Let’s get started:
1) I have come to the conclusion that most Democrats across the country value illegal immigrants more than they value the needs of Americans. Nowhere do I find Democrats advocating for more help to aid homeless, hungry, drug addicted, and other needy Americans but I see a steady focus on illegal immigrant needs. This point was severely driven home by a recent article by Warner Todd Huston, writing for the Godfather Politics website on April 12, 2019:
- Democrats in the New York state legislature recent killed a proposal to provide tuition assistance for the children of veterans killed in battle defending our freedom and country.
- But they did approve legislation that would give free public college tuition to the children of illegal immigrants.
- The New York state Republican party properly scolded the Democrats for such heartless behavior: “Democrats just rejected tuition assistance for Gold Star families but approved it for illegal immigrants. Would these Democrats dare to look into the eyes of the children of fallen servicemen and women and say they matter less than those here illegally?”
- Democrats approved $27 million for tuition for illegal immigrant kids.
- This also followed legislation that gave the governor and the state politicians hefty raises in salary.
- Republican Assemblyman Gary Finch: “It’s disgraceful. Soldiers who lay down their lives and make the ultimate sacrifice represent the best of us. The children they love so dearly deserve access to the opportunity and promise that is the hallmark of this country. I can’t imagine what’s in your heart when you vote ‘no’ on a bill like this.”
- And Democrats cannot claim this would be too expensive since according to those quoted in the article the number of kids that would have qualified under Gold Star families is tiny compared to the number of illegal immigrants who will be getting tuition assistance.
- Democrats refused to comment on their atrocious behavior.
2) Speaking of Democratic politicians who do not care about Americans, consider the words from sitting Congresswoman and anti-Semite Ilhan Omar:
- Speaking to a Muslim organization, Omar referred to the horrific attacks on 9-11 as simply “some people did something.”
- Yes, some people did do something, something that resulted in almost 3,000 Americans being killed and thousands being injured, hardly as simple as “some people did something.”\
- Fortunately, people’s reactions were swift and direct beginning with the New York Post which ran an infamous picture of the Twin Towers exploding with her disgusting quote superimposed on top of the photo, “some people did something.”
- Shortly after that photo was taken back in 2001, the article correctly points out that thousands of people were then killed, burned, maimed, or suffocated.
- Also on the Post cover were the following words: “Here’s your something: 2,977 people dead by terrorism. Omar outraged the families of 9/11 victims by referring dismissively to the terrorist attacks while speaking to a Muslim lobbying group.”
- Congressman and former Navy Seal Dan Crenshaw also ripped her a new one: “First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as ‘some people who did something’. Unbelievable.”
- Retired NYC Fire Chief JIm Riches, whose firefighter son died on 9-11, had the following words of rebuttal to Omar’s insensitivity: “What Congresswoman Ilhan Omar said about Sept. 11 was disgraceful. She dismissed thousands of people being murdered like it was an everyday occurrence when she said ‘some people did something. We picked up the bodies and saw how gruesome it was. Those people died a horrible death. We were there for 9 months picking up body parts, pieces. I think Omar owes an apology to America. She owes an apology to the families. She came here from Somalia. She was educated here. We took care of her. And now she’s saying 9/11 was nothing? Until the time that you realize the importance of 9/11 as the worst day in American history, I call for your removal from Congress.”
3) Okay, it is looking like today is turning into a “why Democrats suck” day so let’s finish today’s political class insanity off along this theme. In Chicago, the district attorney, Ms. Kim Foxx, has gotten some grief from, well, just about everyone, when she allowed actor Jussie Smollet to get out from under 16 grand jury indictments for faking his own hate attack.
His fake attack escapade caused the city and its police department countless hours and over $100,000 worth of overtime police work trying to track down the supposedly hateful Trump supporters who attacked him. However, this effort was all for naught since Smollet faked everything.
The Chicago Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) has called for Foxx’s resignation in the face of such blatant disrespect for the justice system and the effort put forth by the Chicago police to do the right thing. In this country, this ability and right to call for her resignation is a right guaranteed by the First Amendment.
But rather than have an adult conversation about the whole mess, Democratic Congressman Bobby Rush came out with both guns blazing in attacking the Chicago police: “The FOP is the sworn enemy of black people, the sworn enemy of black people. The FOP has always taken the position that black people can be shot down in the street by members of the Chicago Police Department, and suffer no consequences. Let’s be clear: Kim Foxx, her battle, is with the FOP and all of their cohorts.”
My lord, so many problems with his statement and attitude:
- First of all, nobody in this case “was shot down in the street by members of the Chicago Police Department,” relative to Smollet, absolutely no one.
- Kim Foxx’s battle is with everyone who values the rule of law and the punishment of those guilty of breaking the law - police investigated the incident, they provided evidence of Smollet’s fakery to the district attorney, the district attorney went through the grand jury process based on evidence, the district attorney got 16 indictments against Smollet and then, after a phone call from a close Michelle Obama confidant, Foxx dropped everything with minimal impact on Smollet.
- Congressman, Foxx’s battle is with a whole lot more entities than the FOP and “their cohorts.”
- Oh, by the way Congressman, what are you doing about the constant murdering and wounding of black people in south Chicago, carnage that has been going on for years and thus, you must be part of that “black people being shot down in the streets” since you are certainly not part of the solution.
