October, 2019, I Am A Global Warming Doubter and A Believer in Science: Real Scientists Debunk Global Warming/Climate Change, Global Warmers Leave a Mess, and More

Every month we have enough material to return to a continuing theme in this blog, namely that “I am a global warming doubter AND a believer in science.” This became of interest because of people like Al Gore who fanatically and verbosely claimed that you had to be an idiot to not believe in manmade global warming. It has been my life belief that anyone that is that loud and that obnoxious is hiding something, that rather than argue facts and reality it is better to beat down and insult anyone who disagrees.

As we have dove into the whole issue of manmade global warming, or its new rebranded title of climate change, we found that Al Gore and people like him were guilty of a number of things:

Ignoring science and realities that did not support their opinions and positions.
Rather than have an adult conversation about climate, these types of advocates like Gore sank to the level of insulting those who dared look at ALL science by calling them a variety of names including racists, homophobes, terrorists, flat earth believers, and other slanderous names.
Continuing to insist that politicians step up their intrusions into our lives with higher taxes, more regulations, and more control on our freedoms and standards of living based on a shaky theory at best.

In an interview on CBS News recently, Canadian teenager Emma Lim said that she is not going to have any children since more babies and more people are causing this “climate crisis.”
Lim and a friend run a website that advocates for not having any more babies which, in their minds, would save the Earth.
Specifically: “… even though I want to have children more than almost anything, what kind of mother would I be if I brought a baby into a world where I couldn’t make sure they were safe?”
Over 900 people have signed up on the website to forego having children.

These folks certainly have the right to not procreate, I wish them luck in this endeavor. But let’s keep two things in mind: For centuries, “scientists” have been fear mongering that overpopulation will be a disaster for humanity and the Earth. And much like global warming forecasts, every single one of those population forecasts has been dramatically incorrect.

Second, to reiterate, all global warming/climate change forecasts have been so wrong in so many ways. Why would anyone deny themselves at least the option to have kids when there is still no solid evidence that humanity is the driver of climate change, something that has happened long before mankind had so many members.

2) We have often been told that 97% of all climate scientists support the theory that humanity’s carbon footprint is causing drastic rises in the Earth’s temperature. We have discussed the idiocy of this figure many times and how corrupt it is. And recently a large group of scientists got together to show how incorrect that 97% number is:

500 climate scientists recently signed and sent a petition to the United Nations and demanded an “open, honest, and transparent” debate on climate change.
As you know from this blog, the United Nations has been a big advocate for the global warming theory in an attempt to control more of our freedoms and rights.
Also, we now know that every United Nations global warming forecast over the past few decades has been wrong and came nowhere close to correctly forecasting climate changes over time.
These scientists’ “European Climate Declaration” contends that there is no climate crisis, the end of the world is not near, and the entire notion has been politicized.
As always with the biased mainstream media, who all support the global warming/climate change myth, there was no coverage of this major climate news, 500 scientists telling the UN to respect science more than they respect politics: “Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific,” the European Climate Declaration reportedly states. “Scientists should openly address the uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming.”
This effort was in line with another effort to bring sanity to the whole climate change discussion, led by Fred Singer, founder of the Science and Environmental Policy Project: “I would like to see the public look upon global warming as just another scientific controversy and oppose any public policies until the major issues are settled, such as the cause. If mostly natural, as NIPCC concludes, then the public policies currently discussed are pointless, hugely expensive, and wasteful of resources that could better be applied to real societal problems.”
The European Climate Declaration also contends that, “There is no statistical evidence that global warming is intensifying hurricanes, floods, droughts, and such like natural disasters, or making them more frequent. There is no climate emergency. Therefore, there is no cause for panic and alarm. We strongly oppose the harmful and unrealistic net-zero CO2 policy proposed for 2050.”
In fact, these scientists went even further than just challenging the global warming/climate change view, they actually contend that the efforts to mitigate carbon footprints actually damage the environment: “However, CO2-mitigation measures are as damaging as they are costly. For instance, wind turbines kill birds and bats, and palm-oil plantations destroy the biodiversity of the rainforests.”
In addition, forest lands are being levelled and replaced with solar panels as are farms when farmers realize that they can make more money renting their land out for solar panels than actually using the land to farm.
In summary: “Therefore, it is cruel as well as imprudent to advocate the squandering of trillions on the basis of results from such immature models. We urge you to follow a climate policy based on sound science, realistic economics, and genuine concern for those harmed by costly but unnecessary attempts at mitigation.”

