August, 2019, Part 3, Politicians Say The Darndest Things: More Joe Biden, More Ocasio-Cortex, More Stupidity and Idiocy

We have done previous posts under the theme of “politicians say the darndest things.” These posts highlight the idiocy and inane comments that American politicians actually say out loud, which makes us question how broken our political processes have become that people in powerful positions can be so inept and stupid.

Some of those previous posts include the following links:

Nancy Pelosi has usually been the star of these posts, having said some of the most out of touch and inane things that any politician has said.

1) Okay, the last two posts in this theme were dedicated to stupid and delusional things that Joe Biden has said over time and recently. I thought we were done with his inane comments after those two posts but let me sneak in a late breaking misquote from him.

The G7 economic conference just ended over in France. It is a get together of the seven largest western economic powers and their leaders to discuss trade, economic policies, etc. It has been in the news for the past couple of weeks and it happens every year, even during the time Biden was Vice President.

This is what he had to say about the G7 conference that just ended: “We’re in a position now where, if you think about it, he just came back from the G8. I’m going to say something that will not take as much time but it’s going to sound too self-serving. If I have any expertise, it’s American foreign policy. It’s what I’ve done my whole career. It’s what I’ve devoted my academic and my political experience to.”

Two things wrong with this delusion Joe:
  • First of all, it is and has been the G7, not the G8, conference for a number of years. Make a mistake on that simple concept and it is hard to take anything else you then said seriously.
  • As far as you being a foreign affairs expert, that is not the opinion of former Defense Secretary under Obama, Robert Gates, who believes that Biden was “wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades.”
My goodness, does this politician ever get anything correct?

2) Okay, let’s move on to other wacky things that other wacky American politicians have been saying. We used to do a regularly occurring theme dedicated to the stupid and plain wrong things that NewYork Congresswoman Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez is constantly saying. But to be honest with you, there was so much nonsense coming from her that we gave up on that theme, it was just too much tripe to follow.

But let’s drop in on her and see what she is now babbling about recently. Keep in mind that she was a bartender before she got elected to Congress. She has a bachelor’s degree from college that has nothing to do with science, climate change, etc.

Her lack of experience, expertise, education, etc. in science did not stop her from warning us that if the glaciers should melt we would be exposed to diseases that are frozen inside these melted glaciers: “There are a lot of diseases that are frozen in some of these glaciers that scientists fear that there is a potential that a lot of diseases could escape these melted glaciers. Things that were frozen for thousands of years, and that they’re going to get into our water, and that humans could contract them, and they’re going to be diseases that are thousands of years old that have vectors that we are not prepared for, that we have never seen. Um…and so that’s a concern…Even if there are no diseases frozen at all in these glaciers, you have diseases that are spread by mosquitoes, and now mosquitoes are starting to fly further north that carry diseases like malaria, and a whole slew of other things.”

Oh my gosh, where to start with this nonsense:
  • First of all what “scientists” and what diseases? If you are going to try and panic the public let’s start with some basic knowledge of what in the world you are talking about.
  • Of all the global warming research and writing we have done, this is the first time I have ever heard of prehistoric diseases hiding in the glaciers, I do not believe even Al Gore has tied to sell this can of worms.
  • By the way, some glaciers have been melting for decades with no ill effects on humans Congresswoman. Thus, where are these diseases hiding, even deeper inside the glaciers?
  • Your second sentence runs on for 49 words, is it not possible for you, a college graduate, to be a little more coherent and elegant in your ideas?
  • So first you tell us that there are bad diseases in the glaciers, “There are a lot of diseases that are frozen in some of these glaciers” but two sentences later you tell us that “Even if there are no diseases frozen at all in these glaciers.” So what is it, there are diseases in the glaciers as you say in your first sentence or there are not diseases in the glaciers as you suppose in your third sentence. Let’s make up your mind.
  • You then switch to far flying super mosquitos in the same train of thought, so what is the point you are trying to make, disease riddled glaciers or the mosquitos, let’s stay focused Congresswoman.
  • And finally, a “whole slew of other things” is not really scientific...or even worthy of a college graduate’s writing.
Now you see why we stopped following her antics and silly quotes, they are just so bad, so disjointed, and usually so wrong.

