April, 2020, Part 6, Political Class Insanity: More Examples Where Folks Like Nancy Pelosi and Joe Biden Really Don't Care About You At All

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) These are difficult times for tens of millions of Americans. Millions have lost their job due to the coronavirus crisis and are being challenged to pay their bills and feed their families. Obviously, this condition leads to depression and a feeling of helplessness. It is a time that requires leadership and compassion.

And most ordinary Americans are showing both traits. They are eating out more over tipping at restaurants that have been forced to do take out and delivery orders only. They are donating money to companies that are then redistributing that money to their laid off employees. They are writing checks to or volunteering at local food banks.

And then there is Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi purposely delayed the mailing out of economic relief checks to millions of Americans so that she could stuff unwanted, wasteful, and unneeded components into the stimulus legislation. She has successfully delayed aid to small businesses across the country which will likely result in a tsunami of small business failures and closures. She has contributed nothing positive to potential solutions to the crisis.

And then recently on national TV she rubbed all of her pettiness, lack of leadership and lack of compassion into every American’s face:

• Not staying in Washington to help out the country, she was back home in California in her sumptuous home to talk on late night television.
• While she should be in Washington working on solutions, she should have at least used the late night TV interview to discuss solutions, encourage Americans to hang in there and maybe for once show some sort of leadership.
• But no, during the interview on the Late Show, she decided to show off her very expensive refrigerators (yes, plural refrigerators) to America.
• Sources say these refrigerators cost over $20,000 and Pelosi was so proud to show them off, filled with gourmet ice cream.
• Yes, millions of Americans are struggling to feed themselves and their families and Pelosi is so proud of her expensive appliances and look, “I have tons of expensive gourmet ice cream to eat.”
• The ice cream she eats by the way costs over $12 a pint.
• Actor James Woods nicely summed up this lack of leadership and compassion: “Her two refrigerators together cost $24,000 for her specialty chocolate ice creams, but she hates the small business owners of America. “Let them eat cake.””
• Director Steve Guest had these observations: “While Nancy Pelosi sits in her ivory tower in San Francisco, eating $13 dollar a pint ice cream out of her $24,000 fridge, she is cheering on Democrats for blocking coronavirus relief aid that has so far been distributed to 1.3 million small businesses that is about to run out.”

Disgusting and repugnant behavior. She and the rest of Congress are sitting at home for the next month doing nothing, with her dining on gourmet ice cream, while small businesses fold up across the country, people wait in food lines to get basic food (never mind gourmet ice cream) and she apparently does not care. That is just evil, pure evil.

2) Let’s stay with the topic of leadership. True leaders unite people together in a common cause, be it in business, an athletic team, research, etc. They do not disparage members of the team, they do not call them names or insult them, they find common ground for the betterment of all. And obviously none of those traits exist in Washington DC where the current mode of operation is to destroy, malign, slander, and piss on anyone who has a different opinion than theirs.

And Joe Biden is no exception:

• Joe Biden is obviously on track to be the Democrats’ Presidential candidate.
• As such, one would hope that he for once could rise above petty and nasty politics and name and work on uniting the country.
• During a recent coronavirus forced virtual campaign rally, he basically called a lot of Trump supporters racists: “There are people who support the president because they like the fact that he is engaged in political division. They really support the notion that, you know, all Mexicans are rapists and all Muslims are bad and … dividing this nation based on ethnicity, race.”

Here we go again, if you do not agree with a liberal you must be a racist, so tiring. They still do not realize that Republicans and Independents did not get Trump elected. It was comments like these and thousands of other hate filled comments and slurs during the Obama administration from liberals in politics, the media and Hollywood that got Trump elected.

And Biden is repeating the same mistakes that got Trump elected in the first place. If you are a liberal and do not believe me, go to the following link, answer the questions posed, and I bet that you too also sat silent when Republican women were being called sluts, whores, and needed to be hate raped. I would bet that you sat silent when those of us that had viable and logical disagreements with Obama policies were called Nazis, racists, ignorant, and other demeaning names. 

Because if you sat silent when your friends, neighbors and co-workers were being bashed and being called all kinds of horrorific names, then you and Biden and other liberals are the real reason Trump got elected:

3) Staying with Joe Biden, he continues to spout what appears to be incoherent gibberish. Over the past few months we have discussed the many times where he has stated nonsense, where he does not know where he physically is, where he cannot put together two coherent sentences in a row. It is our opinion that he is in severe cognitive decline and it is a form of elder abuse to keep putting him forward as a candidate for a job he clearly no longer has the mental facilities to handle.

