More By The Numbers: Alleged Biden Family Graft, Continued Failure Of Defund The Police, and More

On a periodic basis we do some posts that fall under the theme of “by the numbers.” Rather than trust what the American political tells us about reality, we like to examine the real numbers and the real reality in the world to understand what is actually going on. Relying on politicians, and their cohorts in the media, to tell us what is reality is always a sucker bet. They have their own agendas and goals, usually centering around their needs and self-enrichment. So we need to look at the reality of the numbers to determine what is really going on.

Previous analyses of “by the numbers” can be accessed by entering the phrase in the search box above. This is the third and final post this month where we look at the numbers to truly find out how good, not likely, or bad, most likely, the American political class is doing in managing our tax dollars, protecting our freedoms, and resolving major issues that affect all of us.

1) Biden and other politicians on the left end of the political spectrum have been obsessed for decades about global warming and its rebranded myth, climate change. He and those like him would like to put expensive and rationing restrictions on the everyday activities of every American, hitting the least wealthy the hardest..

But even if man made climate change is real, and we would point to sceince that says it isn’t, whatever the U.S. does to reduce its so-called carbon footprint would not matter, given what other countries are doing:

  • In 2022, the Chinese installed the equivalent of 100 coal fired, carbon spewing plants in their country to increase electricity supplies.

  • This is the equivalent of about 100 gigawatts of new coal generation, an amount of coal based energy production that will continue year in and year out.

  • China already produces about 25% of the world’s climate change-related emissions, about three times what the U.S, produces and that number of 25% is likely to go up as they bring more and more coal fired plants online.

Thus, for the planet to break even carbon-wise, the U.S. would have to close 100 coal fired plants and I doubt that there are that many in existence. Thus, as countries like China and India ignore the myth of man made climate change and continue to roll out more and more coal fired plants, whatever burden Biden and others impose on Americans to fight the myth of climate change it will never be enough to overcome what the rest of the world is doing. 100 coal fired plants brought on line in a single year proves that.

2)Try to follow this money laundering scheme, courtesy of the Biden family:

  • On March 1, 2017, less than  2 months after Vice President Biden left his post in the Federal government, State Energy HK Limited, a Chinese company, wired $3 million to a company owned by someone named Rob Walker.

  • The next day, Walker’s company wired $1,065,000 to a company associated with someone named James Gilliar.

  • James Gilliar is an alleged friend and business associate of the Biden family.

  • Over the next 3 months, Biden family members allegedly received about $1,065,000 in payments sent to different bank accounts from Gilliar

  • Thus, Biden family members allegedly received about one third of the money that was originally sent from a Chinese company to Rob Walker.

  • The money went to at least four different Biden family members and what they did, if anything, to receive this money is unknown at this time.

Sounds like a classic case of money laundering and bribery if the charges are true., The numbers do  not lie.

3)Kari Lake  supposedly lost an election to be governor of the state of Arizona back in last November. However, there were a number of serious voting violations and irregularities that indicate that the fix was in to ensure that she would not win the election, e.g. the person in the Arizona state government supervising election procedures, Katie Hobbs. was her opponent for governor, a clear case of conflict of interest.

Now, a recent Rasmussen poll reinforces her claim that the election was flawed and illegal:

  •  In a poll, Rasmussen found that 52% of the respondents asserted that they voted for Lake.

  • Only 43% asserted they voted for Hobbs.

  • Similar results were found for other Republican candidates who also lost to their Democratic opponents.

  • Over 50% of those polled held a “favorable” view of Lake while only 44% held a “favorable” view of Hobbs.

Another piece of evidence that election fraud is real and likely happened in Arizona back in multiple elective office elections back in November. The numbers, if correctly sampled and answered, do not lie.

4)It seems that not only can we not trust election results, we may also not trust the mainstream press:

  • According to a recent Gallup poll, 50% of those polled disagreed that “national news organizations do not intend to mislead.”

  • Only 25% agreed that news organizations do not mislead.

  • 52% disagreed that national news organizations “care about the best interests of their readers, viewers, and listeners.”

  • Only 23% of those polled agreed with that statement.

More proof that at least in the eyes of Americans, the mainstream media cannot be trusted, a serious threat to our freedoms. America has survived bad and corrupt politicians, Nixon, Carter, Obama, etc. but it cannot survive a biased journalism industry that does not represent truth.

4) The city of Austin was one of those liberal bastions that jumped on the “defund the police” bandwagon and reduced the budget and manpower of its police force. Unfortunately, the city, and other like it such as New York City, Chicago, Portland, and others, had no backup plan to fill the void created by fewer police resources.

Besides reducing manpower of its own police forces and budgets, many of the liberal politicians in these cities also harshly and unfairly criticized their police forces, resulting lower and lower morale. All of which led to skyrocketing crime in these cities.

The numbers in Austin bear this out:

  • It has become increasingly difficult to find resources to serve in all aspects of city law enforcement.

  • The Austin Police Department recently had to pull 460 officers off of tis specialized units, SWAT , homicide, and child abuse, to fill routine patrol vacancies.“We are in a crisis right now,” said APD Assistant Chief Jerry Bauzon last summer when the department faced a deficit of more than 250 positions.

