Election 2020, Part 6 - The First Invalid Presidential Election In Our History?

I have voted in every Presidential election for a lot of decades. I have never voted for a Republican for President and thus, I did not vote for Donald Trump either time. 

Thus, I think I can say without much bias that this just completed Presidential election is shaping up to be a disgrace to democracy given the highly likely it was corrupted, manipulated, and outright fixed by so many people and entities across the country. Ballots were lost, ballots were found in garbage cans, computers were hacked, computers inadvertently, or intentionally,  moved votes from one candidate to another, ballots showed up in polling places with no chain of command security protocols followed. Politicians announced results days before the voting took place.

I am sure some of the potential incidents of voter fraud and cheating were incorrect. But I am sitting on almost 200 news reports of, call them, “voting irregularities,” enough to convince me that this was the most dishonest, poorly handled, and obscene election that abuses the First Amendment rights and “one person, one vote” tenet that is basic to our democracy.

Over the next few days I will be pulling out a lot of those 200 news reports and briefly discussing what allegedly happened. I can not say all of these news reports are true and I cannot say all of these news reports are false. 

But when people are arrested, when people admit on video that they cheated, when there are videos made of people delivering box loads of videos in the middle of the night, I think the evidence is pretty clear that the corruption in this election was real and widespread.

I am not to drawing any conclusions but consider the following reality: the voting locales where most of the corruption occurred was almost ALL in Democratic party controlled areas: Democratically controlled cities, Democratically controlled counties, and Democratically controlled states and happened only in states that were considered “swing state” in the election, in other words, the states that could go either way and a nudge here or a nudge there, from a voting corruption perspective could make all the difference.

Each of these incidents are sourced by the organization that reported the voting fraud. I am not going to do a deep dive into each story but by providing the source, you can follow up and decide for yourself whether or not the voting fraud and corruption allegation is legit.

73) The Freedom Flag - A lawsuit that has been filed in the state of Michigan claims that tens of thousands of unsealed ballots were brought into the state by out of state registered cars:

• The suit claims that these ballots were then filled out and counted in the voting tallies in the state.
• The suit was filed by the Great Lakes Justice Center which claims that the unsealed ballots were used to inflate the vote totals of Democrats.
• The suit includes sworn testimony of witnesses that saw the illegal voting practice going on.
• Specifically: “After election officials announced the last absentee ballots had been received, another batch of unsecured and unsealed ballots, without envelopes, arrived in trays at the TCF Center. There were tens of thousands of these absentee ballots, and apparently every ballot was counted and attributed only to Democratic candidates. Unsecured ballots arrived at the TCF Center loading garage, not in sealed ballot boxes, without any chain of custody, and without envelopes.” 
• The lawsuit alleges that all of the ballots “were cast for Joe Biden.”

The suit asks that the certification of election results be delayed until the suit is settled.

74) American United Daily - Georgia voting processes were so screwed up that it had to do a recount. And even then, according to local news outlets, a letter from local Georgia Republicans allege the recount has the following issues: 

1.The audit does not include a review of signatures on absentee ballot applications and ballot envelopes to confirm the validity of the statutory signature verification process by the counties.

2.We have concerns about meaningful access to the auditing process by our designated monitors. Your office announced today that the state parties can designate only one reviewer for every 10 audit teams. That makes it impossible for hand count decisions to be reviewed in real time.

3.We are very troubled by the directive issued today that counties must certify their results by 5:00 P.M. tomorrow. Given that the audit and recount will necessarily still be ongoing, it is completely improper for counties to be directed to certify the accuracy of the results before the audit and hand count are completed.

4.We had expected to receive by yesterday the parameters for the hand count in order to provide sufficient time to the public of the process to be followed. However, your training and guidance were issued only within the last few hours and the counties are directed to start the audit tomorrow.

5.The security of the paper ballots is critically important. Aside from a single passing reference about security during today’s training, the Secretary of State’s office provided no substantive guidance regarding the necessity of maintaining the security of the ballots, the transporting of ballots, and documenting the chain of custody as required by law.

Another mess about the inability of the political class to actually conduct a fair and corrupt free election.

75) Steadfast Clash - On November 16, this website updated the voting corruption in irregularities: In multiple states, hundreds of thousands of ballots show that “voters” only voted for Joe Biden on their ballots, no one else: Pennsylvania — 98,000, Georgia — 80,000-90,000, Arizona — 42,000, Michigan — 69,000-115,000 and Wisconsin — 62,836.

Seems highly unlikely unless massive fraud is involved that tens of thousands of voters in a state would only vote for Biden and ignore the rest of the ballot.

76) Biz Pac Review - Sidney Powell, a Trump lawyer going after the voting corruption issue, claimed in a recent interview that the Dominion voting computer system used by many states and counties across the country, has previously been used by the CIA to corrupt elections around the world. She alleges that:

• Whistle blowers say that “substantial sums of money” were paid to family members of state officials [foreign politicians] in countries that used the Dominion voting programs.
• These officials, in addition to the kickbacks, were provided “election insurance,” i.e. guaranteed results that their candidates would win the election regardless of actual voting results.
• Specifically: “It’s really an insidious, corrupt system and I can’t tell you how livid I am with our government for not paying attention to complaints even brought by Democrats” about the systems, Powell said, going on to name Rep. Caroline Maloney of New York, as well as Sens. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota.
• Furthermore:“And nobody in our government has paid any attention to it, which makes me wonder how much the CIA has used it for its own benefit in different places, and why Gina Haspel is still there in the CIA is beyond my comprehension. She should be fired immediately.”
• The interviewer, Maria Bartiromo said she has spoken to a whistle blower computer expert who alleges that the Dominion software contained suspicious “patches” and other features that led him to believe it was not secure.
• More Powell: “They [Dominion] can remote access anything, they can watch votes in real-time, they can shift votes in real-time,” she said, noting that Trump’s legal team has even “identified the exact algorithm” used to allegedly alter votes.