Consider the following statements he made in an interview on the coronavirus. His logic stream is non-existent, his incoherency is staggered and stuttering and somehow, unbelievably, he tries to tie the corona virus to fighting climate change. Trust me, millions of Americans who have just lost their jobs, who are having trouble feeding their families, could not give a hoot about climate change in this environment of fear. 

And for Biden to even think about linking the crisis with climate change is either idiocy and cognitive decline on his part or like Pelosi, someone who does not care about Americans. 

• “One of the things that I think that we keep coming back to, and I’ve spent this morning talking to the docs that used to work with Sanjay in our last administration and heads of other entities that a, um, you know, it gets down to testing, it’s about testing, tracing, and treatment. And so, we’re way behind on the testing piece and I don’t quite, I don’t quite understand why we’re taking so long to do the kinds of things that have to be done.”
• “You know, there’s a uh, during World War II, uh, you know, where Roosevelt came up with a thing uh, that uh, you know, was totally different than a, than the, the, it’s called, he called it the, you know, the World War II, he had the war the War Production Board. I don’t know why we don’t set up something like a pandemic production board.”
• “One last thing, look, Anderson, you and I have talked about this. We have an opportunity now to take in a recovery act, a real recovery, we can fundamentally change the science relating to global warming and we can create, seriously create, 10 million good paying jobs, we can do it, it’s within our power to do it.”

Total gibberish, totally out of touch, total lack of compassion for those suffering. Typical political class insanity.

These people in DC are so out of touch with reality and the pain and agony that their lack of compassion and lack of leadership cause Americans and small businesses across the country.

June, 2017, Part 8, Political Class Insanity: CNN Rigs The News and Illinois Enters Into Financial Hell

As we do every month, we review the latest idiocy, lunacy, ineptness, and general insanity from the American political class. We are getting started as little late this month since we needed to review the latest global warming.climate change insanity from the likes of Al Gore, culminating in our review of the 26 reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for Trump to pull us out of the Paris Climate Agreement:

But let’s quickly get into this month’s political class insanity because over the past month or so there has been a lot of it was Washington implodes into a useless pile of incompetence:

1) While the political class has done very little to protect and enhance our freedoms over recent years, the so-called free press in this country have not done much to enhance freedom and truth either. We have previously reported on how the free press has become just as corrupt, just as partisan and just as useless as the political class when it comes to truth in reporting and high integrity journalism:

It seems nothing has changed since these posts from last September, at least when it comes to CNN, which was once known as Cable New Network and then became the Clinton news network while the unabashedly campaigned for a Hillary Clinton victory and they have no further degenerated down into simply the Comedic News Network:

• According to Kristie McDonald, writing for the eHeadlines website on June 11, 2017, CNN in England was caught setting up a fake news story shortly after the latest terror attack in that country.
• CNN personnel were on the streets of London for what they wanted to make look like an anti-terror protest, led by Muslims apparently to show that not all Muslims are sympathetic to Islamic terror attacks.
• But thanks to the reality that everyone with a smartphone also has a video camera, video footage taken by regular people, and posted on YouTube, showed how CNN personnel were staging the rally, not reporting on the rally.
• The person shooting the video reports that there are “more press than anyone else.”
• The Muslim women supposedly protesting the terror attacks were getting their posters and flowers from the CNN personnel, i.e. this was a staged protest for the CNN cameras not a real protest.
• Once the women get their CNN provided props, they cross the street for the filming of this “news” story.

When corrupt politicians lie and cheat and have no integrity, it has always been the important responsibility of the news media and press to call them out on their lies and shenanigans. When the pores are the ones creating false truths and trying to influence views rather than report on facts and realities, our democracy is in very sad place, thanks in this instance of heinous reporting to the Comedic News Network.

2) Earlier in this month’s insanity series we reported on how state politicians around the country have so badly screwed up the fiscal integrity of their state’s financial situation, allowing state governments’ unfunded liabilities to soar well over $1 TRILLION. The obvious conclusion is that politicians around the country, be they at the state, local, or Federal level have no ability, no will, or no knowledge on how to operate an effective budget process, incurring $20 TRILLION in debt at the Federal level and trillions of dollars in debt at the state, county and local level.

And at some point these financial insanities will come home to roost. It will then require state government to raise taxes, cut benefits, or eventually declare bankruptcy, all options that are ugly but highly likely to be unavoidable.

