One topic we often revisit is the age-old question: do politicians lie because they actually think we are that stupid and believe their lies or do they actually believe their lies because they have no concept of reality and the real world? I am afraid it is a question that likely cannot and will not ever be definitively answered.
However, one thing is certain: politicians lie. Which brings us to today’s discussion. We will review some of the latest lies to come out of politicians’ mouths and government employees’ mouths but before we get to the latest lies, misgivings, and gaslighting, let’s quickly review some of the classic politicians’ lies through the years:
1)One of the biggest government and political lie of all times was the Warren Commission Report that asserted that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone in the assassinaiton of President John Kennedy. That a single gunman out foxed the entire Secret Service to assassinate the President. That the CIA was not involved even though they were upset that Kennedy withdrew support from their Bay of Pigs invasion. That the Mafia was not involved even though the failure of the Bay of Pigs meant they could not reopen their lucrative Cuban casinos. That Jack Ruby was just an aggrieved citizen wanting to avenge Kenney’s death but that he had no mob tie-ins.
2)George W. Bush justified the full fledged invasion of Iraq because Sadaaam Hussein was developing weapons of mass destruction. Despite the invasion, the billions of dollars in military costs, and the thousands and thousands of American casualties, it turns out that Iraq had no functioning or viable weapons of mass destruction at its disposal. A big lie or totally incompetent intelligence gathering? You decide.
3)One of the all time favorite political lies that blew up pretty quickly was Bill Clinton’s assertion that: "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky," followed by "I never told anybody to lie, not a single time, never". But he did have sexual intercourse and he did lie about it.
4)Al Gore has always been a good source of lies and or misinformation. A favorite self serving quote from him was, “During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet.” What a guy, full time job as a Senator while still finding time to invent the Internet. And of course, we could probably do days reviewing his global warming baloney such as the time in 2009 when he predicted that the North Pole may totally disappear in summertime and that this could begin within 5-7 years. 17 years later the North Pole is still pretty chill.

5)Over a decade after it was implemented, Obama and his signature legislation failure, Obama Care, had a whole package of lies for us:
“If you like your current insurance plan, you can keep it.” A lie, 9.3 million Americans lost access to their preferred health insurance plan and Politifact, a leftist fact checking organization, even named this lie as the “Lie of the Year” in 2013.
“You can keep your doctor.” A lie, about 214,000 doctors opted out of accepting Obama Care insurance plans, probably forcing millions of Americans to find new doctors. Even CNN, a leftist “news” organization, called it a lie. The Obama Care website eventually revised the wording, dropping the “you can keep your doctor” misinformation.
“Your insurance premiums will go down by $2,500.” A lie, on average health insurance premiums rose 60% in the first four years of the program.
“You will have more access to care.” A lie, with over 200,000 health care providers opting out of Obama Care policies, hospital emergency rooms continued to serve millions of Americans in need.
“Those with pre-existing conditions will be protected.” A lie, those that had Obama Care policies were no more likely to be helped with pre-existing medical costs or were more likely to not die from pre-existing conditions.
Apparently, Obama Care was the lie machine that just kept on giving.
6)One of the kings when it comes to political liars has been Joe Biden. During his recent administration he had more than a few whoppers including these two big ones:
“Look, folks, you know how many billionaires we have in America today? One thousand. You know what their average rate — tax rate — federal tax rate is? Federal tax rate is 8.5 percent. Raise your hand if you’d trade your tax rate for 8.5 percent. I’m serious. Think about this. There’d be $40 billion raised if they even pay 25 percent.” A lie, the wealthy on average pay at about a 25% rate on average. In order to get to the 8% or so, Biden had to invent a new and incorrect way of assessing taxable levels.
“Today, we received news that our economy had 0% inflation in the month of July [2022] — 0%,” A lie or stupidity. In fact, the rate of inflation had not changed from June to July, it was the same in both months but it was NOT zero in July. The year over year inflation rate was still very high.

