July, 2020, Part 3, Political Class Insanity: Voters Worried That Biden Is Not Up To The Task and More Political Stupidity From The Defunding The Police Mania

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

To review past posts on this insanity and idiocy, just click on the first few posts in each month listed to the right of this page. After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) We have often given examples showing how Joe Biden no longer has the cognitive ability to be President of the United States. He has trouble communicating his thoughts, he drifts away in the middle of conversations and interviews, he forgets where he physically is, he threatens verbal and physical attacks on others, etc. He needs some serious mental help and to put him out as a candidate for President and the tremendous stress and strain it causes is a form of elder abuse.

And it seems that many voters are finally understanding how serious this situation is:

• The Restoration PAC recently conducted a poll among people in several so-called battleground states.
• Note: as we know from the 2016 election, most polls back then were totally useless in predicting results, usually because those conducting the polls biased the results, the sample sizes, or sample composition to get the answers they wanted, and thus, I am not claiming this poll is any better.
• However, the results are consistent with the obvious reality in that Joe Biden is having serious cognitive problems and should not be running for any political office.
• Voters in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan were asked the same question: “Do you believe Joe Biden is fully up to the task mentally and physically to handle the duties of president of the United States?”
• A whopping 40.2% of voters in Michigan did not think he was up to the task, with just over 50% saying he was up to the task of being President.
• In Wisconsin, 42.2% did not think he was up to the task.
• In Pennsylvania, 45% said he was not up to the task.
• Thus, across these three states, about half of those polled did not think he was up to the task or were not sure.

Given what we have talked about and observed, these results are not surprising. What is surprising is that the political class, in this case liberals and Democrats, continue to expose him to ridicule and stress when he should be getting care. It is a form of elder abuse and it is despicable.

2) In our previous post we discussed the reality that big city liberal politicians are kowtowing to the whole, inane “defund the police” movement and are rushing to satisfy what I believe is a very small, but very vocal, minority of Americans living in those cities. They are disrespecting the police and the tremendous efforts they provide to serve and protect citizens and in the process, are trying to outdo themselves in how much budget and functionality they can sap from their police departments.

In many previous posts, we have discussed the violence and rampaging death that has plagued Chicago for years. This violence has killed thousands of mostly African American residents of the city, has wounded thousands more, and every local and state politician in the state of Illinois has done nothing to fix the problem and reduce the carnage. 

Let one African American person in Minneapolis suffer a horrible death at the hands of renegade police officers and Chicago and Illinois politicians go crazy. Kill a dozen people a week in Chicago and all you get are crickets and inaction from these same politicians. 

These politicians have no idea or plan on how to operate better schools, better police the community, provide opportunities for everyone in the city from an economic, financial, or service perspective. And now these folks in Chicago,and other big cities, want to reduce the police force in the face of rampaging violence. Consider the latest carnage:

• Six kids in Chicago were shot dead in a single week through no fault of their own.
• The kids ranged in age from one year old to ten years old.
• Some of them were killed while inside their home, not on the streets.

But there were no Black Lives Matter street protests. There were no NFL football players kneeling on the street corners where these kids and adults were killed and wounded. Nancy Pelosi was not present to rage against the carnage. Apparently Oprah did not make an appearance. CNN did not have a news crew on site. Politicians were nowhere to be found or seemed to care. Thousands die and are wounded and no one cares. 

All of these national protests, all of these statues being pulled down, all of the downtown areas being taken over by anarchists, and none of these actions made a Chicago kid safer, gave a Baltimore kid a better education, helped a black businessperson revive their business in the burnt out wreckage that is Minneapolis or provided a much needed meal to a hungry Brooklyn kid. Useless actions in the face of serious problems and politicians are too vain, too inept, or too heartless to care.

3) Enough with the emotion and passion, let’s look at some more numbers on how stupid it is for politicians to defund police departments without having a replacement plan, a continuation of the analysis and numbers we started in the previous post:

• Keep in mind as we discussed above, Chicago politicians want to reduce the police force’s budget and operational capability in the city.
• Over a recent weekend, 14 residents of Chicago were killed and 104 were shot and wounded.
• If this carnage rate continues it would make Chicago the most violent and dangerous city in the world.
• For a comparison, it would be more violent than the drug cartel infested cities in Mexico of Juarez and Tijuana and even more violent than Aleppo, Syria which is in the center of a civil war.
• That same weekend there were 24 shootings in New York City, one per hour on average, the worst level of violence in decades in the city.
• Remember that the local city Democrats recently and drastically cut the NYC police department budget.
• Recall that in June anarchists took over the center of Seattle and called itself the country of CHAZ. 
• Part of the takeover was a protest against the city police department.
• Within three days of the takeover there were three fatal shootings which is a lot since CHAZ has very small geographic footprint (a five block radius) and very small population so that the homicide rate per capita is extremely high.
• Before it was finally shut down, CHAZ already had attained the dubious distinction of being the sixth deadliest city in the country and was on track to be the deadliest city in the country, hardly the peaceful utopia its adherents promised when it kicked the local government and police out of the area.

Again, are there bad cops out there on the street? Yes. Do you defund and demoralize your entire police force and decivilize an entire city because of it, causing crime, violence and death to skyrocket? Apparently you do if you are a big city, liberal politician who values sound bites over solutions, reelection over common sense.

So, in summary, a lot of voters are worried about Joe Biden’s cognitive capabilities while big city, liberal mayors proved their cognitive abilities are already compromised, causing death and violence to rain down on their voters and citizens.
