Let’s get started:
1) It is my personal opinion that the Democratic party now cares more about illegal immigrants than they do about American citizens. A lot of Washington Democrats went down to the border to protest the alleged and false mistreatment of illegal immigrants that got caught illegally entering the country. But none of them appear to have gone to Los Angeles to help out the tens of thousands of homeless Americans wandering the streets. City mayors and some governors go to great lengths and break the law to protect illegal immigrant criminals from the Federal government but care little about helping Americans who are in need.
And recent actions by Democrats in the House of Representatives did not nothing to tell me differently:
- Democrats not only recently passed a piece of legislation that helps out illegal immigrants but they fast tracked its passage.
- The legislation would set up within 90 days an electronic medical records system that would specifically and only serve illegal immigrants.
- But you see, American veterans have been seeking the same type of system for years to better serve the medical needs of veterans but the Democrats would rather fast track this process to help illegal immigrants, veterans be damned.
- The American Military News reported that the legislation was passed mostly along party lines, Democrats voting for it, Republicans voting against it.
- The legislation requires the Department of Homeland Security to set up an electronic records system within 90 days of passage, if it ever gets enacted which is doubtful, to track and provide information to Congress on the health of illegal immigrants that are caught illegally entering the country.
- Republican Congressman Mark Walker captured the insanity of helping illegal immigrants and neglecting our veterans: “Earlier this week, I said impeachment was the House Democrats only agenda. I was mistaken. They just passed legislation that will give illegal immigrants better health care records than our veterans and service members. More and more they are making their priorities clear and it’s absolutely shameful. The Veterans Administration (VA) will not have similar electronic health records systems in place for nine years and the Department of Defense (DOD) will not have those systems for another five years.”
- A Republican proposal to amend the legislation to provide the same, not better, the same, capacity for veterans was defeated by House Democrats.
- In an added piece of insanity, the House Democrats did not provide any funding for this effort which means Department of Homeland Security funds that normally would have been used to defend the country and protect Americans will be reduced to fund this effort.
2) Our view is that the Obama administration was one of the most law breaking, scandalous administrations in recent history. Besides not accomplishing anything of consequence, the scandals were many and varied. We documented many of them in the following post:
And yet Joe Biden continues to insist that the Obama administration was “scandal free.” Which brings us to our constant philosophical question: is he that much of a liar that he thinks we are so stupid and believe his lies or does he somehow really think that there were no scandals, is he that much out of touch with reality? Biden recently proclaimed to a New Hampshire voter that, “The thing I’m proudest of with Barack and me is that there were no scandals.”
Hey, Joe, what about:
- Fast and Furious - an illegal gun running operation that was not only a violation of U.S. and international laws but which used taxpayer money to put guns in the hands of Mexican drug cartel members, guns that ultimately ended up killing dozens if not hundreds of Mexican citizens and at least one U.S. Border Patrol agent.
- The weaponizing of the IRS to shred the First Amendment rights of millions of Americans.
- The cover up and lies following the Benghazi terrorist attack where the Obama administration claimed that an obscure YouTube video caused the attack when everyone in the Obama administration knew it was a pre-planned, precision terrorist attack.
- Allowing Hillary Clinton to maintain and use an unsecured email server in her home, in violation of government guidelines and laws, which allowed foreign interests to gain access to government secrets stored and transmitted through that server.
- Ignoring Hezbollah’s international drug running operation to placate Iran and get the ill fated and stupid nuclear weapons agreement with Tehran.
- The Iranian deal itself which was done in secret with likely law breaking concessions made to the most terror prone government in the world.
- Releasing five high value, dangerous Taliban leaders for a single Army deserter.
- Shredding the Fourth Amendment by conducting massive data collection and spying on most Americans’ electronic communications.
- Allowing the rise of ISIS by assuming they were the “JV team” of terrorists when in reality they were the most vicious, heartless terrorist group of all time.
- Wiretapping and spying on journalists, violating the First Amendment.
- Allowing the Veterans Administration to operate a totally inefficient health care operation which likely resulted in the deaths of an untold number of veterans due to very long wait times.
3) Trump and Republicans often get accused of being racist, often when liberals and Democrats do not get their way on an issue. Rather than discuss the pros and cons around an issue and deal with facts when they do not get their way, they revert to name calling tirades and calling their opponents racists. Which is really sad and disgusting since the continual use and misuse of the term “racist” degrades the real racism that minorities have faced over the years. When everything is racist, nothing is racist.
This behavior was demonstrated again by one of the most hateful and profane new members of Congress, Rashida Tlaib:
- Despite having no authority to do so, Tlaib told the Detroit police department that they have to hire only African Americans in their facial recognition department.
- Her reasoning is that white people cannot tell the difference when it comes to identifying African American faces, only other African Americans can accurately identify other African Americans.
- Never mind that computer software does most of the work when it comes to facial recognition, it is not like there is someone holding up two photos to the light to make the recognition.
- Her reasoning is absurd, especially if you take it to the limit: should there be an Asian on the Detroit police facial recognition unit to recognize only Asian faces, should there be a native American on the staff in case there is a Native American id needed, etc.
- Which leads us to conclude that this insanity is also likely a violation of the Civil Rights Act since that act made it a crime to discriminate on the basis of race, something she is clearly calling for, thus she is the racist under the Civil Rights Act.
- And finally, it does not appear that she presented any research, her racist view aside, that would justify such an inherent trait of white people.
- Can you imagine the liberal and Democratic uproar if Trump had made this distinction, that white people cannot tell the difference among African Americans?
- Of all the problems in the country, millions of Americans are homeless and/or hungry, tens of thousands of Americans die every year from drug addiction, Social Security and Medicare are going bankrupt, our bridges and roads are falling apart, etc., this national politician weighs in on a local, stupid, and incredibly minor non-issue in one city. Talk about bad priorities.
