The Failing Biden Presidency - Part 9

This is the ninth in a series of posts that document the idiocy and total failure of the Biden Presidency so far. After being in the Oval Office for a few months, the world is in much worse shape both domestically and internationally due to the failed and idiotic leadership and actions of Joe Biden. His approval ratings are sinking faster than the increase in violence and price inflation that he has caused to happen. Today’s discussion does not provide any hope that things will improve under his leadership anytime soon.

1) While it is quite clear that the American political class has gotten the country into bad situations so many times because of the ineptness, the greed, and lack of brain power of most politicians, we have also made the case many times that the mainstream media in this country today is also a threat to our freedom, democracy and well being. Rather than maintain high journalistic standards of fairness, being unbiased in their reporting, and seeking out the truth regardless of where it leads, today's journalists, for the most part, are beholden to pre-established positions on issues that bias and taint their reporting of reality.

And when you cross biased reporting with inept politicians and their actions and Joe Biden you get the following disgrace from a news reporting, incompetent political policy, and humanitarian crisis perspective:

• As you know, when Biden was elected he encouraged people form South and Central America to illegally enter this country at our southern border with Mexico.
• This has resulted in a flood of would be illegal immigrants which has overwhelmed our border security resources.
• When this happened, to a lesser degree under Trump, the mainstream media was all over the case, visiting the border, visiting border facilities, and reporting how terrible the situation was, a lot of their outrage driven not by the situation on the ground but by their hatred of Trump, who, by the way, relatively quickly got the situation under control, securing the border, reducing the humanitarian suffering, and in the process protecting Americans from drug cartels, terrorists and human trafficking gangs when he was in office.
• Biden unraveled all of that but the mainstream media has been reluctant and shown little interest in giving the Biden border crisis the same coverage it gave the Trump border crisis.
• It took investigative reporting by the BBC, a non-U.S. media outlet, to actually report on how bad the border crisis is and it is bad.
• The BBC report found that illegal immigrant kids are being exposed to disease, dangerous food, and sexual abuse after being taken into custody at the border, a situation that you would think that the U.S. mainstream media should take as important news.
• Under the Biden administration, the BBC says that kids are facing “heartbreaking” living conditions.
• BBC interviews of immigration staff and the kids themselves uncovered allegations of sexual abuse, COVID-19 cases, other diseases, lice outbreaks, lack of medical treatment, lack of clean clothes, and bad and under cooked food that made the kids sick.
• The reporting was primarily based on a 2,000 kid tent facility in El Paso, Texas.
• Biden administration spokespeople denied things were that bad saying that they were “providing required standards of care for children such as clean and comfortable sleeping quarters, meals, toiletries, laundry, educational and recreational activities, and access to medical services.”
• Even worse, there are reports of sexual abuse by some of the kids by staff members.
• One staff member told the BBC reporters that, “DHS mentioned there was a rape – they are giving the girls pregnancy tests. And I heard the other night that another contractor was caught in a boys’ tent, you know, doing things with him.”
• All of this abuse has resulted in severe depression affecting many of the kids.

Failure on so many fronts. Biden’s failure to maintain order on the border, encouraging people to come into the country illegally and then having their kids face these horrid experiences. The failure of the U.S. journalistic establishment to report on such horrid conditions. The failure of Kamala Harris to promptly visit and see for herself how bad conditions are, visiting the border almost three months after being given the assignment to fix what Biden has broken, visiting the border only as a public relations action to counteract Trump’s border visit. People are dying, people are suffering and this is all on Biden who took an under control border situation and let it get fatally out of hand.

2) Theoretically, Joe Biden got far more votes than any other President ever, over 80 million votes. This was tens of millions of more votes than the ever popular Barack Obama got in his first Presidential run. I say theoretical since given the voting situations and fraud we have previously discussed, Biden’s 80+ million vote total is in all likelihood totally bogus and the result of widespread voter and criminal fraud.

