It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) The political debate in this country has gotten very, very nasty over these past few decades. Rather than debate issues based on facts and like adults, politicians today, and many of their supporters do not debate, they only attack anyone who dares to deviate from their line of thinking. It is my observation and opinion, that Democrats and liberals are the worst when it comes to attack politics instead of debate and resolving politics.

In fact, one of most popular past posts addressed this tendency and reality directly. It laid out the outrageous, venomous, and hateful things that Democrats and liberals called other Americans during the Obama years. It makes a very strong case that Republicans and Independents did not get Trump elected, Democrats and liberals got Trump elected. Many non-liberals got so fed up with the childish and hateful things liberals in politics, the media and entertainment were calling those with a different opinion that they voted for Trump out of spite. They wanted someone who listened to them and not berate and curse them.

Well, it seems that Michigan liberals and Democrats have learned nothing from the Trump experience and election:

• Michigan State Representative Karen Whitsett unfortunately caught the coronavirus.
• Fortunately, she recovered from the virus.
• It was her experience and opinion that her life was likely saved because of a drug she took, hydroxycloroquine.
• This was a drug that Trump had pointed out that may have some properties that would be useful in the fight against the coronavirus.
• This was the drug that Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer criticized Trump about but shortly afterwards turned around and tried to get the drug for her constituents in Michigan.
• Ms. Whitsett had an opinion, an opinion based on a scary encounter with a scary disease, an opinion that should be respected.
• But that is not the case with her fellow politicians in the Democratic party in the state legislature in Michigan.
• Her fellow Democrats are thinking about putting forth a resolution condemning her for daring to have an opinion of Trump that differs from theirs and may move to remove the party’s endorsement for her for reelection.
• The resolution included the following words: “State Representative Karen Whitsett has repeatedly and publicly praised the president’s delayed and misguided COVID-19 response efforts in contradiction with the scientifically based and action-oriented response from Michigan’s duly election Democratic leadership … endangering the health, safety and welfare of her constituents, the city of Detroit, and the state of Michigan.”
• In other words, how dare she have a different opinion than them based on her own life experiences, an experience that almost cost her her life.
• The words of the district Democrat Party Chairman Jonathan Kinlock are very telling: “Folks in the 13th were complaining about why is she attacking, why can’t she just sit down, she’s always acting like a fool up their in Lansing.” 
• So he is telling an African-American woman [Ms.Whitsett] who just survived a dangerous disease to just sit down and be quiet.
• Can you imagine what the reaction would be from the Democrats and the media if a Republican had told an African American to just sit down and be quiet?

No compassion, no sympathy for a suffering fellow citizen, just shut up and tow the party line that we tell you to tow. Sad.

2) Andrew Cuomo is the governor of New York state. He obviously has had a rough month or so since New York City and New York state have by far been the most affected by the coronavirus. So I can understand his frustration and short temper. 

But he has had a short temper before so his latest idiocy and short temper is no surprise. A few years ago he told his own constituents, those that were pro life or supporters of the Second Amendment to just move out of New York state, they were not wanted in their home state simply because they had a difference of opinion with him. Rather act like a leader and unite people, looking for common ground and supporting the various needs and views of all New Yorkers, he basically said “get out,” you are not welcomed in his state.

Given that background, consider his latest tirade and idiocy:

• A lot of Americans are getting restless staying at home because of the coronavirus.
• Many have lost their jobs and their income and are worried about how they will feed their family and make their mortgage payments and many are just bored and want to get on with their careers.
• Their frustration is understandable to most mature adults.
• But as we just mentioned, Cuomo has a history of not being understanding with others who have a different opinion than his.
• When asked about this stay at home frustration in a new conference the other day, Cuomo, rather than show any type of empathy or understanding, just flippantly said the following: “If you want to go to work, go take a job as essential worker. Do it tomorrow. There are people hiring. You can get a job as an essential worker, so now you can go to work and now you are an essential worker and now you won’t kill anyone.”
• So basically it was a f-you response, don't bother me with your desires, needs, worries and wants.
• First of all, maybe these people do not want to work in “essential services" or are not qualified for essential services jobs.
• Also, since many of these essential services jobs, e.g. working in grocery stores, warehouses, and other industries, have also experienced coronavirus outbreaks, they are not disease free zones either.
• For example, Cuomo has refused to shut down public transit since he says “there’s no reason to do so.”
• But according to the New York Times, 41 public transit “essential” workers have died from the virus and over 6,000 have gotten sick or self quarantined themselves.
• Plus, Cuomo’s list of essential services include such nonsense as dog grooming, printing, publishing, and signage production.

