March, 2017, Part 3, The Unfolding Disaster That Is Obama Care: Vox Asks The Wrong Question, Obama Care Trolls and More

Every month for years now we have had to discuss how bad Obama Care is turning out to be under the continuing theme, “the unfolding disaster that is Obama Care.” This month is no different. As the legislation continues to march through America, driving up health care and health insurance prices as it serves as dead weight on economic growth, it cements its rightful place as the worst piece of legislation Washington has ever produced.

It never had a chance to be successful since it really never addressed the underlying root causes of our ever increasing health costs in the country:

  • Americans eat too much of the wrong kind of food, resulting in obscenely high obesity rates for the country.
  • Our food chain is infested with overdoses of high fructose corn syrup, salt, and other unhealthy additives.
  • Americans smoke too much.
  • Americans do not exercise enough.
  • The country is in serious need of health care tort reform.
  • Barriers to insurance company competition across state lines need to come down.
  • Obama Care never “followed the money”to find out who is actually profiting from the ever escalating healthcare costs in this country and how to get those factors under control.
  • Obama Care never got the immense amount of fraud and abuse in current government healthcare programs, Medicare and Medicaid, under control in order to save money to efficiently fund other government health care initiatives.
  • Obama Care never put serious research money towards curing the major diseases that drive high healthcare costs such as high frequency cancers and dementia type diseases.
You cannot resolve any problem unless you understand and address the underlying root causes. No difference here: Obama Care legislation never addressed these listed root causes and thus, has no chance of ever being successful.

But it is not just missing the root causes of our healthcare costs that makes Obama Care so horrible. It resulted in millions of Americans losing access to their favored doctors, hospitals, and insurance policies. It has caused insurance premiums, deductibles and co-pays to escalate substantially. It will likely add trillions of dollars to the national debt. It has exposed millions of Americans to higher than necessary identity theft chances. It has created government bureaucracies that are wastefully spending taxpayer wealth and being exploited by criminal elements. It has stifled economic growth and job creation.

These are just a sample of the types of idiocy that we have been reviewing for the past several years in this blog relative to Obama Care., To read those past posts, just enter the phrase, “the unfolding disaster,” in the search box above.

1) The liberal, leftist news site, Vox, recently asked its readers to submit success stories related to Obama Care. Vox, along with its head honcho Ezra klein, has been a big fan of Obama Care in the face of overwhelming evidence that this is the worst piece of legislation ever passed by Washington and the disasters it has caused or made worse: ever rising premium and deductible costs, depressed economic growth, higher taxes, doctor shortages, millions of Americans losing access to their preferred doctors, hospitals, and current insurance policies, increasing identity theft via Obama Care data systems, increases to the national debt, etc.

But undeterred, Vox tried to find positive testimonials on how great Obama Care was. And that idea fell flat on its face when it was overwhelmed with negative stories of how Obama Care ruined or negatively changed their lives, with some of their stories and comments listed below:

  • Cost of my insurance skyrocketed, so I registered Republican and voted for Trump.
  • lost my doctor & plan. My Aunt's plan is up 48% and she needs the insurance because of her kidney prob. Family can't afford it!
  • the hospital I work for is freezing raises because insufficient reimbursement for services rendered. The ACA needs to go.
  • My son's business/employment closed and he was unable to find a full time job because NO business would allow over 30 hrs/ week.
  • my insurance policy went from $998/yr to over $1240/yr or over $14K/yr. I could buy a new car every year for that much $$
  • Due to unaffordable #Obamacare premiums I'm selling my house next month & moving in with family. It's destroyed my dreams.

Keep in mind that people reading the Vox website, and who likely responded to the Vox Obama Care story request, are likely liberals and Democrats who probably had high opinions of Obama.

Thus, if Democrats and liberals are so down on Obama Care you can imagine how down the rest of the country is on it. Which brings up that old adage: never ask a question that you may not want the answer to. Vox, the place that loves Obama and loves Obama Care, found out this truth the hard way.