77) The Informed American - Dekalb County, Georgia voting official, Eric Burton, was recently fired. Apparently he did not follow established voting procedures and protocols which caused at least 59 ballots to not be included in the final count. This comes on the heels of Floyd County, Georgia election chief Robert Brady getting himself fired after a similar failure to follow voting procedures that resulted in a whopping 2,000 ballots not being included in the voting tallies.

Yeah, Georgia results should be examined in as much detail as possible, not only for corruption but also for ineptness of voting officials.

78) Patriots United News - Looks like Georgia is not the only state that cannot count or follow protocols: "The Registrar of Voters for Clark County, Joe Gloria, went to the press and admitted that “the results of a county-wide canvass showed 936 total discrepancies, including 710 in mail precincts, 121 in early voting precincts and 105 in Election Day precincts.” That isn’t good. The ratio also highlights something Democrats don’t want to admit. Mail in ballots are a lot more susceptible to tampering. According to the Nevada official, the state tried to illegally count “canceled votes,” along with ones issued by voters with “reactivated voter cards” and despite “check-in errors at polling places.”

Thus, there are at least 1,700 voting irregularities that Nevada officials are willing to admit to. In fact, they have already decided that one county election needs to be redone since one out of six votes were deemed suspicious for any number of reasons.

79) America's Freedom Fighters - A person known simply as “Greg on the Right” has done a great analysis using actual, official, approved, state of Pennsylvania voting records that apparently he downloaded from the state voter website. He imported the official state information into an EXCEL spreadsheet and started cutting the data different ways. He then went through the data using the following criteria:

• In his first pass through the data he filtered out ballots that were mailed by the state government, the same day they were received back by the state government, filled out, through the mail.
• He found that 11,000 of the ballots were filed out by the voter and returned back to the government the same day the government mailed them out to the voter.
• He then filtered by the date that applications were approved by the government, mailed out by the government, received by the voter, filled out by the voter, and received back by the government the same day.
• He found over 8,000 cases in this pass through the data, that a voting application was approved, mailed, filled out and received the same day.
• His last pass through the data was when he looked at cases where ballots were received back in the mail, filled out, before the records show they were actually mailed out.
• He found over 7,400 cases where ballots were reportedly received back and filled out before they were actually mailed out by the government.
• These wacky/corrupt results were found in only one million cases since the EXCEL spreadsheet would not allow him to load any more than a million records.
• Remarkable time traveling going on in Pennsylvania if true: ballots approved, mailed out, filled out, and mailed back all on the same day or even more remarkable, received back before they were mailed! The details and screenshots of his analysis can be found at:

These are the next 7 (of 79) instances of voting fraud so far that have been alleged and reported that we have included in this summary set of posts. Again, some may not be true. But it is highly unlikely that all of them are empty, sour grapes of the losing side. The corruption is too wide, too consistent, too focused, and too overwhelming, as subsequent posts will show. 

And if true, many bad people have corrupted and damaged a fundamental right of freedom, the ability to have their vote counted and counted equally with other legal cast votes. Anything short of this high standard is wrong, dangerous, and treasonous. More to come.

Note: So far we have discussed only 79 instances of shaky voting procedures and. As we discussed previously, we are sitting on close to 200 cases of alleged and probably fraud, we just have not gotten to these other instances yet.

November, 2018, Part 5, Political CLass Insanity: Yes Barack, You Did Have Scandals....And A Lot Of Them, Part 2

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started. With the midterm election season in progress, Obama has decided that he needs to weigh in on the issues of the day. Never mind that for eight years he was useless, he somehow thinks that America needs his views and opinions. 

1) One of the self centered remarks he has been constantly making while out in the country was that his administration had no scandals. But the All News 247 blog did a great job identifying well over a dozen major scandals that he somehow forgot about, ten of which we reviewed in our last post:

1 - In a move that never made any sense, Obama traded five high value, very dangerous Taliban terrorist leaders for a single Army deserter, Bowe Bergdahl. Other U.S. soldiers were wounded and killed trying to rescue deserter Bergdahl and yet, Obama traded dangerous people for a deserter.

And recently it has come to pass that these five have been heavily involved in recent Taliban terror actions and leadership roles since they have been released, endangering not only U.S. military personnel in Afghanistan but endangering an untold number of Afghanistan citizens. Scandalous.

2 - Under Obama, the EPA managed to turn the Colorado River into an orange stained polluted waterway via its incompetence. If a private company or citizen had been so careless in their actions, which let to a massive pollution problem, they would have been fined and likely jailed. Since the Obama administration did it, there were no ramifications.

