We have spent a lot of our recent posts about which state or city will go bankrupt first and the massive fraud that has been going on relative to government programs. But that does not mean that the potential class has not been up to its traditional incompetence, insanity, and screw ups. So, let’s catch up with the shenanigans that continue to plague the country:
1)Government fraud is not only done by criminals outside of the the government but sometimes government employees also do the stealing of taxpayer wealth:
According to reporting by the Blabberbuzz website, a former senior employee of Massachusetts governor, Maura Healey, has been charged for allegedly operating a "major cocaine trafficking ring” out of his taxpayer funded workplace office.
LaMarr Cook served as deputy director of Healey's Western Massachusetts office.
State police allegedly intercepted eight kilograms of cocaine that Cook tried unsuccessfully to ship to his government office.
However, despite the seriousness of his crime, he was given a token bail of only $25,000.
But the Boston Herald then reported that he vacationed in Disneyworld using Federal government SNAP food allocations.
I guess being arrested for being a major cocaine supplier does not invalid you from getting Federal government food support.
But it gets worse: after his arrest, the Healey administration gave him $31,000 of taxpayer wealth that the government had been "mistakenly paid out.”
No word if the mistaken payout was corrected and the money clawed back.
Government fraud and insane wasting of taxpayer funds comes from all directions including fraud associated with alleged cocaine peddling government employees.
2)There are a lot of Americans suffering in the city of Chicago today:
There are about 58,000 homeless Americans currently in the city.
There were 835 drug overdose deaths in the city last year so there has to be thousands of city residents that need drug addiction treatment.
There have been 686 shootings in the city this year, a 4% increase over last year at this time and a total of 858 shooting victims.
In June alone, there were 139 shootings and 43 homicides.
Over 500,000 residents, about 25% of the population, are living with food insecurity.
Obviously, a load of city residents are indeed of support and care. So what have the politicians of the city been spending a lot of money on over the past few years in spite of their residents’ suffering:
According to reporting by the Chicago Sun times, the city inspector general recently did a deep dive into city finances and accounting to see how money was being spent relative to the thousands and thousands of illegal immigrants that had come to the sanctuary city of Chicago over the past few years.
He was investigating whether proper accounting procedures had been followed in funding illegal immigrant support but the numbers he compiled are amazing and disgusting relative to illegal immigrants.
Chicago politicians spent a whopping $639.6 million for the support of illegal immigrants during the first 18 months of Mayor Brandon Johnson's term.
Before Biden let millions of illegal immigrants into the country, thousands of which headed toward the sanctuary city of Chicago, the city had only 3,000 beds for homeless folks.
The city had to open up 38 emergency shelters just to handle the flood of illegal immigrants.
But that was not enough and the city had to put up temporary shelters in police stations and the two main city airports.
It was amazing how fast city politicians were able to mobilize and get free housing, free food, free medical care and other free services for illegal immigrants and spend $639.6 million in the process. And yet, there are still hundreds of thousands of city residents who are homeless, hungry, and in need medical attention even after the $639.6 million of taxpayer money was spent on non-Americans:
If you do the math, that $639.6 million could have given every food-stressed American in the city three nutritious meals a day for about 14 months but yet, 500,000 city residents are food insecure today.
According to the government's Drug Abuse website, it costs on average about $6,600 to provide an annual methadone treatment for opioid addiction per person.
Thus, theoretically, that $639.6 million could have provided a year's opioid addiction support and treatment for just under 100,00 city residents and possibly reduced the 835 drug addiction deaths last year in the city.
The $639.6 million could have gotten the 58,000 homeless city residents about two months in moderately priced hotel rooms (assuming $200 a night) during the cold Chicago winters and kept them safe for at least a little while.
How many more police officers and district attorneys could have been hired with that $640.6 million to reduce the violence and homicides in the city?
Thus, despite spending $639.6 million the residents of Chicago are still suffering.
3)Let’s stay with the illegal immigrant problem Biden created and much like the idiocy the Chicago politicians spending over $600 million on illegal immigrants, consider the idiocy of the Minnesota governor relative to a dangerous illegal immigrant:
Tou Lue Vang was an illegal immigrant from Laos.
He was convicted of repeatedly raping a young American girl over several years in Minnesota in 2006.
He had illegally entered the country in 1994 and yet decades later he was still in the country.
The victim was only 10 years old when the raping began, raping that continued for four years.
Recently the governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, gave Vang clemency.
Fortunately, the Federal government stepped in and deported Vang back to Laos, as described by Secretary of State Marco Rubio: “Under President Trump, criminal illegal aliens who rape children will be found, arrested, and removed — and Democrat politicians will not stand in the way.”
But somehow Walz freaked out when the Feds deported this child rapist even though he called Vang’s actions “horrific.”
Lauren Bis, acting assistant secretary in the Department of Homeland Security, was having none of Walz.’s craziness: “Governor Tim Walz’s decision to pardon an illegal alien convicted child rapist so he can remain in our country is disgusting. These are the criminal illegal aliens he and his Minnesota sanctuary politicians are protecting.”
The insanity with this governor is strong. An illegal immigrant who repeatedly raped an American ten year old and continued the raping for four years is some how shown compassion by a failed governor.
But yet another example where illegal immigrants,including rapists, are more important to Democrats and liberals than the American citizen victims.
Enough insanity for today: protecting a child raping illegal immigrant, lightning fast response to help illegal immigrants in a sanctuary city while Americans in the same sanctuary city suffer and get nothing, and an alleged cocaine peddling state employee in Massachusetts who gets a $35,000 taxpayer funded exit gift.
