It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.
To review past posts on this insanity and idiocy, just click on the first few posts in each month listed to the right of this page. After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.
1) We have purposely avoided talking a lot about the Biden administration for one simple reason: the political insanity and failures of this administration is on a par with or worse than any previous Presidential administration in our history. The failed pullout from Afghanistan, inflation rates not seen in 40 years, gas prices having doubled in less than a year and a half, violent crime skyrocketing across the country, thousands of illegal immigrants and drugs flooding over the border, etc.
And he may be on the verge of committing the worst and possibly most fatal decision of his Presidency:
- Biden’s chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Miley, said that discussions are underway to possibly send U.S. combat troops to Ukraine.
- This is despite Biden’s public promise that no U.S. troops would be sent into worn torn Ukraine.
- Miley said troops might be sent in to protect the U.S. embassy in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv.
- Specifically, according to Miley: “Some of the things that may have been out there in the media, those are planning efforts that are underway at a relatively low level.”
- 102,000 service people in Europe, which is equivalent to taking the entire city of Clearwater, Florida’s population and sending them overseas and feeding them, clothing them, providing transportation for them, etc.
- I have no idea how to find out what it costs to have a single service person overseas with the above expenses but let’s assume it is a nice, round number of $100,000 (to cover salary, food, shelter, transportation, etc.)
- Which means that the American taxpayer is ANNUALLY paying about $10.2 billion a year to defend Europe.
- There are about 130,000 K-12 schools in this country.
- The average police officer in this country makes about $61,000 a year.
- Which means if we could somehow redistribute that $10.2 billion a year away from defending far away lands and station one police officer in every one of those 130,000 schools, we could easily protect our kids with money left over, vs. spending it thousands and thousands of miles away while many of our schools have no protection against nut cases with guns.
- Failed pullout of Afghanistan.
- Inflation rates not seen in about 40 years.
- Skyrocketing costs for gas and food.
- Failure to deter Putin from invading Ukraine.
- Baby formula crisis.
- Supply chain crisis.
- Failure to deter China from threatening Taiwan.
- Illegal immigrants and illegal drug tonnage flooding across our borders, endangering the lives of every American.
- All types of crime are skyrocketing across American cities., especially those that foolishly and inanely defunded their police forces.
- His approval rating has cratered faster than any President in recent history.
- He snapped at CBS’ Erin Barnett when asked if he was going to take a cognitive test back in 2020: “No, I haven’t taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test? Come on, man. That’s like saying to you, before you got on this program if you had taken a test were you taking cocaine or not. What do you think, huh? Are you a junkie?”
- He jumped on Kaitlin Collins when she questioned him about Putin: “I’m not confident,” Biden said as he turned around and raised his voice. “What the hell, what do you do all the time? When did I say I was confident? What I said was … what will change their behavior is if the rest of the world reacts to them and it diminishes their standing in the world.”
- He called Fox News reporter, Peter Doocy, a “stupid son of a b****” and he called another Fox news reporter “stupid.”
- He went after RealClearNews’ Phillip Wegman for his “interesting reading of English” and accused the reporter of misrepresenting something he said.
- According to DC police, 79 people have already been murdered in Washington as of the end of May.
- 45 of those murders remain unsolved with no arrests.
- The 79 murders are six higher than the 73 that occurred in the same time frame in 2021, a year when the annual number of murders hit an 18 year high of 226.
- Thus, 2022’s murder rate in the Capital is on track to beat last year’s high number.
- As recently as 2017, the number of annual murders was 116 which means this year the rate will likely exceed the 116 in 2017 way before the end of the second quarter.
- In fact, in 2012 there were only 88 murders committed the entire year which means that this year’s year-to-date total might have already exceeded the annual number 10 years ago.
