Let's get started:
1) We are not fans of any politician and especially those that abuse their office for personal financial gain (which is probably just about all of them.) But no one ever has done such a great, efficient and unethical job than Bill and Hillary Clinton. Through their money laundering, shakedown operation called the Clinton Foundation, they have made themselves richer than anyone can imagine, given that these two only worked in government jobs their entire life.
But Hillary’s greed and unethical behaviors seems to have no limits as a recent Washington Free Beacon article pointed out:
- As the article by Joe Schoffstall on May 14, 2018 points out, Hillary Clinton indirectly sent herself $150,000 in leftover Presidential campaign funds.
- The way she did it was to send the money to a limited liability company that she established to manage her book and speaking income.
- According to the article: “Clinton registered ZFS Holdings LLC, a Delaware-based LLC, on Feb. 8, 2013, just days after leaving the State Department, records filed with the Delaware Division of Corporations show. Later, in April 2014, paperwork was filed with New York State's Department of State.”
- The first payment to ZFS of just under $33,000 was made May 4, 2017, six months after the election was over.
- That payment and the following payments were designated as “rent” which is a funny way to describe managing book and speaking income...unless you are trying to hide something.
- The rules for disposing of leftover campaign cash are pretty loose according to experts but in no case are leftover campaign supposed to be used for personal use, a rule/law that Clinton likely broke with paying someone to manage her cash flow, seems pretty personal to me.
- If she did break the law and used the campaign cash for personal use, then she faces fines and/or jail time.
- According to Cleta Mitchell, a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Foley & Lardner LLP, "The only disbursements allowed for the Clinton or any other losing campaign are for winding down the campaign. So the question is whether this is really for rent or whether the payments are to this entity for other types of work for Hillary, which would be personal use if it isn’t specifically tied to the winding down of the campaign. Personal use is illegal under federal campaign finance law. There are a number of questions that need to be answered to ensure that the campaign is using leftover campaign funds for a legally, permissible purpose."
- Further proving a violation of Federal law, the Clinton campaign NEVER made any “rent” payments to ANY entity during the campaign, a time when a rent expense may have actually been a legit expense.
2) Recently Donald Trump correctly pulled us out of Obama’s inane nuclear weapons agreement with Iran. It was a stupid and unacceptable agreement from the start and did not nothing to deter the Iranian rulers from spreading terrorism around the world or ending their nuclear development program. And yet, Obama, Secretary of State John Kerry and other nations agreed to this idiotic plan anyway.
And now we may know why.Ever since Trump pulled the U.S. out of the agreement, John Kerry has been traveling the world bad mouthing Trump and the decision. We have already discussed this effort by Kerry and how he almost definitely violated an existing Federal law known as the Logan Act. Most people thought that he was trying to save his legacy by keeping as much of the agreement in place as possible.
But we now know why Kerry and the other signers of the agreement are not so anxious to do what Trump did, i.e. scrap the agreement. According to a public statement by Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaberi Ansari, if other countries pull out of the agreement the Iranian government will tell the world the names of government officials from those countries who accepted bribes from the Iranians for their agreement to the deal: “If Europeans stop trading with Iran and don’t put pressure on US then we will reveal which western politicians and how much money they had received during nuclear negotiations to make #IranDeal happen.”
What is interesting is that since the statement and threat were made, no one in any European government has denied this potential reality. If it was me and I knew I did not take a bribe, I would call the Iranians bluff. Since no one has, it would seem to indicate that indeed, at least European diplomats and officials, and possibly U.S. diplomats, had taken bribes for self enrichment to the detriment of the rest of the world’s danger from a nuclear armed Iran.
If true, it kind of makes Hillary’s grab for $150,00 with no nuclear danger associated with her “rent” actions look kind of meager. Stay tuned.
3) We have previously reported how London is facing a massive crime wave driven by criminals and crooks and terrorists using knives. The situation has gotten so bad and the carnage so high that London now has a murder rate higher than New York City despite the fact that virtually no one in England and London is allowed to have and carry a gun. Instead, the bad guys just switched over to knives.
So what actions is the London mayor taking to keep his people from getting wounded or killed by the knife epidemic? He recently issued an mayoral order that would prohibit the advertising of fast food in the London transit system. Yes, Londoners are getting stabbed and attacked by knife wielding criminals at any alarming and increasing rate and he is worried and focused on the city’s eating habits.
According to the Guardian: “Junk food adverts are to be banned from London’s tube and bus network by Sadiq Khan, the city’s mayor, in an attempt to curb an epidemic of childhood obesity. Ads that promote foods and drinks that are high in salt, fat and sugar will no longer be accepted on tubes, buses and overground trains that are part of the Transport for London (TfL) network – nor in stations. The ban is currently out to consultation.”
Look, I am all for eating healthy and attacking obesity. But I am not sure that banning a few ads in the subway is the way to go and anyway, maybe the mayor should fix the knife crime rate first before tackling obesity. Or more likely, he has no idea how to tackle the knife crime rate and needs to find something that will divert his constituents focus off of what he cannot do onto something that does not matter at least in the short term.
According to the mayor: “I’m determined to do all I can to tackle this issue with the powers I have and help Londoners make healthy food choices for themselves and their families.” Maybe he should be more determined and more focused on saving their lives today from knife wielding animals.
That will do it for today’s insanity and also for this month’s version of political class insanity: As we often have seen, politicians worry about inconsequential stuff because they are unwilling or unable to tackle the real issues facing their voters and politicians around the world are greedy, selfish, and small minded creatures who only care about themselves and their personal enrichment. More insanity sure to follow next month.
