Biden's Failed Immigration Policies and the Death and Violence It Has Caused To Americans - Part 6

 We have often discussed the reality that Biden’s border policies have been an unbelievable failure. Illegal drugs are flooding into the country, violent South and Central American gangs setting up shop in  U.S. cities, and local city and state budgets are being adjusted so that illegal immigrants can be fed, sheltered, and given medical attention, stealing government services from American taxpayers.


But one particularly distressing and tragic result of Biden’s failed immigration policies is the danger that have befallen innocent Americans at the hands of violent illegal immigrants who never should have been admitted to the country. This is not to say there should be no immigration into this country.  But there has to be a rigid screening process so that violent people do not get into the country and carry out heinous, often fatal, attacks on innocent Americans.

1)Let’s continue with the chaos and violence that Biden’s pathetic border security and control policies have caused, this time in  New York City:


  • In  the first three months of this year, arrests in homeless shelters and illegal immigrant shelters have gone up about 100% according to the New York Post.

  • 836 arrests were made during that period, the most for any quarter since 2018.

  • There were just over 400 arrests for the first quarter in 2023.

  • 272 of the arrests in the first quarter of this year were felony arrests.

  • One of the shelters saw a whopping 295% increase in arrests.

  • The 25th Precinct of the New York Police, an area with significant illegal immigrant housing,  reported that murders are up 50% in the first quarter of this year, assaults are up about 25%, and larceny is up almost 15%.

  • According to Councilman Bob Holden (D-Queens) said, "Crime at shelters is skyrocketing due to disastrous policies that flood our streets with criminals, the warehouse-style shelter system, and the constant flow of violent migrant gang members crossing our border. This lunacy is transforming neighborhoods into crime-ridden zones, and New Yorkers are paying the price with their safety and taxpayer dollars."


Crime, violence and in some cases death around and in the shelters the city has had to manage for the untold number of illegal immigrants that Biden has allowed into the country and who have made their way to NYC.


2)Now New York City voters are partially to  blame since they continued to elect the same politicians that bragged that their city was a so-called sanctuary city, a city where illegal immigrants could go to and not fear being turned over to Federal immigration law enforcement authorities. Well, the politicians in those sanctuary cities and states never dreamed that they would have to back up their condescending and bragging attitudes because of the flood of illegal immigrants allowed into the country. 


And now one of those sanctuary states is crying uncle as a result of their horrible sanctuary state policies and the politicians that instituted them:


  • Massachusetts politicians, including the current governor, Maura Healey, have long bragged about how welcoming and charitable they are in their sanctuary state when it comes to illegal  immigrants.

  • Thousands and thousands of Biden’s illegal immigrants took her up on the offer and opportunity to live in a sanctuary state Massachusetts.

  • But the governor now realizes the error of her ways since she has proclaimed that Massachusetts is full and no longer can handle additional illegal immigrants coming into her state.

  • She is sending word out that she would appreciate it if illegal immigrants would avoid her state and go elsewhere, a 180 degree spin away from her utopian concept of a “sanctuary state.”

  • Massachusetts had offered a very generous package of benefits to illegal immigrants coming into the state and now state politicians realize they can longer afford this generous policy since right now there are exactly zero shelter beds available anywhere in the state for illegal immigrants.

  • The governor actually sent a state government contingent to the border to urge people illegally entering the country to not come to Massachusetts.

  • These people spent time actually physically handing out fliers, in several  different languages, to discourage them from going to Massachusetts.


Again, much like New York City, the citizens of Massachusetts are partly to blame for the situation: illegal immigrants sleeping and living in Logan Airport in Boston, illegal immigrants sucking up taxpayer wealth so that they can be fed, sheltered and given free medical attention. crime and  violence rates rising as notoriously bad characters flood across the  border and onto American  streets. 


A Biden failure, and failure of sanctuary politicians, everywhere.


3)Let’s go to Texas and get very specific on some disgusting illegal immigrant behaviors here:

  • Local police recently arrested ten illegal immigrants suspected to be involved in child pornography activities.

  • Those arrested were supposedly from Guatemala and Asia.

  • The house where the ten were arrested was also suspected to be involved in human smuggling.

  • The same day in Texas, another illegal immigrant was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a child in Florida.


Child rapist, human smuggling, and child pornography by ten illegal  immigrants. Nasty stuff.

Biden's Failed Immigration Policies and the Death and Violence It Has Caused To Americans - Part 4

1)Let’s start in New York today:


  • Twenty one year old Sakir Akkan is an illegal immigrant from Turkey.

  • He illegally entered the country last November in California.

  • While he was apprehended by the Feds, there were not enough beds in the detention facility so they just let him back out onto the streets.