This position is probably backed up by the latest approval ratings that have come in relative to his performance. If he truly did get 80+ million votes, if he truly was more beloved as a incoming President than Obama, then the following numbers would probably not be possible:

• Just five months into his term, Biden's approval rating has already fallen below 50%.
• That was the finding in the latest Monmouth University opinion poll.
• His current approval rating is 48% approve while 43% disapprove.
• This is down significantly from just the previous month’s results that showed him at 54% approval and 41% disapproval.
• Only one in three Independent voters approve of his performance and less than one fifth of Republican voters approve of his performance.
• Only 59% of Democratic voters in the poll think the country is moving in the right direction, not very high if Biden did indeed get 80+ million votes late last year.
• And that trend with Democrats is not good since one month the number of Democrats who think the country is on the wrong track rose 20 percentage points, going from 12% to 32% in one month.
• Almost half of all of those polled voiced concern that Biden’s economic policies are going to lead to high inflation.
• Only 19% of those polled believe that the middle-class has benefited from Biden’s actions, 32% say they have benefited little, and a whopping 36% say they have not benefited at all.
• These numbers are far worse than what people said when he took office in January.
• These findings are consistent with a recent CNBC report that stated Americans’ fear of inflation is at an all time high.

With his approval rating sinking fast, with no plan to contain inflation, with violence escalating across the country and across the world, with his erratic and dementia-like behaviors, and with an inept Vice President, it is hard to see how his downward trending approval ratings will reverse itself anytime soon, an indication that the country and its citizens are in for a very bumpy ride ahead.

3) It is not just Independent voters and Republican voters that are down on Biden:

• First off, keep in mind, if you had not already heard, that Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son, is now fancying himself as a painter and is selling his paintings to interested buyers.
• Understand that before recent times he has shown no interest or talent for painting.
• The concern is that foreign agents and governments and lobbyists will buy his paintings at outrageous prices as a way of getting favors from his father, Joe Biden.
• Walter Shaub was the former Office of Government Ethics director under Obama.
• As an experienced ethics government employee, he says Hunter Biden’s painting jag has a “shameful and grifty feeling to it.”
• Specifically, “The notion of a president’s son capitalizing on that relationship by selling art at obviously inflated prices and keeping the public in the dark about who’s funneling money to him has a shameful and grifty feel to it.”
• And given that most of the purchasers will remain anonymous, the potential for scandal and corruption is that much higher.
• Shaub wants Biden and his art dealer to disclose the identity of any buyers so that it can be shown if and when these “art” purchasers ever looked for insider advantages from the Biden administration.
• And finally, Shaub concludes with a refreshing touch of honesty and integrity: “But I also think it’s ridiculous that Hunter Biden is even going forward with this sale as a first-time artist. He can’t possibly think anyone is paying him based on the quality of the art. This smells like an attempt to cash in on a family connection to the White House.”

But we should not be surprised. Hunter Biden has been leveraging his famous father for years, from Busima in the Ukraine to Russia to Chinese Communist backed companies, Hunter Biden has shown no regrets in his quest for fortune and riches at the expense of his father’s name and position. Disgraceful.

So what did Biden’s Presidency bring to us today: suffering kids at the border because of his failed border policies, rapidly dropping approval numbers, and the continued corruption and unethical activities of his family members.

By The Numbers: The Disgusting, Despicable, and Heartless Actions of Nancy Pelosi In Light of The Corona Virus Crisis

On a periodic basis we do some posts that fall under the theme of “by the numbers.” Rather than trust what the American political tells us about reality, we like to examine the real numbers and the real reality in the world to understand what is actually going on. Relying on politicians, and their cohorts in the media, to tell us what is reality is always a sucker bet. They have their own agendas and goals, usually centering around their needs and self-enrichment. So we need to look at the reality of the numbers to determine what is really going on.

This is the third and final post this month where we look at the numbers to truly find out how good, not likely, or bad, most likely, the American political class is doing in managing our tax dollars, protecting our freedoms, and resolving major issues that affect all of us. 

Today’s discussion focuses only on the recent economic stimulus bill that Washington passed in light of the devastating economic impact the corona virus has had on the country and its workers. The sole purpose and only priority of the legislation should have been cut and dried: provide immediate economic assistance to distressed American workers. That should have been the extent of the legislation.

But Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, decided she wanted to load up the legislation with totally unnecessary and stupid expenditures, most of which satisfy her donors and political friends. As a result, the country will not only be wasting billions and billions of dollars on stupid stuff that the government should have no need to support but it also delayed the provisioning of economic relief to American workers. 

In other words, Pelosi again cared more about politics and herself than the people she is supposed to be serving. American citizens. I find her actions despicable, heartless, and evil.

