May, 2020, Part 14, Political Class Insanity: More Biden Gibberish, More Whitmore Idiocy, Bad Fatal Priorities In Chicago, and Jackson Lee Denies Reality

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) Unfortunately, lately we've had to discuss the ongoing gaffe machine known as Joe Biden. We actually feel sorry for Mr.Biden. He is obviously in cognitive decline since he forgets dates, he forgets where he is, his statements are babbling and nonsensical. He needs treatment and rest and not be put under the strain of running for President. It is, in our opinion, a form of elder abuse.

But nevertheless, if he continues to spout gibberish, then we will continue to point out how he is so unqualified to be President:

• He was recently involved in a live stream discussion with the governor of Pennsylvania.
• Despite being an educated man and a long term politician he seems to not have a grasp of basic historical facts, specifically: “We declared our independence on December the 7th, by the way, you know, and it’s not just D-Day.”
• December 7th was the day Pearl Harbor was attacked, D-Day was on June 6, and if he was referring to his home state’s, Delaware, independence day, that was on June 15.

Ignorant of three major dates in our country’s history, all wrong. No way he can serve as President in his current mental state.

2) Gretchen Whitmer is the governor of Michigan. We have recently discussed the many problems she was having governing her state during the pandemic, basically because of the sutpid rules and guidelines she put in place, guidelines and rules we discussed extensively over the past few weeks. From a stay at home perspective, her rules have probably been some of the most restrictive and oppressive in the country and residents were chafing under the rules and thus, demonstrating for more freedom.

This was followed up by the nerve and gall of her husband asking his marina to put his boat in the water for a Memorial Day boat ride. This was a classic case of a politician’s old creed, “do as I say, not as I do.” You see, his wife, the governor, had declared that no one would be able to go boating, even if they stayed away from other people. Boating was forbidden under her stay at home rules. But apparently her husband thought he was special and that her rules did not apply to him or their family.

This, of course, caused a furor and rather than apologize and take the PR hit, the governor decided to play the citizenry for fools. She claimed that the reason her husband made the call to get their boat in the water, explicitly saying that he was the husband of the governor to get preferential treatment, was to just joke around. He just wanted to have some fun at the marina’s expense, he really did not want to go for a boat ride, it was all just a funny joke.

Really governor, you think we are that stupid to accept that excuse? Assuming that we are that stupid might be worse than assuming you and your family are special and the rules you laid down do not apply to you and your family. Come on, if you are going to lie, at least entertain us with a good lie, not one in which your husband was playing a joke. Really.

3) Lori Lightfoot is the mayor of Chicago and recently she has been doing a pretty bad job. She ordered strict stay at home virus orders for all city residents which shut down just about every business. But she decided she needed her hair done so she forced a hair salon to open its doors only for her so she could look pretty while the rest of the city got shaggier and shaggier. She has been obsessively fixated with shutting down churches and synagogues, denying residents their First Amendment rights, claiming that church gatherings spread the coronavirus even though those churches that defied her put safe social distancing rules in place.

And apparently she has not been able to fix what has ailed the city of Chicago for years, deadly violence that usually ends up killing hundreds of citizens a year and wounding and maiming thousands. The recent Memorial Day violence totals prove how ineffective she has been in this area also:

• According to Paige Frye, writing for the Chicago Tribune on May 25, by Monday morning of Memorial Day weekend, 9 Chicago residents had been shot and killed, making it the deadliest Memorial Day weekend in the city since 2015, i.e. things are getting worse under Lightfoot, not better.
• And this feat of deaths was accomplished despite the mayor’s stay at home edicts.
• Nine had been shot and killed, 39 other residents had been shot, and a number of others suffered stabbing wounds.
• The dead included a 16 year old boy walking down the street.
• Last year 43 residents were shot and seven died from their wounds.
• The nine dead this year are the most fatalities since 12 during the Memorial Day weekend in 2015.

One would have hoped that rather than having vital police resources going around peeking into churches to see if anyone dared to practice their religion under safe distancing guidelines, Lightfoot would have deployed those police resources to trouble spots around the city to stop the anticipated carnage. 

But as often with American politicians, hope is in short supply. Rather than stop the violence on the streets she is obsessed with stopping people from attending church services. Bad, bad set of priorities.