  • He told the authorities he was headed for Philadelphia and was ordered to appear in court in February, 2025, which means he was out on the streets for many, many months.

  • However, he did not end up in Philadelphia, he ended up in Albany, New York.

  • There he targeted an American teenage girl walking down the street.

  • He kidnapped her, threw her in his vehicle and threatened her.

  • He drove her to an isolated area where he raped her.

  • Fortunately, she escaped to a nearby house for help.

  • He was shortly arrested and charged with the rape.


The violence perpetrated on Americans all over the country is done by illegal immigrants from all over the world.

2)And it is not just one-in-one attacks from Biden’s failed immigration policies that are killing and harming Americans:

  • On average, 200 Americans die everyday from fentanyl overdoses, fentanyl that has likely been provided courtesy of the Sinola and Jalisco Mexican drug cartels.

  • And with Biden’s leaky borders, the cartels are importing unbelievable amounts of illegal drugs including fentanyl.

  • In the first six  months of 2023, 38,000 Americans died from cartel fentanyl.

  • The DEA recently reported that the cartels are using Chinese underground banking facilities to launder their drug profits from the U.S.

  • Thus, China is not only supplying the basic chemical building blocks for fentanyl to the cartels, they are helping them launder the money after the sales.

  • Almost 15 TONS of fentanyl was seized by the Feds at the border in 2023 which makes you wonder: how many tons did they not seize that made it onto  American streets?

Rape and murder and violence and drug overdoses, the consequences of Biden’s failed border and illegal immigration policies.

3)Even when the government captures illegal immigrants coming into the country, they often just release them into the country and then lose track of where they go and where they end up:


  • This is particularly concerning when some of these people who are released are cartel members, gang members, and terrorists.

  • Border Patrol records show that  almost a million of illegal immigrants were released but over 177,000 of those released are nowhere to be found.

  • An inspector general report found that the government is doing a really lousy job of recording and tracking where illegal immigrants are located.

  • On a slightly different angle, since August 2021, 97,000 people from Afghanistan were allowed into the country about 77,000 of them were not vetted.


What a mess: people with all kinds of goals, many of them violent, and the Federal government has no clue where millions of these people are and what they are doing. An estimated 12 million illegal immigrants have entered the  country since Biden took office and they came from 150 different countries and you can  be sure many of those countries want to hurt America and Americans in the worst way.


4)As we have  reported before, millions of illegal immigrants flooding into cities has required city politicians to divert hard earned American taxpayer wealth to be used to feed, house, and provide medical attention to them. This has resulted in reduced police, fire and  EMT budgets. Another way where illegal immigrants harm American citizens:


  • In Denver, Mayor Mike Johnston recently asked every city government department to reduce their budgets by 10 to 15%.

  • The reason to inconvenience citizens in Denver with budget cuts is because the mayor needs $180 million to care for the illegal immigrants that have invaded this “sanctuary city.”

  • The Denver fire department will see a budget reduction of $2.5 million, possibly negatively impacting the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.

  • The Denver mayor tried to justify the  negative  impact on Denver Americans but was really just blowing hot air:  "After more than a year of facing this crisis together, Denver finally has a sustainable plan for treating our newcomers with dignity while avoiding the worst cuts to city services. So many times we were told that we couldn't be compassionate while still being fiscally responsible. Today is proof that our hardest challenges are still solvable and that together we are the ones who will solve them."


Such idiocy, you cannot reduce city services by 10-15% and think that citizens are better off.


That will do it for today relative to Biden’s  failed immigration policies: rapes, drug overdoses, missing terrorists, and a city continues to use taxpayer money to make life easier foe its illegal immigrants.

May, 2024, By The Numbers: Chicago Is Now The Leading Candidate For Bankruptcy

 On a periodic basis we do some posts that fall under the theme of “by the numbers.” Rather than trust what the American politician tells us about reality, we like to examine the real numbers and the real reality in the world to understand what is actually going on. Relying on politicians, and their cohorts in the media, to tell us what is reality is always a sucker bet. They have their own agendas and goals, usually centering around their needs and self-enrichment. So we need to look at the reality of the numbers to determine what is really going on.

Previous analyses of “by the numbers” can be accessed by entering the phrase in the search box above. We look at the numbers to truly find out how good, not likely, or bad, most likely, the American political class is doing in managing our tax dollars, protecting our freedoms, and resolving major issues that affect all of us.