500 scientists tell the United Nations that it is wrong with its rabid support of the global warming myth. So who are you going to believe: 500 climate scientists who know what they are talking about, a politician from Tennessee, a former bartender turned first term Congresswoman from NYC, or a teenager from Sweden? I think the answer is pretty clear, even if the mainstream media refuses to present a balanced view.

3) 500 scientists present a coherent logical argument that global warming/climate change is a myth and the mainstream media ignores their expertise and viewpoint. Climate advocates hysterically stage marches around the country and the mainstream is all over the story that has no scientific basis.

But it is tough to take these advocates seriously given the mess they left behind after their protests. According to the New York Post: “Their love for the Earth is so real, they couldn’t even use a trash can, tweeted a disgusted @chelsea_elisa, along with a photo of an overflowing trash can in Manhattan, after tens of thousands of marchers invaded the city on fleets of smog-producing buses.”

David Kreutzer of the Heritage Foundation had a similar observation: “The hypocrisy varies from person to person. The ones that fly in on private jets [e.g. Leo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo] are the most hypocritical.”

So these folks want to save the Earth but leave piles of garbage, used paper, and plastic containers and...gasp...plastic straws strewn all over the ground. Kind of takes away from their message.

Another set of reasons why it is perfectly logical to be a global warming doubter and a believer in science: the hypocrisy of the believers, the idiocy of dumping gas stoves, and the reality that 500 scientists are on my side.

December, 2018, Part 2, Why I Am A Global Warming Doubter and A Believer In Science: Reviewing The Horrible Track Record Of Global Warming Forecasting

Every month we have enough material to return to a continuing theme in this blog, namely that “I am a global warming doubter AND a believer in science.” This became of interest because of people like Al Gore who fanatically and verbosely claimed that you had to be an idiot to not believe in manmade global warming. It has been my life belief that anyone that is that loud and that obnoxious is hiding something, that rather than argue facts and reality it is better to beat down and insult anyone who disagrees.

As we have dove into the whole issue of man made global warming, or its new rebranded title of climate change, we found that Al Gore and people like him were guilty of a number of things:

Ignoring science and realities that did not support their opinions and positions.
Rather than have an adult conversation about climate, these types of advocates like Gore sank to the level of insulting those who dared look at ALL science by calling them a variety of names including racists, homophobes, terrorists, flat earth believers, and other slanderous names.
Continuing to insist that politicians step up their intrusions into our lives with higher taxes, more regulations, and more control on our freedoms and standards of living based on a shaky theory at best.

Thus, let’s see the latest facts and science that prove you can be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, regardless of what Al Gore proclaim.

1) Looks like today we will focus on predictions made by global warming advocates with the end result no unsurprisingly being how very wrong these predictions ALWAYS are. Let’s start off with some research done by Michael Haverluck of the One News Now website:

On December 13, 2008, Al Gore warned the world in a speech in Germany that the North Pole would be devoid of ice in Five years.
Specifically, “The entire North ‘polarized’ cap will disappear in five years.”
TEN years later, there is still a lot of ice at the North Pole, even in the summer.
According to Jim Hoft of the Gateway Pundit website, Gore had actually starting making that prediction at least one year before the Germany speech.
Thus, we should be at least five years into an ice free pole.
He hedged his bet in 2009 when he added a 75% chance of an ice free North pole within five to seven years: “Some of the models suggest that there is a 75-percent chance that the entire north polar ice cap – during some of the summer months – could be completely ice-free within the next five to seven years.”
Obviously that did not happen or even come close to happening.
Back in January 2006, a full twelve years ago, Gore predicted that, “Within the next 10 years, the world will reach a point of no return [and] a true planetary emergency [due to global warming].”
The article points out that, “However, according to the Danish Meteorological Institute, there has been no trend in Arctic sea ice for the past 12 years.”

Fortunately, we did pass both his ten years and point of no return and it looks like we will survive, no thanks to his alarmist forecasts that were absolutely pitiful in predicting the future.

