How Obama, Democrats, and Liberals Created Donald Trump Mania Revisited

Two days ago we discussed the topic of what to tell our kids about the 2016 Presidential election. The impetus for that blog post was a Huffington Post article that lamented the fact that Donald Trump was elected President and that he was a racist, sexist, and overbearing atrocity. This sent the liberal leaning author of the article, and others that thought Hillary was a much better candidate and human being, into a hysterical tizzy, lamenting what to tell her kids about his victory.

We suggested that in addition to Trump, that she also explain how Hillary Clinton was also a lot of bad things including a racist, slanderer, pathological liar, likely law breaker, sexual predator enabler, and greedy individual. That the two major candidates this year were both despicable in both similar and different ways, tobe trulyunbioased the author should reveal to her kids both candidates behavior. 

Which brings us to today's related post. This post was originally put forth back on March 11, 2016 in this blog and it hypothesized that the Donald Trump mania was actually a creation of the liberal base in this country, from Obama to Democrats in Congress to other educated liberals across the nation. 

We documented and linked dozens and dozens of quotes from people in that post where we showed how liberals and Democrats were quite comfortable calling non-liberals a load of unsavory and disgusting names including sluts, whores, racists, assh***s, etc. 

We then hypothesized that maybe, just maybe people across this country just got tired of being verbally abused by those in the political class and their followers. And that led to the rise of Trump, someone who was outside the political mainstream, someone who seemed to understand the frustration of those around the country who were tired of being derided and slandered by the elites in this country.

If you are a Democrat, read the following and take the test that is embedded, were you silent when your family, friends, and neighbors were being called these horrible names? If you were silent in the face of these verbal onslaughts, then you are part of the process that created Trump mania.

How American Liberals and The Washington Political Class Created Trump Mania

Unless you have been living under a rock lately, you probably know that Donald Trump has been very successful in gathering Republican delegates in his quest to become President of the United States. This has upset many people, media types, politicians, and pundits all along the traditional political spectrum. And upset is actually a pretty tame description given how crazy and out of their minds some people, especially liberals, are going. 

Many of them, liberals, are having trouble dealing with the reality that someone so non-politically correct as Trump might become President. Many of them are having trouble dealing with the reality that someone who is so honest might actually become President. Many of them are having trouble dealing with the reality that a non-politician might actually become President. Many of them are having trouble dealing with the reality that someone so arrogant and crude might actually become President. Many of them are having trouble believing the reality that anyone could actually support someone like Trump. The whole situation repulses them, throws them into a tizzy that blows their minds.

But while liberals are going nuts over the Trump phenomenon, they fail to get underneath what is actually driving that phenomenon. Trump has somehow tapped into a strong undercurrent of unrest, resentment, disgust, and rebellion that is brewing in this country. According to one Gallup poll, over 70% of Americans view the current political class in Washington as corrupt. Another Gallup poll found that 69% of Americans view “big government” as the biggest threat to the country. Trump is neither a member of the political class or a member of big government, he is viewed as an outsider, one who might actually be independent enough to overcome these poll results and the disgust they represent. 

But I think there is something more subtle also going on beyond the what these polls reveal. 

A lot of Americans have kept their mouths shut over the past seven plus years of the Obama administration despite a tidal wave of insults and slurs from liberals and many Washington politicians that have been cast out against anyone who dared to have a different position on the issues than them. They have had to endure crudity and obscenities and they stood by quietly and absorbed the blows.

But along comes Trump and these Americans have found someone that seems to understand them, that seems to understand how tens of millions of Americans have been slandered by liberals and Democrats for years. Someone who seems to understand that the President of the United States stood silently by, giving at least his tacit acceptance, as common American citizens and politicians with a different and legitimate position were viciously pummeled by his political allies.