3 - The General Services Administration (GSA) was one of the most corrupt Federal government organizations under Obama. It wasted so much much taxpayer wealth, threw lavish parties in faraway locales like Las Vegas, and yet it was near impossible to get anyone fired for the waste.
4 - Despite promising numerous times to fix what was broken at the Veterans Administration to stop the suffering and lack of care our veterans were receiving, he failed miserably at fixing this massive problem. It is one thing not to know a problem exists and therefore not address it and fix it. 

But it is far worse to acknowledge this problem exists and then for eight years fail miserably to adequately address it. His scandalous incompetence resulted in the outright deaths of veterans who had to wait months to see a VA doctor, a wait that was often too long. And yet, VA executives received lavish pay raises and perks. Or as the article summarized: “Obama was more interested in spinning the news and minimizing his political exposure than addressing problems; in few areas outside Obama Care has his rhetoric been more hollow, his promises more meaningless.”

5 - Obama’s Vice President, Joe Biden, once said that the Obama administration was going to “place bets” on different alternative energy companies and technologies. But it turned that 1) all of those bets with taxpayer money went to Democratic supporters and donors and 2) all of those bets lost, resulting in no tangible benefit for the American taxpayer of the environment.

The queen of lost bets and wasted taxpayer wealth was the failed solar energy company Solyndra. Despite receiving over half a billion dollars of taxpayer wealth, the company still failed quickly and dramatically. Obama then compounded the loss by allowing a major Democratic donor and Solyndra investor to be placed ahead of the American taxpayer in the Solyndra bankruptcy proceedings.

6 - Despite its reputation of being efficient and effective, the Secret Service organization under Obama was a disaster and disgrace. Secret Service agents were caught cavorting with hookers in Columbia, they allowed a fence jumper to deeply penetrate the White House, drunken Secret Service agents drove their car into a security barrier and an agent had his gun, badge, and computer drive stolen from his car.

7 - Let the article describe the next scandal: “Shutdown theater: Obama hit the American people hard during the great government shutdown crisis of 2013, doing everything he could to make American citizens feel maximum pain – from using “Barry-cades” to keep war veterans away from their memorials, to releasing illegal alien criminals from detention centers. It was an infuriating lesson for voters in how every dollar they get from government is a dollar that can be used against them, when they are impudent enough to demand spending restraint.”

8 - And last but not least, Obama agreed to a foolish and doomed to failure Iran nuclear deal. He promised that the deal would result in better life styles for ordinary Iranian citizens which would cause the Iranian government terrorists in power to stop their terror campaigns across the world.

And the deal was a failure on both counts. Life for Iranian citizens has gotten far worse under the deal, resulting in public demonstrations in Iran, a very dangerous thing to do under any dictatorship. The Iranian government has intensified its terror dealings and shenanigans around the world, funded in part by the millions and millions of dollars in cold cash that Obama tried to secretly sent to them.

2) Yesterday we discussed one of the most serious Obama scandals, the shredding of the Fourth Amendment, when he had the intelligence agencies of the Federal government spy on and collect the electronic communications of every American without cause or warrants. But now according to the Horn News website, Obama was not satisfied with just spying on ordinary citizens:

• A new report has surfaced explaining that former President Barack Obama actually spied on Congress so he could punish the whistleblowers who warned them about Obama’s ‘Big Brother’ spy tactics.
• Congressional investigators found that the Obama administration secretly stole communications sent to Congressional staff people, communications from CIA whistleblowers.
• These whistleblowers were trying to warn Congress that Obama was abusing the resources of the CIA for political purposes, something that Obama wanted to prevent from becoming public.
• According to Senator Chuck Grassley, who as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee tried for five years to get the documents proving such heinous and illegal actions: “The fact that the CIA under the Obama administration was reading congressional staff’s e-mails about intelligence community whistleblowers raises serious policy concerns, as well as potential constitutional separation-of-powers issues that must be discussed publicly. Nothing—nothing—should inhibit or interfere with Congress’s constitutional job and protecting whistleblowers.” 
• Grassley’s effort continually ran into roadblocks set up by James Clapper, Obama’s National Intelligence Director, and John Brennan, his CIA Director, who obviously did not want their illegal and immoral actions to be uncovered.
• Obama and the NSA spied on the entire country and even the left leaning, liberal ACLU agreed that Obama went well beyond what was legal under the Constitution: “Americans should be alarmed that the NSA is vacuuming up their emails and phone calls without a warrant,” the ACLU said about the Obama-era NSA in 2017.
• And do not forget, Obama prosecuted nine government whistleblowers during his eight years,three times more than all other U.S. Presidents combined.
• Grassley correctly called Obama’s actions “unacceptable and unpatriotic,” since those actions could stop “responsible citizens from disclosing waste, fraud and abuse in our government. Blowing the whistle has played an integral role in maintaining good government.” 
• Fortunately, Clinton was not elected because you can bet none of this law breaking and Constitution shredding would have become public knowledge. 

Well over a dozen Obama scandals and areas of law breaking have been discussed over the past two posts. And yet he is so delusional that he either believes there were no scandals or he thinks that we are too stupid to realize his numerous scandals even existed. In either case, a perfect example of political class insanity.