4) Sheila Jackson Lee is a Congresswoman from Texas. She has always ranked in the top five politicians covered by this blog for saying stupid stuff:

• She claimed the Constitution is 400 years old, it is not.
• She claimed that two Vietnams still existed, 40 years after South Vietnam disappeared from the face of the Earth.
• In Congressional testimony she wanted to know if a Mars surface vehicle would be going anywhere near where Neil Armstrong walked on the moon.
• She claimed that her Texas Congressional district was 50 feet below sea level, it is not.

So it should not be a surprise that she made a fool of herself again when she tried to defend the extreme racist comment that Joe Biden recently made. In an interview, Biden took a nasty swipe at the intelligence of all African-Americans when he stated: “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.” In other words, you are forgoing your African-American history and heritage and just plain stupid unless you blindly vote for me over Trump. These are his exact words that were caught on the record of that interview he gave.

Jackson Lee somehow, either because she thinks we are too stupid to know that Biden made an extreme racist comment or she is too dense to understand he insulted her and her constituents, claimed that: “And what I would say to you is that that was not what the vice president said in terms of those words.” 

Say what?! Those are his exact words, it is not something different he said, he said those exact words. You just shake your head when politicians try to tell you that war is peace, up is down, my husband was just making a boating joke, etc., either Orwellian tricks or plain stupidity.

That will do it for the political class insanity today and this month. Usually during a month we are able to cut away from the insanity and cover other topics. Unfortunately, every blog post this month had to do with the idiocy, the greed, the stupidity, and ignorance of those in the American political class and their cronies in the media. That is how bad it has become. With another month right around the corner, we will still have to cover the insanity of the American political class, the sludge just keeps oncoming.

May, 2020, Part 13, Political Class Insanity: No Integrity At CNN, No Common Sense In New York, And Hypocrisy In MIchigan

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) Unfortunately, we have had to point out in an increasing manner how the free press and journalism industry in this country continue to slide down the trail of non-credibility with its slanted news reporting. We have always contended that a free, aggressive, and unbiased news industry in a democracy is crucial to maintaining that democracy and the freedoms that come with it. A free, vibrant and honest press identifies corruption, crime, and ineffective policies and programs of government and politicians.

But those qualities of integrity and unbiased reporting basically no longer exist in this country. Just about every media outlet, every cable news station has chosen a political side and slants news, twists facts, or ignores realities to support their political friends. The latest episode concerns one of the most biased and least credible news outlet today, CNN:

• CNN recently ran its own public opinion poll regarding Trump vs,. Biden for the Presidency.
• The poll was based on a good seized sample of 1,112 adults
• 583 of those sampled were in so-called battleground states where the outcome of voting could go either Democrat or Republican.
• These battle ground states in 2016 had their final results decided by 8 percentage points or less and included Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin.
• According to the poll results, if the election were held today, Biden would win the popular vote but Trump would win every battleground state and its share of Electoral votes.
• Given that CNN hates Trump and Republicans, this did not sit well with CNN management.
• Thus, they decided to bury these results and focus on a secondary question in the poll related to the pandemic where Biden did better than Trump.
• But the poll was designed primarily to see who might win the Presidential vote in November, not who would handle the pandemic better.
• But CNN did not want to give credit where credit was due and where credit was determined by its own poll.
• It got so bad that CNN actually started to bad mouth themselves, saying the sample size was too small, it wasn’t, and attributed the results to a “fluke of random sampling.”

And this is what we mean when we say the journalism industry in this country has lost all credibility. If Biden had won their poll, you know CNN would have trumpeted the results every way it could. Since Trump won the poll, it gets buried deep down on the CNN web page. Democracy needs a free and unbiased press to survive, too bad that CNN is no longer a participant in that noble venture.

2) We have previously discussed the sad reality that Governor Andrew Cuomo and his order to force nursing homes to accept elderly,  coronavirus patients likely resulted in thousands of possibly unnecessary virus deaths in those nursing homes:

• According to an Associated Press analysis, New York state forced nursing homes to accept over 4,500 coronavirus patients after Cuomo issued his order to do so on March 25.
• As elderly nursing home deaths mounted in New York to well over 5,000, it took Cuomo about six weeks to finally reverse his fatal order and error.
• The 4,500 number is an Associated Press estimate, the New York Department of Health refused to release their numbers from an internal survey regarding how many elderly patients were forced into nursing homes, an action that smells of a cover up.
• A further coverup is the new reality that the department changed how it was counting the number of nursing home virus deaths since as of a stealth change in policy: if a nursing home patient caught the virus in the nursing home but died in a hospital, the Department of Health no longer counts that as a nursing home death in order to make itself and Cuomo look less culpable.
• According to news reports, New York is the only state that makes this distinction, i.e. it is trying to reduce what a horrible impact its bad decision had on individuals and nursing homes.