2) The above article points out that Gore was not just pathetically wrong on his North Pole forecasts. According to the same article, Gore was grossly wrong in eight predictions from his global warming alarmist movie, “An Inconvenient Truth,” as pointed out by a January, 2016 article on The Blaze website:

1- Gore predicted in the movie that sea levels could rise 20 feet higher due to the melting of the South Pole and Greenland ice sheets. But in reality, the South Pole ice sheets is actually INCREASING in ice volume and there has not been an increase or excessive ice melting from Greenland. As far as the sea level rising, not even close to 20 feet. 0 for 1 on predictions.

2- Gore claimed that CO2 would lead to dramatic rises in the Earth’s overall temperature as did most climate forecasts (which also always wrong.) Satellite data shows that the Earth’s temperatures stabilized about 19 years ago despite untold amounts of CO2 being thrown into the air from mankind’s carbon usage. 0 for 2 on predictions.

3- After Hurricane Katrina, global warming alarmists predicted that the fury of Katrina would be the new norm in hurricane ferocity due to global warming. And then we went over a dozen years with very little hurricane activity, the longest drought in hurricane history. 0 for 3 on predictions.

4- Not only were hurricanes supposed to get more frequent and harsher, the same was predicted on tornadoes. However, the number of devastating tornadoes has actually been declining over the past 60 years, especially the past three years, the exact opposite of what global warming advocates predicted. 0 for 4 on predictions.

5- Global warming was supposed to be killing off the polar bear population since it was robbing them of their cold habitation areas. And yet, according to population counts, there are probably more polar bears alive today then when most of us were born. Natives to the northern realms, the government of Nunavut and Inuit hunters, testify that indeed there are a lot more polar beavers wandering around up north. 0 for 5 on predictions.

6- Polar bears were supposed to be getting rarer and rarer because the Arctic ice was melting. And yet, in 2015 the Arctic ice cap saw the largest refreezing in over ten years. 0 for 6 on predictions.

7- Gore predicted that the Sahel area south of the Sahara Desert was supposed to get drier and drier because of global warming. However, according to satellite images, the Sahel is one of the areas on Earth that has gained the most vegetation growth in the world. The theory is that increased amounts of CO2 in the air, which is vital to plant growth, is responsible for more vegetation growth. a good thing. 0 for 7 on predictions.

8- Al Gore and his types have claimed that CO2 is absolute pollution and poison and needs to be contained and reduced by mankind. However, as the Sahel proves and we have discussed many times before in this blog, increases in the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is strongly correlated with higher and higher crop yields and vegetation growth around the world. So much for pollution and poisoning. 0 for 8 on predictions.

As we have said so many times before, and proven again by the eight failed predictions listed above, every major and minor global warming prediction has been miserably wrong at predicting reality. Which is probably why the global warming advocates rebranded their vendetta from “global warming” to “climate change.” They did such a miserable job predicting the effects of global warming, they needed a fresh start of hysteria to promote, the nebulous term “climate change,” which can mean anything they want it to be.

Too much cold weather? Man made climate change! Too much hot weather? Man made climate change! Too many hurricanes? Man made climate change! Too few hurricanes? Man made climate change! And yet, people like Al Gore still try to convince us that they know best, that they are smarter than us in predicting the future of climate even though their track record is abysmal.

Which brings us to the latest prediction of climate gloom and doom that the Federal government recently released. Why should we believe that this prediction is any better, given the horrible track record of climate forecasting? That will be the subject of our discussion over the next few posts.

1) The Joe For America website recently did a review of all of the research and scientists that has come out that show that global warming never really existed or stopped long ago:

According to the author of the article, Scott Osborn on April 7, 2018, “Over the last few years, global warming has taken a strong hit as proof of serious data manipulation has surfaced, and now scientists are coming out of the closet everywhere showing true data that man-made climate change never even existed. Hundreds of scientists involved in a plethora of recent scientific papers are admitting that the scare about global warming is based on hysteria and false science.”
In 2018 alone, 46 peer reviewed research reports have been published to debunk the global warming theory.
During 2017, 150 graphs taken from 122 research papers were also published in peer reviewed publications which showed that current Earth temperatures are not unusual relative to history, i.e. they do not “fall outside the range of natural variability.”
The Global Warming Policy Forum explains that the contemporary warming of the 20th century “does not stand out in the 2500-year perspective” and is “of the same magnitude as the Roman Warm Period and the Medieval Climate Anomaly.”
Global warming is not an issue according to a number of research reports including McGowan et al., 2018, Northern Alaska (Hanna et al., 2018), the Tibetan Plateau (Li et al., 2018), South Korea (Song et al., 2018), Antarctica (Mikis, 2018), to cite just a few among dozens of others.
Global warming advocates often point to Greenland as being the leading indicator of worldwide global warming but a study by Mikkelsen et al., 2018 shows that Greenland temperatures going back over 150 years are lower now than they were in the 1930s.
In fact, another study, Westergaard-Nielsen et al., 2018, examined the most recent and detailed trends based on MODIS (2001–2015) and concluded that if there is any general trend for Greenland it is “mostly cooling”.
The article republishes some graphs of historical temperatures over many decades and the result is always the same: no big deal going on relative to global warming:

Al Gore LOST! 100's of Climate Scientists Now Admit Global Warming Never Existed

A study by Cerrone and Fusco, 2018 found a large increase in the south pole sea ice and that south pole cooling has been going on since the 1990s.

More reasons why it is perfectly sane to be a global warming doubter and a believer in science.

2) Libertarian journalist, John Stossel, writing for the Constitutional News Network website on march 20, 2018, pointed out the joke that the Paris Climate Agreement was:

As most know, Trump pulled the U.S. out of the agreement, that was never legally binding since Obama was too lazy to get Senate approval of the agreement as required by the Constitution, and correctly calling the agreement a “massive redistribution of United States wealth to other countries.”
Of course, people like Al Gore, Barack Obama, and other global warming advocates went crazy to see the country pull out of their supposedly Earth saving agreement.
But we know now, even admitted by people like Al Gore, that the agreement would not have done if anything to curtail global warming, assuming that it even exists.
Manhattan Institute senior fellow Oren Cass actually read the Paris accord and concluded it was so bad that it landed “somewhere between a farce and a fraud.”
He went to state that the to get the accord, “They stapled it together and held it up and said, ‘This is amazing!'”
And while Obama and John Kerry along with their cohorts in the mainstream press claimed that India and China, major greenhouse gas producers were also sacrificing, that was a big lie: “They [China and India] either pledged to do exactly what they were already going to do anyway, or pledged even less. China, for instance said, ‘we pledge to reach peak emission by about 2030.’ Well, the United States government had already done a study to guess when Chinese emissions would peak, and their guess was about 2030.”
Even more comical was Pakistan which promised that after it reached an undefined peak in the undefined future, it would then begin to reduce emissions and undefined amount.
According to Case, the U.S. as represented by Obama, was the only country that was serious about reducing this country’s greenhouse gas emissions (by 26%), killing off U.S. economy while the rest of the world committed to nothing and intended to do nothing.

Solving a problem that does not exist, way to go Barack.

3) Up until about 20 years ago the Earth’s temperature had been rising slowly. However, as we have shown and a multitude of scientists have shown, in the past two decades there has been absolutely minimal if any, global warming. This flattening out of the trend showed that all of the gloom and doom forecasts of global warming advocates were incredibly wrong and thus held no value in supporting what was becoming a myth, global warming.

But indeed, there was warming up until twenty years ago or so. While global warming alarmists said this was a horrible, horrible trend, there are some other scientists who observed that that long ago global warming might have actually been a good thing:

According to a recent article on the Constitution website, Robert Murphy, an economist with the Institute For Energy Research, says that higher temperatures have resulted in better harvests and fewer elderly deaths in the winter.
Murphy claims that one of the major climate forecast models, the FUND model, and the model Obama used to establish a “social cost of carbon” showed that global warming actually had a net positive benefit, “showed global warming was a net positive through about 3 degrees Celsius of warming — a full degree higher than what the U.N. considers “dangerous.”
Environmental economist Richard Tol’s work concluded that global warming, at least short term, would provide a net benefit to society and humanity: “Tol’s paper examined projections from 27 models and found net benefits from “initial warming,” then net costs to society after that. Tol said net costs appear around 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels — that could be 40 to 50 years away.”
Tol also concluded that, “Plants grow faster and tolerate drought better if there is more carbon dioxide in the air.”
Satellite data shows that the world has greened up over the past few decades which many researchers attribute to extra carbon dioxide being in the air: “Scientists on the CO2 Coalition, a nonprofit, publicly argue that higher atmospheric CO2 concentrations are more of a benefit than a burden. One of their members, scientist Craig Idso, has catalogued a slew of studies pointing to the benefits of more atmospheric CO2.”