Rather than show a little compassion and explain why he has his restrictions in place, possibly explaining how dog grooming is essential, he lashes out and belittles desperate Americans in desperate straits, just get a job, they are hiring, I don't care if cannot or do not want the jobs they are hiring, even if some of them are dangerous relative to the virus.

Confusing and childish outburst, but not surprising, given his previous impatience with those that have opinions that run contrary to his on abortion and gun rights. It is my way or the highway, hardly a leadership or statesman approach.

But being combative, childish, and wrong has also been Cuomo’s MO during the crisis. Early on, he berated Trump for not sending 40,000 ventilators to New York hospitals, Trump said he did not need that many. It turns out New York did not need anywhere near that many and the ones they did have then ended up giving to other states by the hundreds. 

He then yelled that he needed more hospital beds in ICU units, for which the Federal government sent the hospital ship USNS Comfort to New York City to satisfy his demands. But that ship was never really needed. An angry politician that has gotten just about everything wrong or pigheaded.

3) Okay, let’s get away from the coronavirus for a bit and talk about some new reports on how Bill Clinton blew it when it came to Osama Bin Laden and the 9-11 attacks. According to Frank Holmes, writing for the Horn News website, new government documents show that Clinton had many, many chances to take out Bin Laden before the deadly 9-11 attacks on this country that killed almost 3,000 innocent Americans:

• New documents show that not only did Bill Clinton not kill Bin Laden when he had the chance, he threatened to punish anyone in the United States intelligence community who did in fact kill him.
• Bob Grenier, who was the CIA station chief in Pakistan during the Clinton years, says that Clinton signed an order that anyone who killed Bin Laden would be “risking jail” time.
• In fact, Clinton’s order was pretty nonsensical and stupid since it said the military could take “lethal activity” against Bin Laden but forbid anyone to kill him.
• Doesn’t the very definition of lethal mean to kill?
• But if you remember the Clinton years, he was always a politician first, always looking to avoid blame, rather than being a leader first.
• Clinton told intelligence officers he wanted Bin Laden taken alive.
• Mr. Grenier summarized this idiocy also: “We were being asked to remove this threat to the United States essentially with one hand tied behind our backs.” 
• And it is not like Bin Laden was not known to have American blood on his hands. 
• In 1992, he tried to bomb and kill Americans at a hotel in Yemen.
• He was associated with the 1993 World Trade Center bombing and a 1995 attack on Americans in Saudi Arabia.
• The CIA and others knew about Bin Laden before he bombed two U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania and killed 224 Americans.
• Bin Laden's organization, Al-Qaida, bombed the U.S.S. Cole in 2000, killing 17 U.S. Navy members.
• All of these attacks happened before 9-11, Clinton knew that Bin Laden was associated directly or indirectly with all of them and still he said do not kill him.
• The 9-11 Commission itself found that Clinton had at least nine chances to kill Bin Laden and he nixed every one of those nine opportunities.
• Ironically and sadly, on September 10, 2001, the day before the Bin Laden designed attacks, Clinton actually bragged that he could have killed Bin Laden: “I could have killed him. But I would have to destroy a little town called Kandahar in Afghanistan and kill 300 innocent women and children, and then I would have been no better than him. And so I just didn’t do it.”
• The next day, Bin Laden killed 3,000 innocent Americans.
• So, Clinton opted not to kill 300 civilians which ended up resulting in the death of thousands and thousands American civilians and soldiers.
• But this does not address the other eight times he could have killed him and in fact, U.S. intelligence agents told Clinton at least three times about opportunities to kill him where no one else would have been hurt.
• All of this frustrated trained intelligence officers who knew they could kill Bin Laden without collateral damage, as Mr. Grenier reports: “Policy decisions were made that seem unfathomable today like a Justice Department ruling that it would be illegal for the United States to intentionally kill bin Laden, which left CIA officers in the field feeling frustrated and angry.”
• Even after Bin Laden operatives almost killed Clinton in Manila in 1996 he still refused to put forth the kill order on Bin Laden.

What a terrible and incoherent decision by Clinton. Imagine what would have happened if he had had the guts to actually wipe out the worst terrorist ever, a terrorist that could have been killed any number of times without collateral damage:

• 3,000 Americans would not have been killed on 9-11.
• Thousands of American soldiers would not have been killed and hundreds of billions of dollars would not have been wasted by invading Afghanistan, a debt we are still paying today.
• Thousands of American soldiers would not have been killed and hundreds of billions of dollars would have been wasted by invading Iraq, a debt we are still paying today.
• The Patriot Act would have never been passed and the freedoms it attacks would be much safer.
• Radical Islamic terrorism would likely be less powerful and destructive.
• Iraq and Iran might still be fighting each other, leaving Iran far less powerful as a terrorist nation.