It seems like every decision anyone in power in New York state made in this virus crisis was the wrong one:

• Cuomo sent elderly virus patients to nursing homes to die and infect other susceptible elderly nursing home patients.
• The Department of Health in New York City, as of late January/ early February, said there might be ONE potential case of the virus in the whole city but there is no doubt that by that time there must have been thousands of infected city residents, a gross miss on their part. 
• In the second week of March, Mayor Bill de Blasio was encouraging New Yorkers to go about their business and go out to bars and restaurants like nothing was going on since he assured everyone, grossly incorrectly, that the virus was it pass by food or drink. Which technically was a correct statement, transmission is based on person to person transmissions, going to bars and restaurants was the last thing he should have been encouraging. Horrible and fatal decisions all around.

Nice ineptness in all quarters by those who were supposed to be protecting everyone.

3) During the coronavirus crisis we have discussed the many times that politicians have been caught in that age old, disgusting attitude, “do as a say, not as I do:”

• The mayor of Chicago has shut down the city for the most part including barber shops and hair salons but that did not stop her from violating her own stay at home edict by forcing her hair salon to open for her to get a haircut, something her city residents were forbidden to do.
• The mayor of Beaumont, Texas, needed a manicure so even though she had shut down manicure businesses in her city under her own stay at home order, she forced a nail salon to open only for her to get her nails done.
• The governor of Illinois got all in a huff when questioned if his family had fled the state and his draconian stay at home order to go to the family ranch in Florida, never denying it, but getting upset the question dared to be asked only to admit a few weeks later that, yes, his family had fled the state and his lock down order.

Which brings us to Michigan and its governor, Gretchen Whitmer. Michigan has probably had some of the tightest and zaniest lock down orders from this dictator like governor of any other state:

• Residents were forbidden to buy paint during the lock down….unless they bought it from a store less than 50,000 square feet in size.
• Residents were forbidden to buy garden equipment and seeds….unless they bought it from a store less than 50,000 square feet in size.
• Construction people were forbidden to work on private construction jobs….but were allowed to work on government construction projects.
• And although the vast, vast majority of Michigan virus cases were centered around Detroit, all areas of the state, even those far away from Detroit and experiencing little or no virus activity, were forced to abide by these vicious and unnecessary lock down, stay at home rules.

Alas, while the governor has spent a lot of time bad mouthing and slandering anyone state resident who questioned her reasoning, her husband had other ideas:

• According to Andrew West’s reporting for the Freedom Outpost website, Whitmer’s husband owns a boat.
• Boating is not allowed under his wife’s orders.
• But the Detroit News reported that her husband tried to get his boat placed in the water at their marina for a Memorial Day boating excursion.
• Specifically: "The owner of a Northern Michigan dock company says Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s husband wanted his boat placed in the water before the Memorial Day weekend as Whitmer urged residents not to rush to the region. No longer visible to the public, Facebook posts from NorthShore Dock LLC and its owner, Tad Dowker, focused on what Dowker said was a request last week by Whitmer’s husband, Marc Mallory. The posts have drawn the attention of Republican state lawmakers, who said the Democratic governor’s family may not be following her guidance for the rest of the state."

Gotta love it, the hypocrisy, nerve, and corruption of the American political class knows no bounds when it comes to their greed, their enrichment, their desires.

That will do it for today: hypocrisy in Michigan, idiocy in New York, and biased reporting at CNN. A typical day for the American political class.

May, 2020, Part 12, Political Class Insanity: Wasting Coronavirus Economic Funds, Conflict of Interest In Illinois, and Joe Biden Continues To Babble Incoherently

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

1) The coronavirus has really rocked the employment status of millions and millions of Americans. To offset the financial impact of losing jobs or losing hours, Washington passed an economic stimulus package that was supposed to help individuals, families, and small businesses get by until the economy started to recover.

But like Washington always does, they have no elegance or finesse to address a problem. As a result, politicians in D.C. handed out billions and billions of dollars to entities that have nothing to do with the virus hardships or helping families and small businesses. 

