Every month we devote posts to just general political class insanity that is running rampant through the country. The members of the American political class continue to show that they are incapable of efficiently operating any level of government in this country.
Even their best efforts are almost always ineffective at resolving any problem facing Americans. They spend a great amount of time not trying to improve the lives of their citizens but continually ensuring their reelection and enriching themselves, their families, and their friends in the process, all at taxpayer expense.
1)We have spent a number of posts discussing how Biden’s failed immigration policies have allowed thousands and thousands of criminals, gang members, and drug cartel members to stroll into the country. That has resulted in many, many Americans becoming victims of rape, murder, drug overdoses, and assaults. This has made Americans much more likely to be victims of crimes since Biden’s policies never allowed potential criminals to be identified and denied access to the country.
And to the atrocities committed on Americans listed above by illegal criminal and violent illegal immigrants we can add another insult:
According to law enforcement authorities in Pinellas County Florida, over 100 people have been arrested for looting and scamming citizens as a result of the two recent hurricanes.
41 of those people arrested, about 40% of the total are illegal immigrants.
Charges for those caught looting include armed robbery, burglary, loitering, prowling, grand theft, vandalism and trespassing.
According to Pinellas County Sheriff, Bob Gualtieri: “They’re going into people’s homes, they’re taking stuff, they’re rummaging through their things.”
Almost all of the illegal immigrants arrested are from Central and South America.
Another example where the government has failed to protect the lives and property of the citizens they serve with about 40% of this type of crime being done by people that maybe should not even be in the country to begin with.
2)Several years ago, as a result of the George Floyd situation, the Black Lives Matter (BLM) organization sprung up. It was supposed to further the aims and improve the lives of black Americans. They were the hit of the land for a while, some politicians bowed down to them, the NFL and many companies gave huge financial donations to the organization, and they looked to be a legitimate attempt to improve the lives of the people they were supposed to represent.
But over the past few years, the mythology of BLM started to unravel. Financial misspending, corruption, violence within their own ranks, etc. tarnished their image without improving the life of a single black American. And now the rubber is really hitting the road when it comes to mismanagement:
The BLM Global Network Foundation is running low on cash despite having been endowed with millions and millions of dollars.
According to a recent report by The Free Press, an independent news organization, BLM is likely to go out of business “unless something changes dramatically.”
The report says that the organization gathered $90 million since 2020 and yet, it is on the edge of extinction: “Capitalizing on the lucrative opportunities afforded to them as high-profile progressives, the three celebrity founders moved on, leaving the operation to wither in the hands of deputies who, sadly, turned on each other. A remarkable spate of legal trouble, brushes with law enforcement, and tangles with the Internal Revenue Service have all but spelled the death of the enterprise that you probably know best as Black Lives Matter.”
Tyree Conyers-Page, a former leader of the Atlanta BLM chapter, was recently sentenced to 3.5 years in Federal prison for money laundering and wire fraud.
Other reports allege that various BLM leaders have used donations for vacations to Jamaica, mansions in Canada, Georgia, and Los Angeles, and other personal expenses.
$8.7 million in donations are unaccounted for.
Apparently, it is not only government agencies that can waste well intentioned money and accomplish nothing in return.
3)We have all too often discussed the corruption and incompetence of the Federal government when it comes to protecting taxpayer wealth and taxes. This has not gotten any better over time:
A California man and woman have been arrested for allegedly defrauding Medicare of over $54 million.
They collected Medicare funds for services such as hospice and diagnostic services that were never actually done.
They then laundered the defrauded Medicare funds via gold bars and coins.
Their arrest indictment ran to 24 counts.
They submitted false Medicare bills via seven bogus healthcare companies.
A third person involved with the scam, assumed to be a Ukrainian, has fled the country.
The good news is that this scam was identified and shut down. The bad news is there are probably many more scams underway that continue to steal taxpayer wealth via the incompetence of the Medicare program. You also wonder how the scam went on so long without being suspected, it takes a pretty long time to gather $54 million in bogus claims.
4)The Federal government national debt is about to hit $36,000,000,000,000, that's $36 TRILLION. As we have discussed many times, this amount of debt is not only outrageous but it is not as if we got value for the debt that every taxpayer is burdened with:
Our infrastructure continues to age and deteriorate.
Our kids continue to usually get subpar education quality.
Social Security and Medicare continue to plummet towards insolvency.
Millions of Americans are homeless, hungry without health insurance, and fighting drug addiction.
And there is no end in sight with regards to wasting taxpayer wealth and getting nothing in return:
The Federal government overspent its revenue stream in fiscal 2024 by a whopping $1,800,000,000,000.
The only time the deficit was higher was during the two COVID years of 2020 and 2021.
Thus, Biden now has the highest budget deficit of all time in a government business as usual scenario.
The Federal government brought in $4.919 trillion in 2024, probably the largest amount of annual tax collected by any government entity in the history of mankind and yet, Biden still overspent this record amount of tax revenue by $1.8 trillion.
The biggest driver of this record setting deficit was the reality that the American taxpayer is now officially paying over one trillion a year to cover the interest payments
$1.133 trillion was the exact amount of interest payment to or about $2.1 million per MINUTE..
In theory, every American citizen, man, woman and child, would have had to have paid over $3,300 each to cover just the interest payments on the debt in 2024 or over $13,000 for a family of four to cover the interest payment.
Obviously, this insanity will not end well if the out of control Federal spending does not get contained very, very soon. The government debt and the associated interest payments will continue to grow exponentially until the whole system collapses in a wave of hyperinflation and with it, our freedom and financial viability.
Oh, and by the way, nobody in the American political seems to be discussing this wave of financial calamity that is forming. Either they do not understand the problem, they have no idea how to fix the problem, or are so fixated on their own self enrichment that they do not care about the rest of us.
Enough insanity for today: illegal immigrants allegedly looting in Florida, BLM going bankrupt, more Medicare fraud and the skyrocketing national debt.