2) Sam Dorman, writing for the Associated Press, in an article that appeared on the Political Insider website on February 27, 2017, reported that: “Obamacare may have received a massive amount of support on social media because many of its online defenders were paid professionals, according to digital expert Matthew Brown:”

  • In an interview with journalist, Sharyl Attkisson (one of the few journalists that I believe has any integrity based on her prior history of standing up for the truth in the face of Obama administration opposition), Brown reviewed the leaked government emails that discussed “"creating an army of fake social media profiles" and using "tricks to add a level of realness to all fictitious personas."
  • Brown did a statistical sampling of over 200,000 Facebook postings, all of which defended Obama Care.He found that 60% of those 200,000 Facebook posts, 120,000, came from just 100 profiles, leading him to believe that those Facebook “users” were being paid to post supporting comments for Obama Care.
  • Brown called these fake posters, "Digital activists are paid employees; their purpose is to attack anyone who's posting something contrary to the view of the page owner wants expressed."
So it looks like Obama Care supporters and/or the Obama administration were using “fake news” tactics via fake social media posts and attacks before the term “fake news” came into being. Which is sad since if you cannot pass legislation that can stand on its own merits and you need to construct an elaborate spying machine online to combat the realities and disasters of that legislation, then maybe that legislation really does stink.

3) We have often pointed out that while the Obama Care legislation was a couple of thousands pages long, the resulting government regulations that came out of it were many, many times more, adding to a government regulation overload that is overwhelming many industries including medicine and health care. The Charles Hughes Smith blog recently published a chart from the Physicians For A National Health program that showed how those usually unnecessary and burdensome regulations were negatively affecting the health care industry:

The blog draws the following common sense conclusion: “Add layer after layer after layer of new complex regulations to the practice of medicine, and soon enough you need millions of paper-pushing employees to monitor compliance, enforce compliance, pursue administrative and criminal charges of non-compliance, file claims and counterclaims, defend the innocent from false accusations, write hundreds of pages of new regulations, and so on….But the system is now so onerous and out of control that the practice of medicine now requires far more attorneys and compliance-regulatory-paper-pushers than it does doctors and nurses.”

And the more time, money and resources spent on government regulations compliance and paperwork means less resources spent on actual health care which creates doctor and nurse shortages (supply) which in the world of economic drives up prices and costs to handle the demand for healthcare services. And Obama Care was the king when it comes to regulations overload.

4) Terresa Monroe-Hamilton, writing for the I Have The Truth website on February 15, 2017, did report on some good news as it relates to Obama Care, something that we very rarely have the honor or stating. Under the Obama administration, the IRS would refuse to accept your Federal income tax return unless you reported on it which health insurance coverage you had the previous year, if any. This is important since the Obama Care legislation required to you carry and pay for health insurance or pay an ever escalating Federal government fine.

Under the previous rules, the IRS would not even accept your return if that information was not on the return, causing you to deal with the IRS prior to fulfilling your legal obligation to file your tax return. This delay, besides being stressful, opened you up to additional IRS sanctions and fines since it could cause you to miss the legal filing deadline.

According to Ms. Monroe-Hamilton: “The Obamacare mandate required that Americans either be covered by health insurance or they had to pay a tax penalty. Well, the IRS quietly altered their rules this month for the submission of tax forms, making reporting of health insurance coverage “optional.” They still say they may follow up if you don’t check that little box, but they don’t say what would trigger that. I sincerely doubt they will ever bother tracking down people over it. Which means the Obamacare mandate is pretty much dead at least at the IRS. Glory freaking hallelujah! The IRS will no longer reject your tax forms if you don’t fill out that portion that indicates whether or not you have health insurance...Now the mandatory disclosure is voluntary and that will be a relief to millions of Americans. Returns that no longer state whether you have coverage or not, will not be automatically rejected by the IRS now.”

The IRS confirms the reporting: “Processing silent returns means that taxpayer returns are not systematically rejected, allowing them to be processed and minimizing burden on taxpayers, including those expecting a refund.”