For example, the legislation gave away $25 million of taxpayer wealth to the Kennedy Center in D.C. despite the fact that the large Board of Directors of that entity are mostly millionaires many times over. And despite getting $25 million, the Center laid off most of its employees, the exact opposite of what the legislation was supposed to do.

But that $25 million pales in comparison to another waste of money that was sent out to an organization that was neither a family or a small business:

• Planned Parenthood, the leading entity of abortions in this country, received a whopping $80 million in stimulus checks.
• Obviously, this is not a small business or a laid off American worker.
• According to the legislation, only companies or entities with fewer than 500 employees should have gotten virus economic relief.
• Planned Parenthood has about 1,200 employees which should have disqualified them from receiving this taxpayer wealth.
• Planned Parenthood in California received $7.54 million and the D.C. chapter received $1.3 million.
• This is compared to the average small business payout which was a meager $118,000 to pay its employees.
• Planned Parenthood currently has about $2.2 billion worth of assets, it is not “small” by any stretch of the imagination.
• But Planned Parenthood is a big campaign finance donor to Democrats all over the country which enabled them to continue this little criminal syndicate: Democrats give American taxpayer wealth to Planned Parenthood which then kicks back some of that wealth to individual Democrats running for office, a sweet deal.
• Republican Senators are calling for investigation to find out which government bureaucrat allowed such a travesty and law breaking to happen.

But so typical of the American politician, always look for an opportunity to better oneself either financially or politically, the common, suffering American be damned.

2) J.P Pritzker is the governor of Illinois. We have previously reported on how accusations were made that his family left Illinois to go to their family ranch in Florida to avoid the extreme lock down edicts he forced on Illinois citizens. When confronted with those accusations, he vehemently reacted but never denied that his family had violated his stay at home orders.

The issue went away for a short time but he was finally forced to admit that his family did indeed leave the state for Florida. It turns out his emotional reaction was just a cover to change the topic. He weakly explained that his Florida ranch has a lot of animals that needed to be tended and that was why his family went to the ranch.

But Ptizker is a billionaire, he does not need his family to tend the animals. He could afford to have hired help tend the animals and keep his family in Illinois and not have them violate his own stay at home edict. A classic case of politicians dictating to their constituents to “do as I say, not as I do.” Pathetic.

But Pritzker’s problems might just be getting started:

• Accusations are being made that Pritzker is making money off of the coronavirus crisis when it came to light that his family’s investment firm has a financial stake in two companies doing tests for the virus.
• The Illinois Republican Chairman, Tim Schneider, said that a venture capital family company that is owned by the governor’s brothers “controls the companies that are making millions off the pandemic.”
• Schneider demanded that Pritzker divest any financial interest he had with the family company controlling the testing companies: “Let’s be clear – Governor Pritzker and his family are clearly profiting off the COVID-19 crisis, and it’s appalling. The Pritzker Group controls the companies that are making millions off the pandemic, and the Governor stands to make huge profits.”
• This lines up with Pritzker insisting that the state open up only when there is expanded virus testing.

This could all be a big coincidence. But the appearance of conflict of interest is often just as bad as actual conflict of interest. The governor should divest all assets of both his and his brothers of the testing companies in this time of crisis. To not do so would make him appear just as another greedy, selfish politician.

Add to this reality the reality that he tried to conceal, i.e. he lied, about the whereabouts of his family after they broke his edict on stay at home for state residents. Thus, he now has a track record of deception so you decide whether to believe him that his assets are all in a blind trust and he is not profiting from his brothers’ investment firms or he is again being deceptive as he has done at least once before.

3) We have often pointed out that Joe Biden is increasingly looking like his cognitive abilities are declining at a quite rapid rate. He has trouble having a logical conversation, he often forgets where he is, and he makes comments that are nothing more than senseless babble. We find the fact that given his cognitive decline, the fact that Democrats, friends, and family continue to put him out in public as the Democratic nominee for President is really a form of elder abuse. He needs medical treatment, not the stress and embarrassment of making a fool out of himself.

Nevertheless, we will continue to point out how poorly his communications skills have deteriorated:

• Biden was recently at a campaign stop in his home state of Delaware.
• During the stop he went forth with a dialog that somehow included children stroking his hairy legs in a pool and somehow connected that cockroaches.
• Specifically: “And by the way I sit on a stand, I got hot, I got hairy legs that turn, that, that, that, turn blond in the sun. And the kids used to come up and reach in and pull and rub my legs, and watch the hairs rise up again. So I learned about roaches. I learned about kids jumping up on my lap. And I love kids jumping on my lap.”