Okay let’s take a look at some newest lies that our political processes and government agencies have thrown at us over the recent past:
1)One of the more contemporary lies was from Dr. Anthony Fauci, the mastermind for the shutdown of the country during Covid. First he told us that wearing a mask would not make any difference relative to the virus. Then he said we should wear a mask and eventually he said we should wear two masks to combat the virus. From no masks to two masks, and he was the so-called expert.
He also said that we should get the vaccine and if we did, the virus would stop with us, we would not get sick, and that it would curtail the spread of the virus. Well, it is pretty clear now that the virus did not stop with anyone. Everyone who I know who got the vaccine and also the boosters got sick multiple times. So much for the virus protecting us and stopping the spread.
But new information is coming out that shows his whole schick with the virus was garbage or one big lie:
Reports have recently come out that Fauci privately agreed that “impressive data” showed natural immunity, i.e. getting the virus and recovering was better than getting the vaccine shots that, as we said above, were quite ineffective in preventing a person from getting the virus multiple times.
A huge and credible study from Israel showed stronger immunity from getting the infection than mandating everyone get vaccine shots.
This information, which became public from a Freedom of Information Act action by the Protect the Public’s Trust, shows that supporting that everyone get a vaccine shot was not justified for millions of healthy Americans.
Specifically: “What does it say about our own institutions that, despite billions spent every year, Americans had to rely on Israeli research for their health information, and that our own officials tried to bury what didn’t fit their preferred narrative?” Protect the Public’s Trust, Director Michael Chamberlain told the DCNF. “There’s been a lot of handwringing about reforms and personnel actions by the new leadership at HHS, but this is just more evidence that the public health bureaucracy was ripe for a thorough housecleaning.”
Furthermore: “This is the evidence right here showing that our nation’s scientific leaders were not acting scientifically, and there needs to be accountability,” said Stephanie Edewaard Weidle, executive director of Feds For Freedom, to the DCNF. “We in the medical freedom fighting world, we already knew this, but to see it spelled out in these FOIA documents just makes it worse. People lost their jobs, and their lives were turned upside down based on the argument that natural immunity was not enough.”
Number wise, the Israeli study found that those that had the virus and did not have a vaccine were a whopping 13 times more protected from a recurrence of the virus.
And Fauci admitted the validity of the study and yet forced everyone to get vaccinated: “The data [in the Israeli study] as reported in the news article look rather impressive . . . . but I would imagine that it is more complicated than we think . . . . [I]t is conceivable and possibly likely that those who have had a serious systemic infection develop a high level of immunity that even surpasses that of full vaccination.”
Other studies supported the Israeli findings with one study showing that Covid antibodies deteriorated at a far faster rate in those that had taken the vaccine vs those that had developed natural immunity by contracting the disease, 40% vs. less than 5%.
Thus, they lied. They had a very valid study that showed most people were better off getting Covid immunity and creating natural immunity vs. getting the vaccine. They sat on the information and it was never made public for discussion and policy formulation. Not providing information is a form of lying and this is a prime example.
Keep in mind that people died as a result of getting the unnecessary vaccine, which caused heart problems under thousands of situations. Thus, those folks might be alive today if this information had been shared and debated.

Is it related to drug company lobbyists and money?
2)One persistent warning that Democrats and liberals have voiced for several decades now (see Al Gore above) is that humanity was doomed by global warming unless drastic, expensive, and freedom shredding actions were taken. Those that disagreed with them or pointed to studies that showed they were wrong, were branded as anti-science and ignorant fools.
But over time, it became clear that the global warming hysteria and predictions were not going to come true. Thus, the global warming movement rebranded itself as climate change so that no matter what happened, cooling or warming, they would be right.
But the global warming warnings of these politicians ran counter to what their personal actions were:
Barack Obama owns a multi-million dollar estate on the island of Martha's Vineyard in the Atlantic Ocean. He has been a longtime advocate of global warming which would raise ocean levels, flooding islands and parts of the mainland United States. If he really believed that then why would he own such an expensive home and property that would be one of the first pieces of dry land to go under water if he really believed his global warming hype?
Same thing with Al Gore, the supreme global warming guru who owns beach front property in California, property that would also get flooded if the ocean rose from global warming..
And to this list of alleged hypocrites is the former Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris.
She and her husband recently purchased an $8 million mansion in an exclusive neighborhood in Malibu, California, a town that sits right on the ocean.
For years, according to a Washington Free Beacon article, Harris has preached about the danger of the “climate crisis” and how it would raise the levels of the oceans of the world, likely flooding Malibu.
During the Biden/Harris administration, they issued a report and analysis that predicted that Point Dune State Beach, a beach very near the new Harris estate, would be severely damaged by sea level rises.
As a Senator, she sponsored legislation that put aside $50 million a year to combat ocean level rises which supposedly threatened "thousands of coastal communities and economies.”
Harris stated in 2019: “Our oceans are warming. Sea levels are rising.”
And yet she bought a home that was listed in the real estate listing as being in a "prime coastal location.”
Are Obama, Gore, and Harris that stupid to buy expensive homes in areas that they claimed for decades would be overwhelmed with rising ocean levels due to global warming? Or was it all just one big lie to gain control over our wealth, our freedom, and our lives.? Their actions speak for themselves, it was one of the biggest political lies of the modern era.
3)But it is not just politicians who lie, it is also the mainstream corporate news media that lies in support of their favorite politicians and political slants. The CBS news show, “60 Minutes,” was once a true journalism show. They would research issues, investigate those issues, and then report their findings and reality in an unbiased matter.
But those days are long gone. They are now just another corporate news media public relations effort in support of liberal and Democratic causes. This was blatantly illustrated when they interviewed Florida governor Ron Desantis during the Covid crisis. The “60 Minutes” "journalists" tried to paint Desantis as a political hack who prioritized Covid resources to the Publix supermarket chain solely because that company had contributed to his election campaign.
The whole interview was sliced and diced to make it appear that way. However, when the entire interview is watched, it is obvious that this was not the case. Publix did not get preferential treatment. But the objective of the CBS interviewer and CBS was to lie and paint a picture via creative editing that smeared a Republican governor. Even local Democrats sided with Desantis and said the edited interview that was shown on national TV was a sham.