One of the most disgusting parts of the legislation that she held captive until she got what she wanted was the spending of $10.8 billion for some efforts serving Africa, not America. This $10.8 billion was divided up as follows:

• The African Development Fund will get $.5 billion of American taxpayer funding.
• The African Development Bank will get $7.3 billion of American taxpayer funding.
• The International Development Association will get $3.0 billion of American taxpayer funding.

These organizations have traditionally been set up to help relieve poverty in Africa, they have nothing to do with the corona virus economic fall out here in this country.

So when millions of Americans have been thrown out of their jobs because of nothing they did, when thousands and thousands of Americans are sick and suffering because of nothing they did, when medical supplies such as hospital gowns, masks and ventilators are making health care workers jobs more dangerous and more frustrating, Pelosi is giving away $10.8 billion to faraway land AND delayed the providing of assistance to those here in this country.

Let’s look at the numbers and see how much good that $10.8 billions could do for suffering Americans vs. some likely bureaucratic, inefficient and likely mostly useless government bureaucracies halfway around the world:

• According to the Feeding America charity, on average, it costs charities about $2.94 to provide a nutritious meal to a needy American. Given that there are about half a million homeless Americans in the country on any given day, this $10.8 billion could have provided three meals a day to every one of those 500,000 homeless Americans for over six years.
• According to the government’s Drug Abuse website, it costs, on average, about $6,522 a year to treat a drug addict’s addiction. This $10.8 billion could have provided relief to over 330,000 drug addicted Americans for five years, probably saving tens of thousands of American lives in the process.
• According to my research, it looks like it costs about $40,000 on average to purchase a hospital ventilator, critical piece of equipment in the fight against the corona virus. This $10.8 billion could have funded the purchase of 270,000 ventilators that obviously would also save untold thousands of lives of those suffering from the virus.
• According to current Obama Care average costs, this $10.8 billion could have provided a year of Obama Care Bronze health insurance to almost three million American households.
• This $10.8 billion could have increased the size of relief checks for lower income Americans, those earning less than $30,000 a year, by over $200.

You get the idea. In a time of crisis, Pelosi decided to not fund the feeding of homeless Americans, not treat drug addicted Americans, not fund the purchase of life saving medical equipment for sick Americans, not provide health insurance for uncovered American families and not provide additional relief funding for lower income Americans.

Rather, she insisted and held captive the economic relief that was needed for millions of Americans to send $10.8 billion overseas. And I wouldn't be surprised that if you scratched underneath the surface of this funding you would find that much of this funding is to the benefit of Democratic donors, friends, and family members, ala Busima in the Ukraine.

The numbers don't lie and they tell the story, again, of how Pelosi’s actions and priorities rarely match up with the needs, priorities, and desires of the American people. Her delaying and childish behavior resulted in untold pain, both financially and health wise, on millions of Americans and for this and the story the numbers tell, her actions are disgusting.

March, 2020, Part 1, Political Class Insanity: Political Corruption In Massachusetts, Biden Under Investigation, and Biden's Alternative Reality

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) Political corruption does not just exist with Washington politicians. It can find its way down to state and local politicians also. Consider a recent report from the Federalist Papers:

• Former Massachusetts state senator, Brian Joyce, was recently arrested and charged with using his political office as a “criminal enterprise.”
• He was arrested under a 113 county Federal indictment.
• He was accused of taking over $1 million in bribes and kickbacks when in office and abusing that office of public trust.
• He was also charged with racketeering, extortion, fraud, money laundering and conspiracy to defraud the IRS.
• He was arrested by the FBI after a two year investigation.
• According to the FBI, he used his law practice by, ““falsely characterizing the bribe and kickback payments as legal referral fees,” and that he lied to the state Ethics Commission about the payments.”

Now, as always, he is innocent until proven guilty. But seriously, 113 counts and a two year Federal investigation does not make it look good for possibly yet another politician who sees public office as a personal enrichment opportunity rather than a way to serve the voters with integrity.

