There is a lot going on in the world: Obama and Russiagate findings, Middle East powder keg, the Russian/Ukrainian war, Federal government shutdown, etc. But through all this, the American political class continues to constantly deliver its own special brand of insanity, stupidity, wasteful taxpayer spending, and ineffective government programs.
1)It is pretty obvious that the Mexican drug cartels are some of the most dangerous people in the world. They have gotten wealthy selling illegal drugs around the world which has given access to weapons, technology, and politicians. With Biden's failed border policies, the flood of illegal drugs, especially fentanyl, has flooded into the country and the rewards of selling massive amounts of drugs has flooded back to the cartels.
But a recent finding in Mexico gives credence to the theory and reality that the cartels have gotten even more powerful, fueled by Biden's leaky border policies:
In a recent police raid in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, law enforcement officers found an interesting cartel vehicle.
They found a Ford 450 pickup truck that had steel plates welded to its sides.
Inside the found vehicle was a powerful 50 caliber machine gun and two ammunition belts ready to be fired.
A 50 caliber gun can bring down aircraft penetrate police armored vehicles, and bring mass destruction to other cartels.
The raid that found the truck also seized over 400,000 marijuana plants.
Apparently the police have found 45 other cartel vehicles that had been reinforced with armor and that three shops were uncovered that manufactured the steel plates.
Other news reports reported that the cartels are also using armed drones to attack their competitors and others.
You can hardly say the war on drugs and the country’s border security actions that American politicians have been working at for decades are anywhere near an end or a success. Not when very bad people relatively close to our borders have armored vehicles and attack drones.
2)We have often made the case that politicians care more about themselves, their careers, and their self enrichment rather than the welfare and lives of the Americans they are supposed to be serving. This callousness was recently exhibited by a current member of Congress:
Jasmine Crockett is a Texas member of Congress.
Kayla Hamilton was a 20 year old American citizen that was raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant who was a member of the notorious MS-13 Central American criminal gang.
Proposed legislation in Congress to crack down on illegal immigrant crimes was tentatively named after the tragic and unnecessary murder of Kayla Hamilton.
In a public outburst, Crockett referred to the proposed legislation being named after a “random dead person.”
Yes, an innocent American is raped and murdered by an illegal immigrant and a member of Congress thinks that this is a random dead person.
I bet that Kayla’s family and parents do not think that their daughter was a “random dead person.”
Her exact words: “You take a situation and then you exploit…a random dead person.”
The sponsor of the legislation, Congressman Russell Fry properly and accurately called Crokett’s disgusting comment as "disgusting rhetoric” and “shameful behavior.”
Another day and another disgusting statement from a disgusting member of the American political class.
3)Joe Biden’s failures were wide ranging and epic:
His failed illegal immigration policies allowed some very bad people to enter the country and do some very bad things to American lives.
He added trillions and trillions of dollars to the national debt.
His economic policies raised the inflation rate to heights not seen in over 40 years.
Food prices on average rose over 20% during his tenure, causing food access and affordability problems for millions of Americans.
He had absolutely no diplomatic victories.
His withdrawal plan from Afghanistan was a disaster that resulted in the unnecessary deaths of 13 armed services people.
He then disrespected their lives and deaths more than once.
He called tens of millions of Americans “garbage” simply because those folks were Trump supporters.
He lied dozens and dozens of times that we documented in previous posts.
He made various racist comments.
A terrible, terrible Presidential tenure. But anyone with a grain of common sense and observation could see that from Day One of his term he was in significant mental decline, be it dementia or some other affliction. And recent disclosures prove how out of touch he was:
Despite this, Democrats and their friends in the mainstream media insisted for four years that Biden was “sharp as a tack” and that anyone saying differently were simply “cheap fakes.”
But recently uncovered documents in the National Archives show that maybe he was not as sharp as a tack.
Apparently all of his public appearances were severely planned out and basically choreographed so that he would not display his cognitive decline.
Fox News found so-called “palm cards” that were small cards his staff had to prepare for him to cover up his memory decline, as a symptom of his overall cognitive decline.
The cards included names, photographs and basic identifiers of long time friends and political allies, they were not for strangers or casual acquaintances.
These long term friends included Hilalry Clinton and Chuck Schumer, people Biden had known and interacted with for decades, i.e. he was having trouble recognizing important people in his life.
Another card contained press questions from an ABC news reporter that obviously would make Biden look sharper than he was when the question was asked in public, i.e. he had the question and answer ahead of time.
Scary that the President was so out of touch with reality, that he needed cheat sheets to get through life when in the public eye. All of which raises the question: who actually was running the country for four years if Biden’s staff worried more about making him look good in public than doing what was right for the country because it becomes more and more obvious that Biden had no clue.
4)Black Lives Matter (BLM) rose up a number of years ago with the theoretical goal of helping the black communities across the country. That noble goal has never been close to being achieved as millions and millions of dollars poured into the Black Lives Matter coffers but no tangible improvements in the lives of black Americans appear to have happened as a result.
In fact, we have previously discussed the reality that BLM dollars were allegedly misused, misappropriated, and stolen and that BLM leaders were found to allegedly be guilty of using the organization for personal gain and pleasure. Another recent scandal extends the alleged corruption:
Faith Shields-Dixon is a BLM activist from Fargo, North Dakota.
She recently agreed to a plea deal involving her misuse of taxpayer funds that were supposed to go to her nonprofit organization.
She pleaded guilty to three out of five felony theft charges.
She was accused of taking $350,000 in grant money that was supposed to go to her Faith4Hope Scholarship Fund.
In theory, this program was supposed to support low income black families.
$124,000 of the funds were funneled to businesses operated by her family members.
Her husband is also in legal trouble, facing a felony trial beginning in November.
Just another example of corruption in an organization that had a noble goal, and a not so noble history of misusing funds for personal enrichment purposes. The black lives that were supposed to be helped never got any benefit from the millions and millions of dollars that flowed to the BLM coffers.
Enough insanity for today: BLM corruption, more proof that Biden was never really President, Jasmine Crockett continues to disgust and disrespect others, and the cartels are arming up with the windfall profits from Biden’s failed immigration policies.