Our Continued Loss Of Freedom, Part 2: The CIA Hacking Of The Constitution and Our Privacy

One of the reasons why America has been such a wonderful experiment in government is because of the many freedoms that the Founders guaranteed via the Constitution and Bill of Rights. America has lifted more people out of poverty and created a legendary middle class that has never been matched anytime in history. Freedom comes in many different ways and each of those ways helps make Americans wealthier and freer to live their lives as they want.

But for the next few days we will be examining how that freedom mission and promise has been severely impaired by the American political class. We have often discussed on how our freedom of speech, freedom of religion, economic freedom, and other freedoms have been eroded over time by our politicians. And as the next few days will prove, these politicians have continued to impose their will on us until we will them to stop.

Previously, we focused on how our economic freedom is being stripped away by over taxation and over regulation of the Federal government. And when you think about it, without economic freedom, i.e. the freedom to keep the fruits of our labor, there really cannot be many other kinds of freedom. If you were allowed to keep more of your income and wages, you could:

• Send your kids to better schools.
• You could more easily start your own business.
• You could donate more to charities and needy individuals that you want to help.
• You could take more and better vacations.
• You could live in a better house or drive a better car.

Without economic freedom, freedom in other parts of your life become much more restrictive.

Today, we will talk about the freedom of being left alone and privacy and how the political class and the out of control government bureaucracy they oversee is destroying both our privacy and the Fourth Amendment:

We have previously discussed the reality that the Obama administration had stepped up its Orwellian spying effort, via the NSA, when it started to collect just about every electronic communication of every American without getting a warrant, without due process, and without probable cause. Fortunately, Eric Snowden uncovered the Obama spying network which resulted in some safeguards being put in place. 

However, the Obama administration spying effort was an unprecedented violation of the Fourth Amendment. And who knows what information the government still holds about every American and whether or not they really stopped the spying. While the government claimed they stopped the spying on innocent Americans but who knows if they did, they certainly did not announce their spying plans and operations the first time around.

But before we move on to the latest government intrusion into our lives, this time via the CIA, let’s quickly review how the Obama administration and Federal government spied on other, non-Americans. We go through this list to illustrate how the NSA, the CIA, and the Obama administration had no trepidations about spying on and violating the privacy of famous people. If they had not qualms or morals about spying on the following people, I doubt they had or would have qualms about spying on you:

• The Federal government spied on a private meeting between German Chancellor Angela Merkel and UN Secretary Ban Ki-Moon regarding a climate change meeting they were having.
• Obama was briefed that the Federal government was “monitoring” Merkel in 2010 but allowed it to continue.
• The Federal government tapped the phone of the Chief of Staff for the UN High Commissioner for Refugees.
• The Federal government intercepted messages of the Director of Rules of the World Trade Organization.
• The Federal government intercepted Italian diplomatic cables that involved Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.
• The Federal government intercepted conversations between European Union and Japanese trade ministers.
• The Federal government targeted five top European Union officials for long term message interception including tapping their phones in several different countries.
• The Federal government targeted the Italian ambassador to NATO for long term message interception.
• The Federal government tapped a private meeting between French and Italian prime ministers regarding the Italian banking system.

Even worse than this spying and message interception is the reality that the U.S. had actually signed an agreement with the United Nations that it would not do such spying. But much like the Obama administration and the Federal government which ignored the Fourth Amendment, the administration and Federal government apparently ignored their formal agreement with the United Nations. Again, proving that the last administration and the current Federal spying operations would have no qualms about spying on American citizens.

Back to the CIA intrusion into our lives and the lives of others around the world as they enhance their ability to trample our Fourth Amendment rights. According to the latest releases by Wikileaks, the CIA has been busy creating and collecting various computer viruses, malware, and spying capabilities from around the world and from within the CIA itself. 

Unlike the NSA, which at least has the illusion of getting warrants to spy on people, according to the Wikileaks information, the CIA’s cyber effort has no trepidations about screwing around with people’s lives and privacy:

• The Wikileaks release of its latest documents shows that the CIA has collected a massive, detailed catalog of secret computer hacking tools.
• These hacking tools can be used to turn computers, Internet router computers, smartphones and web-enabled televisions into remote electronic spying devices.
• The hacking tools were so good that they would enable CIA personnel or others to by bypass the encrypting software of both Apple and Android smartphones.
• This information was among the 9,000 documents that Wikileaks released, what promises to be just the first set of stolen CIA documents.
• Some of the documents show CIA personnel discussing how to hack Apple and Android smartphones in order to ascertain someone’s location and audio and text messages in addition to taking over a smartphone’s microphone and camera.
• This is interesting because the Obama administration had promised smartphone manufacturers that it would tell those manufacturers what security gaps the government uncovered and yet we now see that during that administration the CIA was actively trying to find ways to exploit those smartphones, indicating another potential Obama administration lie.
• But it is not just smartphones that are at risk since one program called “Weeping Angel” can turn a Samsung Internet connected televisions into listening devices which can send family and other conversations back to the CIA.
• Other CIA hacking programs can corrupt car control systems, which in the era of self driving cars would allow the CIA to turn a car into an assassination vehicle.

