Far too often we have had to review the rampant corruption and criminal activity that always seems to permeate current government programs. The American political class is great at putting forth expensive, taxpayer funded programs and horrible when it comes to making sure those programs are efficient, effective, and criminal infestation free.

Unfortunately, these politicians have not gotten any better at doing their job as the following tremendous waste of taxpayer examples prove:
1)It is not just politicians that are crooked, criminal, and corrupt, government employees also do a good job of stealing from the American taxpayer:
San Francisco employee, Stanley Ellicott, recently pleaded guilty to stealing over $600,000 of city funds.
Not only did he mastermind his own fraud but apparently he participated in another city employee’s embezzlement fraud.
Ellicott was once the assistant director of finance and technology for the workers’ compensation organization in the city’s human resources department.
Apparently, he stole funds from the city’s Community Challenge Grant Program.
He was eventually charged with 62 felonies and stole over $627,000.
He allegedly aided and helped former Community Challenge grant director, Lanita Henriquez, to steal city funds by steering city contracts to her former boyfriend, Rudolph Dwayne Jones, who just happened to once be on Gavin Newsom’s city staff when Newsom was mayor.
And the Newsom connection does not end there since his former chief of staff, Dana Williamson, was arrested last November and charged with conspiracy to commit bank and wire fraud.
What a den of thieves. The good news is that these folks will face rightful justice, the bad news is how many other city employees and politicians have gotten away with similar fraud and corruption. Also, not a good reflection on Newsom’s staff selections.
2)But the really big fraud is usually at the Federal government simply because the pots of budget money are much larger and quite often less tightly guarded from fraud and criminal actions:
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) is the replacement for the less glorious named and program, food stamps.
It is a huge program with billions and billions of dollars in budget allocations and over 49 million Americans receiving SNAP benefits.
The annual budget is about $100 billion, all funded by honest taxpayers.
The Trump administration immediately decided to look into possible fraud when it came into power back in January and over the following months found out that a whopping 186,000 SNAP recipients are no longer alive but yet are still collecting benefits from the program.
Another half a million people are double dipping into the system collecting twice the amount of benefits than what they are entitled to.
And these numbers are just part of the problem since only 29 out of 50 states provided their state’s SNAP information to the Federal government, meaning that the number of dead and the number of double dipping SNAP recipients is likely much higher.
Alabama somehow led the reporting states with over 26,000 dead fraudsters collecting SNAP benefits followed by much larger states, California with 25,818 fraudsters and New York with 25,210 fraudsters.
According to Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins:“There are vulnerable families in America that need this program that aren’t getting it because of the fraud and abuse that now we’re going to work to fix. We’re requiring all SNAP participants to reapply for benefits because the American people deserve accountability for their tax dollars.”
This fraud in just 29 states is costing the Federal government and the American taxpayer of at least $102 million a quarter.
Imagine how many homeless Americans could be fed if this type of corruption and criminal fraud could be redirected to help out real Americans in real need vs. criminals bilking the system. And despite these corruption numbers, many Democrats focus more on the myth that Trump is allowing Americans to starve vs. cleaning up the fraud and waste in the system.
3)In our previous post listed above, we discussed the major corruption unfolding in Minnesota where the Somali immigrant population apparently had players that have stolen over a billion dollars from taxpayers via corrupted government programs. A billion dollars is a lot of money that government agencies lost to criminal activity, money that could have fed every homeless American three nutritious meals a day for many, many months. Just horrible corruption and government incompetence.
And while losing a billion dollars via Somali immigrants in Minnesota is horrible and a disgrace, according to a whistleblower, Somalia immigrants in other state have also busy stealing from taxpayers:
Christopher Bernardini was a former billing specialist at Gateway Community Services.
This organization was supposed to be providing services for the state of Maine’s low income and disabled residents via Medicaid.
Bernardini claims that the company and its owner, Abdullahi Ali, submitted falsified records to get reimbursed via the Medicaid processes.
According to Bernardini: “I have a passion for helping people and I thought that we were doing the right thing this whole time. When I had clients calling me to tell me their staff hadn’t shown up and I was told to bill those hours anyway. It just got worse and worse until I started really putting up a stink.”
He also claimed that an electronic tracking system that was supposed to track the company’s field staff was abused to make it appear clients were visited even when staff never showed up.
According to The Maine Wire, the company received almost $29 million in Medicaid funds via the Maine state government’s Medicaid program.
Another day another state, another alleged Somali based defrauding of the American taxpayer and government programs.
4)Let’s take a quick revisit and update to the Somali fraud that went down in Minnesota:
Remember, the fraud total is estimated to be over $1 billion.
A very disturbing part of this fraud is that many taxpayer dollars were possibly diverted to an international terror organization.
Tim Walz is the governor of Minnesota, a person who should be the ultimate, accountable state government official that should be keeping his state's government program true and clean of corruption and criminal fraud.
But given all of this, state employee whistleblowers have come forward to accuse Walz of personally engaging in "systemic" retaliation against whistleblowers who warned of the Somali immigrant fraud going on in Walz’s state.
Unreal that a highly visible and high ranking politician likely suppressed
the defrauding of the American taxpayer. Despicable.
4)Let’s talk about a favorite source of government corruption and incompetence that we have discussed over the years, Obamacare:
A report from the Government Accounting Office (GAO), based on a stress test of the Obamacare enrollment process, found that Obamacare processes incorrectly provided health care subsidies to 19 out of the 20 fictitious applicants that GAO submitted.
Specifically, Obamacare processes “initially approved coverage for 19 of our 20 fictitious applicants” for 2025 premium tax credits in an audit of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
From the report: “As of September 2025, coverage for 18 fictitious enrollees remained active. The results of our covert testing for plan year 2025 are generally consistent with results of similar testing we conducted for plan years 2014 through 2016.”
In other words, the stress testing over the years have found the same incompetencies, dead or fictitious people getting taxpayer subsidies, but the incompetencies were never corrected.
In addition, the GAO analysis reported that $94 million was spent on insurance tax credits on people whose Social Security numbers were associated with deceased people in 2023.
The $94 million were paid out to over 58,000 who were identified as deceased by the Social Security Administration.
According to the Speaker of the house, Mike Johnson: “The Obamacare exchange and insurers didn’t verify any of the information they were supposed to under the law, and they proceeded to pay tens of thousands of dollars to insurance companies for people who do not exist.”
Obamacare was a loser program from Day One in so many different ways and the GAO just found a few other ways where Obamacare continues to be a massive failure.
Unbelievable government and politician incompetence with Somali immigrants, legal and illegal, ripping off the American taxpayer in different states, and two major Federal government programs handing benefits to ineligible, fake, and dead recipients.