3) California Congresswoman Maxine Walters is a millionaire because she is a Washington politician. She has made her daughter very rich also by diverting campaign contributions to her daughter’s company. She represents one of the poorest Congressional districts in the country out in Los Angeles.

She recently had a photo op tour of the ghetto she represents to highlight a piece of legislation she is pushing, the “Ending Homelessness Act.” While there, Walters came across a constituent who was down on her luck by trying to make a living by selling books. Walters met the woman and decided to purchase a book to help out this homeless woman: “And she’s [the homeless woman] so creative. She set up a really nice environment here, but she’s got all these educational books. And guess what? I bought the … Langston Hughes book, $10."

Then Walters issued this ridiculous quote, “I need change.” The book was $10 and Walters only had a $20 bill. Rather than let the poor book seller keep the change, which would probably would be considered a windfall in her mind, millionaire Congresswoman Maxine Walters insisted on getting change. Pathetic.

4) Our last stupid politician quote today comes from Congresswoman, Debbie Mucarsel-Powell who issued the following insane observation: Illegal immigration is “really not affecting American people.” Really Debbie, let’s talk about some realities:
  • The American taxpayer pays over $100 billion a year to handle the illegal immigration problem from, detention centers, to law enforcement, to housing, to food stamps, to crime, to funding pregnancies of illegal immigrants. That is $100 billion that could help out the millions of Americans that are homeless, hungry and drug addicted, $100 billion that could positively impact a lot of American people.
  • Recent Department of Justice statistics showed that 64% of Federal criminal arrests are of non-citizens, most of which are likely illegal immigrants. I am sure that the rapes, murders, robberies and other crimes these 64% committed did affect a lot of American people.
  • Federal arrests of non-citizens have jumped over 200% in just the past 20 years.
  • The American person who was allegedly raped by four illegal immigrants, who were recently arrested in a Maryland County, was probably affected.
  • Kate Steinle and her family were affected by an illegal immigrant who shot and killed her despite being arrested and deported multiple times.
  • Dominic Moons and his family were affected by an illegal immigrant who killed him.
  • Thousands and thousands of other American families who had loved ones killed, raped, and injured over the years by illegal immigrants were affected.
What a stupid and heartless statement to make Congresswoman.

Yes, it is not only Joe Biden who says the most stupid, inane, incorrect, and heartless things, it is an affliction that affects most American politicians.

August, 2019, Part 2, Politicians Say The Darndest Things: The Idiotic, Delusional, False, and Inane Comments of Joe Biden, Second Set

We have done previous posts under the theme of “politicians say the darndest things.” These posts highlight the idiocy and inane comments that American politicians actually say out loud, which makes us question how broken our political processes have become that people in powerful positions can be so inept and stupid.

Some of those previous posts include the following links:

https://loathemygovernment.blogspot.com/2010/10/politicians-say-darndest-things.html

https://loathemygovernment.blogspot.com/2015/07/july-2015-part-1-politicians-say.html

https://loathemygovernment.blogspot.com/2015/07/july-2015-part-2-politicians-say.html

Nancy Pelosi has usually been the star of these posts, having said some of the most out of touch and inane things that any politician has said. But a close second has been former Senator and Vice President Joe Biden. And now that Biden is running for President, it seems that Pelosi’s reign of most inane quote machine is in danger, given some of the most ridiculous statements he has uttered lately:

1) For those younger readers, George Wallace was a Democratic governor of Alabama back in the 1960s. He was a devout racist and segregationist and tried everything possible to oppose integration and the Federal government’s attempts to enforce integration in his state.

