The Failing Biden Presidency - Part 3

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

To review past posts on this insanity and idiocy, just click on the first few posts in each month listed to the right of this page. After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) Today’s post is going to be mostly focused on the cognitive and moral decline of Joe Biden. Everyone has a slip of the tongue or a slip of the mind occasionally but when it happens so often and it happens in the presence of other symptoms, then eventually one has to reach the conclusion that he is in the throes of a cognitive decline caused by unknown causes at this point in time.

And these slips are not recent, they extend back into the middle of 2020 and the Presidential race. In fact, we made the case that his wife, his family and his political handlers were guilty of elder abuse to put him through the rigors of a Presidential campaign.

We have reported on a variety of situations where Biden’s continuing cognitive decline was on display:
  • He tripped multiple times trying to walk up the steps to get into Air Force One.
  • He got lost and bewildered on a tarmac trying to get to a helicopter and had to be literally rounded up by Kamala Harris and Secret Service agents.
  • He threatened to run over a reporter who asked him a serious question about the violence in the Middle East.
  • When asked another question about what he learned from a Middle East briefing he simply said he learned “ a lot.”
  • During his first real press conference he had to be provided a seating chart of the reporters along with their names and photos, even though he had interfaced with these same people during his decades in Washington, so that he would not embarrass himself.
And now we can add another embarrassing situation to the ever growing list. In a recent meeting concerning FEMA, he could not even read off of prepared notes and ended up with a rambling, incoherent session. This embarrassment can be viewed at the following link:

2) Unfortunately, Biden’s accelerating cognitive decline is not only embarrassing but fatal in a variety of ways. His lack of understanding and misguided principles on the Middle East have led to Palestinian and Israeli deaths in the latest flare up in Middle East violence on his watch. People are dying at the southern border after he encouraged them to make dangerous and illegal attempts to enter the country. His reversal of a Trump directive on opioid addiction has likely led to thousands of unnecessary drug addiction deaths.

And now his missteps at the border are likely to increase the drug addiction in this country problem even more:
  • The flood of illegal immigrants at the border has resulted in Border Patrol resources being pulled away from stopping the flow of illegal drugs into this country.
  • There have been news reports of drug cartels bringing semi tractor trailers to the border loaded with highly addictive fentanyl.
  • As the cartels flood our country with this highly addictive substance, the addiction and death toll from it is likely to skyrocket.
  • In a recent interview, Texas governor Greg Abbott estimated that there had been an 800% increase in the amount of fentanyl intercepted at the border in the past year, giving an indication of how much more of the illegal drug is getting into the country.
  • Specifically: “I’ve got to tell you, Steve, there’s something else, a new dynamic about what’s going on at the border that Americans need to know about, and that is the increased apprehension of fentanyl coming across the border. Yes, there may be people coming across the border. But there [are] dangerous drugs coming across the border. For your audience who may not know, two milligrams of fentanyl is a fatal dose. And so, know this, we had…[an] almost 800% increase April over April of the amount of fentanyl that has been apprehended by the Texas Department of Public Safety. We have obtained enough fentanyl coming across the border to kill every single person in the state of New York.”
  • Think about that scary statistic: the border law enforcement people have intercepted enough fentanyl to kill 19 million people, the entire population of New York state, imagine how much the non- intercepted fentanyl could kill.
In 2019, over 36,000 Americans died from synthetic opioid overdoses, most of which were based on fentanyl. In 2021, that number is likely to be far exceeded due to the failed and fatal border and illegal immigration polices of Biden and his policies.

3) Politicians lie all of the time, one of the reasons why our election processes are broken and the country is in the mess we are in: once elected, American politicians care only about themselves and their own self enrichment and whatever help they promised to the American people in their campaign is quickly forgotten.

And as a long term member of the American political class, Biden is no different, as we see from his blatant lying about how heavily he will tax all of us, not just the wealthy, not just companies, ALL of us:
  • When campaigning in 2020, Biden promised he would only raise taxes on big corporations and individuals making over $400,000 a year.
  • But once in office it became clear that the $400,000 number was bogus since it turns out that the $400,000 a year promise was for households, not individuals as he originally promised.
  • Thus, a husband and wife who each make $200,000 would see their taxes go up since in total they earn over $400,000 a year, Biden’s first little lie.
  • But his tax lies do not end there.
  • According to Jim Tankersley of the New York Times, that newspaper has obtained a copy of Biden’s budget documents.
  • In those documents we see that Biden plans to tax EVERY American at higher rates by 2025: “The documents forecast that Mr. Biden and Congress will allow tax cuts for low- and middle-income Americans, signed into law by President Donald J. Trump in 2017, to expire as scheduled in 2025.”
  • In case you forget, Trump’s tax rate cuts allowed well over 100,000,000 hard working American to keep much more of their earned income regardless of how wealthy or not wealthy they were.
  • These tax cuts increased average household income, reduced unemployment levels to unheard lows for African-Americans, Hispanic-Americans, women, high school educated workers, and just about every other sub-category of American worker, raised consumer confidence, brought high paying manufacturing jobs back into this country, reduced energy and gasoline prices, and all the while kept inflation well under control.
  • By allowing those tax cuts to expire, we can expect the opposite effects to take place: higher unemployment especially for minorities, lower household income, higher gas and energy prices, the loss of high paying manufacturing jobs, and higher inflation.
And yet Biden promised that he would not raise taxes on all of us, just the wealthy. And before he allows the Trump tax rates to expire, we are already seeing the effects of his bad economic policies: inflation is hitting rates we have not seen in decades, companies are already moving high paying manufacturing jobs overseas, energy and as prices are already spiking higher, consumer confidence is down, etc. Imagine how bad things will be when he lets our tax rates rise.