What does this mean? I cannot imagine any context that this quote was taken out of making any sense. And Democrats want to make him President? What an embarrassment and what a tragic disaster of elder abuse to continually subject him to this type of situation where ridicule is the only response.

That will do it for today’s insanity: a Presidential candidate that is not mentally fit for the job by any stretch of the imagination, an Illinois governor that does not follow his own edicts but who allegedly profits off of the virus crisis, and more graft and corruption at the expense of the American taxpayer, made even worse that it is allowed to exist in the middle of the coronavirus crisis.

May, 2020, Part 11, Political Class Insanity: Bad Priorities of Kamala Harris, Joe Biden's Racist Comment, and More Fake News From CBS

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

1) Kamala Harris is a U.S. Senator from California. The current state of California is as follows:

• California is home to about half of the country’s homeless population.
• The homeless situation is so bad in Los Angeles that medieval diseases have started to appear such as typhus due to the unsanitary conditions the homeless problem has caused.
• In San Francisco, it is okay to defecate, urinate, and shoot up illegal drugs in the street,
• The power washing away of the public defecation and urination is causing water pollution problems for the state.
• The state’s infrastructure of roads, dams, and bridges is in horrible shape.
• The state is in a huge budget hole when it comes to unfunded liabilities.
• The public schools in California do a terrible job at educating the kids.

The list goes on and on but you get the idea: California is a basket case in so many different, ugly ways. So what is Harris focusing her attention and resources on these days? Helping the homeless in her state? No. Helping improve the schools in her state? No. Helping fix the bridges,roads, and dams in the state? No.

Rather than working on issues that affect millions of people in her state, she and her staff recently spent time and resources drafting a Senate resolution calling for a ban of using the phrase “Chinese Virus” when describing the current coronavirus pandemic:

• She feels it is hate speech that fuels attacks against Asians.
• Of course, she provides no data or research that verifies that calling it the “Chinese Virus” is doing such a thing.
• Her resolution class for the condemning of “all forms of Anti-Asian sentiment as related to COVID-19.”
• This is driven by the fact that the current coronavirus crisis was caused by a virus that originated in Wuhan, China.
• The resolution calls for public officials to denounce any form of associating the virus with China.

Never mind the fact that naming a disease after it origin has been common medical practice for decades, e.g. the Zika virus is named after the Zika Forest, German Measles is named after Germany, Lyme disease originated in Lyme, Connecticut, the Ebola virus is from the Ebola River area, etc. but she does not seem to mind that practice, only this Chinese virus.

Again, like most politicians, Harris has no idea how to fix and remedy the real issues facing her constituents so she busies herself working on this type of nonsense. No American is better off because of this resolution, it just wastes taxpayer money and resources.

2) We could probably write for months on the stupid, inane, hateful, and ignorant things that Joe Biden says. However, we believe that his cognitive abilities are slipping away very quickly everyday and for his family, friends, and Democratic Party members to put him through the grind of a Presidential race, given his deteriorating mental state is a form of elder abuse.

However, from the country’s welfare perspective, having him elected as President would be a disaster. He has trouble putting two thoughts together or having a completely cogent conversation with a reporter or anyone else. Sometimes he forgets where he is or what he is talking about, with his words often turning into senseless babble.

And he may also be a racist, as illustrated by a recent comment he made regarding African-American voters: “If you’ve [African-American voters] got a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or for Trump, then you ain’t black.” Now how racist is that comment? He is basically saying to the African-American community that if you vote for Trump you are stupid. That African-Americans should be treated as a single voting bloc supporting only Democrats and if you refuse to toe the line then you need to denounce your African-American heritage.

He tried to walk that comment back in a later interview but let’s be clear: if Trump had said something like that, the press and the Democrats would never have accepted his apology. And I believe that he meant what he said, that he assumed that Africa-Americans are too dumb to consider alternatives to any Democrat, based on previous racist comments he has made.

A racist comment from a potentially racist candidate. But again, I feel sorry for him, given his poor mental stability and condition. But he should not be President, given that mental loss of acuity, this racial comment, and his history of stalking and inappropriately touching women and young girls.