All of this is very Orwellian “1984” stuff. Given the history of the previous administration and that the NSA and CIA often operate on the edges or beyond the limits of the law and Constitution, this is very scary stuff. And adding to the scary nature of an out of control U.S. intelligence community is the reality that it is highly likely, given that Wikileaks implies it has a lot more CIA stolen documents that it could release, it appears that the CIA’s hacking library may now be out in the real and virtual world, allowing America’s enemies to raise havoc with our lives.

We have discussed the reality that we have allowed the American political class to limit our economic freedom and now it appears that we are at the mercy of intelligence agencies that have little or no incentive to obey privacy laws and morals and the Constitution. Orwell would be so proud.

August, 2016, Part 5, Political Class Insanity: More Gun Control Failures, The Voting Dead In North Carolina, and More

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc. In fact, last month we set a record, needing ten full posts to cover it all.

After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

It looks like our politicians have been especially insane over the past month or so let’s get started with the latest insanity from today’s American politicians:

1) Previously in this month’s series on political class insanity we showed that Chicago’s strict gun control laws have done absolutely nothing to curtail the criminal violence in the city. Dozens of citizens are shot every weekend with a handful of them dying from their wounds. We also showed how the level of violent crime across the country has recently started to tick upwards after decades of steady decline.

Turns out violent crime is doing a good business in the nation’s capital according to a recent Newsmax article. Statistics from the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department found that there were 162 homicides in the nation’s capital in 2015 vs. 105 in 2014, about a 60% increase in one year. But D.C., also like Chicago, also has some very stringent gun control laws and regulations. As with the Chicago politicians, the D.C. local politicians do not get it either, stricter gun control laws makes for more violence and crimes. And as with Chicago, the D.C. politicians have no idea why they are wrong or how to fix the increasing violence in their cities.

2) Democrats and liberals also get real uptight when it is suggested that one should have to provide an id in order to vote. In every other aspect of life, an id is required to execute a function, including getting credentials at the recent Democratic National Convention. But when it comes to perhaps the most important function in a democracy, voting, they somehow think that this is an undue burden on someone.

Now, those that think having an id is so terrible in order to vote, they will often make the claim that voter fraud is so small as being insignificant, and that requiring an id to vote solves a non-existent problem and is racist. But again, given the importance of the democracy concept of one vote, one person, shouldn’t we error on the safe side when it comes to voter fraud? Especially when you consider what was uncovered about the voter rolls in North Carolina a few years ago:

• An audit of the state’s voter rolls found that 2,214 North Carolina registered voters were over the age of 110 years old.
• Most of these 110 year olds were registered as Democrats and appeared to live in four Democratic-controlled counties in the state.
• Some of these vibrant 110 year olds voted via absentee ballots which in itself is a little suspicious from a potential voter fraud perspective.
• This analysis from the Carolina Transparency project found that 631 of those identified were Democrats who were over the age of 112 and two voters who actually voted in an election a few years ago are over the age of 150, one was 154 years old and the other was 160 years old.

So when a liberal or Democrat claims that voter fraud is not a problem, tell him or her about the Carolina Transparency analysis and results. Of course, this could be that North Carolina’s government voter processes are just so screwed up or it could be that there is serious voter fraud in at least four state counties. Which makes simple and easy voter id laws a worthwhile endeavor to protect us against people who theoretically are over 150 years old and still voting.

3) The concept of intrusive government is probably no better illustrated in this country than in California. Their very high taxes and high degree of business regulation often make a joke of democracy and freedom. But has it been worthwhile, have high taxes, over regulation, intrusive government mandates and laws, and the loss of freedom been worth it? Is the quality of life much better when politicians and unelected government bureaucrats control your life or are you better off when you can control your own life and fate?

A recent article by the National Review went a long way to answering that last question:

• 62% of California state roads have been rated as poor or mediocre.
• There have been significant cost overruns in the state’s high speed rail line effort before any track has even been laid.
• One third of San Francisco Bay area residents state they are hoping to leave at least that area soon.
• The total amount of in-state taxes are among the highest in the country.
• In addition to bad roads, the state’s education results rank near the bottom of all 50 states.
• Despite years of droughts, the state has not built a single new reservoir for a very long time.
• One out of every three U.S. welfare recipients live in California.
• About 25% of the state’s population lives below the poverty line.
• The state’s gas and electric costs are among the highest in the country.
• State union employee pension and medical programs are severely underfunded and facing insolvency.
• Half of the state’s tax revenue comes from a tiny, tiny group of ultra rich people, making the tax revenue stream vulnerable to outward migration of those ultra rich.
• One-third of California residents admitted to state hospitals for any causes suffer from diabetes, a sometimes-lethal disease often predicated on poor diet, lack of exercise, and excessive weight.
• Although San Francisco is one of the of the wealthiest areas of the state, multitudes of homeless people wander the city’s sidewalks.
• One in four residents of the state were not born in this country, placing heavy financial burdens on the state’s welfare programs.
• The state is devolving into a two tier society with an elite, wealthy tier along the coasts who are thriving off of the technology industry and the vast majority of other state residents in the rest of the state.
• Those on the coast can afford better roads, better schools, and better lives while the interior of the state residents are stuck with far less from life.
• As an example of this major societal disconnect, the article claims a house in Menlo Park on the coast would likely cost about $1,000 per square foot while a similar house three hours away in Madera would cost about $100 per square foot.
• Well intentioned and thought out ways to improve life have either been ignored by the political class in the state or struck down by liberal leaning state courts.