And for those of you who hate Trump and disagree with the above scenario that played out when Trump cut just about everyone’s taxes, get yourself educated on reality. Keep in mind that when Democrat President Bill Clinton cut taxes during his term, the economy skyrocketed and everyone benefited, just like what happened under Trump. When Democrat Harry Truman cut government spending and taxes after World War II, the economy skyrocketed.

As we have said so many times, this country has a government overspending problem, it does not have an under taxation problem. But as a long term member of the American political class, Biden, and the rest of them, do not understand basic economics and as a result, they have to lie during the campaign about not raising taxes and then do just the opposite when elected : expand government spending, which is always inefficient, ineffective, and wasteful, and make us pay for their economic ignorance.

4) And while the past few posts and this one have focused on the cognitive decline of Joe Biden and the chaos, deaths, and bad policies that are resulting from his decline, let’s not forget that he has a Vice president who is just as ineffective, just as out of touch, just as vain as him:
  • Biden assigned Vice President Kamala Harris the task of fixing the illegal immigrant fiasco he created at the southern border.
  • Over two months after receiving that assignment, she has yet to visit the border to try and understand what is really going on but has visited other places in the country that did not require her to put forth any deep thought or leadership skills.
  • At a recent meeting with the leader of our strong ally, South Korea, she wiped her hand on her clothes after shaking the leader’s hand, a major diplomatic and sensitivity screwup.
  • And this past weekend, the weekend when we honored those American soldiers and airmen who gave their lives to protect our lives and our freedoms, Harris vainly tweeted out a picture of herself with the words, “enjoy the long weekend.”
  • No mention of the sacrifices made by those that served our country, no remembrance for those that died in that service, no, just a light airy picture of herself with her wishes to have fun.
But we already have reported how tone deaf and vain she is in previous posts. Thus, this is what we have leading the country today: a tax increasing, lying, cognitive declining, out of touch President and a vain, unappreciative Vice President who has done nothing to halt the insanity, the deaths, and the chaos at the border.

Those that died serving the country, those that died protecting our rights and lives deserve better than what comprises the American political class today.

July, 2020, Update: “The Horrors And Destruction That Donald Trump Has Imposed On America...Just Kidding!”

We are in the middle of our monthly “Political Class Insanity” stream but wanted to take time out from that craziness before continuing with the current insanity running through the American political class. Over the past three years we have been running an occasional series sarcastically called, “The Horrors And Destruction That Donald Trump Has Imposed On America...Just Kidding!” During those multiple posts we have tried to take an objective view of Trump’s administration and its accomplishments.

Having never voted for a Republican President in my life (I am 67 years old) and thus, having not voted for Trump, I think I have somewhat of an unbiased view of the Trump Presidency. The purpose of these posts has been to get down below the liberal hate and venom they have for Trump, and everything else in this country that is not supporting of liberal causes, views, and craziness, and get to the bottom of what his accomplishments, if any, have been.

In doing so, we easily came up with hundreds of positives that the country has experienced under the Trump Presidency that most Democrats and liberals will deny but what reality will say are true, including:
  • Reducing the African-American unemployment level to record lows.
  • Reducing the Hispanic unemployment level to record lows.
  • Reducing the non-high school graduate unemployment level to record lows.
  • Reducing the female unemployment level to record lows.
  • Reducing the overall unemployment level to record lows.
  • Increasing household income steadily since taking office.
  • Raising the income levels of the lowest earning Americans faster on a percentage basis than any other income level.
  • Reducing the country’s carbon footprint by 140 million metric tons even though he withdrew us from the useless Paris Climate Agreement.
  • Forcing NATO partners to finally fulfill their financial commitment to defending Europe from a military budget perspective.
  • Keeping gas prices near record lows for a long time on an inflation adjusted basis.
You get the idea, it has been a very good Presidency so far along any number of perspectives. To see the hundreds of other accomplishments, enter, “The Horrors And Destruction That Donald Trump Has Imposed On America” in the search box above.