Less wasted national wealth, less American deaths, lower threat from terrorism, all of that would have been possible if Clinton was not so worried about being a politician and more worried about protecting American interests and lives.

Politicians being politicians, either gutless, lacking in empathy, or just being vindictive even against their own kind.

January, 2020, Part 6, Political Class Insanity: Congresswomen Insulting Those That Serve, Biden Lies or Is Delusional, and CNN Bias Gets Exposed

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee has often been written about in this blog and never in flattering terms. This is a Congresswoman who once claimed that the Constitution is 400 years old (it isn’t), that her Congressional district in Houston was 50 feet below sea level (it isn’t) and once asked if one of the Mars surface explorer vehicles would be traveling where Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. And this lady votes on national laws. Insane.

But she recently was in front of the microphone with other members of Congress and was giving a heartfelt tribute to our armed forces folks who have suffered as a result of serving our country and protecting our freedoms. It was a very serious topic delivered in a very serious tone and I commend the Congresswoman for that.

But the disgrace of the moment was going on behind her as two despicable members of Congress, Congresswomen Omar and Tlabi, got into a private conversation immediately behind Ms. Jackson Lee and then proceeded to laugh and giggle for the rest of the speech. These are two individuals who have not been secretive in their hate and disgust with this country. And their disrespect to those that serve is proof again that their are truly hateful and useless politicians and leaders of this country. See their antics at:

2) Joe Biden wants to be President despite a lifetime of embarrassing, funny, sexist, and racist gaffes. The gaffes are in addition to a policy and legislative history that is underwhelming at best. The Fix This Nation website recently ran a story on his most recent lies and gaffes as it applies to foreign policy:

• In a recent interview, Biden claimed that “we”, namely him and the Obama administration, took out Osama Bin Laden.
• When challenged by the interviewer that Biden had advised AGAINST going after Bin Laden, Biden denied he said that, “No, I didn’t. I didn’t.”
• But according to left-leaning Politico, Biden told Obama in 2012 not to go after Bin Laden, “Mr. President, my suggestion is, don’t go. ‘We have to do two more things to see if he’s there.”
• But Obama never did those “two more things,” went after and got Bin Laden, and eight years later Biden is lying about what he said and what was well documented by multiple sources.
• In answering a recent voter question about the war in Iraq under Bush, Biden insisted that he was against the invasion of Iraq “from the very moment” that bombs started dropping on the country.
• But the first day of the invasion, Biden was on CNN and said, “We have one single focus. And that is, we’re about to send our women and men to war. The president is the commander-in-chief. We voted to give him the authority to wage that war. We should step back and be supportive.”
• This statement after Biden voted on the floor of Congress to authorize the invasion.

Just two of the latest foreign policy lies from the former Vice President. Previously, he insisted he had met Putin and gave him a good talking to (he didn’t meet him) and that he had met, Kim, the North Korean maniac and had dressed him down also (he didn’t meet him either). Again, all of this raises the age old question: are politicians that stupid to believe their own lies or do they think we are too stupid to understand they are lying to us … or both?

3) One of the critical foundations of democracy is a free, unbiased and aggressive free press. An unbiased free press is a bastion against lying, corruption, and destruction of freedom in any democracy from the political class that operates within that democracy.

Unfortunately, those in this country with this heavy free press responsibility have fallen down completely on the job. The mainstream press in this country is anything but unbiased any more. Ratings, personal prejudices, and personal hatred override the tenets of unbiased and solid journalism.

Nowhere has this failure been more prevalent than at CNN, which at one time was a stronghold of solid and unskewed news reporting. But over time they have devolved into a biased, hateful center of news reporting and what has happened is their ratings have suffered as they eroded their integrity. Their nightly news broadcasts now trail Fox News by orders of magnitudes and most nights trail several other cable TV channels including the Food Channel and the Hallmark Channel. Thus, some nights, it is conceivable that more people are watching “Cupcake Wars” than CNN.

Project Veritas is a well known activist group which has done many undercover video stories in the past. Their videos exposed many, many political and government misdeeds, crimes, and idiocy. Their most recent effort was filmed by a gentleman named Cary Poarch, a former CNN employee. He spent two years secretly recording discussions among some higher ranking CNN employees and executives.

Poarch filmed different CNN employees and ended up showing how anti-Trump their reporting was and how they only focus on him and his actions. Also, they talked on the undercover film about making up news stories and how Democrats are far more abusive of power than Trump but they only focus on Trump.

Some of the biased comments from actual CNN officials include:

Patrick Davis: “What’s crazy to me is Obama was caught on camera…”

Poarch: “With the Russian thing…”

Davis: “Yes! ‘Wait ’til I get into office and I have more room to negotiate…

Poarch: “Flexibility.”

