It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.
1) There are a lot of problems facing the country and its citizens right now:
There are usually about 500,000-600,000 homeless Americans on the streets at any time.
There are millions of Americans who find putting food on their family table is many times a challenge.
Inflation is killing the budgets of low and middle income people.
Millions of Americans face their personal drug addiction problem everyday.
I could go on but you get the idea. Given those serious, serious problems, look what politicians in the state of Oregon have been working on, using up their own time and resources of the state government:
The state legislature recently passed a law that would ban the use of the word “marijuana” in any official government documents or state laws.
Their reasoning is that the word “marijuana” is racist.
According to a state politician, Melaine Morgan: “The term ‘marijuana’ itself is pejorative and racist … As recreational marijuana use became more popular, it was negatively associated with Mexican immigrants. Even though it seems simple because it’s just one word, the reality is we’re healing the wrongs that were committed against Black and Brown people around cannabis.”
Seriously, this is what politicians are working on as a priority in Oregon? This legislation will not help Black and Brown homeless people, it will not feed hungry Black and Brown people, it will not get drug addiction treatment to Black and Brown people. Insanely stupid priorities.
2) Dzhokhar Tsarnaev is the convicted bomber behind the hideous and fatal Boston marathon attack a number of years ago. He has been in prison for many years after his actions resulted in the killing and maiming of many innocent civilians.
And yet, Tsarnaev, despite being a deadly and convicted terrorist, received Covid stimulus funds while in prison. When he was convicted and thrown in jail he was also ordered to pay $101 million in restitution to the bombing survivors. Those survivors, unfortunately, never received any restitution. But the general incompetence of the American class somehow has American taxpayers paying him Covid relief funds.
Fortunately, a judge did the right thing and diverted the $1,400 into a fund for the survivors which obviously is well short of the $101 million judgment. But think about the wounds and scars that were ripped open when the survivors got wind of this insanity.
3) Speaking of drug addiction, the Washington political class, the Biden administration in particular, are doing a lousy job of protecting Americans from the evils of drug addiction. The failure of having a rational, compassionate, secure, and fair immigration policy that allows decent people to come into this country and keep the evil folks and their drugs out of the hands of Americans is a revolting failure.
Consider the recent drug seizures on the southern border:
In a recent week, the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seized $2 million in illegal drugs at the border.
The illegal drugs seized include cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana.
So far this year CPB has already seized over 84,000 pounds of meth.
A Chicago resident was caught trying to drive 31 pounds of cocaine, street value over $250,000, into the country from Mexico.
CBP intercepted another driver with $1 million worth of cocaine hidden in the car they stopped.
Other recent traffic stops seized 23 pounds of cocaine, 56 pounds of marijuana, 8 pounds of marijuana, 113 pounds of marijuana, and 14 pounds of meth.
The good news is that the CBP is doing their jobs as best they can to keep these drugs out of the country and protect Americans from drug addiction. The bad news is that this is what they intercepted, who knows many other tons of meth, grass, and cocaine are coming over the porous, unsecured borders.
4) While the Biden administration is failing miserably in providing the basic government function, protecting the lives and property of innocent citizens, the Chicago political class continues to fail to protect innocent people in that city:
Over a recent weekend, 77 Chicago residents were shot.
Five of the 77 shot died from their wounds.
Seven of those shot were under the age of 17.
Eight of the 77 were shot in a single mass shooting with one fatality.
Current mayor, Lori Lightfoot, has been in office for years and she still has no clue on how to fix the violence, failing miserably in the basic government function, protecting lives.
5)As we discussed above, millions of American citizens are homeless, hungry, and in need of drug addiction treatment. And yet, American politicians never seem to care about these folks, as recently shown out in Illinois:
The state government in Illinois is going to expand a current program that provides healthcare aid to older illegal immigrants who should not even be in this country to begin with.
The expanded coverage will include hospital visits, physical therapy, prescription drugs and other perks.
The program, which originally paid for the health care of illegal immigrants over the age of 65, will now include illegal immigrants aged 54-64.
The program will soon be expanded even further to include illegal immigrants aged 42-55.
The state agency responsible for implementing and operating the program even boasted that it was taxpayers who would be footing the cost of the health care of illegal immigrants.
According to Assistant Director Jenny Aguirre: “Immigrant families face many challenges in their lives and to know that their loved one may now have access to health care services will give families hope for a better quality of life in the state they’ve chosen as their home. Everyone deserves to have a healthier future.”
Insanity. Let hard working citizens, many of whom cannot afford health care coverage or who strain to provide coverage for their families, pay heavy taxes so that those here illegally, and likely not paying taxes, get free health care. Let's not take care of the homeless, hungry and drug addicted citizens in the state, their care can wait while we fund, with taxpayer dollars, the health care needs of illegal immigrants.
Even more insane, according to news reports, the state of Illinois is more than $166 in debt relative to current and unfunded future liabilities. Given that the number of adults living in the state is just under 10 million, every adult would have to pay almost $17,000 EACH to get the state out of its financial hole. And that assumes the current set of state politicians do not add any more debt to the existing debt number which is highly unlikely.
Thus, the state is going bankrupt, many citizens are suffering from homelessness, hunger, and drug addiction, and the state political class is going ahead to spend untold billions on the health care needs, not of its citizens and taxpayers, but illegal immigrants. Cannot get much more insane than that.
Talk about bad priorities: Oregon politicians wasting time on banning a word that no one outside of politics knows or thinks is racist, a Federal program giving taxpayer money to a bombing terrorist in prison, Chicago politicians that still cannot control violent crime in their city, and Illinois state politicians that care more about the health of illegal immigrants than the health and welfare of their taxpayer citizens.