As we have often pointed out in this blog, the more government you have, the more taxes you impose, the more regulations you force on people, even if your intentions are good usually result in a wealthy political elite and their government sucking cronies and worse lives and less freedom and liberty for the vast majority of the residents being governed. 

We have shown how this concept worked in Detroit which is a former shell of a city, how it is corroding Chicago, and how the state of California with its high taxes, high number of regulations, oppressive politicians, and well connected wealthy residents are tarnishing what used to be called the “Golden State.”

4) One last piece of insanity today, courtesy of old Harry Reid, former Senate Majority leader, and a constant presence in this blog to do his inane quotes and general ineptness in being a leader. Historically, once the Democrats and Republicans choose their Presidential candidate those candidates are given confidential and top secret security briefings to keep them up speed on what is going on in the world and give them a running start if they should be elected. 

But recently Harry Reid declared he wants to stop that process because he is afraid of what Trump would do with it. Instead, he publicly declared that the CIA and other intelligence organizations should give Trump false information. Yes, actually feed the potential next President lies and falsehoods, to what end I do not know. 

He failed to make the same assertion relative to Hillary Clinton who has actually been proven by a massive FBI investigation to be unable to keep government secrets safe. Talk about hypocrisy: punish the candidate that has no history or spilling confidential information all of the Internet and let the candidate that violated secrecy laws, regulations, and guidelines get access to all of the secret information the government can provide. Insanity.

Enough insanity for today: Harry Reid still making no sense, the voting dead in North Carolina, the collapse of life in California, and more gun control failures.

August, 2015, Part 4, Political Class Insanity: Death Of The Export-Import Bank,CIA Spies On Congress and More

At the beginning of each month we take a week or so to review the latest insanity from the American political class. Insanity from them includes a wide range of very depressing actions which can include wasteful spending, idiotic quotes, an inefficient and ineffective government bureaucracy, failed economic policies, etc. Every month we continue to prove that we are being served by the worst set of politicians ever.

And as you will see, this month’s review and discussions do nothing to prove that this thesis is wrong in any way:

1) In past posts we have always supported the termination of the Export-Import Bank. This is a Federal government entity that takes American taxpayer money and gives it out as loans to foreigners to purchase American made products. There are a number of things wrong with this type of government operation:

• Why are we giving and risking taxpayer wealth with foreign companies, let them buy American goods with their own money or their governments’ own money.
• Contrary to what Export-Import fans say, most of the money and loans go to supporting very large American companies such a GE, Boeing, etc. We should let those companies’ stockholders finance purchases of their companies' products, not taxpayers since it is the stockholders that will see any advantage of doing so, not the taxpayer.
• Giving U.S. taxpayer-backed loans to foreign companies to purchase American products disadvantages American companies that compete with those foreign companies since domestic companies cannot get Export-Import loans.

Fortunately, the bank's charter recently expired and hopefully it will stay dead in future Congressional sessions. As an example of why it should stay dead, consider the highlights from the following Washington Examiner story by Timothy Carney from June 18, 2015:

• Apparently, the bank has given a $650 million, U.S. taxpayer backed loan to the richest woman in Australia.
• Gina Rinehart owns Roy HIll mining in Australia and is also the richest woman in that country. Despite that wealth status, the Export-Import bank loaned her company $650 million to purchase equipment made by GE and Caterpillar.
• But a U.S.mining company, Cliff’s Natural Resources, an American company that competes with Roy HIll, does not get any financial support and taxpayer backed plans from the Export-Import bank, putting it at a competitive disadvantage.
• The loan also disadvantages the U.S. domestic steel industry since Roy HIll sends a lot of its mined ore to China which turns it into steel which impacts worod wide steel prices. 

How perverted has Washington become where we send U.S. taxpayer money half way around the world to support foreign companies owned by very rich people but do not extend that opportunity to domestic companies? If selling equipment to Roy Hill is so important, than let the stockholders at Caterpillar and GE finance the purchases.

Hopefully, with the recent death of the program, this type of financial insanity will stop and that the Export-Import Bank will not rise from the dead. But zombie people do rise fom the dead as do zombie govenrment programs so who knows.

2) Recently released CIA reports from the CIA inspector general now show that the White House is possibly involved with the CIA’s spying on personnel in the U.S. Senate. The reports show that CIA Director John Brennan met with White House chief of staff Denis McDonough and discussed the intention to search the computers being used by Senate staffers working for Senator Dianne Feinstein to investigate the use of torture by the CIA on suspected terrorists.

The report said that Brennan had ordered CIA investigators to use “whatever means necessary” to ascertain how Senate investigators had obtained “certain sensitive internal documents.” At that time, Feinstein’s Senate committee was conducting its own investigation into the CIA’s enhanced interrogation techniques.

While the CIA spying on Congress is bad enough, the inspector general analysis shows that White House personnel knew that the spying was going on and did nothing to stop it. Obviously, if this is true, than Feinstein’s argument that the CIA had “likely violated the constitutional separation of powers,” is a very valid and very serious Constitutional violation, a violation that the White House might also be guilty of.