3) We have always advocated for a strong, free, aggressive and unbiased journalism industry in this country. A free press and unbiased press is essential to any democracy by keeping law breakers, government corruption, and corrupt politicians in line.

However, as we have pointed out many times with many examples, the free press in this country today is a disgrace. In the race for ratings and money, journalists in this country today are more focused on sensationalism and creating controversy than honest, truthful reporting. 

This in turn weakens our democracy and freedoms since the journalists in this country are no longer watchdogs for corruption of public officials, they are now accomplices, picking the side they want to see “win” and biasing their reporting towards their “side.”

Another example of sensationalism and biased reporting recently arose concerning CBS News:

• CBS News posted a story about a supposedly ICU nurse who was hysterically crying over poor hospital working conditions relative to the coronavirus in a video she had created.
• The nurse was so upset about working without a face mask when treating virus patients that she claimed she had to leave her job and was so distraught over the situation.
• Specifically: “America is not prepared, and nurses are not being protected. I quit my job today. I went into work and I was assigned to a COVID patient on an ICU unit that has been converted to a designated COVID unit. None of the nurses are wearing masks.”
• CBS took the nurse’s video and added music and captions to it and the story got a lot of press coverage and recognition for CBS News.
• Unfortunately, CBS News either did not vet the validity of the ICU nurse’s story or knew it was false but still ran the story and the associated video anyway.
• You see, the whole thing, the video, the crying, the hysterical crying, the claims of not having the right equipment to treat patients, was a fake.
• An investigation by the Federalist, found out that the woman in the video goes by the name of Imaris and is a so-called social media influencer on Instagram.
• Before CBS ran the video, Imaris had posted on her Facebook page that she has anxiety and bi polar depression and that SHE HAD NOT WORKED AT HER HOSPITAL FOR OVER A YEAR.
• Obviously, having not worked at the hospital in over a year means that she had not worked at her hospital job since the corona virus hit which means that she was NOT “assigned to a COVID patient in an ICU” and she was NOT “assigned to a COVID unit.”

So the story is a fake, the nurse is a fake relative to her story, and trust in the mainstream press takes another awful credibility hit. Why CBS News did not check out the story like the Federalist did is something we will never know. Was CBS just lazy in not verifying the nurse’s story or were they complicit with the nurse in putting out what is really “fake news’ that had no basis in reality. Recall in a previous post we pointed out that CBS News had posted a video about a New York City hospital ICU unit which turned out to be an Italian ICU unit, more fake news.

When you see stories and sloppy reporting like this, it brings into doubt the truthfulness and validity of any reporting by any of the mainstream press outlets. And that is why journalists today are no longer the protectors of democracy, they have become the enemies, the undercover enemies of truth, justice, and integrity. 

Or as the Federalist correctly points out: “Shame on CBS News for not vetting the video and shame on this woman for using nurses and doctors on the front line to try and boost her internet fame.”

That will do it for today’s insanity: CBS News and its fake news, racism from Joe Biden and bad priorities of an inept Washington politician, Senator Kamala Harris.

May, 2020, Part 10, Political Class Insanity: Ocasio-Cortez Dodges Taxes, NYC Residents Dare To Go Swimming and CNN Conitnues To Be Silly

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

To review past posts on this insanity and idiocy, just click on the first few posts in each month listed to the right of this page. After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) One of the most ridiculous members to ever be elected to Congress is current Congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. We used to devote entire posts to her ignorant, racist, and inane comments and actions but after a while it just got too repetitive and boring.

But let’s talk about her latest escapade:

• Before we get into the details, keep in mind that she has always hated wealthy people, the top 1%.
• She wants to fund her socialism/communism plans by taxing the wealthy at the unreal and counterproductive level of 70% on their income. {Note: we have already shown that her numbers make no sense and would never come close to funding the massive government programs she supports.}
• But it turns out that all the while that she was wanting to put onerous taxes on the rich, she was allegedly evading owed taxes back in her home state of New York.
• News reports claim that she has not paid a seven year old tax bill from a failed business venture she was involved in.
• The business was called Brook Avenue Press, a publishing business that sought artists and writers from urban areas to help create a good image of the Bronx.
• The state of New York dissolved the business in 2016 after the business failed to pay back taxes.
• The taxes due are $2,088.
• A spokesperson for her told the press that the taxes would be paid right away back in 2019 but a year later they are still not paid.