He actually ran for President in 1968 before an attempted assassination attempt took him out of the race. Despite his open and long standing racism, this is what Biden thinks of him: “I think the Democratic Party could stand a liberal George Wallace — someone who’s not afraid to stand up and offend people, someone who wouldn’t pander but would say what the American people know in their gut is right.”

In this time of heightened sensitivity to race and sex and other politically incorrect subjects, is it really a good idea to glorify a devout segregationist? Honest or stupid? I do not know.

2) Staying with the whole racism angle, consider what many thought was an overt racist statement from Biden: “We have this notion that somehow if you’re poor, you cannot do it. Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.” By implication, Biden thinks that only non-white kids are poor and white kids are never poor, stereotyping several major races.

He then tried to get out of the racist statement and just ended up rambling on with very little coherence: “Wealthy kids, black kids, Asian kids. No, I really mean it. But think how we think about it. We think how we’re going to dumb it down. They can do anything anybody else can do, given a shot.”

He continues to dig the racist hole with this follow up statement. Only white kids are wealthy, then there are black kids and brown kids. What a mess.

3) We have often asked the question, after reviewing an inane statement from Nancy Pelosi, what color is the sky in Pelosi’s world? That is how out of touch she seems to be at times, completely out of this world perspective and associated quote.

But we could also ask Biden the same question after he recently uttered this confusing, and impossible, statement: “We choose truth over facts.” Huh? In our world, truth is defined by facts. In what world that Biden refers to are facts and truth disconnected? Makes no sense.

4) At a recent political rally in Iowa, a young lady reporter asked Biden how many sexes there were. Biden first answered the question by stating there are three sexes which, of course, makes no sense. But he then grabbed the young lady by the arm and threateningly told her not to mess with him, a totally inappropriate and un-Presidential move, threatening a young American woman reporter for simply asking a question...to which he gave a stupid answer.

5) Things must be getting a little tense within the Biden campaign, given his gaffes and idiotic comments. How tense? The campaign wheeled out Biden’s wife, Jill Biden, to issue the following scary quote: “So yes, you know, your candidate might be better on, I don’t know, healthcare than Joe is, but you’ve got to look at who’s going to win this election, and maybe you have to swallow a little bit and say, ‘OK, I personally like so and so better,’ but your bottom line has to be that we have to beat Trump.”

Say what? We have to “swallow a little bit”? Sounds like you have to vote for her husband even if it gags you. Hardly a description of someone who is completely under control and is always lucid, two traits you want in a President.

6) Recently Biden was campaigning in Keene, New Hampshire. But he thought he was in Vermont: “I’ve been here a number of times. The last time I think was all the way back in 2014, but I’ve been here before that. I love this place. Look, what’s not to like about Vermont in terms of the beauty of it?”

If this was the only time that Biden screwed up it would be no big deal. I assume he is traveling a lot and so an isolated mix up is no big deal. Heck, Obama once said he had campaigned in all 57 states.

But it is one gaffe and inane idea and comment after another, this just geography gaffe makes the pile of screwups a little higher and not unexpected.

7) Biden was Vice President during the Obama years, one of the most lawless and disrespect of the Constitution and Bill of Rights of any other Presidency. We documented the long list of how many times Obama and Biden abused the rule of law in this country in the following post:

https://loathemygovernment.blogspot.com/2016/11/retro-2-obama-presidency-end-of-error.html

But Biden obviously has a very short memory because at a recent campaign stop in Iowa he issued the following hypocritical statement about the Trump Presidency: “So, folks, think about the Constitution. What was it designed to do? It was designed to separate power so it couldn’t be abused. The Congress is as powerful as the president. The court’s as powerful as the Congress. The president’s as powerful as the court. And what’s this president do? He is engaging in a gigantic abuse of power.”

Seriously Joe? Under you and Obama the Federal government via the IRS denied First Amendment rights to millions of Americans. By tracking and spying on the electronic communications of most Americans you violated the Fourth Amendment. By issuing murder edicts on Americans citizens you deprived those Americans of due process. By ignoring multiple tenets of Obama Care you abused the Constitution. By not enforcing existing laws you violated the Constitution. It was the Obama administration that was a gigantic abuse of power.