Davis: “‘I have more flexibility’ and I’m going, holy sh*t. I’m going with…”

Poarch: “And I voted for the man.”

Davis: "But then Trump’s getting hammered for twisting an arm, you know what I mean? It’s, I don’t know man; he (Trump) has survived everything up to this point…”

Poarch: “It’s crazy right?”

Davis: “Bill Clinton survived getting his d**k sucked under a table, you know what I’m saying? My guess is the House is crazy enough to go through with it and they’re starting it. Everyone’s trying to do this from a ‘holier than thou perspective’ like, ‘Oh, he abused his power.’ Those a**holes, those 500 a**holes up there, abuse their freaking power every day. They do this sh*t every fricking day.

Poarch: “For thirty years.”

Davis: “What he was doing was nothing compared to what these a**holes are doing on a daily basis, right?”

In other words, CNN knows about how biased they are, allowing power abusing Democrats in Congress to get a free pass while making up news stories about Trump. This is not how the free press supports democracy and freedom, it is also not how they can grow their audience base, Americans are too smart for that.

August, 2019, Part 1, Politicians Say The Darndest Things: The Idiotic, Delusional, False, and Inane Comments of Joe Biden, First Set

We have done previous posts under the theme of “politicians say the darndest things.” These posts highlight the idiocy and inane comments that American politicians actually say out loud, which makes us question how broken our political processes have become that people in powerful positions can be so inept and stupid.

Nancy Pelosi has usually been the star of these posts, having said some of the most out of touch and inane things that any politician has said. But a close second has been former Senator and Vice President Joe Biden. And now that Biden is running for President, it seems that Pelosi’s reign of most inane quote machine is in danger, given some of the most ridiculous statements he has uttered lately:

1) Sadly, in February, 2018 there was a tragic school shooting Parkland, Florida. Keep in mind that Biden was no longer Vice President in 2018 but that did not stop him from stating the following strange quote: “Those kids in Parkland came up to see me when I was Vice President.”

He went on to claim that, as Vice President, he met with the families of the shooting. Which was wrong in that not only was he not Vice President at the time but he also did not meet with the families of the victims while he was Vice President.

Which brings us to the question that we have never answered: do politicians say this stupid stuff because they actually believe it or do they think we are that stupid and will believe whatever tripe they say? 

In this case, one has to worry if Biden is delusions, senile, or worse. How can he possibly think that he met with these people as Vice President when he was not Vice President?

2) According to the Washington Examiner: “Biden claimed in multiple speeches in 2008 that he knew where Osama bin Laden was hiding because his helicopter had been ‘forced down’ nearby in the mountains of Afghanistan.” 

Specifically Biden said: “If you want to know where al Qaeda lives, you want to know where bin Laden is, come back to Afghanistan with me.” 

But the truth is that his helicopter landed in order to wait out some bad snow weather. His chopper never came under fire, it was not forced down, and as history shows, Bin Laden was probably already in Pakistan by then and nowhere near Biden.

This lie was so bad that even John Kerry, a person not unfamiliar with saying stupid things, made fun of Biden: “Other than getting a little cold, it was fine, We were going to send Biden out to fight the Taliban with snowballs.”

3) According to an article on the Godfather Politics website, back in 2008 Biden claimed that he and his family were coal miners: “I hope you won’t hold it against me, but I am a hard-coal miner, anthracite coal, Scranton, Pennsylvania.” But in reality, neither him nor his family were ever coal miners.

4) Back in 2007, Biden claimed he was ‘shot at’ while visiting the Green Zone during the Iraq War, the heavily guarded area in the middle of Baghdad near the United States embassy is based, as reported by the Washington Examiner. There is no evidence that this ever happened to Biden.

5) Biden, during his failed run for President back in 2008, said that he confronted Serbian strongman and war criminal, Slobodan Milošević, and called him a “damn war criminal” to his face. But no one who attended the 1993 meeting between between Milošević and the American delegation, though, can verify Biden said anything close to this.

6) Biden has previously claimed that he was a participant at sit-ins at segregated restaurants and movie theaters to fight segregation: ”When I was 17 years old, I participated in sit-ins to desegregate restaurants and movie houses in my state, and my stomach turned upon hearing the voices of Faubus and Barnett, and my soul raged upon seeing the dogs of Bull Connor.” 

Again, there is no written, photo, or eye witness accounts that can verify this. Plus, Biden eventually conceded that he never was very active in any civil rights protests.

7) Biden has claimed that he severely criticized George Bush during long private meetings in the Oval Office: “I remember President Bush saying to me one time in the Oval Office, ‘Well, Joe,’ he said, ‘I’m a leader.’ And I said: ‘Mr. President, turn around and look behind you. No one is following.’” But again, there is no proof or evidence that any such meeting, long or short, EVER happened when Bush was President and Biden was a Senator.