2) According to a recent article on the National Insiders website, Joe Biden is now under serious investigation by the Ukrainian government:

• The investigation is looking into if Biden had pressured Ukrainian officials to drop an investigation of Hunter Biden and forced the resignation of Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.
• This is related to the fact that Biden’s son, Hunter, had received over $3 million form the country’s natural gas company, Burisma Holdings, while Joe Biden was overseeing a U.S. effort to address Ukrainian corruption and despite the reality that his son had absolutely NO energy experience or background.
• The charge against Biden is that he interfered with the work of an official of a Ukrainian law enforcement agency.
• Apparently, Biden is a suspect in three different criminal offenses.
• According to the article, “Judging by remarks Biden allowed himself to make in public, Viktor Mykolayovych Shokin has sufficient grounds to believe that it was [Biden] who masterminded and, to a certain extent, perpetrated those criminal offenses to which Shokin alerted the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine,” the lawyer said.”
• Even more crazy is that Greek law enforcement sources are looking into the mercury poison of Shokin in 2019 to see if that has a Biden connection.

Again, innocent until proven guilty. But the problem Biden has is that he has publicly bragged on video that he actually did intervene to get Shokin fired, a ready made confession.

3) Biden has always been a human gaffe machine, possibly only outdone by Nancy Pelosi or Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez when it comes to saying, stupid, inane, or just plain wrong statements. For example, he confidently stated a number of months ago that he was Vice President when the horrific Parkland School shooting happened in Florida. The sad thing was that he was NOT Vice president when that shooting happened. He more recently said he was arrested in South Africa when he went to see Nelson Mandela even though there is absolutely no record of that ever happening.

And he was recently at it again, completely wrong when it comes to his previous work in government:

• He recently told a crowd in South Carolina that he was instrumental in getting a climate deal done with the Chinese Premier.
• Unfortunately, the Premier he thought he got the deal done with had passed away 23 years earlier, before the climate deal was signed.
• Specifically, “I’m the guy that came back after meeting with Deng Xiaoping and making the case that I believe China would join if we put pressure on them.” 
• But Biden was Obama’s President from 2009 until 2017 during which the Paris Climate Agreement was developed towards the end of the Obama Presidency/
• But Deng who had died over a decade before Obama and Biden took office.
• Trump's reelection campaign explained this impossibility: “Joe Biden claimed tonight that he worked with Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping on the Paris Climate Accord. Except the current Chinese President is Xi Jinping. Deng Xiapoing left office in 1992 and has been dead for 23 years,” they mocked.

One really has to question the man's sense of reality when he constantly forgets where he is, who he dealt with, and many other delusions of reality. And he wants to be President of the United States.

4) Let’s stay with Biden and his incoherent ramblings. In a recent dinner with South Carolina Democrats, he made this incoherent assertion: “Where I come from, you don’t get far unless you ask. My name’s Joe Biden. I’m a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate. Look me over. If you like what you see, help out. If not, vote for the other Biden.” 

Sadly, he is a Democratic candidate for the Presidency, not a Senate seat. He has been running for President for the past year or so and yet he says he is running for the Senate. Wow.

That will do it for the beginning of this month’s insanity: Biden lives in a world with a different color sky and different reality than the rest of us, he is under investigation for corruption in the Ukraine, and political corruption in Massachusetts. More insanity to follow.

November, 2019, Part 9, Political Class Insanity: Tlaib May Have Broken The Law, The Bidens and Kerrys Are Knee Deep in the Ukraine Muck, and Elizabeth Warren Goes All Stupid

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) Rashida Tlaib is a freshman Congresswoman from Michigan. She has made quite a name for herself in a short time by being vehemently anti-Israel, calling Trump a Motherf****, spouting socialistic ideals, and generally being crude and rude. And she now be in deep trouble for abusing campaign finance laws:

• According to Ryan Saavedra, writing for the Daily Wire website, she may have asked for campaign money for use for her personal expenses.
• As a result of messages that have surfaced from her, the House Ethics Committee has launched an investigation.
• These messages including asking her campaign manager for the use of campaign money which could be a criminal violation of campaign finance laws.
• The Office of Congressional Ethics alleges: “Rep. Tlaib’s campaign committee, Rashida Tlaib for Congress, reported campaign disbursements that may not be legitimate and verifiable campaign expenditures attributable to bona fide campaign or political purposes. If Rep. Tlaib converted campaign funds from Rashida Tlaib for Congress to personal use, or if Rep. Tlaib’s campaign committee expended funds that were not attributable to bona fide campaign or political purposes, then Rep. Tlaib may have violated House rules, standards of conduct, and federal law….“because there is substantial reason to believe that Rep. Tlaib converted campaign funds from Rashida Tlaib for Congress to personal use or Rep. Tlaib’s campaign committee expended funds that were not attributable to bona fide campaign or political purposes.”
• Keep in mind that Democrats control the House so Tlaib cannot claim that Republican racists are out to get her as she is wont to do
• Text and emails show that Tlaib was frantic to get financial support from members of her staff and from her campaign and there were copies found of checks made out to her from her campaign.
• The campaign checks totaled thousands of dollars.
• In her own words, requesting money from her campaign coffers: “I am just not going to make it through the campaign without a stipend. With the loss of a second income to lean back on, I am requesting $2,000 per two weeks but not exceeding $12,000. The cost of living stipend is going towards much needed expenses due to campaigning that includes car maintenance, child care and other necessities.”