  • And get this: things have  gotten so bad that the average hold time for a 911 call on a busy night to the Austin police is a whopping 30 minutes… not 30 seconds … 30 minutes.

  • Imagine how much additional chaos, crime, and violence can happen in that 30 minute wait window.

  • Experts estimate that it will take 6 to 8 years for the department to catch up with its staffing needs that took such a dramatic hit during the defund the police frenzy.

The numbers prove again that the defund the police movement was and continues to be a disaster with fatal consequences.

5)San Francisco has been one of the worst hit defund the police cities:

  • Back in 2020 the city government stripped out a whopping $120 million out of the city’s police budget over two years.

  • Within one year, city homicides surged up 17% and property crime went up 7%.

  • In one city neighborhood, Tenderloin, violent crime was  up 161% in  one year.

  • The city has about 300 police force vacancies but has less than a dozen new officers ready for deployment.

More proof that defund the police was a great slogan and a horrible policy.

That will do it for today’s numbers and what they prove:

  • Whatever Biden and his ilk do for the myth of climate change, the carbon actions in the rest of the world will overwhelm those efforts.

  • More evidence that are elections are corrupted and frauds.

  • More evidence that we do not trust those in the journalism profession who should be protecting us from corrupt and dangerous politicians.

  • Biden’s family allegedly continues to benefit from that corruption

  • More evidence that defund the police was stupid.

Politicians may lie but the numbers do not.

Biden Spreads Our Tax Dollars Around The World While Americans A Home Suffer

Consider the plethora of problems that are facing Americans these days:

  • On any day there are between 500,000 and 600,000 homeless Americans.

  • Tens of millions of Americans are facing food insecurity problems.

  • Over 100,000 Americans die from drug overdoses every year and that number is violently trending upwards given the tons of fentanyl flowing over the southern border.

  • Upwards of 14 million Americans are about to lose their Medicaid health insurance coverage.

  • The United States Department of Agriculture is going to lower the milk allowance for families who participate in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program For Women, Infants, and Children.

  • Only one in five U.S. households can afford to purchase their own home, given high interest rates caused by Biden’s inflationary policies, the lowest affordability percentage ever.

  • In many cities (e.g. Chicago, Philadelphia, Minneapolis) every single child in every single grade in every single public school is not a reading at grade level or have math skills at grade level.

  • About 20% of American households have fallen behind in paying their utility bills.

  • Prices for life’s basics, food, gas, rents, etc. have risen significantly in the past two years, straining tens of millions of American household budgets.

  • Medicare and Social Security continue to hurtle towards financial insolvency.

Homelessness, hunger, drug addiction, under educated kids, inflation, etc. the issues facing Americans are monumental. And yet,  consider a small fraction of budget items that Biden thinks are a great use of American taxpayer wealth in his upcoming Federal budget fiscal year:

  • $3,000,000,000 to be spent around the world on “gender equity and equility.”

  • An additional $7,000,000,000 to be spent on foreign aid around the world, bringing the total amount in his budget for foreign aid to just over $70,000,000,000.

  • $7,100,000,000 in funding for the Marshall Islands, Micronesia and Palau (I would bet that 99.9% of American  adults could not find any of these three islands on a map.)

Yes, billions and billions of American tax dollars to be spent around the world on unknown islands and stupid, nonessential gender equity programs.

Let’s do some math and find out how much Americans in need could be helped with this wealth that Biden is spreading around the world:

  • Let’s assume that the $3,000,000,000 in gender equity could be spent to help Americans instead.

  • Using Feed America’s statistics, the $3,000,000,000 could have provided over 1,000,000,000 healthy meals to America’s 600,000 homeless citizens.

  • That would come out to roughly 1,700 meals per homeless person, providing each homeless person three meals a day for over 560 days or more than three meals a day for over a year and a half.

  • Another example of a better use of $3,000,000,000: according to the Federal government, it costs, on average, about $6,500 a year to provide drug addiction help to a drug addicted American.

  • Thus, that $3,000,000,000 could provide drug addition help to almost 500,000 Americans, possibly saving untold thousands of American lives a year.

You get the idea, America is hurting. Americans are hurting. And yet Biden and others in Washington have a whole different set of priorities when it comes to spending our tax dollars, preferring to spread that money around the world for stupid, needless and dubious programs when Americans need help next door. Has a President and Presidential administration ever been so tone deaf to the crises facing the country? Doubtful.

March, 2023, By The Numbers: Medicaid Customers Getting The Shaft, Fentanyl Epidemic Getting Worse, and Washington Deficit Spending Reaching Disaster Levels

1) Unfortunately, millions and millions of Americans have to depend on an inefficient and often comical Federal government for their healthcare, whether it is via Medicare or Medicaid. As we have discussed many other times in this blog, both programs, along with Social Security, are hurtling towards financial insolvency and are infested with corruption.

And short term,  the news gets worse at least as it pertains to Medicaid:

  • About 84 million Americans are covered by Medicaid, up from about 64 million in the past three years.