Which leads to the following theory: the Trump phenomenon was created by and fed by liberals, Democrats, and the President of the United States. It was also fed by ordinary citizens who stood silently on the sidelines as their friends, family members, and neighbors were obscenely attacked and slandered by liberals and Democrats over the past seven years. To prove my point, especially the point where the President purposely allowed Americans to be personally and obscenely attacked, take the following quiz:

When the campaign manager of Democrat’s Jerry Brown’s gubernatorial campaign called his Republican opponent, Meg Whitman, a whore, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When TV host Montel Williams publicly hoped that Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachman would commit suicide by decapitating herself, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Ed Schultz, an on air commentator for the Democratic leaning MSNBC news channel, called Laura Ingraham of Fox News a slut, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When HBO TV host Bill Maher, a major donor to Obama’s 2012 Presidential Super PAC, said on air that Republican Sarah Palin “would f*** Rick Perry if he was black,” Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Bill Maher called Republican Sarah Palin disgusting and derogatory female anatomical names that I will not repeat here, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Playboy magazine’s online website offered a detailed analysis on why and how each of ten Republican women in politics should be hate raped, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When a rap artist gave a Minnesota concert that was billed as the “F*** Michele Bachman” concert (spelling out the entire f-word), a Republican Congresswoman from Minnesota, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When a Democratic operative insulted Ann Romney, and millions of other American women, by slandering and demeaning her as a stay athome mother, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Democrat Speaker Of The House Nancy Pelosi called opponents to Obama Care unpatriotic for simply having a difference of opinion with many politicians in Washington, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Democrat Charles Rangel slandered millions of ordinary Americans who opposed Obama Care by calling them racists for simply having an honest difference of opinion with many politicians in Washington, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Democrat Shelia Jackson Lee slandered ordinary Americans who opposed Obama Care by associating them with the Ku Klux Klan, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When White House czar Van Jones called all Republicans a**h***s, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Louis Farrakhan said in Miami last year that the time has come for 10,000 black volunteers to step forward to kill white Americans, Obama was silent. Were you also silent? 

When Democrat Alan Grayson called all Republicans knuckle dragging Neanderthals, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When union boss and Democratic supporter Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. stated that his union was at war with the Republicans and Tea Party and that those people "need to be taken out," Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Democratic Congressmen Mike Doyle and Henry Waxman and Vice President Joe Biden slandered ordinary Americans opposed to unfettered and destructive government spending and debt by calling them terrorists (those people that bomb and kill and innocent civilians), Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When ordinary Americans objected to the building of a Islamic mosque near the World Trade Center property because of the horrible memories of 9-11 and Democrat Nancy Pelosi said THEY should be investigated for simply having an opinion on the mosque, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen likened Republican critics of Obama Care to the Nazis and their propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Walters said ordinary American citizens can go to hell simply for having a difference of opinion with her, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Martin Bashier of leftist MSNBC News showed a video of Mitt Romney’s campaign bus that was interspersed with video clips of buses blowing up in balls of fire, explicitly wishing that the Romney bus also blow up and those inside die a fiery death, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Martin Bashier of leftist MSNBC News said someone should defecate into Sarah Palin’s mouth, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When liberal Professor Richard Parncutt of the University of Graz said he wanted to execute other human beings that are global warming deniers for simply having a different opinion than his and Obama's on global warming, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When liberal newspaper columnist Donald Kaul wrote an article for the Des Moines Register where he called for the killing of gun owners and“dragging legislators who disagree with gun control behind pickup trucks until they get the message,” Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When liberal Erik Loomis, PhD, assistant professor of history at the University of Rhode Island decided that he wanted the death of National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO Wayne LaPierre, branding the gun rights group he heads as a terrorist organization: "[I] want Wayne LaPierre's head on a stick," Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Karen Lewis, head of the Chicago Teachers’ Union shared some violent rhetoric of her own:“Do not think for a minute that the wealthy are ever going to allow you to legislate their riches away from them. Please understand that. However, we are in a moment where the wealth disparity in this country is very reminiscent of the robber baron ages. The labor leaders of that time, though, were ready to kill. They were. They were just – off with their heads. They were seriously talking about that,” Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When liberal Elizabeth Ashack, an economist at the Department of Labor, said that all Christians are Nazis, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Democratic Indiana state representative Vanessa Summers publicly stated that a fellow legislator’s 18 month old son was a racist, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Bernie Sanders said that any American believes that the Social Security process is hurtling towards insolvency (which it is) is a liar, Obama was silent. Were you silent also?