The case for unethical behavior seems pretty strong and again, the House is controlled by Democrats, those of the same political party as her. The good news is that she may have gotten caught illegally getting rich, as it is alleged. The bad news is that while she got caught, there are probably hundreds of other politicians who did not get caught.

2) Following up on that previous comment, it appears that Ms Tlaib may not be the only political operatives dealing in corruption:

• Documents recently released from the Ukranian General Prosecutor’s office show that complicated money transfers from foreign sources went into a slush fund that was controlled by Devon Archer, John Kerry, Sr., John Kerry, Jr. and Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son.
• The Latvian Department of Financial Monitoring tracked many of these financial shenanigans that involved the Urkanian energy company, Busima. 
• Recall that Burisma appointed Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, to its board of directors even though he was a foreign national and had no experience in the energy industry.
• Burisma also has strong ties to David Leiter, John Kerry’s former Senate chief of staff.
• As Time Magazine reports: “Leiter’s involvement in the firm rounds out a power-packed team of politically-connected Americans that also includes a second new board member, Devon Archer, a Democratic bundler and former adviser to John Kerry’s 2004 presidential campaign. Both Archer and Hunter Biden have worked as business partners with Kerry’s son-in-law, Christopher Heinz, the founding partner of Rosemont Capital, a private-equity company.”

Seems like a lot of Democrats have a lot of explaining to do relative to the Ukraine and yet, House Democrats remain focused Trump and stuff he never did relative to the Ukraine.

3) We have often covered the reality of how politicians often say the darndest, and most stupid things. But Democratic candidate for President Elizabeth Warren may have recently said one of the dumbest things to ever come out of a politician’s mouth. 

The liberal organization group Black Womxn For (which bills itself as “focused on creating intentional meeting spaces for Black Trans Women, Cis women and gender-nonconforming community leaders and activists to talk with each other about the Democratic primary and our impact on 2020 elections”) endorsed Warren for President: “There is one leader who has shown, through action, deed, and word, that a future of economic prosperity, racial justice, gender justice, and social and political equity is possible. She is a partner with a deep understanding of how racism and gender discrimination don't just compound income inequality but are actually central to maintaining the status quo.” 

It’s a free country and this group certainly has the right to endorse and support any candidate that they want. But it was Warren’s response that was so nonsensical: “Thank you, @BlackWomxnFor! Black trans and cis women, gender-nonconforming, and nonbinary people are the backbone of our democracy and I don’t take this endorsement lightly. I'm committed to fighting alongside you for the big, structural change our country needs.”

So a group of people that represent an infinitesimally small portion of the Americans in this country are “the backbone of our democracy?” I guess that means that the following people are NOT the backbone of this country:

• Our armed forces that protect the country and our democracy are not the backbone of our country.
• Our police officers who protect us every day are not the backbone of this country.
• People who go to work and pay taxes everyday are not the backbone of this country.
• Teachers who educate our kids to be productive members of society are not the backbone of this country.

Talk about pandering. Twitter user Quadratus summed up this nonsense quite nicely: “No - the backbone of our society are all those who get up each day and work, pay their taxes, take care of their families, and in their exhaustion at night wonder how irrational leaders like you [Warren] can possibly believe you can lead us to anything but emotional hysteria and anarchy.”

There you have today’s insanity: A Congresswoman who allegedly used campaign finance funds for her personal use, Ukrainian corruption that does not involve Trump but involves making political operatives and their sons rich, and just an insane comment from an out of touch politician which insulted most of America.