Just another case of a politician's creed, “do as I say, not as I do.” They want to continually raise our taxes while they continually try to weasel out of the taxes they owe and which they have already put in place. And it is not as if she cannot afford the $2,088. She earns over $170,000 a year as a member of Congress and has been photographed at public events wearing designer clothes that cost over $3,000 an outfit. The hypocrisy is just amazing.

2) A few posts ago we talked about the insanity and stupidity of the New Jersey governor and government authorities relative to a coronavirus issue. New Jersey has been hit quite hard by the virus and the residents have been under a strict stay at home edict for a long time. The governor recently loosened the restrictions as the crisis has eased and opened up the state parks so that residents could get out and about in the fresh air.

But at the same time they went stupid since they locked up the restrooms in the state parks, forcing visitors to do their business outside in the woods. This resulted in the governor and others in the state government being aghast that this would happen and leaving the rest of us thinking how stupid can you be to open the parks but lock the rest rooms.

But apparently this virus stupidity is not unique to New Jersey:

• NYC has also been under strict lock down edicts because it has become the center of the virus outbreak in the country.
• But Mayor Bill de Blasio recently loosened restrictions since the city’s virus crisis was easing.
• This easing involved opening up the city beaches.
• But at the same time the mayor threatened those that dare go to the beach AND go into the water: “Anyone tries to get in the water they’ll be taken right out of the water.”
• He went on to say that swimming, parties, BBQs and sports would not be allowed on the beaches.

Much like the inane politicians in New Jersey who opened the parks, locked the restrooms and were then surprised that people had to go to the bathroom, what did de Blasio think was going to happen when people went to the beach after being cooped up for months? They would go into the water, they would throw a Frisbee or two, they would sit with friends. If these are the restrictions you are going to be placed on cabin fever crazed residents, then why open the beaches and state parks at all? The idiocy and lack of common sense of American politicians continues to amaze and often disturb the rest of us.

I am looking forward to seeing police officers wading into the ocean and trying to retrieve and arrest law-abiding citizens who have dared to go into the water while at the same time de Blasio and other politicians like him across the country have released from prison convicted felons of all sorts. The dichotomy will be epic.

3) CNN was once the shining example of network news. It had morals, integrity, and was basically in the business of reporting the news. It has now degenerated into a biased, unethical, and useless television entity that has lost any sense of being fair and unbiased.

And the numbers prove that Americans have realized how biased and mostly useless its reporting has become. The cable viewership levels of CNN have plummeted over the past few years, so much so that many nights it has fewer viewers than the Food Channel and the Hallmark channel. Think about that for a moment: on any given night it is highly likely that CNN has fewer viewers than Cupcake Wars or some schmaltzy love story on the Hallmark channel.

More recently the channel has embarrassed itself by waiting over three weeks to even begin addressing the Tara Reade/Joe Biden accusations, namely because CNN loves Democrats and liberals and will protect them e.g. much like they protected Hilary Clinton during her run for the Presidency. 

They then concocted a stunt that had one of its anchors go into home quarantine for two weeks because he supposedly had gotten the coronavirus. But in the middle of his “quarantine” he was seen outside frolicking with his kids and wife in the Hamptons on a piece of property he was interested in buying. So much for the “quarantine.”

And most recently, they embarrassed themselves again:

• Greta Thunberg is a 16 year old Swedish kid who the climate change advocates have put forth as their star witness supporting the mostly mythical man made climate change industry.
• Great has no science degrees, no experience working in the sciences, or has parents who might have educated her about climate science.
• She is a public relations stunt of the climate change crowd.
• Thus, her climate change credentials are virtually non-existent.
• But somehow CNN thought it would be a good idea to have her be a panel member on a coronavirus town hall meeting they were broadcasting.
• Much like her climate change gig, she has no education, training, or medical experience and yet, CNN thought she would make a good member of the virus panel.
• One Twitter user summed this insanity quite nicely: “Cuz a teenager best known for skipping school is who CNN considers an expert virologist.”

Is it any wonder that hundreds of thousands of viewers have abandoned their CNN viewing habits, given that this is what the network thinks is valid news reporting: a sixteen year teenage girl is set up as some kind of expert on climate change AND the coronavirus!?

That will do it for today: CNN continues to lose viewers and integrity as an unbiased news organization, de Blasio cannot understand why cooped up city residents might actually go into the water when he opened the beaches in NYC, and Ocasio-Cortez’s hypocrisy just rolls on.