So in essence, we are living in the best possible scenario from a climate perspective. The warming that did exist but which stopped growing about twenty years ago boosting farm and foliage growth. But it not get so high that it has caused catastrophic climate conditions on the Earth which means that we do not need any kind of international agreement on climate change control and that Trump was right to pull us out of it for the many reasons listed above. Hopefully no, based on all of the science and the realities we now know, people like Al Gore will please just ...go….away.

1) Earlier this week we discussed a research report that re-examined government data that had shown an upward trend in global warming of the Earth. The research study was done by a statistician and two climate scientists and had been peer reviewed and approved.

Their bottom line is that the government had adjusted raw temperature data over the years in a biased manner to show a warming trend that did not exist in the raw data. I was able to find the abstract for their study that summarized their results and have listed it below. As you will see, it is a serious indictment of false science and research that government workers have perpetrated in the field of climate science:

In this research report, the most important surface data adjustment issues are identified and past changes in the previously reported historical data are quantified. It was found that each new version of GAST has nearly always exhibited a steeper warming linear trend over its entire history. And, it was nearly always accomplished by systematically removing the previously existing cyclical temperature pattern. This was true for all three entities providing GAST data measurement, NOAA, NASA and Hadley CRU.

As a result, this research sought to validate the current estimates of GAST using the best available relevant data. This included the best documented and understood data sets from the U.S. and elsewhere as well as global data from satellites that provide far more extensive global coverage and are not contaminated by bad siting and urbanization impacts. Satellite data integrity also benefits from having cross checks with Balloon data.

The conclusive findings of this research are that the three GAST data sets are not a valid representation of reality. In fact, the magnitude of their historical data adjustments, that removed their cyclical temperature patterns, are totally inconsistent with published and credible U.S. and other temperature data. Thus, it is impossible to conclude from the three published GAST data sets that recent years have been the warmest ever –despite current claims of record setting warming.

Finally, since GAST data set validity is a necessary condition for EPA’s GHG/CO2 Endangerment Finding, it too is invalidated by these research findings.

“The conclusive findings of this research are that the three GAST data sets are not a valid representation of reality.” Let me say it again, “not a valid representation of reality.” Seems to be a trend among many climate change/global warming advocates. And while man made global warming may actually be a reality, it is not proven by this government data, the reports and predictions based on this falsely adjusted government data are invalid, and the theory takes another hit from a scientific integrity perspective.

2) In light of this previous point that proved that falsely adjusted government data seriously undermines the theory of manmade global warming, let's take a look at some other data that does the same thing. We have previously talked about this scientific research from Denmark but in light of the fake government data we just discussed, let’s look at some other real data, as reported on the Federalist Papers website:

The analysis comes from research done by the Danish Meteorological Institute (DMI) and was reported in by England’s Telegraph newspaper.
Since December, temps in the Arctic have been consistently lower than minus 20 C.
In April, the Arctic sea ice coverage was back to where it was in 2004.
While the ice had been on the thin side for a number of years, this year it is back to being two meters thick.
The Greenland ice mass increased in volume this past winter faster than any time in years.
While 2016 was a very warm year, with the dissipation of the strong El NIno from last year, satellite records show that in recent months temperatures have quickly dropped more than .06 degrees C, the exact same thing that happened 17 years ago when a similarly strong El Nino dissipated.
Global temperatures have been more or less constant for 19 years running, totally blowing away the accuracy of most if not all primary global warming forecast models.

Colder than expected, another global warming forecast myth rattled. But things might be getting worse from a cooling climate according to a recent Daily Wire article:

Some climate research is predicting that a natural cooling cycle of the Earth happens every 230 years or so and that the next cooling cycle actually began taking hold in 2014.
By 2019, we should see a significant drop in temperatures if this climate research is correct.
Some scientists are expecting a big drop in solar activity between 2020 and 2053 which will cause the next ice age.
If new ice age if it happens, would devastate crop yields and lead to food shortages around the world.