This is great news on two fronts. It obviously makes filing taxes less stressful, less dangerous from a legal perspective, and easier. But in the bigger picture, it is another hole in the wall of Obama Care whose mandatory insurance tenet and the resulting fine if you did not get health insurance was critical to the hoped for success of the entire legislation. Removing that requirement to some degree is welcome news for freedom and for those that want the Obama Care death spiral to continue.

Tomorrow we will wrap up this month's review of Obama Care’s unfolding disasters by reviewing actual Americans’ horrible experiences with this bad, bad piece of legislation, experiences that humanize what havoc Obama Care has wrought on everyday Americans.

November, 2013 The Unfolding Disaster That Is Obama Care, Part 7: Chicago Tribune and Doctors Abandoning Obama Care, Sergeant Shultz In The Administration and More

This is our seventh post this month on the unfolding disaster that is Obama Care. These seven posts follow more than twenty other posts we did over the past three months trying to document, review, and quantify all of the fiascos being spawned by this legislation.

We will finish up this month’s review over the next 2-3 days. Not because there is nothing else to talk about. On the contrary, the bad news grows every day as more glitches, failures, and lies are uncovered. We are just getting tired and depressed of the whole topic.

It is a failure. The administration lied. It is causing millions of Americans to lose access to their preferred insurance policies and doctors. The administration lied some more. The website for signups was designed as if a bunch of chimps did the programming. The administration continued to lie. The estimated cost of the whole effort has doubled in just three years. They lied again. The logic of the whole effort will not rein in skyrocketing health care costs; if anything, it will cause them to rise quicker. They continue to lie. The legislation is depressing and suppressing economic growth. More lies. Americans are losing their jobs and having their hours cut back substantially as a result of the legislation. And yes, they continue to lie.

1) The President’s home town newspaper, the Chicago Tribune, correctly crucified the legislation and the operations of the government in mid-October:

If you’ve tried to sign up online for health coverage under the problem-plagued Obamacare exchange, our sympathies. Many people have tried to create accounts and shop for insurance under the new law. Few have succeeded. Those that have enrolled have found that the system is prone to mistakes. Some applications have been sent to the wrong insurance company.

Wait. It gets worse. Those who have managed to browse the marketplace have often been hit by sticker shock. Take Adam Weldzius, a nurse practitioner and single father from Carpentersville. He sought the same level of coverage on the exchange as he and his 7-year-old daughter have now, with the same insurer and the same network of doctors and hospitals. At best, Weldzius found, his monthly premium of $233 would more than double. If he chose a plan priced at the same level, the annual deductible would be $12,700, more than three times his current $3,500 deductible.

2) Journalist Ezra Klein, a longtime Obama supporter also recently got in on the shredding of the Obama Care effort:

So far, the Affordable Care Act’s launch has been a failure. Not “troubled.” Not “glitchy.” A failure. The Obama administration’s top job isn’t beating the Republicans. It’s running the government well. On this — the most important initiative they’ve launched — they’ve run the government badly. They deserve all the criticism they’re getting and more.

When your close friends and supporters are publicly calling your effort a failure, things must be really bad.

3) Three years and over $600 million dollars were not enough to create a relatively simple website to have people sign up for health insurance policies via Obama Care exchanges. When the system went live on October 1, 2013, it was a nightmare. The Obama administration promised that it would all be fixed and ready to go correctly by the end of November.

This was a highly doubtful and probably stupid promise to make, given that those involved could not make it work in the three years head start they had. It is doubtful they can fix it in eight weeks.

This is the view of a recent Washington Post story from November 12, 2013:

Software problems with the federal online health insurance marketplace, especially in handling high volumes, are proving so stubborn that the system is unlikely to work fully by the end of the month as the White House has promised, according to an official with knowledge of the project.

The insurance exchange is balking when more than 20,000 to 30,000 people attempt to use it at the same time — about half its intended capacity, said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to disclose internal information. And CGI Federal, the main contractor that built the site, has succeeded in repairing only about six of every 10 of the defects it has addressed so far.

