June, 2025, Political Class Insanity Part 6: Omar's Hypocrisy, A Government Employee's Bribery Scheme, and How Biden Failed Thousands of Immigrant Kids

We have spent a lot of our recent posts discussing how DOGE and Trump are identifying and eliminating the stupid and wasteful spending of the Federal government. However, that does not mean that the American political class had stopped doing stupid and inane things, be it wasting taxpayer wealth,  enriching themselves and family members, implementing stupid government programs, etc.

We usually called these failures “political class insanity.” Thus, let’s catch up on the insanity that American politicians have continued to indulge in:

1)Ilhan Omar is a Congresswoman from Minnesota. She is a legal immigrant who  fled the terror in her home country of Somali and obviously America has treated her quite well. She is a member of Congress and is earning about $170,000 a year just in salary, putting her among the top wage earners in the country.

But she is not happy with the Trump administration, which is certainly her right. But she took it a disgusting step further when she recently degraded the entire country and its citizens: “To have a democracy, a beacon of hope, for the world to now be turned into one of the worst countries, where the military are in our streets, without any regard for people’s Constitutional rights, while our president is spending millions of dollars propping himself up, like a failed dictator with a military parade.  It is really shocking.”

One of the worst countries in the world.” Kinda ungrateful, aren’t we Congresswoman? Sure, no institution is perfect and the real  challenge is to fix what is perceived to be broken. But as always, American politicians are great at complaining, not so good at remedying. If this is the worst country in the world and you are not doing anything to fix it, then maybe going back to Somalia would be worthwhile for Ms. Omar.

You see, she is being quite hypocrite talking about losing Constitutional rights when she was silent during the Biden administration:

  • When the Biden administration weaponized the FBI to go after, infiltrate, and  spy on  Catholic clergy, Catholic organizations, and Catholic dioceses without cause or warrants, depriving them of their First Amendment  rights, Omar was silent.

  • When the Biden administration  weaponized the FBI to send SWAT teams and agents to the homes of pro life supporters without cause or warrants, depriving them of their First Amendment rights and trying to intimidate those with a different view than Biden, Omar was silent.

  • When the Biden administration continually tried to intimate, mandate, and legislate away citizens’  Second Amendment rights, Omar was silent.

  • When the Biden administration colluded with the national association of school boards to shut down parental input to school board meetings and stifle parents' First Amendment rights, Omar was silent.

  • When the Biden administration tried to intimate Spotify to dump the Joe Rogan  podcast arrangement, depriving him of his First Amendment rights,  Omar was silent.

  • When the Biden administration weaponized the judicial system to collude with state and  local judicial processes to prosecute Trump without cause, Omar was silent.

  • When the Biden  administration detained suspects in  the J6 riot for long periods of time without due process, depriving them of their Constitutional right to a speedy trial, Omar was silent.

Seems Congresswoman Omar was alright with Constitutional rights being extinguished when her political party was in  power, trampling on First Amendment, Second Amendment, and due process rights of Americans, but all  of a sudden America sucks when  her party is not in control.

Oh, and by the way, we do not live in a democracy, we live in a republic form of government. As a member of Congress,  she should  know the difference. If you are not part of the  solution, you are part of the problem, which is difficult if you do not even  know our form of  government.

2)We have  spent a lot of time over the past few months talking about how

A) Washington politicians have  allowed billions and billions of hard earned American tax dollars to be spent on nonsensical projects around the world, e.g.  $20 million for a Sesame Street play in Iraq and B)government  employees have used their government positions to defraud the Federal government’s coffers.

In all of these abuses of taxpayer dollars, American taxpayers, Americans in need have seen absolutely no benefit of the programs. And that corruption continues as we see below:

  • A former contracting officer with the U.S. Agency For International Development (USAID), has pleaded guilty to running a decades long bribery scheme.

  • Roderick Watson admitted to accepting more than $1 million in bribes from 2013 to 2022.

  • He, in turn, steered 14 prime Federal government contracts to two consulting companies involving $550 million in Federal  contracts.

  • His bribes included such niceties as cash, luxury items, payments for mortgages, tickets to NBA games, and jobs for relatives.

