April, 2019, Part 2, Political Class Insanity: Joe Biden Has No Common Sense and Four of The Most Stupid Priorities of Democrats

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) As we discussed in our previous post, Joe Biden is under fire because of his creepy groping history when it comes to fondling women and young girls. Given how disgusting, repugnant, and sleazy his behavior has been, a smart person would have stayed as far away as possible from repeating such behavior in the near future and allowed the crisis to quietly pass.

But according to a Townhall article by Mike Vespa, Biden is not very smart. Speaking at a recent union conference at the Washington D.C. Hilton, Biden had some kids come up on stage while he was speaking. He then proceeded to put his arms around the young boy and said: “He gave me permission to touch him all right?...Everyone knows I like kids better than people.” 

How out of touch with reality is this guy? You are getting crucified by people up and down the political spectrum and you go an embarrass and grope a young boy on a stage in front of the world? And you want to be President of the United States with type of tone deaf behavior? Insanity.

2) Let’s take a look at some of the biggest problems facing the country and Americans today:

• Medicare is hurtling towards fiscal insolvency, endangering the health care of tens of millions of older Americans.
• Social Security is hurling towards fiscal insolvency, endangering the retirement lives of tens of millions of older Americans.
• Medicaid is hurtling towards fiscal insolvency, endangering the health care of tens of millions of poorer Americans.
• There is a crisis at the southern border, endangering the lives of millions of Americans from the illegal immigration of drug cartel members, MS-13 and other gang members, drug and human traffickers, and tens of thousands of illegal immigrants.
• Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran remain dire and dangerous political and military opponents.
• The national debt is now over $22 TRILLION, endangering our country’s fiscal viability.

And yet, what are Democrats worried about in this dangerous and dire environment:

- Nancy Pelosi and other Congressional Democrats have come out in favor of lowering the voting age to 16. Given valid scientific data that shows teenagers brains have not fully developed by the age of 16, why in the world would we allow them to vote? Pelosi: “I myself, personally, I’m not speaking for my caucus, I myself have always been for lowering the voting age to 16. I think it’s really important to capture kids when they’re in high school when they’re interested in all of this when they’re learning about government to be able to vote.”

She wants to “capture kids,” sounds like a Joe Biden move. The kids are not going anywhere Nancy, they will be around in two years to register to vote. My God, has she and those like her ever talked to a 16 year old? Voting is not on their radar, believe me.

- Expanding the Supreme Court. This is plain sour grapes because they lost the 2016 Presidential election, fairly and squarely, and this gave Trump the right to appoint people to the Supreme Court. Having lost the election battle they now want to change the rules of the game and disturb something that has worked well for well over two hundred years.

Presidential candidate Kamala Harris has stated: “We are on the verge of a crisis of confidence in the Supreme Court. We have to take this challenge head on, and everything is on the table to do that.” No we are not on the verge of a “crisis of confidence” in this area my good Senator. You and your peers are just still pissed off that Trump is President. I would bet that if Gallup ran a poll there would be a much larger crisis of confidence in Congress and people like Harris then with the Supreme Court. Maybe we should pack Congress to reduce current Congressional members’ clout.

- Some Democrats running for Congress have actually received the slavery reparations issue, i.e. white people should pay black people for something that happens to their long ago and far away relative to who may or may not were slaves. So, people like myself, whose family on both my mother’s side and father’s side did not come to this country until over fifty years after slavery ended, should have to pay someone else for what happened over 150 years ago

Seriously, beside being a stupid idea, how would this be administered? If I claimed that I am 1/32nd black, would I be entitled to reparations? Hey, Elizabeth Warren got favored treatment when she lied and claimed she was 1/32nd Native American, if it worked for her why not for me and hundreds of millions of other white Americans?

And I could get totally racist in the eyes of Democrats who support such a hare brained scheme and say African-Americans should pay reparations to the descendants of the 650,000 Union soldiers who died freeing their distance ancestors. The exact same logic applies: if these 650,000 Union soldiers had not died, slavery might still exist. Thus, African-Americans should be paying reparations to the families of long ago Union soldiers. See how stupid the original idea is when you turn it around?

- Despite being defeated by a vote of 57-0 in the Senate, with some Democrats actually voting against it, some Democrats continue to push the idiotic program known as the Green New Deal. This program, which is supposed to move the country to a totally renewable energy infrastructure, is estimated to cost about $96 TRILLION. Since the entire wealth of every citizen and business in America Is estimated to be less than this astronomical figure, the idiocy stands on its own. 

Besides being outrageously expensive and not needed, consider this reality:

• Washington has been running a postal system for over two hundred years and yet still cannot operate it effectively or efficiently, losing billions of dollars every year from its operations.
• Washington has been running a national railroad system for decades, AMTRAK, and has never operated it effectively, efficiently, safely or profitably.
• Washington has been running a Do Not Call List for years and yet I still get dozens of unwanted and illegal calls every week, offering me debt relief on my college loans (note: I am over 60 years), a great mortgage refinancing deal (note: I live mortgage free), or a myriad of other shady and unwanted telephone sales pitches.

So given these people cannot operate a postal system, a railroad, or a do not call list despite centuries or decades of trying, what makes anyone think they can manage changes to Mother Nature, changes that are not necessary given the myth of global cooling, I mean global warming, I mean climate change…

Enough insanity for today. Joe Biden does not get it and Democrat’s priorities are basically stupid, unattainable, unaffordable, and miss the truly big issues of our times. More insanity to follow.