And the leading indicator in that race to fiscal ugliness, according to Nancy Hayes, writing for the Joe For America website on June 19 2017, is the state government of Illinois:

• According to a recent comment by an Illinois state government official, “We are in massive crisis mode, this is not a false alarm.”
• The state government has over $15 billion in unpaid bills on this books.
• The state government has not had a budget in three years.
• It is likely to be the first state government to have its bonds downgraded to junk quality in the very near future.
• A judge recently ruled that the state government is in violation of its own consent decrees and previous judicial orders, putting further pressure on its shaky financial situation.
• In desperation, the governor recently ordered the state legislature back into session to address the financial mess, telling everyone “to get serious and get to work.”
• As with the financial and heaving taxation and regulatory mess in California, people are leaving the state of Illinois with 22,000 leaving in 2015 alone.
• In Chicago, the epicenter of bad fiscal planning by local politicians, over 6,000 people left that city in 2015.
• The Tax Foundation claims that the state of Illinois has some of the highest property tax and other taxes in the nation, probably a leading factor in why both residents and businesses are leaving Illinois for better tax treatment elsewhere, causing Illinois to have 90,000 fewer manufacturing jobs today than in 2008.
• Chief Executive magazine ranked Illinois 48th out of 50 states relative to the ease of doing business in Illinois with taxation ranking the state as 50th out of 50.
• And as if the $15 billion in unpaid bills today is not enough of a headache, the unfunded pension liabilities of the state retirement systems is over $111 billion.

Given the sad state of financial affairs, the already high taxes, the out migration of residents and businesses because of the high taxes, what do Democrats in the legislature want to do? You guessed it, raise taxes. Let’s just throw another few gallons of gas on that fiscal fire, idiots. I what you have been doing for decades got you to where you are today a disaster, why would you want to continue to the same thing over and over again, raise taxes?

It is usually at this point where we cite our favorite Einstein quote: “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.” And the fiscal ineptness of Illinoi politicians have gotten them the following insanity distinction relative to the rest of the country:

What does it look like when a government and the politicians that operate it have no idea how to operate a fiscally sound budget? It looks like today in Illinois:

• The state Transportation Department will stop any and all road work by July 1 unless budget conditions change.
• The Powerball lottery system may dump the state out of its system since the state cannot and has not paid lottery winners for a while now.
• If the state is judicially forced to pay out what was settled in previous court cases and consent decrees, within a few weeks, the state will be paying out more in payments than it receives in revenue, leaving no money for schools, domestic violence shelters, ambulance services, etc.
• State Comptroller Susan Mendoza, the government official responsible for managing the state government’s cash flow and financials said it best:“I don’t know what part of ‘We are in massive crisis mode’ the General Assembly and the governor don’t understand. This is not a false alarm.” 

What a flipping, political insanity mess. And keep in mind that a lot of this problem developed while the economy was in a growth mode over the past eight years. Imagine what happens when the next recession sets in and Illinois has fewer taxpayer and fewer businesses to offset the recession’s impacts. 

Truly insane but quite possibly coming to a state or Federal government to you very soon. Illinois is the proverbial canary in the coal mine, a coal mine that Federal and other politicians have dug for us all.

That will do it for today’s insanity. Very sad, very depressing, very pathetic and very dangerous: politicians screwing our financial state and CNN screwing up our freedom of the press state. More insanity to follow.

Politicians Say The Darndest Things...Unfortunately - Inane Quotes and Thoughts From Today's Political Class

On a semi-regular basis we run a post or two under the theme, “Politicians Say The Darndest Things.” It is a theme stolen from an old television show, House Party, that was hosted by Art Linkletter and which contained a segment called “Kids Say The Darndest Things.” That show was cute and funny, our version of politicians saying the stupidest and most inane things would also be funny if they were not in charge of the government in this country. Instead, we should be very scared that these are the people in charge.

Previous memorable quotes from politicians we have covered include the following topics:

• A Georgia Congressman wondered out loud in the middle of a Congressional committee hearing if the island of Guam might actually tip over.
• A Texas Congresswoman wanted to know if a MARS Rover mission would be driving by the place where Neil Armstrong landed on the MOON.
• The Speaker of the House Of Representatives said that we had to pass the Obama Care legislation in order to see what is in it. Yes, why bother reading a proposed law BEFORE you vote on it.
• A state politician in North Carolina wanted to know how many women die every year from prostate cancer during a state government hearing on Obama Care. 

Scary stuff, yes these people are in charge. Let’s take a look at what the latest blather from the American political class has been recently spoken:

1) Florida Congresswoman Corrine Brown was recently indicted on 24 Federal criminal charges. These charges revolve around an alleged fake charity her and her office manager ran that resulted in the two of them collecting money for the educational charity and then using the money for their own pleasure rather than awarding scholarships. If convicted on all charges, she could face up to 300 years in jail.

