Let’s get started:
1) We have never been fans of politicians. They are ineffective, vindictive, petty, greedy, and useless. And now they are violent and their violence has been caught on tape:
- The Democratic mayor of Atlantic City was recently caught on camera fighting an Atlanta City councilman.
- And to make things worse, he was not even fighting a Republican councilman, he was fighting a fellow Democrat.
- And the fight was in the parking lot of a casino.
2) For many years we thought that Nancy Pelosi was the best source for absolutely inane, ignorant and out of touch statements. But in a matter of months, newly elected Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has shot up the charts as a politician with the most inane statements possible:
- Despite having an economics degree, she does not know how to calculate the unemployment rate, an extremely simple economic concept.
- She thinks that the Federal government has three branches of government: the Presidency, the House of Representatives and the Senate.
- She somehow thinks that the Electoral College is somehow linked to and represents slavery.
But she is the gift of gaffe that keeps on giving, considering her recent observation: she recently compared her election, and the election of a few other socialists, to Congress as being on a par with the moon landing and the 1964 Civil Rights act.
Specifically, “We've done what we thought was impossible. We went to the moon. We electrified the nation. We established civil rights. We enfranchised the country. We dig deep, and we did it. We did it when no one else thought that we could. That's what we did when so many of us won an election this year.”
Let’s review this assertion to see if it was truly as epic as she claimed:
- She is not the first woman elected to Congress.
- She is not the first Hispanic elected to Congress.
- She is not the first Democrat elected from her Congressional district.
- She won an election in an overwhelmingly Democratic Congressional district.
- None of the others she referred to upset a Republican, they all came from truly Democratic districts.
- At no point was she riding atop a complex rocket that could explode at any point in time, leading to an instant and fiery death.
- At no point in time was she a quarter million miles from home.
- At no point were the hopes and dreams of the human race riding on her success.
- She did not electrify the nation, she did not establish civil rights, and she did not enfranchise the country.
3) Speaking of pathetic politicians, Obama has refused to go away and act dignified like all previous Presidents. He is so narcissistic that he constantly is showing up in the news making claims and strutting around that is so below how former President should act.
First, he tried to claim that the incredibly great economic times the country is currently enjoying is because of his economic policies, not anything Trump has done. Although none of the current trends, record low unemployment across all societal breakdowns, record government tax revenue collection because of so many people now have jobs, rising wages, low inflation, great overall national economic growth, etc., occurred during the eight years he was President, he still thinks, in his own narcissistic mind, that he somehow made it all happen, two years AFTER he left office.
In reality, Obama presided over the worst economic recovery in the history of the country despite his best, and fruitless expensive, efforts to not have this distinction. Sounds like a massive jealousy streak on his behalf.
Not satisfied sounding like a jealous little kid when it comes to the economy, he also now is trying to claim credit for the low energy prices and boom in energy production in this country, again, two years AFTER he left office:
- His specific claim: “You know, I know we’re in oil country and we need American energy, and by the way, American energy production. You wouldn’t always know it but it went up every year I was president. That whole, suddenly America’s like the biggest oil producer and the biggest gas — that was me, people.”
- OMG, is he kidding me, he wanted everyone to pay $5.00 for a gallon of gas to REDUCE energy consumption and production.
- OMG, is he kidding me, he blocked the Keystone Pipeline project even though every Federal agency that looked at it said it was okay.
- OMG, is he kidding me, he shut down oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico for half a year while disobeying a Federal judge’s order to not do so.
- OMG, is he kidding me, he tried in so many ways to cut back oil production on Federal lands.
- OMG, is he kidding me, he signed off on the ridiculously stupid Paris Climate Agreement that would have strangled America’s energy industry and raised energy prices significantly for Americans.
- OMG, is he kidding me, he imposed costly regulations on fracking companies to restrict that industry, an industry that has led the United States to lead the world in reducing its carbon footprint, has helped keep gas prices low, and has broken the back of the OPEC monopoly on energy.
- OMG, is he kidding me, Trump rolled back 70 Obama era regulations that inhibited energy production.
- And finally, consider what former Shell CEO John Hofmeister said Obama for taking credit for America’s oil boom.“If anything, he was trying to frustrate the efforts by taking federal lands off of the availability list — putting them just, no more drilling [sic]. He shut down the Gulf of Mexico for a period of six months. [He] changed the regulations from an average of 60 to 80 pages per permit to 600 to 800 pages per permit. He also never approved the Keystone XL pipeline after dangling all the potential customers for eight years. And it was in the eighth year when he said no Keystone Pipeline.”