  • He accomplished this criminal enterprise by setting  up shell  companies and falsifying documents.

  • Executives of  the companies he colluded with  also pleaded guilty to  bribery and  securities fraud and face jail  time and  fines in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

,

As always the good news is this criminal mishandling of taxpayer wealth has been  uncovered and the  criminals involved will face penalties. The bad news is that we do  not know how many other such schemes are in the high grass, ripping off taxpayers every day.

3)We have often talked about how Biden’s ignoring of the country’s illegal immigration laws allowed well over 10 million  illegal  immigrants to flood into the country without any background or criminal  checks. As a result, Americans have suffered heinous crimes such as rape and murder and hard earned taxpayer dollars were diverted form serving taxpayers to providing free food, shelter,  medical care and other benefits to illegal  immigrants. Also, drug cartels, human  traffickers, and other criminal  organizations have  grown wealthier and more powerful as a result.

Perhaps one of  the most heinous outcomes of the Biden immigration failures has been  the reality that the Federal government has lost track of possibly over 300,000 kids that came across the border illegally. The government has  no idea where they are, what they are doing  and whether they are being exploited from a work  or sex perspective.

A recent report by the Senate Judiciary Committee has revealed the latest situation regarding those thousands of kids:

  • Under Biden, the Department of Health  and Human Services ignored  over 65,000 reports related to the care and  placement of illegal  immigrant children.

  • Almost 7,000 of those cases were suspected of being related to  human trafficking and  another 2,000 related to fraud.

  • Thus, many kids may have been  given  over to potentially dangerous and unvetted “sponsors” and forced  into work or sex industries.

  • Health and Human  Services admitted to the placement of minors into unknown situations with little or no background checks done.

So sad that kids have  disappeared into who knows what kind of hellish  life as a result of Biden’s failure to execute current immigration laws and secure our borders.

Enough  political  class  insanity for today: more hypocrisy from a member of Congress, more criminal  fraud from a Federal  government  employee, and more  disgusting illegal immigration results from Biden’s failed immigration policies.

No - Medicaid Is Not Being Eliminated, No - Millions Of Americans Are Not Going Top Die From Medicaid Cuts, Yes - Corrupt and Wasteful Government Spending Needs To Be Axed

It is budget time in Washington these days and of course, lies, misinformation, and political posturing are in the air. These people can never agree to do the right thing and they use every opportunity, always to the detriment of citizens and taxpayers, to get political equity and an edge in their favor.

And this year it is no different. Democrats, liberals, and legacy media types have been feeding the lie machine as it applies to Medicaid. Claims range from Medicaid being totally eliminated to Medicaid recipients are going to see significant cuts in coverage and lose much of their health care coverage.

Specifically, Democrats in  Congress have  claimed that the current Medicaid budget proposal is “the largest cut to healthcare in American history” and have insanely suggested more than once that Americans will die as a result of the current budget proposal. Of course, those propagating the lies never provide any proof to their claims, just unfounded hysterics.

And think about it, would Republicans be so stupid to eliminate the health care coverage for tens of  millions of American voters? And even more inane, they would let Americans die? Seriously, think logically. This is why the Democratic party and legacy media approval ratings, as found by public opinion polls, show both entities are at historical lows when it comes to being trustworthy.

So let’s look at some different opinions on how Medicaid is not going to go away or be significantly reduced. How pregnant women, disabled citizens, etc. will still have Medicaid coverage. The first challenge to the lies comes from a local Florida Congressman of mine, Gus Bilirakis. He recently sent out a dedicated Medicaid email to his citizens  to disprove the hysteria discussed above:

***********************

Recently, my office has received inquiries regarding the legislation passed by the House, specifically regarding changes to the Medicaid program. Given the misinformation circulating, I want to ensure you have accurate information about this legislation and how it may affect Floridians.

Below are some frequently asked questions:

QUESTION: Did Republicans cut $880 billion from Medicaid?

ANSWER: No. The $880 billion number comes from the entire House Energy & Commerce Committee’s instruction to find $880 billion in savings, including other policy areas like energy, environment, and telecommunications. This portion of the bill puts an end to waste, fraud, and abuse, so that the program can work for the Americans it was designed to serve.