Looks like another promise broken, another potential lie uncovered, at least in the view of the Post.

4) In late October, 2013, a poll conducted by the New York State Medical Society was made public. The survey invited 409 doctors to anonymously share opinions about the new health care law, and many took time out of their busy days to rip into Obama Care. The findings of the survey of the Society are quite distressing in that they point out another dangerous facet of Obama Care. Many doctors do not like the legislation, will not participate with the people who get health insurance through the exchanges, and many may retire out of disgust or economic necessity because of Obama Care.

Which raises a gruesome scenario: what happens if millions of Americans get insurance via Obama Care but there are no doctors to serve them? The scary results of the survey include the following statistics and quotes:

  • 44% of doctors survey said they will not participate in the nation’s new health-care plan.
  • Another 33% said they’re still not sure whether to become Obama Care providers.
  • Only 23% of the 409 physicians in the survey said they’re taking patients who signed up through Obama Care’s health exchanges.
  • “This is so poorly designed that a lot of doctors are afraid to participate,” said Dr. Sam Unterricht, president of the 29,000-member organization. “There’s a lot of resistance. Doctors don’t know what they’re going to get paid.”
  • About 75% of doctors who are participated in the Obama Care effort said they “had to participate” because of existing contractual obligations with an insurer or medical provider, not because they wanted to.
  • Only one in four doctors “affirmatively” chose to sign up for the exchanges.
  • 77% said they had not even been given an Obama Care fee schedule to show much they’ll get paid if they sign up.
  • “Obama Care wants to start right away, but who see all these new patients???? Not me,” e-mailed one doctor.
  • Another said, “I plan to retire if this disaster is implemented. This is a train wreck.”
  • “I refuse to participate in the exchange plans! I am completely opposed to this new law,” said a third respondent.
  • One doctor was quite blunt relative to participating in Obama Care: “The solution is simple: Just say no.”
  • One physician was so disgusted, he threatened to taken only cash patients going forward.
  • “I am seriously considering opting out of all insurance plans including Medicare because of [ObamaCare].”
  • “OBAMACARE is a disaster. I have already seen denial of medication, denial of referrals,” one doc said.
  • “Any doctor who accepts the exchange is just a bad businessman/woman. Pays terrible,” argued one doctor.
  • Said another MD, “Can’t imagine any doctors would be willing to work for so little money? All doctors should boycott.
  • “I get screwed from insurance companies already. I refuse to get screwed any longer,” one doctor said.
  • Others said they don’t have enough information to make an informed choice: “This is a joke. We are flying blind,” said one doctor.
Old medical saying: the operation was a success but the patient died. Even if Obama Care supporters and the President are able to work out all of the numerous and difficult problems with the operations of the legislation and people do indeed get health care insurance via the exchanges, what if there are only a few doctors around that will service the newly insured? The legislation was a success but the insured still died. Pitiful legislation and inability to anticipate unintended consequences.

5) Another lie and/or deception from the White House was recently reported by CNN, which up until recently was blind to anything that went wrong in the Obama administration. CNN is reporting that a month before the Obama Care website was to go live, many people in the know were warning the White House that the website was not ready to launch despite testimony from administration officials that that was not the case:
  • The Obama administration was given stark warnings just one month before launch that the federal healthcare site was not ready to go live, according to a confidential report obtained by CNN.
  • The caution, from the main contractor CGI, warned of a number of open risks and issues for the HealthCare.gov web site even as company executives were testifying publicly that the project had achieved key milestones.
  • On Capitol Hill on Monday, Medicaid Chief Marilyn Tavenner, whose job it was to oversee the October 1 rollout of the website, said she did not foresee its problems.
  • “No, we had tested the website and we were comfortable with its performance,” she said. “Now, like I said, we knew all along there would be as with any new website, some individual glitches we would have to work out. But, the volume issue and the creation of account issues was not anticipated and obviously took us by surprise. And did not show up in testing.”
  • But the CGI document, which describes “top risks currently open” and “outstanding issues currently being mitigated” says the testing timeframes are “not adequate to complete full functional, system, and integration testing activities” and lists the impact of the problems as “significant.”
  • Another element is listed as ” not enough time in schedule to conduct adequate performance testing” and given the highest priority.
  • CGI had no comment other than to confirm authenticity of the report that also gave “the highest priority” and warns “we don’t have access to monitoring tools” and “hub services are intermittently unavailable” — short for the “site’s not working sometimes.”
The week before this CNN reporting, CNN also reported that:

President Barack Obama didn’t know of problems with the Affordable Care Act’s website — despite insurance companies’ complaints and the site’s crashing during a test run — until after its now well-documented abysmal launch, the nation’s health chief told CNN on Tuesday.

So all of this garbage was going on but no one told the lady in charge of the roll out and no one told the President that his signature legislation victory was about to implode? Are we to believe that Obama and Tavenner were so out of touch with reality that they thought everything was going to be fine? Or did they suppress that information to avoid political and public embarrassment for as long as possible, not telling Americans to take cover to avoid the fallout of this fiasco?

They are either liars or ignorant, two characteristics no one wants in their leaders.

That will do it for today. Doctors saying no way to Obama Care, highly ranking administration officials either out of the loop or deceptive, a liberal press turning on the administration for its outright failures, and a likely other failure/lie when the system is still not glitch free by the promised November 30 date.

Is there any doubt that this is the worst piece of legislation ever passed by Washington by the most inept set of politicians in the history of our country?

October, 2013 Obama Care Disaster Update, Part 7: Mainstream Media Turns Ugly, State By State Disaster Tracking, And More

This is the seventh series of posts regarding the unfolding disaster that is Obama Care. We are starting to circle back on redundant problems:
  • Many, many Americans are reporting on how their health insurance rates and deductibles are going up dramatically as a result of Obama Care despite the promise from Obama that the average American family would see their annual health insurance costs go down by $2,500.
  • Many, many Americans are losing access to their doctors and hospitals despite the fact that Obama promised that if you like your current doctor, you would be able to continue seeing that doctor under Obama Care.
  • Many, many Americans are reporting that their current insurance policies are being terminated as a result of Obama Care.
  • Many, many businesses and other organizations across America have curtailed hiring, stopped hiring, or have fired existing workers in order to stay profitable, a condition severely threatened by Obama Care.
  • Many, many Americans are having their work hours curtailed as a result of Obama Care and are being turned in to part time workers.
  • The data systems and websites that were deployed to support the sign up process for insurance through Obama Care health exchanges are deplorably designed and fraught with errors, down time, and other technical problems, resulting in extremely low successful attempts to actually sign up for insurance.
  • The data systems and websites that were deployed to support the sign up process for insurance through Obama Care health exchanges are likely turning into identify thieves’ paradise because of faulty or non-existent security protocols.
  • The expected long term cost of Obama Care has tripled in just three years.
  • The legislation will add trillions of dollars to the already too high national debt over the next decade or so.
  • Many components of the failing legislation have already been terminated ( e.g. CLASS) for a variety or reasons or have been postponed because of implementation obstacles.
  • In order to make the Obama Care financials look good, the legislation steals over $700 billion in proposed funding for Medicare over the next decade, further endangering the financial health of that government process.

Dozens of times over the past three years, and six times in the past week, we have probably given hundreds of examples proving all of these points. We could probably do another dozen posts to further prove the disasters unfolding from the legislation, but as we stated above, doing so would just be more of the same, very depressing.

So today, we will tidy up some more mini-fiascoes from Obma Care and stop that line of reasoning and discussion for a while. In the next few days, we will be posting detailed analyses and commentary from several subject matter experts on the legislation and the bungled implementation that I can not do justice to in summary form. Thus, I will include the full text of their analysis and reasoning, all of which verify that this is the worst piece of legislation ever passed from a freedom, financial, and logistics perspective.

