he told her to “just cuddle up with me and caress me before you go. “Rep. Conyers strongly postulated that the performing of personal service or favors would be looked upon favorably and lead to salary increases or promotions,” the former employee said in the documents. Three other staff members provided affidavits submitted to the Office Of Compliance that outlined a pattern of behavior from Conyers that included touching the woman in a sexual manner and growing angry when she brought her husband around."
Again, if these accusations are true, and since this Independent Journal Review was written, additional disgusting stories from other women have emerged relative to Conyers, keep in mind that these are the types of amoral people that write and enact the laws of our land. Pathetic.

2) But sexual misconduct and harassment by politicians is not confined to Washington. According to a recent Breitbart article written by Katherine Rodriguez on November 21, 2017:
  • California State Assemblyman Raul Bocanegra has announced he will resign his legislative seat after six women accused him of unwanted sexual advances and unwelcome sexual statements directed towards them.
  • Apparently he continued this behavior even though the state Assembly Rules Committee had previously disciplined him for the same type of sexual harassment back in 2009.
  • The article also mentions that there has been an increase in sexual harassment throughout the entire state legislature.
  • The women say he initiated “unsolicited physical contact and emailing them soliciting dates” and “He grabbed me with one hand, grabbed my head and shoved his tongue into my mouth,” one of the women, Sylvia Castillo, told the Times this month. “With his other hand, he put it up my dress. I put my hand down to stop him from trying to grab at my crotch.”
As a result of the accusations, he has decided to resign next year and not seek reelection. Given his history of such behavior and his former disciplining by his peers, you decide who is telling the truth.

3) But it is not only politicians who have shown up to be sexually perverted, but major news and press people are also just as disgusting. According to Ben Kew, writing for Breitbart on November 21, 2017, a major CBS TV newsman was recently fired for sexual harassment:
  • Long time, important CBS newsman Charlie Rose was recently fired after eight women accused him of sexual harassment.
  • According to CBS News President David Rhodes: “A short time ago we terminated Charlie Rose’s employment with CBS News, effective immediately. This followed the revelation yesterday of extremely disturbing and intolerable behavior said to have revolved around his PBS program. Despite Charlie’s important journalistic contribution to our news division, there is absolutely nothing more important, in this or any organization, than ensuring a safe, professional workplace — a supportive environment where people feel they can do their best work. We need to be such a place.”
  • Some of the women's allegations include lewd phone calls, walking around naked in their presence, and grabbing women's breasts, buttocks, and genitals.
  • This ends a 40 year career in journalism.
  • In this case, Rose made it pretty clear that these were perfectly valid accusations:“I am greatly embarrassed. I have behaved insensitively at times, and I accept responsibility for that, though I do not believe that all of these allegations are accurate.”
Keep in mind these these people in the press and in elected office have a great impact on our lives. They write and enact our laws, report on news from around the country and around the world which leads one to ask the simple question: given the amoral behavior of these people, the secrets they have kept for years and/or decades, and their overall lack of integrity and compassion, why should we believe anything they say in any facet of their lives?

More disgusting behavior still to come.
