July, 2021, Political Class Insanity: NYC Botches Another Election, Biden Continues to Be Clueless and California Snottiness Gets Worse

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

To review past posts on this insanity and idiocy, just click on the first few posts in each month listed to the right of this page. After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

Note: just because we spent the last eleven posts talking about the many, many failures of the Biden administration, galloping inflation, a humanitarian and criminal disaster at the border, China, Iran, and Russia running wild overseas, a President and Vice President who are clueless, etc. does not mean other political insanity has not been going on. Thus, we will probably be spending a lot of the next few posts covering the current insanity of other politicians and will intersperse the latest antics of the Biden/Harris team.

1) Many of us believe, given the data, eyewitness testimony, and irregularities of the voting processes in swing states back in November, that Biden was not the people’s choice for President, that there was no way 81 million Americans voted for him. The incompetence, criminal intent, or personal biases that state voting organizations displayed violated the election’s integrity and results.

Now, given the recent ineptness that New York City’s voting board exhibited in the recent Democratic Party elections, we have additional proof that our voting processes are not secure or impartial or both:
  • First off, for whatever reason, NYC decided to put a complicated voting process in place that I don't believe has ever been used anywhere else at any time.
  • Rather than just vote for your favorite candidate, voters had to vote for five candidates that they liked and put them in rank order.
  • Through some kind of ranking process, these five choice votes were then to be tabulated and a winner declared.
  • Thus, it was possible for someone to win the election even if no voter put them top in their rank order.
  • Confused, well so were a lot of voters in the city, which makes this approach just another bit of political class inanity.
  • But the real crisis occurred when, after all the votes were counted, it turned out there were 135,000 more votes counted than voters who voted.
  • The “reason” the Board Of Elections put forth for this glaring discrepancy was that they had run 135,000 test ballots through their voting system prior to the election and somehow “forgot” to clear the test ballots before the actual vote counting started.
  • It took them days to figure out they had a problem and what that problem was, casting more doubt on whether the political class and the government entities they oversee actually know how to run a fair and true election or if they even want to run a fair and true election.
  • Their response: "The Board of Elections conducts rigorous and mandatory pre-qualification testing for every election. It has been determined that ballot images used for testing were not clea”red from the Election Management System (EMS). EMS produces Cast Vote Records (CVR) from ballot images. RCV software uses the CVR to produce unofficial results. When the cast vote records were extracted for the first pull of RCV results, it included both test and election night results, producing approximately 135,000 additional records. Board staff has removed all test ballot images from the system and will upload election night results, cross-referencing against election night reporting software for verification. The cast vote record will be re-generated and the RCV rounds will be re-tabulated. The Board apologizes for the error and has taken immediate measures to ensure the most accurate up to date results are reported.”
Another example where government and politicians fail miserably in the very simple, but very important task, of simply accurately adding up the votes, the voice of the people. When people lose confidence in the voting process and doubt that their voices are being fairly heard and recorded, then democracy is in crisis.

2) Politicians in California have always been pretty arrogant. Even though their policies have failed miserably in their state, resulting in sky high taxation, skyrocketing home populations, housing shortages, rampant crime, regularly occurring electrical grid blackouts and other problems, they continue to not only think they are doing a good job, they need to enforce their standards of behavior and laws on the rest of the country.

This was again recently demonstrated when they passed some rules that forbid any state employee from going to the state of Florida on state government funded business. They did not like the fact that Florida had decided that when it comes to sports, biological men and boys should not be able to compete with biological girls and women in sports regardless of how a man or boy decided to self define their sex.

One has to assume that because the state government put this rule into place, that it represented the views of the citizens of Florida. As a Florida resident, I supported this action by my state politicians as do the majority of voters in this state.

But this obviously did not sit well with California’s political class so they put a travel ban in place to punish us Floridians. To be honest, we are quite happy that they did. If they do not respect the views of others and want to stomp their feet because someone disagrees with them then we really do not want such childish behavior and people coming down here.

But it is not just Florida that the California political class has a beef with, they also recently put the same travel ban in effect for Arkansas, Montana, North Dakota, and West Virginia. These are in addition to about another dozen states that California has taken the same action on.

Makes you wonder if and when California politicians might take a step back and try to understand why they have taken this action against 34% of the states, that maybe they need to reconsider their views rather than accusing everyone else who disagrees with them that they are bigots and prejudiced, as lamely explained by California AG Rob Bonta: “Make no mistake: We’re in the midst of an unprecedented wave of bigotry and discrimination in this country – and the State of California is not going to support it.”

No Mr. Bonta, people in this country are expressing an opinion through their elected officials, it is called democracy. Maybe it is you who is leading an unprecedented wave of bigotry and discimrination against those that have a valid but different opinion than you. Anyway, these travel bans are an empty gesture of idiocy, we in these other 17 states could not care less whether you visit us or not so chew on that reality for a while.

3) When someone keeps making stupid, incorrect statements over and over again, the only conclusions that are possible is that they are either either too ignorant/stupid to understand reality or they think we are too ignorant/stupid to recognize their lies. The current White House resident is the epitome of stupid and ignorant comments:
  • Biden was recently at a COVID themed public event in North Carolina, as reported by the New York Post.
  • He made the official statement that 600,000 people in the country lost their lives as a result of the virus.
  • One could argue whether that number is correct, given the inconsistencies and corruption in the counting process across the country but his follow up to that assertion is certainly bogus.
  • He then said that the 600,000 number is more than the number of soldiers the country lost in the first and second world wars, the Vietnam war, the war in Iraq, and the war with Iran.
  • Which is interesting since no one seems to remember the U.S. going to war against Iran in the history of the country.
  • Another piece of evidence that Biden is in a cognitive descent mode, we never went to war with Iran, at least not yet. How can a President not know that?
That will do it for today’s insanity: after hundreds of years of practice, at least New York City politicians and government entities, prove they still do not know how to conduct a valid election, California politicians continue to be useless and biased, and Biden continues to issue stupid statements. More insanity sure to follow.