Don’t believe me? Consider the opinion of liberal law professor Garrett Epps: “Even for those like me who admire Barack Obama, the constitutional record [of the Obama administration] is disturbingly mixed. Obama leaves the Constitution weaker than at the beginning of his terms.”

So when even legal experts and fans of Obama believe that he and you left the Constitution weaker than before, please do not tell me that Trump is abusing power. You were part of a disgraceful abuse of the rule of law and the Constitution. The country does not need a continuation of abuse that you and Obama started.

Delusional, dishonest, forgetful, inane. This is what is coming out of Biden’s mouth these days, hardly Presidential timber. The country needs more than what Biden is saying.

But the sad thing is that it is not only Biden that is saying wacky, untruthful, and dangerous things as you will see in our next post.

August, 2019, Part 1, Politicians Say The Darndest Things: The Idiotic, Delusional, False, and Inane Comments of Joe Biden, First Set

But a close second has been former Senator and Vice President Joe Biden. And now that Biden is running for President, it seems that Pelosi’s reign of most inane quote machine is in danger, given some of the most ridiculous statements he has uttered lately:

1) Sadly, in February, 2018 there was a tragic school shooting Parkland, Florida. Keep in mind that Biden was no longer Vice President in 2018 but that did not stop him from stating the following strange quote: “Those kids in Parkland came up to see me when I was Vice President.”

He went on to claim that, as Vice President, he met with the families of the shooting. Which was wrong in that not only was he not Vice President at the time but he also did not meet with the families of the victims while he was Vice President.

Which brings us to the question that we have never answered: do politicians say this stupid stuff because they actually believe it or do they think we are that stupid and will believe whatever tripe they say?

In this case, one has to worry if Biden is delusions, senile, or worse. How can he possibly think that he met with these people as Vice President when he was not Vice President?

2) According to the Washington Examiner: “Biden claimed in multiple speeches in 2008 that he knew where Osama bin Laden was hiding because his helicopter had been ‘forced down’ nearby in the mountains of Afghanistan.”

Specifically Biden said: “If you want to know where al Qaeda lives, you want to know where bin Laden is, come back to Afghanistan with me.”

But the truth is that his helicopter landed in order to wait out some bad snow weather. His chopper never came under fire, it was not forced down, and as history shows, Bin Laden was probably already in Pakistan by then and nowhere near Biden.

This lie was so bad that even John Kerry, a person not unfamiliar with saying stupid things, made fun of Biden: “Other than getting a little cold, it was fine, We were going to send Biden out to fight the Taliban with snowballs.”

3) According to an article on the Godfather Politics website, back in 2008 Biden claimed that he and his family were coal miners: “I hope you won’t hold it against me, but I am a hard-coal miner, anthracite coal, Scranton, Pennsylvania.” But in reality, neither him nor his family were ever coal miners.

4) Back in 2007, Biden claimed he was ‘shot at’ while visiting the Green Zone during the Iraq War, the heavily guarded area in the middle of Baghdad near the United States embassy is based, as reported by the Washington Examiner. There is no evidence that this ever happened to Biden.

5) Biden, during his failed run for President back in 2008, said that he confronted Serbian strongman and war criminal, Slobodan MiloÅ¡ević, and called him a “damn war criminal” to his face. But no one who attended the 1993 meeting between between MiloÅ¡ević and the American delegation, though, can verify Biden said anything close to this.

6) Biden has previously claimed that he was a participant at sit-ins at segregated restaurants and movie theaters to fight segregation: ”When I was 17 years old, I participated in sit-ins to desegregate restaurants and movie houses in my state, and my stomach turned upon hearing the voices of Faubus and Barnett, and my soul raged upon seeing the dogs of Bull Connor.”

Again, there is no written, photo, or eye witness accounts that can verify this. Plus, Biden eventually conceded that he never was very active in any civil rights protests.