Finally, after the experts speak, we will lay out what needs to be done to fix the high health care costs in this country using a process for doing so proposed in “Love My Country, Loathe My Government.” It is a root cause based approach that would certainly be more effective than the laughable Rube Goldberg contraption that the political class put together and called Obama Care.

1) The Heritage Foundation recently released an extremely detailed, rigid, and comprehensive analysis of just what Obama Care will do to the insurance rates for Americans. The details of their methodology and detailed findings are available on a state by state basis at:

http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2013/10/enrollment-in-obamacare-exchanges-how-will-your-health-insurance-fare

Some highlights, or lowlights, of their findings include the following:

  • Residents in most states will see higher insurance rates as a result of Obama Care, and in many instances, much higher rates.
  • Some states that will not see higher rates are the ones that already had extremely high rates to begin with so most of them will not be getting much relief from their existing high insurance rates.
  • In Arkansas, a typical 27 year old adult should expect to pay 171% more for insurance under Obama Care, a 50 year old should expect to pay 79% more, and a family of four should expect to pay 25% more.
  • In Arizona, those increases are 157% 42% and 12%.
  • In Georgia those increases are 168%, 7y1%, and 21%.
  • In Kansas those increases are 129%, 72%, and 22%.
  • In Vermont those increases are 144%, 61%, and 18%.
  • In my home state of Florida those increases are 75%, 75%, and 23%.
  • In my former home state of New Jersey, the rates are basically the same pre and post Obama Care but those rates are still 20-30% higher than the Obama Care higher rates in the above states so that the promise $2,500 decrease Obama promised is not materializing anywhere.
  • Most other states are all experiencing double digit, and some case triple digit percent increases in their insurance rates as a result of Obama Care.
  • This analysis apparently did not analyze the increase in deductibles, another “cost” of Obama Care. We have already seen from previous reports that deductibles are increasing two, three, or more fold from what is available today as a result of Obama care.

Dreadful results. Now, supporters of Obama Care will claim that some of these rates will be less because of Obama Care subsidies. However, it is doubtful that subsidies will wipe out increases like the 171% increase for anyone age 27 in a state, never mind everyone age 27 in that state.  Thus, the argument that subsidies will reduce costs is true but meager from a financial perspective.

And getting back to break even was not the promise, $2,500 less than current policies was the promise. No way with these increases and with subsidies is the average cost going to break even, never mind go down by thousands of dollars.

Another trend when you look at the data from this state level analysis is that almost without fail, the younger you are, the more you will be paying for insurance under Obama Care, in both absolute terms and relative to others in your state. Thus, this proves the hypothesis that we have always adhered to: Obama Care will result in the greatest intergenerational transfer of wealth from those typically less affluent in our society, younger Americans, to those that are typically the most affluent in our society, the Baby Boomer generation. Doesn’t seem fair.

2) Consider what some mainstream media sources are saying about Obama Care, sources that are usually not very hard or harsh on anything Obama does:

  • New York Times: “For the past 12 days, a system costing more than $400 million and billed as a one-stop click-and-go hub for citizens seeking health insurance has thwarted the efforts of millions to simply log in, The growing national outcry has deeply embarrassed the White House, which has refused to say how many people have enrolled through the federal exchange. Even some supporters of the Affordable Care Act worry that the flaws in the system, if not quickly fixed, could threaten the fiscal health of the insurance initiative, which depends on throngs of customers to spread the risk and keep prices low."
  • Ezra Klein, a prominent Washington Post journalist and supporter of Obama Care, said that the Obama Administration has badly fumbled the first real launch of the law, leading him to call it “a big failure.”
  • Peter Roff of the U.S. News and World report explained that he lost his health insurance coverage because of the law, again contradicting President Obama’s claim that if “you like your health insurance, you can keep it.”: “The letter that came Thursday put the truth to the president’s lie. I would not be allowed to keep my current plan because it did not conform to the dictates of the new law and it was going away. And there was nothing I could do about it save enroll in a new plan because, as the letter also said, ‘you will be required to select a new ACA-compliant plan in order to continue your coverage.’”
  • This is becoming a very real experience for many Americans. They’re being forced to choose a different health insurance plan, even if they were happy with the plan they already had, forcing them to pay for coverage that may not necessarily need or want.
  • Regarding Obama Care rate shock,  Washington Examiner journalist Paul Bedard took note of that reality: “For someone able to get the problem-plagued Obama Care website to work, the so-called ‘deals’ the system is coughing up around the country include $12,600 deductibles, co-pays of up to 40%, zero competition, and rate hikes of 260%.”