The inspector general concluded that the five CIA employees who conducted the search had “engaged in wrongdoing,” according to the Huffington Post, but, as always with government lawbreakers, that their actions were not punishable. At about the same time the inspector general report was made public, a CIA Accountability Review Board report asserted that Brennan, who denied telling CIA employees to use “whatever means necessary,” failed to “appreciate what forensic techniques were necessary to answer his questions.”

Violate the Constitution, very bad, but no punishment. Smoke a cigarette in your own home in NYC, and you could soon be a criminal. Down the rabbit hole of political class insanity we fall.

3) The Government Accountability Office is kind of like the Federal government’s auditor function, going around and identifying and fixing what is wrong with government functions. Someone in that entity was recently caught doing their job well when they identified thousands of Medicaid beneficiaries and hundreds of medical providers that were involved in ripping off the American taxpayer during 2012, the last year complete data is available:

• The ripoffs included receiving improper and fraudulent payments.
• The fraud amounted to $18.3 million in just four states, New Jersey, Michigan, Florida, and Arizona.
• About 8,600 Medicaid beneficiaries had improperly collected benefits from more than one state.
• 200 dead Medicaid beneficiaries had received upwards of $9.6 million AFTER they had died.

Makes you wonder who is watching the taxpayer money since in just a few paragraphs we saw that the Federal government is sending hundreds of millions of dollars in taxpayer wealth to the richest woman in Australia, millions of taxpayer dollars to dead people, and millions of dollars to live people who are double dipping. Pathetic fiscal management.

4) But it is not just the Federal government that gives taxpayer money to rich people. Wisconsin Governor and Republican candidate for President, Scott Walker, wants to give some Wisconsin state taxpayer money to rich, billionaire basketball team owners. Apparently, according to a recent Washington Examiner article, Walker and other state politicians want to give a quarter-billion dollars in taxpayer money to the billionaire owners of the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, who are threatening to leave Wisconsin unless they get a new, subsidized basketball arena.

According to the article, the owners do not even live in the state but state politicians have negotiated a financial deal where state and local taxpayers would pay for half the cost of a new $500 million arena for the NBA team. The state would borrow $55 million to fund the arena, costing the state taxpayers $80 million over 20 years when interest is included. City and county governments would cover the rest.

Walker is claiming that this is a good $250 million investment and good use of taxpayer money for the local and state economies. But the article points out that it is nearly unanimous among economists that stadium subsidies do not pay for themselves, and the research suggests that losing a sports team doesn't hurt a city's economy:

• Economists Dennis Coates and Brad Humphreys: "Our conclusion, and that of nearly all academic economists studying this issue, is that professional sports generally have little, if any, positive effect on a city's economy."
• Economist Ray Keating: "The lone beneficiaries of sports subsidies are team owners and players."
• Examiner article: “One reason is the substitution effect: Milwaukeeans who have a basketball team will spend less money on other types of leisure. The money spent in and around the fancy new arena wouldn't have just sat under mattresses.”

If it is one thing American politicians like to do is give away our money, in this case to billionaire out of state basketball team owners. That will do it for today’s insanity, but more insanity sure to follow in the next few days, can hardly wait to see who our politicians give our taxpayer money to tomorrow.

December, 2014, Part 2, Politicians Say The Darndest Things: The Lies Of Obama, Better To Die From Smoke Than A Bullet, and Its Round Up Time

It’s the end of another year so I thought it might be a good idea to go back over the past twelve months and pull out some of the darndest quotes from members of the political class and their supporters. While the myth is that really smart people get involved with government and political office, in reality, based on the quotes of politicians we have brought to light over the past few years, the exact opposite is reality: we are currently served by a set of people that are shallow, selfish, and obviously incapable of having the mentality capacity or will to resolve the major issues facing the country. If they did have those attributes, one would have thought that the major issues facing us all, e.g. poor schools, leaky borders, high health care costs, etc. would have been resolved long ago.

To find previous reference to silly, inane, and stupid political quotes in this blog, just enter the phrase, “politicians say the darndest things,” in the search box above. As you will see, 2014 is not the only year that politicians have been putting their foot in their mouths and showing how incapable they are when it comes to governing and problem resolution.

1) Quote: “OK. I’m just going to come right out and say it: This is quite possibly the best minute and a half of audio we’ve ever come across — well, come across in a long time anyway. A massive brawl in Anchorage, Alaska, reportedly involving Sarah Palin’s kids and her husband. It was sparked after someone pushed one of her daughters at a party….And now police have released audio of that interview. It does include some rather colorful language from Bristol. Here now is Bristol’s recollection of how that night unfolded. So sit back and enjoy.” CNN anchor Carol Costello

Comment: A little more background on this quote and the referenced video. The colorful language occurs as a man is dragging Bristol Palin across the ground. Somehow, Ms. Costello thinks that this is hilariously funny, a small woman being physically dragged along the ground by her legs by a much larger man. 

CNN has been a member of the mainstream media who has covered up most of the Obama administration’s failures and lies. They readily bought into the propaganda that Republicans were carrying out a “war on woman.” 

But I guess it is okay to abuse women, drag them across the ground as long as they are not Democrats or liberals. Somehow, Costello and her bosses think this is “possibly the best minute and a half of audio we’ve ever come across.” I wonder if they would have had the same reaction if it was Chelsea Clinton or one of the Obama daughters being dragged across the ground. 

I seriously doubt it, their hypocrisy and biased reporting and attitudes are so obvious…and so sickening. No woman deserves this abuse or ridicule, Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative.