1)We have often made the case that a state government or a large city government will soon go bankrupt. Our top states that are likely to soon go bankrupt include:


  • California

  • Illinois

  • New York

  • New Jersey


Our top city candidates to go bankrupt include:


  • San Francisco

  • Los Angeles

  • New York City

  • Chicago


The bankruptcy scenario is likely to unfold as follows:


  • The state or city politicians continually raise taxes on residents and businesses in order to fund their out of control government spending.

  • This causes residents and businesses to move to other areas of the country where they get to keep their hard earned wealth.

  • This out migration to other locations reduces the tax base which reduces the government tax revenue stream.

  • Rather than get more efficient and/or reduce government spending to match the lower tax revenue stream, the politicians raise taxes even more to make up for the tax revenue shortfall.

  • This drives more residents and businesses out of the state or city, further reducing the tax revenue stream and the financial death spiral is underway.


In fact the financial spiral may already be underway in the government entities listed above. California is looking at a tax revenue shortfall in  the next fiscal year in the tens of billions of dollars. Its unfunded future financial liabilities are quickly approaching a trillion dollars which gets more and more difficult to fund since residents and businesses are quickly leaving the state.


New York  City and San Francisco have been especially hard hit with businesses and highly paid residents leaving their cities. On  top  of this out-migration crisis, these cities have always bragged about being “sanctuary cities” for illegal immigrants.  This has resulted in tens of thousands of illegal immigrants coming to their cities, putting additional strain on already dicey financial  conditions.


But given the dire statistics laid out in a recent Wall Street Journal article by Judge, Glock, it appears that Chicago is now the clear leader when it comes to the race to bankruptcy court. Consider some of the statistical and financial realities he documents in his writing:


  • Chicago's debt obligation load is about $49 billion which comes out to an individual debt load of about $43,000 for each city taxpayer.

  • This does not include the $42,000 debt load per resident that the state of  Illinois is faced with.

  • Thus, a taxpayer in Chicago is looking at an individual debt load of about $85,000 that city and state politicians have incurred for each taxpayer in the city and state.

  • It is by far the worst combined tax liability of any city in the country.

  • And it is not  likely the tax burden in the city is currently real low so that some of  this debt could be paid off by raising taxes since average family living in the  city currently sees about 12% of their earnings go to city and state taxes and that is before they pay Federal  income taxes, Social Security taxes,  and Medicare taxes.

  • The city property tax burden on businesses at 4% is the highest in the  country.

  • All of this has driven companies out of the city with the city’s business space vacancy rate sitting at over 25%.

  • Big companies, e.g.  Boeing,  and many other businesses have left the city which has driven up that office vacancy rate.

  • The population of the city and surrounding areas have  fewer residents than what they had 15 years ago as the tax base shrinks.

  • Generally, over 40% of the city’s budget is annually spent on inflexible fixed costs such as city employee pensions and city bond interest costs, costs that cannot be trimmed to any great degree.

  • For comparison, the second place city when it comes to fixed pensions and interest costs at the city level is Dallas  at 31%, 25% lower than what Chicago has to pay.

  • The city is facing a $34 billion bill for future pension liabilities and a $2 billion bill for retiree health care benefits liabilities but has only saved about 25% of the amount needed to pay the pension liabilities and  has put aside nothing for future retiree healthcare benefits.

  • Its  pension debt liabilities are higher than any other American city and actually higher than the pension liabilities  for many state governments.

  • But Chicago residents and businesses are also on the hook for other government debt liabilities including the liabilities of Chicago School  District,  Chicago Park District, Cook  County, the Forest Reserve District, and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, all of which increase the debt burden for just the city government by another 50%.

  • Budget wise for the formal city government, the mayor projects a tax shortfall of $538 million in  the current fiscal year and possibly a $1 billion shortfall in fiscal  2025.

  • Not covered in the  article is the  reality that the Chicago teachers union is  clamoring for billions of dollars more in support of their agendas.

  • Also not covered is the continuing need to feed, clothe, and provide medical  services to the tens of thousands of illegal immigrants roosting in this sanctuary city.


Sounds like a financial death spiral to me: high taxes drive out residents and businesses reducing the tax base which causes tax rates to  rise to pay for pensions, interest payments, and other city services which drives more residents and  businesses out of the city which further reduces the tax base without reducing the fixed costs of pension and bond interest payments, and the death spiral is in full motion.


Mr Glock quite elegantly summed up our death spiral  concept in his final paragraph: “Chicago could keep paying off its bondholders and  retirees by bleeding public services, hiking taxes and driving out still more residents but it would become a shell of its former self.” Sounds like a financial death spiral to me.


Thus, we may now have a clear leader in the race to bankruptcy court: the once great city of Chicago, a city whose politicians’ mishandling of its tax base and  economy are to be blamed for its soon to be fiscal demise.