Given that some climate scientists grossly missed their global warming forecasts, it is entirely possible that other scientists will grossly miss their ice age and cooling forecasts. But the bottom line is to say that the “science is settled” or that 97% of all climate scientists agree with the theory of global warming is simply wrong.

3) A few days ago we reviewed research that showed that the end of the life cycle of solar panels is really bad for the environment:

Well, it seems that other research shows that the the manufacturing of solar panels at the beginning of their life cycle is not that great for the environment either:

A recent research study by scientists at Utrecht University in the Netherlands found that if you take into account the amount of CO2 produced from the mining of materials used in solar panels and the output of factories that produce solar panels, then the total amount of CO2 produced in the total manufacturing process of solar panels is generally greater than the amount of CO2 saved by using solar panels.
The raw data for the study and research spanned 40 years worth of solar panel manufacturing and CO2 output.
The researchers found that it would take decades for solar panels to be friendlier to the environment than burning fossil fuels but since most solar panels do not last decades, the net benefit to solar panels is negative relative to CO2.
The research was funded by the Technology Foundation STW which is a government agency of the European Commission, hardly a fossil fuels front.

Again, when looking to solve a problem, look at all layers of the problem because unless you know the root causes, you will never be successful in resolving any problem, climate or other wise.

July, 2016, Part 2, I Am A Global Warming Doubter and A Believer In Science: Nineteen U.S.Senators Make Fools Of Themselves

Every month we have enough material to return to a continuing theme in this blog, namely that “I am a global warming doubter AND a believer in science.” This became of interest because of people like Al Gore who fanatically and verbosely claimed that you had to be an idiot to not believe in manmade global warming. It has been my life belief that anyone that is that loud and that obnoxious is hiding something, that rather than argue facts and reality it is better to beat down and insult anyone who disagrees.

As we have dove into the whole issue of manmade global warming, or its new rebranded title of climate change, we found that Al Gore and people like him were guilty of a number of things:

Ignoring science and realities that did not support their opinions and positions.
Rather than have an adult conversation about climate, these types of advocates like Gore sank to the level of insulting those who dared look at ALL science by calling them a variety of names including racists, homophobes, terrorists, flat earth believers, and other slanderous names.
Continuing to insist that politicians step up their intrusions into our lives with higher taxes, more regulations, and more control of our freedoms and standards of living based on a shaky theory at best.

Thus, let’s see the latest facts and science that prove you can be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, regardless of what Al Gore proclaims:

1) Over the years in this series of “I am a global warming doubter and a believer in science” posts, we have cited, and discussed dozens, if not hundreds, of pieces of data, statistics, and research that show it is perfectly sane, rational, and quite possibly correct to be a global warming doubter. We have discussed and shown real data that proved that historical global warming forecasts by global warming advocates have been total rubbish from an accuracy perspective. We have discussed the reality that polar ice caps are expanding, not shrinking as predicted. That temperatures have been flat, not rising as predicted. That polar bear populations have been growing, not declining as predicted.

Any logical, sane person with a lick of common sense would at least have to pause and consider whether the global warming theory has at least a little few scientific chinks in its armor and maybe the reality is at least a little different than people like Al Gore or Barack Obama contend it is. But common sense and logic has never been a strong suit of those serving in Congress, a fact that was recently brought to light by a stunt that Senate Democrats recently pulled.

According to a July 11, 2016 article by Lachlan Markay, writing for the Washington Free Beacon, Senate Democrats were assigned specific global doubting groups to attack on the Senate floor during a recent session of the Senate. Rather than sit down and have an adult conversation about all of the doubts and fallacies and failures of global warming that we and many, many others in the scientific community have raised, they would rather do a witch hunt of Americans, who were simply exercising their First Amendment rights, from the floor of the Senate.

Nineteen Senate Democrats were told to verbally attack specific organizations that were assigned to them by a policy advisor to Senator Sheldon Whitehouse. Rather than protecting these individuals and organizations’ First Amendment rights, Whitehouse has always wanted to prosecute and persecute them under Federal racketeering laws for simply having a difference of opinion with him. It is a lame effort to try and lump global warming doubters with lead paint and smoking in order to give the Federal government obscene power to regulate scientific thinking.