7) Biden has claimed that he severely criticized George Bush during long private meetings in the Oval Office: “I remember President Bush saying to me one time in the Oval Office, ‘Well, Joe,’ he said, ‘I’m a leader.’ And I said: ‘Mr. President, turn around and look behind you. No one is following.’” But again, there is no proof or evidence that any such meeting, long or short, EVER happened when Bush was President and Biden was a Senator.

8) But Biden’s lies and fantasies are no restricted to past actions and quotes. He recently stated that Martin Luther King and Bobby Kennedy were assassinated in the 1970s. But anyone with any kind of education, or a non-impaired memory, knows that these killings occurred in the 1960s.

9) Unfortunately, the country recently suffered through two mass shootings, one in El Paso, Texas and the other in Dayton, Ohio. Or so we through since Biden recently stated that the mass shootings occurred in “Houston and Michigan.” Not even close to El Paso and Dayton.

10) After the last Democratic Presidential debate Biden mashed together his campaign’s text id with his website when he told viewers to “go to Joe 30330.”

11) According to the book written by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin about the 2008 Presidential campaign, Game Change, they report that Obama once stated: “How many times is Biden gonna say something stupid?”

That will do it for Biden’s lies, delusions, mental breakdowns and the darndest things he has said for today. And to think that this man actually wants to be President, a very scary prospect. And what is even scarier: we are not done with his idiocy and inane quotes, our next post continues to prove that there is no way this man is solid and lucid enough to run the country.

August, 2019, Part 2, I Am A Global Warming Doubter and A Believer In Science: Solar Activity Predicts A Coming Ice Age and NASA Proves the South Pole is Getting Colder, Not Warmer

Every month we have enough material to return to a continuing theme in this blog, namely that “I am a global warming doubter AND a believer in science.” This became of interest because of people like Al Gore who fanatically and verbosely claimed that you had to be an idiot to not believe in manmade global warming. It has been my life belief that anyone that is that loud and that obnoxious is hiding something, that rather than argue facts and reality it is better to beat down and insult anyone who disagrees.

As we have dove into the whole issue of manmade global warming, or its new rebranded title of climate change, we found that Al Gore and people like him were guilty of a number of things:
  • Ignoring science and realities that did not support their opinions and positions.
  • Rather than have an adult conversation about climate, these types of advocates like Gore sank to the level of insulting those who dared look at ALL science by calling them a variety of names including racists, homophobes, terrorists, flat earth believers, and other slanderous names.
  • Continuing to insist that politicians step up their intrusions into our lives with higher taxes, more regulations, and more control on our freedoms and standards of living based on a shaky theory at best.
To see the past posts and the multitude of evidence that we have compiled that showed it is perfectly okay to be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, enter the phrase "global warming doubter” in the search box above or go through the monthly historical post listed on the right side of this page.

Thus, let’s see the latest facts and science that prove you can be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, regardless of what Al Gore proclaims.

1) We have previously discussed the reality and research done by the CERN Institute, the premier scientific research facility in the world. Their research found that the warming and cooling of the Earth could be proven to be in a causation relationship with the activity on the sun’s surface, that Earth’s warming and cooling had nothing to do with mankind and its carbon footprint. That discussion can be accessed at:

And now there has been more research completed that helps verify the CERN findings, as discussed in a recent article on the Self Reliance website:
  • Valentina Zharkova is a Russian scientist and professor who teaches in England at the University of Northumbria.
  • Apparently, she was one of the few scientists that predicted that the solar cycle 24 would be weaker than the solar cycle 23, being one of only two out of 150 who got it correct, giving her some scientific cred.
  • According to the article, Ms. Zharkovais has a success rate of over 90% in her forecasts.
  • Based on her research relative to the sun and its behavior, she predicts a coming “little” Ice Age that will begin in 2020 and run for about 350-400 years.
  • The article points out that the last time Earth experienced an ice age, two of the magnetic fields of the sun went out of phase.
  • This time, apparently, all four magnetic fields of the sun are out of phase leading her to conclude that an Ice Age is coming.
  • According to the article: “A ‘Little Ice Age’ which caused severe winters in the 17th Century could return in five years’ time due to a predicted fall in solar activity. This possibility was discussed during the National Astronomy Meeting in Llandudno, Wales, by Prof Valentina Zharkova…[who] described the research as ‘the first serious prediction of a reduction of solar activity that might affect human lives’. If the decrease in solar activity takes place, it could result in a period similar to the ‘Maunder minimum’ of 1645 to 1700. During this period, there were only about 50 sunspots on the surface of the Sun instead of the usual 40-50 thousand, resulting in very severe winters and cold summers.”
  • During this previous “little” Ice Age, major rivers around the world froze including the Moscow River which was frozen for six months every year.
I will not go into the scientific details that the article lays out but the professor’s research can be accessed at:

I am not a solar scientist expert but from reading what the professor and her team have done, it appears to be very sound, reasonable and good research based on actual realities and numbers. It also supports the work that CERN did about a decade ago. And the beauty of her research is that we do not have to wait decades to see if her research was right, she says things are going to start to cool down next year.

This is the opposite we have always had to do with global warming advocate research and forecasts. These are always in the Chicken Little mode, i.e. if we do not take radical steps now we will all die in 10/20/30 years. Given that 10/20/30 years later these global warming advocate forecasts all proved to be wrong, why not take a hard look at Ms. Zharkova’s research and forecasts and the CERN work in tandem, because, really, how much worse could they be than the total failure of global warming advocates’ predictions?

2) One of the favorite doomsday scenarios of global warming advocates is that excessive use of carbon energy sources by mankind will result in the melting of the ice caps, which will flood coastal areas around the world. Thus, we need to take draconian and very expensive steps to reduce our use of carbon based fuels.

But recent NASA studies dispute the fear that the ice caps are melting at a dramatic rate as a result of manmade global warming and may actually be increasing in size:
  • A NASA research study published in October, 2015 by NASA Glaciologist Jay Zwally concluded that the south pole is actually gaining ice mass, not losing it as predicted by global warming advocates.
  • Specifically: “A new NASA study says that an increase in Antarctic snow accumulation that began 10,000 years ago is currently adding enough ice to the continent to outweigh the increased losses from its thinning glaciers. The research challenges the conclusions of other studies, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s (IPCC) 2013 report, which says that Antarctica is overall losing land ice."
  • A soon to be published follow up study by Zwally also reaches the same conclusions, that Antarctica is gaining ice mass, not losing it.
  • Another study by NASA, published on January 1, 2018, showed that West Antarctica has been gaining ice mass for many years.
  • And yet a third NASA study that was published on July 19, 2018 found that the south pole has been steadily cooling and not warming for many years.
  • And finally, a fourth NASA study, published on February 20, 2018, concluded that the volume of glaciers in East Antarctica sliding into the ocean has not been increasing over time but has been stable, counter to what global warming advocates predicted...and hoped for.
  • While the ice mass of the south pole may be changing from one side to the other, the total amount of ice mass appears to be increasing and not decreasing, contrary to global warming forecasts.
  • And it is not just NASA that is upending ice cap forecasts and causes.
  • A recent research study by Rhode Island scientists found that volcanic activity underneath the western part of Antarctica may be the cause of the shifting ice mass, not man made global warming.
  • Another NASA study also studied volcanic activity, this time under Greenland’s glaciers, and found similar results to the Rhode Island south pole research that glacier melting activity may be geological and not manmade.
The above referenced studies were compiled in the following article which has a ton of links to the actual research results:

Another day another set of reasons, courtesy of real scientists doing real research unburdened by politicians’ pipe dreams, to prove once again it is perfectly logical to be a global warming doubter and a believer in science.