QUESTION: Did the Reconciliation bill cut aid to mothers, children, seniors, and people with disabilities?

ANSWER: Absolutely not. This bill strengthens and secures Medicaid for those who need it most. There are no cuts to Medicaid for mothers, children, people with disabilities, or elderly Americans. Instead, it ensures illegal immigrants, able-bodied adults choosing not to work, and people who aren’t actually qualified for Medicaid aren’t draining the already-burdened system.

QUESTION: Will tens of millions of people lose Medicaid coverage?

ANSWER: No. Prior to the final bill, liberals asked the Congressional Budget Office to score a number of policies that were not included in the House Energy & Commerce Committee’s portion of the bill, completely misrepresenting the impact of the legislation. In reality, the only Medicaid enrollees losing coverage from this bill are illegal immigrants, people who are not actually eligible for Medicaid but receiving coverage anyway, or able-bodied adults choosing not to work.  Furthermore, Florida is not an expansion state – meaning – the only groups that have ever been eligible to receive Medicaid are low income seniors, children, disabled adults, pregnant women, and post-partum women.  These groups are exempted from any of the changes in the reconciliation bill.   This means, that in Florida, the only people who will lose coverage are illegal immigrants and people who have never actually been eligible for Medicaid.  This is what we mean when we say we are eliminating fraud.

QUESTION: Are the bill’s work requirements too burdensome?

ANSWER: Able-bodied adults without dependents or co-occurring exclusions should work, pursue education/training, or perform community service in order to receive taxpayer subsidized Medicaid coverage. The following populations are exempt from work requirements: pregnant women, foster youth or former foster youth up to age 26, members of a Tribe, disabled individuals, and individuals who are a parent or caregiver of a dependent child or an individual with a disability. In Florida, able bodied adults, who don’t fall into one of the exempted categories above, have never qualified for Medicaid and thus the new requirements do not change Florida’s Medicaid eligibility.

QUESTION: Does this bill pay for tax cuts for billionaires?

ANSWER: The historic tax cuts included in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) impacted every American family. It is vital that we extend TCJA and prevent Americans’ taxes from going up. But independent of the need for tax certainty, our Medicaid program is on the brink. This bill also eliminates billions of dollars in waste, fraud and abuse and refocuses Medicaid on those who need it most.

***********************************

There you have it, a fact based  answer to the crazy theories that Democrats,  liberals and  legacy media types have been spreading. If you do  not trust Congressman Bilirakis, then please do some research on your own to see what you can find without accepting the lies without any backup evidence.

The need in this and every future federal budget process is to  eliminate wasteful and useless spending, be it stupid government programs, inefficiency within the Federal  bureaucracy, or criminal fraud. The national debt is fast approaching $37,000,000,000,000 and if the brakes are not put on this out of control government spending, the country and its democracy will soon vanish.

Don’t  believe Billirakis? Consider the take of Senate Majority John Thune who apparently has actually read the current budget numbers: “Medicaid was designed to serve a particular population, and what’s happened is [that] it’s evolved and morphed into this thing now that covers a lot of people that weren’t supposed to be covered in the first place, including illegals and the Medicaid expansion population. It’s really just making these programs, strengthening them, improving them, and targeting them to the people who you know Medicaid was designed to serve in the first place.”

He went on to say: “The House really honed in on the waste, fraud and abuse in the program, and the people who are benefiting from the program in a way that in for whom it wasn’t designed.  That’s where your work requirements come in. And we think that’s a natural assumption that you would make.”

If that is the reality, how can anyone possibly disagree with the intent: save the program by returning the program to its roots and get rid of those that do not need it and do not deserve to be in the program, sucking up limited taxpayer dollars.

However, if you think that everyone should be allowed on the Medicaid rolls, that anyone who is able to work does not have to, that it is okay to have inefficiencies and criminal fraud in government programs, that the ballooning national debt caused by Washington  politicians not able to control out of control spending is okay, then what Thune and Bilirakis have to say is not important to you. You would rather have others do  your thinking for you.