So let’s review some of his accomplishments that we have already discussed and add some new ones, using the same format that we used for the previous reviews of his Presidency:

***********************

Before we start today’s discussion, let’s review my voting history:
  • I have never voted for a Republican for President in my life.
  • Thus, I did not vote for Trump.
  • I have rarely voted for a Republican for national office in my life.
A little over three years ago, many liberals, Democrats, and millennials were besides themselves with grief and fear because their pre-ordained queen, Hillary Clinton, was not elected President. Instead, Donald Trump was elected, an individual that these same people despised, hated, and feared, an individual they felt would endanger and possibly destroy the country and our democracy. For the past three plus years they fretted, worried and lashed out at anything or anyone that even remotely smelled of Donald Trump.

Given that Trump has been in office for over three years, I thought, that as someone who did not vote for him, it would be a good idea to review the horror, trauma, and terrible things that Trump has subjected the country to in just eighteen month’s time. This is obviously a very sarcastic comment when you take an unbiased look at what has happened during the Trump Presidency. The many previous posts we did on this topic identified hundreds good things that have happened to America and Americans since Trump became President, including, but not limited, to the following:

The bill also requires voice service providers to develop a framework to verify calls are legitimate before they reach your phone, aloof which Obama never did accomplish.

*Trump did all of this while fighting flagrant and fake Russian collusion and ridiculous, politically driven impeachment charges.

Another set of reasons to add to the previous hundreds why the first three plus years of the Trump Presidency has not wrought disaster on the country.

For those of you that have hated on Trump since day one, and given your obvious gross error in judgment relative to Trump, let me ask that you to do us all a favor by implementing the following changes in your behavior and attitude:
  • Chill out, tamp down your TDS affliction. No matter how much you hate Trump on a sexist, personal basis, get over it. He is the legally and duly elected President, so refocus your hatred on more constructive issues and matters. You will live a lot longer if you take your hatred out of your heart and soul and devote it to something positive.
  • I would really appreciate it if some of you would apologize to the Trump voters you have disrespected in some of the grossest terms possible over the past year. You have called millions of voters racists, ignorant, stupid, Nazis, KKK members, and other horrible names simply because you disagreed with their voting choice. No American should be called such disgusting names simply because they exercised their Constitutional rights to the best of their abilities. Plus, slandering over 60 million Americans is no way to unite the country and get it focused on the real issues facing us all.
  • More personally, I would like, no I am demanding, an apology from some of you for your slanderous and disgusting name calling because in doing so, you insulted and disrespected my sister, my family members, my friends, and my co-workers who simply voted their conscience. I will defend their right to vote anyway they wanted and will not put up with your childish and vicious venom and bile directed at them, very important people in my life.
  • And finally, I challenge you to read the following blog post, a post that shows quite clearly that it was hateful people like some of you and your silence during the Obama years that actually caused Trump to be elected. Thus, the people you hate for voting for Trump are actually looking back at you in the mirror:
https://loathemygovernment.blogspot.com/2016/03/how-american-liberals-and-washington.html

If you were silent in the dozens of instances listed in this post then you were responsible for the very thing you hate: a Trump Presidency. Or put another way, a so far successful and productive Trump Presidency. Hundreds of accomplishments in just over three years is not too shabby despite many of you wanting both Trump and the country to fail.

Great review of what has actually gone down in this country on the positive side of the ledger during the past three years, a reality that most of the country’s mainstream media refuse to acknowledge.

September, 2016, Part 9, Political Class Insanity: Defeat In Afghanistan, Food Stamp Fraud In New York, Chicago Violence, and More

It is the beginning of another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

The current monthly record for the number of days needed to cover one month's worth of insanity is ten. We almost equaled that record last month when we needed nine days to cover one month’s worth of political class insanity. There is a very good chance that the ten day record could fall this month since as we get closer and closer to the election, the volume of ineptness grows almost exponentially.

But today and for all of the posts this month, let’s start off with a welcome piece of honest political dialog. It comes from a State Department spokesperson.Mark Toner, who is about to start the daily State Department press briefing. In a joking matter, he makes the following quote: "Welcome to the State Department. I think we have some interns in the back. Welcome. Good to see you in this exercise in transparency and democracy."

He then burst out laughing at his own quote, indicating he also knew what a joke the Obama administration has been, especially Mr. Toner’s State Department, when it comes to cover ups, lack of transparency, denial of Freedom of Information Act requests, the prosecution of whistleblowers, etc. But at least it was a little refreshing to finally hear some actual honesty out of Washington as we see from the actual clip of the news conference:

Let’s continue on with this month’s political class insanity, Day 9 for September, 2016:

1) It seems every month, we find we need to talk about the runaway violence that is happening in Chicago. Every week there are dozens and dozens of shootings which always ends up in some number of deaths as a result of those shootings. Last week we covered the shooting results from a single weekend in August. As drug cartels and other criminals take over the city’s streets, civilians are often left defenseless since Chicago has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country. It seems politicians never understand that criminals are not going to heed gun control laws, that is why they are criminals.

