The Failure That Is The Biden Presidency: Economy, Illegal Immigration, Foreign Policy, Personal Behavior

Biden has been in office almost three years so it is fair game to objectively review what his Presidency has or has not accomplished since he came into office in January 2021. It is not a pretty picture. His failures along many perspectives, including the economy, the Federal budget, immigration, foreign affairs, and personal behavior has been abysmal. Many failures, no victories or successes, as the following history of his administration proves:

Economy:

  1. In the past two years overall inflation is up about 17%.

  2. In the past two years grocery inflation is up  20%.

  3. In the past two years, gas prices are up about 50%.

  4. Two out of three Americans say their household budgets, expenses, and costs have risen over the past year while only 1 in 4 Americans say their income has increased in the past year.

  5. 67% of those recently polled disapprove of how Biden is handling the economy.

  6. 68% disapprove how Biden is handling the Federal budget.

  7. Eight out of ten Americans say their overall household debt is higher or about the same as a year ago.

  8. Only 15% say their household savings have increased over the past year.

  9. Only 26% of Americans are confident they could pay an unexpected medical expense.

  10. Three out of ten Americans say they have foregone a major purchase over the past year because of higher interest rates.

  11. 54% of Americans say their household’s financial situation is good, which is down from 63% in March, 2022.

  12. Only 39% of 18-29 year olds describe their household finances as good.

  13. Three quarters of Americans describe the nation’s economy as poor.

  14. Two out three Americans think the country is on the wrong track.

  15. The average thirty year fixed rate mortgage rate has increased from 2.77% when Biden took office to the current rate of 8.39%, about a three fold increase, pricing millions of Americans out of the housing market.

  16. The national debt has risen by almost $6,000,000,000,000 since Biden took office with every taxpayer needing to now pay over $250,000 each to pay off the national debt.

  17. Annual interest costs on the national debt have almost doubled during the Biden Presidency, rising from $345 billion in 2020 to $659 billion in fiscal 2023.

  18. Federal government revenue as a percentage of GDP has now fallen below the fifty year average, hitting 16.9%.

  19. Payments on the national debt are now the fourth largest component of the Federal government, behind Social Security, Medicare, and defense but more than any other government expense.

  20. 12.4% of Americans were found to be living in poverty in 2022, up from 7.8% in 2021.

  21.  The child poverty rate rose from 5.2% in 2021 to 12.4% in 2022.

  22. Long term problems have not been alleviated by Biden’s economic policies since about 600,000 Americans are still homeless, 17 million Americans are still constantly in danger of being food stressed, over 100,000 Americans are still likely to die from drug overdoses this year, and 23 million Americans are still without health insurance despite Obama Care.

Immigration Policies

  1. Millions and millions of illegal immigrants have entered the country since Biden came into office.

  2. These millions of illegal  immigrants have strained local, city,  Federal, and state government budgets, with all levels of government diverting tax dollars from programs for Americans to feed, shelter and provide medical care for these illegal immigrants.

  3. In fact, a recent 50 page document out of Washington estimates that American taxpayers pay upwards of $451 billion dollars a year across all levels of government to feed, shelter, provide medical care, education, and cell  phones to illegal immigrants in addition to incremental law enforcement, judicial, and prison costs.

  4. It is estimated that over 240,000 illegal immigrants illegally entered the country in October, 2023, a number that is bigger than the population of Boise, Idaho, Norfolk Virginia, Richmond, Virginia, and Tacoma, Washington.

  5. At a rate of 240,000 illegal immigrants a month, in a year almost 3 million illegal  immigrants would enter the country, a number larger than the population of every city in the country except New York City and Los Angeles.

  6. Biden’s failed border policies have allowed drug cartels to flood the country with tons of fentanyl and other illegal and addictive drugs, a flood that will  no doubt dramatically drive up the overdose death rate going forward.

  7. This increase in cartel drug trafficking, in addition to their human trafficking, has greatly enriched the drug cartels, making them even  more powerful.

  8. Biden’s failed border policies have allowed organized crime gangs from  Central  and South America to infiltrate the country to set up gang related criminal centers across the country.

  9. Biden’s failed border policies have allowed illegal immigrants from countries at odds with our country to enter the country, greatly increasing the likelihood of terror attacks across the country.

  10. Biden’s failed border policies have  allowed unvaccinated illegal immigrants to enter the country, possibly accounting for increased instances of tuberculosis, malaria, and other maladies to occur.

  11. His administration readily admits that they have lost track of over 80,000 illegal immigrant kids, having no clue whether they are with family or friends, dead, homeless, or recruited into sex trafficking rings.

  12. Untold hundreds, if not thousands, of people have died trying to illegally enter the country as a result of his failed border policies, perishing in fires, drownings, dying at the hands of smugglers and cartel members, or perishing from the heat and exhaustion of being out in the elements.

Foreign Policy

  1. Biden has made no diplomatic effort to end the war in Ukraine with Russia, having never met with Putin or communicated directly with him since the war started.

  2. His Secretary of State has met with his Russian equivalent once since the war started.

  3. As a result of his non-existent peacekeeping effort in the Ukrainian/Russian war, Biden has sent over $100,000,000,000 of taxpayer money to the never ending war in Ukraine while millions of Americans go homeless,  hungry, and in need of medical attention and health insurance.

  4. Under his watch, the Middle East has exploded with the worst fighting in many, many years, a reality that his administration never saw coming: “The Middle East region is quieter today than it has been in two decades:” statement by Biden’s  National Security Advisor, Jake Sullivan, just weeks before Hamas invaded Israel.

  5. Biden’s foreign policy weakness has caused hostile alliances to come together including Russia, Chinna, North Korea and Iran.

  6. Biden has done nothing to defuse the China/Taiwan situation.

  7. Biden has allowed Cuba to host a Chinese military spy base and military personnel 90 miles off of our shore.

  8. Saudi Arabia may start accepting the Chinese yuan instead of dollars for their oil, an effort that would undercut the dollar as the dominant worldwide currency, leading to even more inflation in this country as the dollar loses value.

Personal Behavior

  1. Biden expressed his long term history of making racist comments by publicly calling former Congressman Cedric Brown “boy” during a FEMA meeting: "I'm here with -- with my senior adviser and boy who knows Louisiana very, very well -- man -- and -- and New Orleans, Cedric Richmond." Mr. Brown is a Black American.
  2. Biden expressed his long term history of making racist comments by publicly calling rap artist, LL Cool J, “boy”: “LL J — Cool J. By the way, that boy has got — he’s got — I think that man has got biceps bigger than my thighs.”
  3. According to the Washington Post reporting back in May, Biden had already taken 256 vacation days even though he had only been in office 958 days at that point.
  4. Biden has held the fewest news conferences of any President since Reagan.
  5. Biden has been belligerent, has trouble consistently putting words and thoughts together, stumbles and falls often as a result of his shuffling gait, gets disoriented on at least a weekly basis, consistently confuses names and faces, and thus, exhibits many traits of an elderly person in the throes of senility or dementia.

Quite a record of failure. A weak President, a weak Cabinet, no plans, no strategy, no energy, and no successes. The only person who should be happy about this dismal Presidency is Jimmy Carter who, until  Biden came around, was generally recognized as the most ineffective President over the past 75 years, a title he probably gladly ceded to Biden.

Biden had an over 40 year, undistinguished history as a member of Congress with really no accomplishments over that time period. And he has extended that record of futility into the Presidency.