8) But Biden’s lies and fantasies are no restricted to past actions and quotes. He recently stated that Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy were assassinated in the 1970s. But anyone with any kind of education, or a non-impaired memory, knows that these killings occurred in the 1960s.

9) Unfortunately, the country recently suffered through two mass shootings, one in El Paso, Texas and the other in Dayton, Ohio. Or so we through since Biden recently stated that the mass shootings occurred in “Houston and Michigan.” Not even close to El Paso and Dayton.

10) After the last Democratic Presidential debate Biden mashed together his campaign’s text id with his website when he told viewers to “go to Joe 30330.”

11) According to the book written by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin about the 2008 Presidential campaign, Game Change, they report that Obama once stated: “How many times is Biden gonna say something stupid?”

That will do it for Biden’s lies, delusions, mental breakdowns and the darndest things he has said for today. And to think that this man actually wants to be President, a very scary prospect. And what is even scarier: we are not done with his idiocy and inane quotes, our next post continues to prove that there is no way this man is solid and lucid enough to run the country.

Joe Biden's Pathetic Attempt To Convince Us There Were No Obama Presidency Scandals,Not A "Whisper"

We wanted to move on to the latest unfolding disasters of Obama Care theme that we have been running over the past decade or so, given how pathetically bad that piece of legislation has performed. But we decided to put that off for a day or so and follow up on a statement that Joe Biden made in the past few days. 

As you probably know, Biden is now the 300th or so Democratic candidate for President in 2020. He made a bunch of press and TV rounds the day he announced his candidacy and made a ridiculous assertion that Obama has also made any number of times since his failure of a Presidency ended. Biden claimed that the Obama administration had not had a single major scandal. Specifically, he said there was not a “whisper of a scandal” in the Obama White House.

Such insanity and such a lie. Hey, Joe, let’s review a few “whispers” of a scandal:

• Benghazi - Four Americans were killed when the Obama administration refused to allow U.S. military resources to deploy and rescue them. The scandal got compounded when the entire Obama administration claimed that the attack on the U.S. consulate at Benghazi was caused by an obscure YouTube video. However, we knew years ago that the Obama crew lied through their teeth, that they knew ahead of time what was going to happen and it had nothing to do with a video. Judicial Watch’s actions and access to government documents in the past few weeks proves the lie, a lie that was needed to protect Obama’s false assertion that he had conquered terrorism and to protect his run for reelection. Obama, Hillary, et al committed to the family of those murdered Americans that they would bring the perpetrators to justice, an unfulfilled promise seven years later.
• The Obama administration broke numerous domestic laws, international laws, and international treaties and agreements by gun running military grade weapons to Mexican drug cartels via the Fast and Furious scandal. These weapons eventually were used to kill Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry and dozens, if not hundreds, of Mexican civilians.
• Obama allowed his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, to operate an illegal and unsecured computer server in her home which ended up in the unlawful mishandling of government classified information. The data management processes of secret information was so atrocious that over 600,000 pieces of information ended on on the unsecured laptop of convicted sex pervert, former Congressman Anthony Weiner, the former husband of Clinton’s chief of staff.
• Obama released five high value Taliban prisoners and leaders for a measly single American Army deserter, Bowe Bergdahl. These five Taliban leaders are believed to have reentered the world of terrorism while the many soldiers that were killed and wounded searching for Bergdahl after he deserted received no special treatment and were basically ignored by everyone in the Obama administration.
• Obama broke precedent and laws by paying the Iranians $40 million for the release of an American prisoner and then tried to cover up the reality that pallet loads of cash had indeed been shipped to the Iranians for the release.
• Obama allowed Hillary Clinton to run an international pay to play and money laundering operation, using the Clinton Foundation as a front, during her time as Secretary of State.
• Mismanagement of the Veterans Administration during the Obama years resulted in months long wait times for veterans to get a simple appointment with a doctor. This situation likely resulted in the death of some veterans while on the appointment wait list. At the same time, the inept VA administrators that allowed these conditions to exist received robust bonus and promotions opportunities. Despite promising to fix the problem early in his Presidency, he never made any attempt or achieved any success in doing so.
• Obama allowed his Attorney General to meet with Bill Clinton on the tarmac at an Arizona airport in a blatant attempt to make sure the Federal government and the Obama administration did not pursue criminal charges against Hillary Clinton on any number of different fronts.
• Obama gave out billions and billions of taxpayer dollars to shaky alternative energy companies, the vast, vast majority of which were run or backed by Democratic operatives and donors, all of which went belly up along with billions of taxpayer dollars. The administration then compounded the disaster by, in at least one case, Solyndra, illegally putting a private Democratic donor ahead of the American taxpayer in Solyndra bankruptcy proceedings.
• Secret Service agents partook of frolicking with prostitutes during an Obama South American visit, frolicking that may have been financed by drug cartel money.
• The initial Obama Care website, that never worked even though $600 million had been spent on it, a failure that was the result of Michelle Obama’s college friend’s company blowing up the effort, was illegally approved for rollout despite not getting the lawfully required government approval.
• There is not enough time in the day to list all of the Obama Care scandals including the multiple times that the Obama administration broke the law by unlawfully delaying, changing, or ignoring the tenets of the law he helped pass.
• His administration illegally tried to get Americans and American companies to pay high amounts of money for Freedom Of Information Act requests even though the law prohibits such payments.
• Obama shredded the Fourth Amendment by using the country’s spy apparatus to collect, store, and spy on just every Americans’ electronic communications.
• Obama shredded the First Amendment by weaponizing the IRS against Republican and conservative interests to illegally support his reelection campaign.
• Obama continued to shred the First Amendment by spying on journalists, an action that drew rebukes from many journalism industry groups and spokespeople.
• For the first time ever in America, the Obama administration put together and executed a formal hit list of American citizens to be assassinated overseas, depriving those Americans their right to a fair trial.
• The Obama administration violated the Constitution and the War Powers Act by involving the United States and its military in the Libyan civil war, an action cost untold billions of American tax dollars, toppled one of the more progressive Middle East societies, resulted in untold thousands of Libyans being killed and maimed, and turned the country into a terrorist haven that exists up to today.
• Biden fought against the operation that ended up killing Bin Laden, the terrorist that oversaw the plan that killed almost 3,000 innocent American on September 11, 2001.