Well, this month we are going to cover two weekends of Chicago gun violence and the deadly results. MRCTV, in an article written by Brittany Hughes, highlighted what happened in the city over the Labor Day weekend and the carnage was not good:
  • 65 people were shot and 20% or 13 died as a result of Chicago gun violence over the holiday weekend.
  • Victims included Crystal Myer who was nine months pregnant.
  • Allen Smith, a retired pastor, was killed outside of a nursing home.
  • According to the Chicago Tribune, this was the deadliest Chicago holiday weekend of the year, by far.
  • Police attributed much of the violence to gang activities.
  • The 90 murders in Chicago in August was the highest monthly number since 1996.
Out of control gun and other violence despite having the toughest gun control laws in the country. And the political class both in the city, state , and Washington have no idea, or no desire or will, to do anything about it. If one of the basic, primary functions of government is to protect its citizens, than that function is failing very badly in Chicago with no help or end insight.

2) The United States has been fighting a war in Afghanistan since 2001, immediately after the 9-11 attacks. Thousands and thousands of American troops have died or been wounded and the American taxpayer has easily spent hundreds of billions of dollars, often wastefully, in the country. In fact, more money has been spent and more lives lost and ruined by wounds since Obama took over than during the Bush regime and despite the fact that Obama promised to have us out of the country by 2014.

One would have hoped that for this pain, dying, and suffering, human and financial, that we would have something to show for our efforts. But again, hope is never the right word to use when describing any endeavor run by the American political class.

Because according to Jack Davis, writing for the Western Journalism website on August 24, 2016, The American University Of Afghanistan, located in the capital city of Kabul in Afghanistan, recently came under heavy attack by Taliban militants last week. Early reports from CNN reported that at least a security guard had been killed and 21 students wounded. The attack started with a car bomb explosion and then a breach of the security walls of the university.

After fifteen years of taxpayer spending and military efforts have left thousands of our soldiers dead and wounded, our major enemy in the country, the Taliban, can still waltz into the center of the capital of the country and rain havoc and violence down on students? Seems like an insane waste of military, financial, and human resources, courtesy of the American political class.

3) Last week we discussed the arrests of over a dozen individuals in the Baltimore area that had defrauded the Federal government and the American taxpayer via the Federal food stamp/food assistance program. Fourteen people were arrested and accused of stealing at least $16 million from the food assistance program. $16 million from one gang in one city, which gives you an idea of how bad this problem likely is nationwide.

Recently, another food stamp scam was uncovered in northern New York. An illegal immigrant was arrested for using his owned grocery store to change food assistance credits into cash and then using the cash to restock his store. The charges were serious enough for a $2 million bail to be assigned to him so this is not considered by the judge to be some kind of petty theft.

But what is interesting is how his family reacted to his arrest and bail, basically saying that America should go f*&% off and giving local news people the finger after the bail hearing. Yes, illegal immigrant breaks the law, steals from the American taxpayer and America should go f*&% itself. It is an insane world we live in, as witnessed by the following videotape report on the crime:

4) Wages and household incomes for the American middle class and poor have basically been flat and stagnant for the entire run of the Obama administration. But one entity within the country has seen its income grow steadily in the face of the rest of us getting by with less. And that entity is the Federal government:
  • The Congressional Budget office (CBO) recently reported that the Federal government took in a record high haul in tax receipts through July, 2016, a whopping $2.679 TRILLION.
  • And yet despite stealing a record number of dollars from Americans in 2016, the Federal government will likely run a budget deficit of $600 billion, an increase of $56 billion from the last CBO estimate for 2016 and increase of $161 billion from the 2015 full year budget deficit.
  • Even more distressing, despite receiving a record amount of tax receipts, the New York Analysis of Policy and Government organizations points out, based on the analysis it has done, that the Federal government is still underfunding important functions like national security, infrastructure improvement, hardening the national electrical grill, and other problem areas.
  • And the shortfalls in these areas are in addition to the impending financial collapse of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
Like an addict, no matter how much the political class takes in from taxes on hardworking Americans, the more they need without getting anything constructive done. As we recommended in our book, “Love My Country, Loathe My Government,” we need to make government smaller and smaller, stripping it down to basic government functions in order to give the government a chance of doing something, anything, effective and efficient. Because right now, government and the politicians and bureaucrats that operate it are trying to do everything and getting nothing done efficiently and effectively.

More insanity tomorrow, when we will tie the monthly record for most posts under the theme. “Political Class Insanity.”