She really had two unbelievable quotes that need to be called out. Her first quote was: “Last week was very rough. Two black men were needlessly gunned down by police; five Dallas police officers were slain by a demented man; and on Friday I had to appear in federal court.” Yes, going to court is totally equivalent to two black men being killed and five Dallas police officers being ambushed and killed. Totally on the same level of importance….Not!

Her second quote pertained to her 24 count indictment that came about after an extensive FBI investigation: “These are the same agents that was not able to do a thorough investigation of [Omar Mateen, the terrorist shooter], and we ended up with 50 people dead.” Her attorney, Elizabeth White doubled down on this stupid quote: “Perhaps had it [the FBI] chosen to devote its resources more thoughtfully, 50 innocent people would be alive today.” So, in her mind, the FBI could have saved lives if they had just ignored her paltry 24 alleged felonies. Shame on the FBI, shame! 

Hey, Congresswoman Brown, maybe if you were not possibly breaking the law at just about every opportunity, maybe the FBI could have been looking at potential terrorists. Instead, they were upholding the law against people like you that were totally disrespecting it for your own personal enjoyment and enrichment. You are the reason the FBi was not deployed elsewhere. Following your perverted logic, you are the reason those people died in the club in Orlando.

2) It is no secret that Hillary Clinton set up her own email computer server in a closet in her home while Secretary of State, totally and secretly bypassing the Federal government’s rules, protocols, and procedures for keeping secret and sensitive government information safe and secure. As a result, the FBI launched an extensive investigation that showed among other things that she was “careless” in using her own non-secure computer server to handle highly sensitive and secret government communications. The FBI Director also concluded, after his FBI experts and investigators looked deeply into the whole sordid affair, that simple Gmail email accounts had better security than Hillary’s private home server.

Despite the experts at the FBI and their long, deep investigation, a Democratic Congresswoman seems to think that she knows best. Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren sloughed off conclusions from FBI Director James Comey that Clinton’s email procedures were “extremely careless” and were possibly compromised by cyber attacks from hostile forces. 

But the Congresswoman apparently has a better handle on computer security: “Certainly we know from press reports that the official State Department email account was the subject of the worst ever cyber intrusion of any federal agency. What we don’t know is whether her communications on her private email was actually more secure than had she used the State Department email system.”

Yes, a computer server in Hillary’s closet is more secure than a computer server being protected by the best the Federal government can give. If that actually is the case, contradicting the expertise of the entire FBI, than this country is in a lot worse shape than anyone can imagine.

3) Let’s review a little radical Islamic terrorism history before we go to the next quote:

• Radical Islamic terrorists carried out the first World Trade Center bombing.
• Radical Islamic terrorists were responsible for the 9-11 attacks.
• Radical Islamic terrorists blew a hole in the U.S.S. Cole Navy ship.
• Radical Islamic terrorists were responsible for the last three terror attacks, the only three terror attacks, in France over the past year or so.
• Radical Islamic terrorists carried out the Brussels terrorist attack.
• The San Bernardino, Orlando, Tennessee, and the multitude of other domestic terror attacks that happened on Obama’s watch were done by radical Islamic terrorists.
• The recent attack on Turkey’s airport was done by radical Islamic terrorists.
• The many attacks in Iraq which killed hundreds of people were done by radical Islamic terrorists.
• The enslaving, butchering, and sexual abuse of non-Muslims in the Middle East was done by radical Islamic terrorists.
• The brutal executions of homosexuals in the Middle East were done by radical Islamic terrorists.
• An Israeli study found that at least 450 of the 452 terrorist attacks in 2015 were executed by Islamic terrorists.

In light of these realities, consider an amazing quote from president Obama: “Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance.”

Pardon me if you call me “skeptical” at that statement. I am sure the vast majority of Muslims are just ordinary, non-violent folks. But really, Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance? I would like to see his proof of that tolerance position. Hillary Clinton apparently shares his view: “Let’s be clear: Islam is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”

But let’s use some real world numbers to show and see if these two views are in touch with reality, courtesy of the Eagle Rising website:

• 83 percent of Palestinian Muslims, 62 percent of Jordanians and 61 percent of Egyptians approve of jihadist attacks on Americans. World Public Opinion Poll(2009).
• 1.5 Million British Muslims support the Islamic State, about half their total population. ICM (Mirror) Poll 2015.
• Two-thirds of Palestinians support the stabbing of Israeli civilians. Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research (2015).
• 45 percent of British Muslims agree that clerics preaching violence against the West represent “mainstream Islam.” BBC Radio (2015).
• 38 percent of Muslim-Americans say Islamic State (ISIS) beliefs are Islamic or correct. The Polling Company CSP Poll (2015).
• One-third of British Muslim students support killing for Islam. Center for Social Cohesion (Wikileaks cable).
• 78 percent of British Muslims support punishing the publishers of Muhammad cartoons. NOP Research.
• 80 percent of young Dutch Muslims see nothing wrong with holy war against non-believers. Most verbalized support for pro-Islamic State fighters. Motivaction Survey (2014).
• 68 percent of British Muslims support the arrest and prosecution of anyone who insults Islam. NOP Research.
• 81 percent of Muslim respondents support the Islamic State (ISIS). Al-Jazeera poll (2015).