Okay that is enough, you get the idea, we could have listed more but that would get to be overkill.

Joe, these are much more than whispers of scandals. These actions were often illegal, wasteful of taxpayer wealth, violated Americans rights, violated American and international laws, violated the Constitution, and resulted in the deaths and maiming of thousands of human beings around the world.

August, 2018, Part 2, Political Class Insanity: San Francisco Politicians Go Off The Deep End While Washington Pays Al Qaeda Terrorists

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) We have previously discussed the disgusting situation on the streets of San Francisco. With an exploding homeless population, the streets are now lined with human feces, urination, and drug user spent needles. The city has actually set up a dedicated helpline for citizens to report piles of human feces on the streets, a condition acknowledged by the incoming mayor.

Daniel Greenfield, writing for the Freedom Outpost website on August 2, 2018, summed up, somewhat comically and ironically, the other horrible conditions, political idiocy, and over regulation that now permeates this socialist “mecca” on the west coast:

• The title of his article is “San Francisco Bans Everything” which is not too far from the truth.
• He asserts and provides links that show that the city government has banned straws, fur coats, bottled water, vaping liquids, upholstered furniture, plastic bags, pet stores, electric scooters coffee cups, pacing peanuts, tropical fish, and McDonald’s Happy Meal.
• However, they have made drug use/abuse, public urination and defecation, and shoplifting legal.
• Greenfield hilariously and correctly now calls the city “North Korea with a tech industry and some leftover Victorian architecture (which it’s banning tour buses from visiting) has reacted to the collapse of living conditions and fleeing tourists by banning everything.”
• The public defecation is probably the most disgusting problem facing the city with the article discussing examples of how 20 pounds of human waste was deposited on a city street and how constant human urine had corroded a pole so much that the  metal weakened and fell on a car, almost killing the driver.
• Official complaints about human waste in the city have gone from 5,685 in 2011 to 18,211 in 2016, a threefold increase in just five years. 
• But although public defecation and urinating is not illegal, using or serving a straw is illegal with both the city and the state passing anti-straw laws with the state version carrying a potential six month jail sentence.
• Which raises the satirical question: will Mexican drug cartels now starting smuggling illegal straws across the border for thirst addicted Americans?
• Straws were banned, according to the city ordinance, because they “may threaten public health” but public defecation and urination must not be a health issue in the city.
• The city also banned fur coats since, according to a sponsor of that ban, Katy Tang, "fur farming contributes to water and air pollution" because each mink produces "44 pounds of feces in the mink’s lifetime."
• But since a human being like Ms. Tang generates about 342 pound of feces in a year, about 8 times more than a mink produces in its lifetime, maybe it is the city council members like herself that should be banned.
• The city spends over $800,000 a day, every day, on its homeless population but city council members worry about and spend time on straws, fur coats, and a myriad of other stupid, useless efforts.
• The city also decided that employers could no longer provide on site dining/cafeteria services for their employees since such employee perks cause local restaurants to lose business.
• This forces taxpaying workers to leave their place of business and walk through the feces and drug needle lined streets to find a place to eat, making sure they do not drink bottled water, wear a mink coat, or vape on the way to finding a meal.