The nineteen Senators and their First Amendment suppression specific targets include the following:

One would have thought that at least one of these nineteen Senators would step back and say, “Gee, there seems to be a lot of organizations and Americans who seem to be doubting that manmade global warming is a reality. Maybe I need to do a little research.” But no, they blindly do what they are told to do like robots, with no independent thinking and reasoning anywhere in sight.

But the absence of independent thinking and common sense has never been a major asset of most American politicians.

2) Let’s test the common sense of these nineteen Senators with a picture. David Kreutzer, writing for the Heritage Foundation on May 2, 2016, reviewed the story we have discussed many, many times, namely that the Earth has been very hot and very cold on a cyclical basis for hundreds of thousands of years. Many of those hundreds of thousands of years, mankind was either not around or made minimal use of carbon based energy and produced minimal amounts of incremental CO2.

His article recently contained a historical recreation of Earth’s temperature history using NOAA data (specifically, it comes from the National Climatic Data Center website):

As you can see, the chart covers 500,000 years of recreated temperature trends and cycles. Over that time, the Earth’s temperature has deviated by upwards of 15 degrees Celsius and in at least three periods it has been higher than it is today.

Which raises the obvious common sense question that each of these nineteen First Amendment hating Senators needs to answer: If there were normal, natural swings in temperatures for 499,950 years, during which the Earth’s temperatures were higher than they are today, why would anyone think that mankind was the main factor in the current and temporary upswing in temperatures and it is not the same, natural phenomena that had occurred for hundreds of thousands of years before the global warming craze was created?

Phrased another way, as it was in the article: “Now see if you can follow this: The “science thought police” insist that even though none of the temperature variations for the first 499,950 years had anything to do with human activity, virtually none of the temperature increases of the past 50 years had anything to do with nature. Got it?”

Makes you wonder how some people get elected to high office when common sense and simple logic constantly elude them. It would be pretty funny if the First Amendment was not at stake as a result of their irresponsible actions.

Just another day’s worth of discussion where we again show, using actual government data, that it is perfectly sane and rational to be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, even if nineteen U.S. Senators are not. More global warming myth busting next month.

July, 2016, Part 1, I Am A Global Warming Doubter and A Believer In Science: El Nino, A New Theory, and a List Of Global Warming Myths

As we have dove into the whole issue of manmade global warming, or its new rebranded title of climate change, we found that Al Gore and people like him were guilty of a number of things:

Ignoring science and realities that did not support their opinions and positions.

Rather than have an adult conversation about climate, these types of advocates like Gore sank to the level of insulting those who dared look at ALL science by calling them a variety of names including racists, homophobes, terrorists, flat earth believers, and other slanderous names.
Continuing to insist that politicians step up their intrusions into our lives with higher taxes, more regulations, and more control of our freedoms and standards of living based on a shaky theory at best.

Thus, let’s see the latest facts and science that prove you can be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, regardless of what Al Gore proclaims:

1) Patrick J, Michaels, writing for the Cato Institute on July 1, 2016, reviewed the latest scientific data as it regards actual air temperatures as actually measured by satellites. His insights are important because a lot of global warming advocates were pointing to the recent hot weather as evidence that global warming was real. Global warming doubters were pointing to historical temperature trends which showed that higher temperatures should be expected since an El Nino weather pattern had formed in the Pacific and that historically, that raises temperatures in the U.S.

The satellites’ recordings include the following highlights:

Mr. Michaels sets up the science with the following El Nino summary: “For months we have been saying that, once they started dropping, the satellite temperatures—our only truly global measure—were going to go down with a vengeance, which is what usually happens after a strong El Niño event spikes a fever. El Niño is a dramatic slowdown (or even a reversal) in the trade winds that diverge surface water away from the South American coast, “upwelling” much colder subsurface waters. When that stops, global temperatures rocket upwards, but that also builds up more and more cold water to be unleashed when the trade winds resume.”
The satellite based temperature readings in the lower atmosphere are already showing a dramatic drop in the past four months as the El Nino starts to break up.
In fact, according to Roy Spencer of University of Alabama-Huntsville, who publishes the satellite data, the drop in temperatures the past in the last two months was the second-largest drop ever.
It missing being the biggest drop the record by only 0.01⁰C.
The existing record was set, wait for it, after the slightly bigger 1997-8 El Niño.
In the tropics, where El Niño is the strongest, the drop was the largest in the entire 37-year record of keeping track of temps by satellite.
Despite the current strong El Nino, the overall change in temps has been basically flat, subject to random error variation, over the past 20 years.