  • The fact that 20 more millions had to seek help from Medicaid for their health insurance is another piece of proof of what a dramatic failure Obama Care was,

  • But as many as 14 million could lose their Medicaid coverage as states begin the audit process of checking for eligibility.

  • One reason someone might lose their Medicaid coverage will be if their current income now exceeds the Medicaid threshold.

Odds are that if someone was at one time eligible for Medicaid because of a low income, they probably are not rolling in money now that they exceed the Medicaid income thresholds. All of which throws them into the Obama Care world where they are unlikely to be able to afford an Obama Care health insurance policy unless their income zoomed higher from their Medicaid eligible income levels.

Plus, they will find with an Obama Care policy the face high deductibles, higher out of pocket costs, fewer doctors to visit, etc. Thus, despite Obama’s lofty promises with his namesake health insurance legislation, healthcare continues to be expensive and out of reach for many American families as about 14 million Americans are about to find out.

2) There is no doubt that more and more Americans are dying every year from drug overdoses. Over the past few years, the main driver of these increased deaths has been the outrageous flow of deadly fentanyl that has cascaded over the southern border after Biden instituted an open border policy along the border with Mexico.

How bad has the increase in fentanyl been? Consider some recent numbers from Arizona:

  • Tempe, Arizona law enforcement authorities recently disclosed the huge amount of illegal drug running in their jurisdiction and what drugs they have intercepted.

  • They intercepted over 4.5 MILLION fentanyl pills heading into the country.

  • They intercepted 140 pounds of fentanyl powder heading into the country.

  • They intercepted 135 kilos of cocaine.

  • They intercepted 3000 pounds of methamphetamines,

  • They intercept 35 kilos of heroin.

  • They intercepted 49 weapons along with $2 million in cash.

  • These drugs came from the Sinola Mexican drug cartel.

  • Nationally, the DEA estimates that in 2022 they intercepted almost 51 million fentanyl pills and 10,000 pounds of fentanyl power, enough to kill over 379 million people.

  • Given that there are about 330 million Americans in the country today, just what was intercepted by the DEA is enough to kill off the entire population of the country with room to spare.

  • Last September more than 1 million fentanyl pills were seized from a single home in Avondale, Arizona.

This is just one fatal  consequence for Americans of Biden’s failed border policies…or lack of border policies. And keep in mind, these are the illegal drugs that were fortuantely seized. Imagine how many illegal drugs made it safely onto the streets of the country and how many Americans are going to die from this flood of illegal drugs and Biden’s failed border policies. Horrifying.

3) A serious problem facing the future financial viability of the country that we have discussed far too many times is the ever expanding Federal government’s national debt. The Federal government has current debt obligations that exceed $31,000,000,000,000 (trillion) dollars. And this debt figure does NOT include the tens of trillions of dollars of unfunded liabilities in the Social Security and Medicare systems.

At some point in time, one or more of the following things will have to happen:

  1. The Federal government will get its financial house in order and stop spending more than what it gathers in taxes.

  2. Benefits to Social Security and Medicare recipients will be cut dramtcially, resulting in financial and medical hardships for tens of millions of Americans.

  3. The debt will eventually crush the faith in the dollar, resulting in hyper inflation and the destruction of our democracy.

Based on past and current political class behavior in Washington, I highly doubt that the first outcome listed above will ever become reality, just look at the current numbers and trends:

  • Based on current Congressional Budget Office forecasts, just the interest on the national debt will be $10.5 TRILLION over the next decade.

  • This means that every man, woman and child in the country will have to pony up about $32,000 just to cover the interest on the national debt, never mind paying down the debt and paying for government services.

  • Interest on the national debt was an eye popping $475 trillion in 2022 alone.

  • Interest as a percentage of the national debt will  rise from 1.9% in 2022 to almost double, 3.6%  in 2033.

  • Payment on interest debt will exceed the amount of money the Federal government spends on national defense by 2028, the amount spent on Medicare by 2044, and the mount spent on Scoail Security by 2050.

  • If current trends hold, by 2053 the annual Federal government budget will spend 40% of tis annual  budget just to service the interest on the debt and will be approximately 7.2% of GDP, more than three times the amount today.

The good news is that these trends are unlikely to become reality. The bad news is they will unlikely become reality because long before 2053, the Federal government will default on its debt obligations, the economy will crash, the dollar will become devalued, hyper inflation will be the reality and our freedoms will be crushed.

Every dollar spent on funding the national debt interest is a dollar that cannot be spent to fix our crumbling infrastructure. Every dollar spent on funding the national debt interest is a dollar that cannot be spent on fixing our broken education processes. Every dollar spent on funding the national debt interest is a dollar that cannot be spent to shore up the failing Medicare and Social Security systems.  And every dollar spent on funding the national debt interest is a dollar that American families cannot spend on living their lives they way they would like.

As always, the numbers do not lie: the country is heading down a road of fiscal disaster, the country is being over run by tons and tons of illegal drugs, drugs that are killing Americans in ever growing numbers, and Medicaid may be the canary in the coal mine when it comes to government not being able to fulfill its promises for Medicaid, Medicare and Social Security.