This is what happens when politicians think too much, have too much power, over regulate citizens lives, and are really incapable of resolving any type of problem. They waste time inconveniencing and hassling their voters and fellow citizens while the major problems never get resolved.

How bad have things gotten in the city of San Francisco? A major medical organization, based in Chicago, cancelled its future conventions in the city after a long string of years holding their convention there. This raises the the obvious question that the article poses: when the city of Chicago thinks your city is a hellhole, how bad and how low have you sunk?

2) Osama Bin Laden and his terrorist group, Al Qaeda, were responsible for not only the worst terrorist attack ever inside America but untold other terrorist attacks and deaths around the world. They are truly the worst and deadliest group of terrorists ever assembled.

Fortunately, Bin Laden was killed by a secret raid by Seal Team Six under the Obama administration, giving that Presidency one of its very few success stories, and the remainder of Al Qaeda has been greatly diminished over time. 

But before all of this good news happened, apparently the Obama administration gave out hundreds of thousands of American tax dollars to an Al Qaeda terrorist affiliate, a fact verified by the State Department:

• The Obama administration approved a $200,000 grant to an organization in the country of Sudan that had strong ties to Al Qaeda.
• In fact, the group had previously and was currently designated as a terrorist financing organization by the Federal government years previously (2004) and yet, Obama still gave them $200,000.
• The $200,000 was given to the Islamic Relief Agency in 2014, as reported by Sam Westrop of the Middle East even though the group was already on the terror watch list, according to Mr. Westrop: “More stunningly, government officials specifically authorized the release of at least $115,000 of this grant even after learning that it was a designated terror organization.”
• USAID, the Federal government organization responsible for dispensing the taxpayer wealth to the terror organization confirmed Mr. Westrop’s reporting.
• Yet 10 years after the group was designated as a terror group, in March, 2014 USAID gave it $200,000 for so-called humanitarian efforts.
• In November, 2014, USAID finally realized it’s mistake and ordered all contacts and funding be stopped with the group.
• But in May, 2015 the Treasury gave the group $115,000 despite it being on the terrorist list for now eleven years and six months after USAID realized the error or its ways.
• According to Mr. Westrop: “Obama-administration officials knowingly approved the transfer of taxpayer dollars to an al-Qaeda affiliate, and not an obscure one but an enormous international network that was often in the headlines.” 

What a frigging mess. A terror group kills almost 3,000 Americans in one morning. Yet somehow two different organizations within the Federal government pay an affiliate of the terror group, one that the same Federal government designated as a terror group years before, $200,000 that was used for who knows what kind of terror and criminal enterprises. You cannot make this insanity up.

Bin Laden Is Dead And GM Is Alive...But Just Barely and Other Bailout Blunders

One of the campaign slogans coming out of the Obama camp is that "Bin Laden Is Dead and GM is Alive" which tries to show the Obama administration's success both domestically and overseas. Bin Laden is indeed dead, the work of thousands of American citizens and military personnel that spanned the time from before to during the Obama administration. In other words, America finally killed Bin Laden, Obama was present and able to give the order that culminated the work of many, but America finished him off, not Obama.

As far as General Motors being alive, that is debatable, especially relative to the money owed to the American taxpayer, courtesy of Obama's bailout of the company. Let's recap the history of this ill fated bailout. When a company gets into financial trouble, it usually goes through the tried and true  bankruptcy proceedings that exist in this country in order to do some or all of the following:

• Void distribution contracts with existing dealers and resellers of that company's products and services.
• Void labor contracts that exist between the company and its employees.
• Restructure debt with existing bond holders and stock holders.
• Sell off divisions or shut down unprofitable divisions.
• Look to restructure or default on existing debt obligations to suppliers, vendors, etc.

Companies go through this type of thing all the time, no big deal and no government intervention required, just a judicial proceeding. However, in order to preserve some level of loyalty with Obama's labor interests, his administration unnecessarily stuck itself in the middle of what should have been a typical bankruptcy proceeding and, at last count, had not seen the return of about $25 billion worth of taxpayer bailout money that went to GM as a result of this unnecessary government intervention.

Now, some defenders of this intervention and ill use of taxpayer wealth will claim that Obama saved the car industry in this country. No, he saved some union votes. Let's illustrate via an example: in normal times, I believe the annual market for cars and small trucks in this country is about 16 million vehicles. I also recall that GM's market share of this market is about 25%.