It is so much easier to be a global warming doubter when we have actual, government data to prove our point and so much harder to be a global warming advocate when data destroys pre-conceived notions of what they believe. We will keep an eye on this data over the next six months or so when we expect the fading of El Nino will further reduce overall air temperatures as measured by the satellites.

2) The website, www.ihavethetruth.com, probably does not have the reporting heft or reputation of say the New York Times and the Washington Post. So, it would be easy for global warming advocates to look at this tiny website and pooh pooh anything it says that would contradict what Al Gore told the advocates for global warming. In fact, they would probably ignore the following assertions by this website that was recently published on their site:

The global “truth” that people like Al Gore and Barack Obama like to spout is that 97% of climate scientists say the science is settled and that humanity is the prime suspect in driving up Earth’s temperatures. However, the article points out, correctly, given that we have already reported on this in previous posts, that this number was passed on a too small of a sample size of only 77 people, that was selectively and biasedly drawn from a much larger sample size who responded to a survey. You cannot base government policy and laws on such a small, skewed sample.
There are 35 “lies” in Al Gore’s global warming movie, “An Inconvenient Truth.”
Only 32% of the country is really worried about global warming which is about the same percentage of people that were worried about global cooling back in the 1980s.
If global warming is so bad and that it will eventually wipe out shore communities, why did Al Gore buy a California beach mansion a number of years ago?
Al Gore predicted back in 2008 that the entire North Pole could be melted by 2013 but it is still there and has been growing in ice size over the past few years.

The article goes through many more “facts” about global warming. What gives this obscure website credibility is that it sources every assertion it makes which allows the reader to easily go to the link that is the basis for the assertion, links that take you to far more famous websites and research sources. I think you will be surprised how much information that Al Gore types are not telling you but are suppressing to keep their myths alive.

3) It is no secret that just about every global warming forecast over the past two decades has been a prediction disaster. These models have not come close to even remotely predicting what the Earth’s temperatures would be in the future.

They are so bad that anyone who thinks that today’s global warming forecast models will do any better has just not been paying attention to the disaster that is climate forecasting. All of which raises a very valid question: if you have had grossly incorrect forecasts since day one, why should we believe your forecasts today will do any better job of predicting the future?

But there is a new scientific study and theory out that explains global warming and global cooling in one grand theory. To me, a non-climate scientist, the new theory seems logical and and helps explain why the Earth’s temperatures have been going up (global warming) and then followed by those temperatures going down (global cooling) over the history of the entire Earth. Rather than me trying to explain the theory, let me quote a description of it from a recent article that was on the Daily Caller website: “Now comes a new study which challenges the role that CO2 plays in our planet’s average temperature. The paper, “Modulation of ice ages via precession and dust-albedo feedbacks” by Ralph Ellis, asserts that carbon dioxide’s main mode of operation on planetary climate has to do with its interaction with terrestrial plant life: as CO2 levels decline after an extended ice-age, plants die off in areas such as the high steppes of Mongolia, causing a big upsurge in dust storms which coat the Northern Hemisphere’s ice fields, lowering their reflectiveness (albedo) resulting in the Earth coming out of an ice-age. After about 5,000 years, the planet, now with high CO2 concentrations, goes back into an ice-age as the Earth’s 23,000-year precession cycle swings the Northern Hemisphere away from the Sun.

Ellis’ paper provides an explanation for what the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) called, “one of the major unsolved questions in climate research” — that is, what caused the large CO2 variations in the past and how they were linked to climate. Of course, one would think that such a large unanswered question might be resolved before creating dozens of climate models that all assume a dominant role for CO2 as a direct agent in making the planet warmer or cooler depending on how much of it is present in the atmosphere.”

Here you have a comprehensive, logical, and testable theory about CO2 and how it affects both global warming AND global cooling. It is so much more viable and robust than just taking a few decades of temperature data and trying to extrapolate it out for several more decades. As a trained, degreed statistician, it is my view that the proposal by Mr. Ellis has likely far more statistical validity than the failed, simplistic historic global warming forecast models. And if he is right, than Al Gore et al are wrong and it becomes more realistic to be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, the type of scientific thinking espoused by Mr. Ellis.