When Democratic activist Sarah Noble said that all men should die or get f***ed, Obama was silent. Were you silent also

Maybe now you see that if someone was constantly being called a whore, a slut, an a**h***, a racist, a member of the KKK, a liar, a racist, unpatriotic, a terrorist, derogatory female body parts, a Neanderthal, and a Nazi, they might be attracted to a Presidential candidate that seems to understand their frustrations.

Maybe now you see that if someone was constantly being told to kill yourself, f***yourself, die in a bus crash, just die, have someone defecate in your mouth, go to hell, get hate raped, get taken out, and get decapitated, they might be attracted to a Presidential candidate that seems to understand their frustrations.

Additionally, maybe now you see that if someone was constantly being blamed for events that happened long before they were born and long before their family even came to this country, that someone was being blamed for the ills of the world because they were born a certain skin color, that someone should be killed for simply being white, and that you achieved success in life not because of your hard work and efforts but because of an inane concept called “white privilege,” they might be attracted to a Presidential candidate that seems to understand their frustrations.

And if your answers to the quiz above were that you also remained silent as your neighbors, family members, and friends were being attacked by politicians, media types, and others, then you along with Obama helped create the Trump phenomenon. So stop fretting about Trump, stop lashing out to those that are supporting Trump, stop being part of the problem, stop casting and supporting the insults and slander, and start being part of the solution.

Insist that the personal attacks stop and set an example by discussing only the issues and not the looks or intelligence of those that have a different opinion than you. Insist that your political representatives do the same. Otherwise you are part of the problem, you are part of the divisiveness in the country, you created the mania that is Trump.

November, 2016, Part 4, Political Class Insanity: Obama Claims Innocence (Wrongly), Wasting Taxes On Apple Colors, and MOre

The current monthly record for the number of posts that were needed to cover one month's worth of insanity is ten. We equaled that record last month when we needed ten days to cover one month’s worth of political class insanity. There is a very good chance that the ten day record could fall this month since as we get closer and closer to the election, the volume of ineptness grows almost exponentially.

But today and for all of the insanity posts this month, let’s start off with a welcome piece of honest political dialog. It comes from a State Department spokesperson. Mark Toner, who is about to start the daily State Department press briefing. In a joking matter, he makes the following quote: "Welcome to the State Department. I think we have some interns in the back. Welcome. Good to see you in this exercise in transparency and democracy." 

He then burst out laughing at his own quote, indicating he also knew what a joke the Obama administration has been, especially Mr. Toner’s State Department, when it comes to cover ups, lack of transparency, denial of Freedom of Information Act requests, the prosecution of whistleblowers, etc. But at least it was a little refreshing to finally hear some actual honesty out of Washington as we see from the actual clip of the news conference:

With that context of honesty, let’s see what other insanity has been going down:

1) Let’s consider the state of the nation today:

• Our pubic schools continue to under educate our kids.
• Our veterans continue to die unnecessarily because the Federal government cannot fulfill its promise of provide healthcare to our vets.
• There are still way over 40 million Americans that need Federal food assistance every month.
• The real unemployment rate is much closer to 10% vs. what the outdated and current unemployment rate is.
• We still have no overarching strategic energy plan to protect us from the vagaries of the international energy market.
• Our national infrastructure of roads and bridges is falling apart.
• Our military readiness is probably at a decades long low point.
• Drug addiction still kills tens of thousands of Americans every year.
• Our borders still leak, opening us up to terrorist infiltration from outside the country.
• Major government programs, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, are criminally infested and hurtling towards fiscal insolvency.
• Healthcare costs continue to skyrocket with Obama Care being an epic failure.