2) Quote: “And I would like to point out that Ambassador [Chris] Stevens was not murdered. He died of smoke inhalation in the safe room in that CIA installation.” Eleanor Clift.

Comments: Eleanor Clift has been a long time liberal writer and TV commentator. In this quote and the words that preceded them she is trying to get the Obama administration off of the hook for the disaster and murders at the Benghazi compound in Libya. As most know, terrorists attacked the U.S. compound on September 11, 2012, an attack that resulted in the deaths of four Americans, including Ambassador Stevens, and the near death of two dozen other abandoned Americans.

The reason that the Ambassador was in the safe room was because of the violent attacks. He probably would have been murdered with a terrorist bullet if he was not inside the safe room. To say it is okay that he was not murdered by a bullet but because of smoke inhalation, assuming that is even true, is little comfort to his family and friends. He is unnecessarily dead because of Obama administration incompetency. Trying to spin his death as smoke inhalation to make it more palatable and get the administration off of the hook is nothing more than a cover up for a bumbling administration.

3) Quote: “You know, I’m a Christian preacher, and God finally said, ‘Look, I can’t send nobody else. I got to go myself.’ And I ain’t saying that Obama is Jesus, but for many of his followers he is.” MSNBC Commentator Eric Dyson.

Comment: Comparing Jesus or God to this President is beyond comical and obscene. If Obama was truly God or Jesus I doubt his approval rating would be so low, and falling, and his programs and policies would be such failures. He would be healing the country not allowing his association with people like Al Sharpton to rip it apart. Trust me, Mr. Dyson, this President is neither omnipotent or effective.

4) Quote: The police “seem to be leading to rounding up and executing of [sic] us as a people … Does America want to have a race war?" African-American Councilwoman Anastasia Robertson from Troy, New York, posted on Facebook claiming that African-Americans are being rounded up and executed.

Comment: Do we really think that an African-American President. or any President, would allow black people to be rounded up and executed as she believes? Somehow she actually got elected to public office with such craziness as this. It is highly doubtful that powers to be are going to round up tens of millions of Americans and execute them. Beyond pathetic and comical.

5) The following is a roundup of 2014 Presidential quotes and lies that the media, including media outlets that generally support the President and overlook his failures and scandals, found so inaccurate and misleading that even they were moved to comment that they were lies, not reality.

- Quote: The President claims that Republicans filibustered over 500 pieces of legislation. 

Comments: Even on the surface this is apparently a deception or at least a gross exaggeration. Under Harry Reid, there were probably not even close to 500 pieces of legislation developed, never mind filibustered.

But let the Washington Post settle the question. According to the Post, the lie was so transparent that the Post noted that the President was referring to some pieces of legislation dating all the way back to when he was a Senator, including some votes against ending debate, votes that Obama himself made.

Quote: Obama claimed he never referred to ISIS as the JV team of terrorists.

Comment: The Washington Post also weighed in on this lie and quote. There so-called fact checker, Glenn Kessler, called it a top lie of the year when he was quoted in the Washington Free Beacon:

“I look at the issues that resonate with people and are big issues. So one of the major things was Barack Obama saying that he was not specifically referring to ISIS when he referred to a JV team.”

Kessler went on to say he actually he reviewed the New York Times transcript of Obama calling the Islamic State a “JV team,” and said “it was pretty clear” that Obama had lied.

- Quote: Obama claims that 7 million Americans got access to health care insurance and health care for the first time due to the Medicaid expansion within Obama Care.

Comments: The Washington Post reported that the 7 million people Obama claimed got health care insurance for the first time due to Medicaid expansion missed the mark by anywhere between 5.9 and 3.7 million people depending on estimates: “… here is the ultimate authority — the President of the United States — making the problematic claim that everyone counted under the administration’s Medicaid math is getting “access to health care for the first time.” He seems to be falling into the same trap as other Democrats, and some reporters, by assuming that everyone in the Medicaid list is getting health insurance for the first time because of the Affordable Care Act. But that number is nowhere close to 7 million.”

- Quote: Obama claims that his position on using executive actions on unilateral immigration reform ahs not changed over time: “Well, actually, my position hasn’t changed. When I was talking to the advocates, their interest was in me, through executive action, duplicating the legislation that was stalled in Congress. And getting a comprehensive deal of the sort that is in the Senate legislation, for example, does extend beyond my legal authorities. There are certain things I cannot do. There are certain limits to what falls within the realm of prosecutorial discretion in terms of how we apply existing immigration laws.”

Comments: Politifact’s research indeed found that Obama is “revising history” with his comments, and it’s “still a reversal from his positions over the past few years.”

When the Washington Post and Politifact cannot spin the Presidential lies enough to give them even a smidgen of truth, you know the Presidential lies and quotes are way over the line.

That will do it for this episode and update of politicians say the darndest things. A President who lies constantly, a member of the mainstream media who likes seeing a woman dragged across the ground by her legs, a liberal pundit who thinks it is okay that an ambassador was murdered by smoke inhalation and not a bullet, and a politician who thinks the government is rounding up tens of millions of Americans for execution. 

Politicians, and those who report on politicians, say the darndest things and that is the shame of what we are living through in Washington and other political stops around the country.