You decide, who is right, Obama and Clinton or real world polls and attitudes. I say, politicians say the darndest, and most out of touch, things.

So we now know that the Orlando club terrorist attack could have been prevented if the FBI had not been wasting time on a corrupt Congresswoman, that another Congresswoman thinks that an unsecured computer server in Hillary’s closet was more secure than anything the Federal government could provide, and Obama's and Clinton's words seem to put them at odds with reality. Yes, politicians say the darndest things...unfortunately.

The Obama Era, Part 6 - Memories From The Worst Presidency Ever?

Late last year I thought it might be a good time to review everything that I remember about the Obama administration. He has been in office for seven years, seven long years that in my opinion have been horrific in so many ways. This was someone who entered office with approval ratings that were above 70% and who represented the so-called“hope and change” that many Americans were seeking.

This theme unexpectedly took four days to cover, that is how many failures, lies, threats, and narcissism of this President. The first post can be accessed at:

Seven years later hope has become very scarce and change has almost always been for the worst. Now, before someone says that I am just a sour grapes Republican, conservative, or neo-con, understand that I have never voted for a Republican for President in my life (I started voting in the 1970s). Up until 2010, I had never voted for Republican for national office in my life. I fully support gay rights and respect a woman’s legal right to an abortion. Thus, none of what you are about to read over the next few days comes from a Republican sour grapes perspective.

But unless you have had completely had your head in the sand or elsewhere, this has been the worst Presidency that I have experienced in my lifetime. From horrid legislation (e.g. Obama Care) to a failed foreign policy (e.g. Syria) to daily lawlessness on the part of this administration (e.g. use of unsecured email accounts by high ranking administration members), the ineptness and ineffectiveness of this administration is mind boggling.

So what else will I remember from this Presidency in addition to the horror stories and disasters we already talked about, starting with the link listed above:

- I will remember this President continually telling me that Islam is totally good even though 450 out of 452 suicide bomber incidents worldwide last year were executed by Muslim suicide bombers.

- I will remember this President continually telling me that Islam is totally good even though Islamic radicals were responsible for the USS Cole bombing, the U.S. embassy bombings in Africa, the first World Trade Center attack, the second World Trade Center attack, the nightclub attacks in Bali, the recent attack in Paris, the mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, the armed services recruitment center attacks in Tennessee, the Fort Hood terror attack, the enslavement of women and children across the Middle East, the kidnapping and enslavement of children in Nigeria, the killing of homosexuals across the Middle East for simply being gay, etc.

- I will remember this President attending an Islamic mosque in Baltimore but attending any Christian churches or Jewish synagogues.

- I will remember how this President continues to insist that Muslims have been woven into the fabric of this country from the beginning but never provides any examples of great/epic Muslim Americans, probably because there are not any.

- I will remember this President issuing a Tweet on the White House Twitter account that had a picture of him throwing a football on Super Bowl Sunday as if he has any football ability.

- I will remember an Israeli public opinion poll that showed how very little respect the Israeli citizens have for this Presidency vs. previous Presidencies.

- I will remember how this Presidency illegally and secretly purged DHS ISIS files to hide the truth of how dangerous the ISIS movement is to Americans’ safety.

- I will remember how despite the reality that this Presidency will double the national debt in just eight years, by incurring a whopping $10 TRILLION in debt, and how the Federal government under this President continues to lose at least $600 billion a year from fraud and incompetence, this President still wants to raise taxes in 2017 and NOT cut spending.

- I will remember how this President became the first President ever to be sued in order to find out how much the American taxpayer actually has paid for his lavish and frequent vacations.

- I will remember how this Presidency was so lame in managing and enforcing our immigration laws that 500,000 foreign visitors overstayed their visa requirements in 2015.

- I will remember how this President illegally and unilaterally exempted the White House Office of Administration from Freedom Of Information Act requests.

I will remember a lot about this Presidency, almost all of it very forgettable, regrettable and often disgusting. And unfortunately, I will still have more bad memories to review tomorrow.