August, 2019, Part 1, I Am A Global Warming Doubter and A Believer In Science: More Global Warming Forecast Failures

To see the past posts and the multitude of evidence that we have compiled that showed it is perfectly okay to be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, enter the phrase "global warming doubter” in the search box above or go through the monthly historical post listed on the right side of this page.

Thus, let’s see the latest facts and science that prove you can be a global warming doubter and a believer in science, regardless of what Al Gore proclaims.

1) So many times we have shown that global warming models have always overestimated the impact of mankind on the climate or got it completely wrong. By now the ice caps should have melted, the glaciers should be watering holes, etc., etc., etc. But what the models predicted never seemed to happen.

But a recent article from the Freedom News Report website may have cast some light on why these models are always wrong:
  • The first United Nations doom and gloom global warming model that predicted the end of humanity from manmade global warming stated in June, 1989 that we would all die within ten years or by 1999.
  • Twenty years after our forecasted demise, and thirty years after the fatal prediction, we are still alive and kicking.
  • How could a forecast model have been so wrong?
  • It turns out that two teams of real scientists, one in Finland and one in Japan, may have the answer after they analyzed every major government global warming statistical model they could including models from NOAA, NASA and the United Nations.
  • Their analyses found that these models omitted a very important factor in their predictive algorithms.
  • The commonality across all of these models was that they did not take into account the impact that clouds have on weather and climate.
  • According to the article: “The Finnish and Japanese scientists discovered that every single government entity that used climate modeling to predict weather doom totally forgot to account for how clouds affect temperature, weather and climate. When the real [Finnish and Japanese] scientists used the exact same government climate models and plugged CLOUDS into the equation… it turns out that manmade global warming does not exist at all, in any projected future timeline.”
Oops, forgot about a major factor hanging out over all of us. And yet liberal politicians will continue to warn us about our impending doom from global warming, e.g. Congresswoman’s Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s recent inane quote that we were all going to die from climate change in ten years. Sorry, Congresswoman, we lived through that movie in 1989 and thirty years later it is still wrong.

2) CNN has always been a big manmade global warming advocate even though as a news organization they are supposed to present both sides of issues, something that got wiped out in their integrity sensor long ago. Recently they tried to peddle another global warming warning via their official Twitter account:
  • Earlier this summer they tweeted out a picture of a dog sled making its way in Greenland.
  • In the photo it appeared that the sled dogs were trudging through standing water which CNN tried to peddle as proof that the Greenland glaciers were melting due to manmade climate change.
  • Attached to their observation was a prediction that the world would end in about 12 years, obviously not reading the first point we made above.
  • But it is summertime in Greenland and much like elsewhere in the world when it is summer it is a little hotter and according to basic physics, when it gets hot things melt.
  • Which is where Peter Heide Jorgensen enters the picture.
  • Mr. Jorgensen is a professor at the Greenland Natural Resources Institute so he obviously has some scientific cred.
  • He noted that glacier ice melts during the summer are quite common in Greenland and have been going on for a very long time.
  • In fact, he posted a photo from 1984 next to the CNN photo from the summer of 2019, 35 years later, and there is very little difference in the summer photos from each year.
  • If global warming had been happening, one would expect the summer glacier melt in 2019 to be much worse than the melt 35 years earlier but it wasn’t.
  • But the embarrassment in Greenland gets even worse for CNN.
  • Some global warming advocates have claimed that the reduction occurring in Greenland ice over the past ten years proves that global warming exists and that the glaciers will eventually all go away because of it.
  • But contrary to their predictions of ever decreasing glacier ice, over the past year the amount of glacier ice has INCREASED, not continued to decrease.
  • In fact, it looks like this past year ice growth has restored/reversed the glacier ice back to what it was in 2016.
So maybe we are not all going to die in 12 years as CNN predicted if indeed the Greenland glacier ice is growing again. Dang, it sucks when reality proves that your global warming predictions are ALWAYS wrong.

A good start to proof again it is perfectly sane to be a global warming doubter and a believer in science. Scientists and time have proven over and over that global warming is a doubtful concept at best. More to doubts to come.