Question: if GM went out of business, how big would the domestic car market be in this country? If you said 12 million vehicles, 16 million less GM's 25% share, you would be wrong. The size of the domestic car and small truck market would still be about 16 million vehicles. The 25% share that GM claims now would be taken up by Ford, Honda, Nissan, etc. Thus, the market would be about the same size but GM would not be a part of it. That is the fallacy in his argument.

But even if the Obama administration had stayed out of the GM bankruptcy proceedings and saved billions of taxpayer dollars, there would still be a GM today. GM might have restructured differently, GM might be smaller than it is today, GM's unions may not have gotten such a sweet deal, but GM and the domestic car market would still exist and those jobs that go into making the 16 million cars a year would still exist. They might exist at Ford, they might exist in a domestic factory of a foreign car maker, they might exist at a slimmed down GM but they would exist.

This is a long winded way of saying that the risking of tens of billions of taxpayer dollars via this bailout was insanity, especially when you look at the numbers today. According to a Huffington Post article from earlier this year,

General Motors still owes the American taxpayer about $25 billion. Although this article is a little on the old side (about five months old), I could find no more recent credible source that indicated that GM had paid back any of this debt since then. So let's go with the Huffington piece as the reality of today. As of the close of the stock market yesterday (August 2, 2012), the market value of General Motors (number of stock shares times the stock price) was about $30 billion.

If the market capitalization or value of the entire GM operation is now valued at about $30 billion, about 83% of that value would have to be used to pay back the $25 billion owed to American taxpayers.  Thus, the Obama administration has gotten us into a very bad financial situation if our debt load is more than 80% of the company's ENTIRE value. The chances of that $25 billion ever being repaid is almost zero.

That near zero possibility was laid out in the Huffington article. The writer asserts that the stock price of GM stock would have to get to almost $54 a share for the American taxpayer to break even on this investment. Given the track record of the GM stock price (double click on the graph for a larger view):

it is highly unlikely that the $54 stock price is going to be attained any time soon. And unlikely that the taxpayers of this country will get paid back any time soon.

Yes, Bin Laden is dead and GM is alive. But GM is on life support relative to the bad, unnecessary investment the Obama administration made in this company. But this is not surprising, given Solyndra, Beacon, Abound, Spectra, Ecotality, and a myriad of other poor investments his Presidency has made with taxpayer money expended and no value returned.

But let's not stop here, let's move on to other bad investments that have burned though billions of taxpayer dollars for nothing in return. Now, President Obama may not have been the overriding force behind these bad investments like he was on the GM bailout but as Senator and then President, he was in agreement with their ill fated financial principles.

 According to the same Huffington Post article, American Insurance Group (AIG) still owes the American taxpayer about $50 million. But the recent stock performance of AIG put the market value/capitalization value at about $56.2 billion. Thus, AIG's liability to the American taxpayer of $50 billion or so is about 89% of its total market value. Doubtful that AIG will ever be able to pay back the entire $50 billion taxpayer bill if what it owes is a whopping 89% of its market value.

But the damage to taxpayer wealth by the recent and current political class does not stop with these two companies. The Huffington article reports on the testimony of the inspector general of the bailout funds who told Congress that in total, 371 banks still $133 billion and that the funds are unlikely to be paid back any time soon.

Even that amount of taxpayer money would be higher since one hundred thirty-seven banks repaid their bailout money using cash from a separate Treasury-run fund, which obviously was also funded with taxpayer money. If you add in the $189 billion (and counting) of taxpayer wealth that the political class has diverted to salvage the remnants of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, you can easily calculate that on average, every American household paid about $3,000 of its own wealth to bailout GM, AIG, Fannie, Freddie, and 371 other banks, a total that is unlikely to decrease any time soon.

Which brings us back to a point we have made many times in this blog with one simple chart. How could the entire political class, Republicans and Democrats in Congress and the White House, and the entire Federal government (SEC, FDIC, Federal Reserve, HUD, Fannie, Freddie, Senate committees on housing and banking, House committees on housing and banking) been so oblivious to the housing bubble that was occurring over the past ten years and not taken remedial action beforehand to stop the resultant bailouts and wasting of hundreds of billions of dollars (double click on graph for a larger view):

      









How could something so obvious as the bubble on this chart by ignored or not understood by so many people in Washington? Yes, Bin Laden is dead but so is the ability of the Washington political class to think strategically and proficiently, negative traits that always get dumped on the wealth of the American taxpayer.  

Just another reason to implement Step 39 from "Love My Country, Loathe my Government." Step 39 would impose term limits on all Federal politicians, "one and done." Since most of the people in Congress, and the current resident of the White House, were present when the economic flame out occurred, requiring massive taxpayer bailouts despite advance warning, we have to assume that they were part of the problem and are unlikely to be part of the solution of efficient, competent, and effective government.