More of the same, just a plain old disaster.

3) Outside of the mainstream media’s reaction, consider what happened to a writer of the Daily KOS, one of the most leftist leaning, Obama loving blogs on the Net. It seems that he finally found out the reality of Obama Care despite loving the Obama administration when he posted the following experience:

My wife and I just got our updates from Kaiser telling us what our 2014 rates will be. Her monthly has been $168 this year, mine $150. We have a high deductible. We are generally healthy people who don’t go to the doctor often. I barely ever go. The insurance is in case of a major catastrophe.

Well, now, because of Obamacare, my wife’s rate is gong to $302 per month and mine is jumping to $284.

I am canceling insurance for us and I am not paying any fxxxing penalty [Note: he used the unabridged profanity in his post]. What the hell kind of reform is this?

Oh, ok, if we qualify, we can get some government assistance. Great. So now I have to jump through another hoop to just chisel some of this off. And we don’t qualify, anyway, so what’s the point? [my bold added]

I never felt too good about how this was passed and what it entailed, but I figured if it saved Americans money, I could go along with it.

Who knew? Well, most of us that understood the underlying failure of the approach knew this kind of rate shock increase would happen, about 80% for her and about 89% for him.

His reaction was similar to the lady we discussed a few days ago in California that supported Obama Care because it helped uninsured Americans get coverage but was shocked when she found out how much she personally would be paying for that coverage to occur. Duh…

4) Back to the mainstream media, CNN senior medical correspondent Elizabeth Cohen has been trying for two weeks to sign up for Obama Care and sharing her experiences on CNN, a typically Obama loving news outlet.

Unfortunately, as she reported on CNN’s New Day program recently, despite trying for fourteen days including at hours that were claimed to be "off peak," she still hasn't been able to establish an account. Apparently she tried late at night, in the early morning hours. On the weekend, etc., all without success.

When outlets like CNN are down on an Obama effort, you know it is bad.

5) Last story of failure for today. The American Action Forum did their own analysis of what a young American will be faced with relative to monthly health insurance costs as a result of Obama Care. Their interactive map can be found at:

http://americanactionforum.org/research/premium-increases-for-young-invincibles-under-the-aca-and-the-impending

Interesting analysis, all consistent with the negative findings we have always reported about Obama Care.

However, their analysis goes a little further. They point out that the Obama Care business model needs about 2.7 younger Americans to enroll in Obama Care health insurance policies in order for the whole contraption to work. But they point that: “A cost-benefit analysis reveals that the cost of purchasing subsidized insurance is up to 10 times greater for this population than the cost of the mandate penalty. Premium spiral may be eminent, as many will find it financially advantageous to forego coverage, potentially limiting the actual number of “young invincibles” entering the exchange system to well below the administration’s goal of 2.7 million.”

If this likely foregoing happens, Obama Care likely crashes and burns under its own false assumptions.

Okay, as promised, this will end our monthly series reviews on the unfolding disaster of Obama Care, as we see it. Over the next few days we will be sharing thoughtful and insightful analyses and conclusions from people far smarter than me. Rather than try and summarize their findings, I think it will be better if you see their entire train of thought and how the reached the same conclusions of failure that we reached.

After reviewing their findings, we will go back to square one and lay out the plan that SHOULD have been used to finally tame the high cost of health care in this country.