And these failures continue to exist even though the Federal government overspent it tax collection amounts by about $10 TRILLION over the past eight years, i.e. we spent a lot and got nothing in return except for an overbearing national debt burden.

So how did we spend so much and get so little even though the Federal government has collected more in taxes over the past eight years than any other government in the history of mankind? Well, a recent Heritage Foundation article by David Rosenthal on October 20, 2016 gives a small set of examples of how trillions of dollars are wasted over the years by the Washington political class:

- Federal government regulations - Cottage Cheese:

• The Food and Drug Administration has Federal regulations on how moist cottage cheese is.
• FYI, the moisture level cannot be greater than 80%.
• If a company makes their cottage cheese with 80.1% moisture than they have misbranded that product and are subject to a Federal crime.

Somewhere in the Federal bureaucracy, someone spent time writing and implementing this cottage cheese regulation using our tax dollars, dollars that could have been better used by saving veterans and drug addicts lives, fixing a broken road or bridge somewhere and potentially saving someone’s life, etc.

- Federal government regulations - The Color Of Apples

• The Federal Department of Agriculture provides official regulations on what are the official color standards for various types of apples.
• For example, McIntosh apples must be at least 50% red to be considered “extra fancy” while Red Delicious apples must be at least 66% red to get the same Extra Fancy status.
• Failure to accurately gauge the color of apples could you thrown into jail for up to five years and face a $1,000 fine.

Yes, Hillary Clinton can mishandle top secret and confidential documents and still be walking around but mislabel the color of an apple and you are in the slammer.

Somewhere in the Federal bureaucracy, someone spent time writing and implementing these apple color regulations using our tax dollars, dollar that could have been better used by saving veterans and drug addicts lives, fixing a broken road or bridge somewhere and potentially saving someone’s life, etc.

- Federal government regulations - Chicken Noodle Soup:

• Government regulators have spent a lot of time actually defining what chicken soup is: “A consumer-packaged noodle soup product containing less than 2 percent chicken meat on a ready-to-serve basis may not be labeled ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ but, when appropriate, could be labeled as ‘Chicken Flavored Noodle Soup.’”
• Failure to obey this regulations gets you jail time and a fine.

Somewhere in the Federal bureaucracy, someone spent time writing and implementing this chicken soup regulation using our tax dollars, dollar that could have been better used by saving veterans and drug addicts lives, fixing a broken road or bridge somewhere and potentially saving someone’s life, etc.

So while veterans die, addicts overdose, roads crumble, our kids are under educated, etc., our tax dollars are going towards massive and inane government regulations that worry about the moisture levels of cottage cheese, the color of apples, and how much chicken is in chicken soup. Such a bad set of priorities of a government bureaucracy that is out of control.

Such over regulation means that businesses have to devote more and more time, resources, and energy to being sure that they are not going to go to jail over the color of an apple. This is time, resources, and energy that cannot be spent on growing the business and the economy, creating job opportunities for those that need a job. 

As we have said many times before, as government gets bigger and bigger but the need for more government does not change, those within the government bureaucracy need to create work and look busy to justify their high government salaries and continued employment, resulting in over 70,000 pages of government regulations that stifle economic development with no societal benefit in return.

2) But it is not just food where the government misspends taxpayer funds. Consider some wasteful spending by the State Department when Hillary Clinton was in charge. According to an article on Breitbart’s website by Amanda House on October 27, 2016:

• While Clinton was in charge of the State Department, the Department spent $5.4 million on crystal stemware via a no bid contract despite her promise, when she was Senator Hillary Clinton, to work to “restore transparency and oversight to the federal contracting process.”
• If the no bid contract for millions of dollars was not bad enough, the bigger question is why does the State Department need $5.4 million worth of crystal stemware anyway?
• Her State Department also spent an amazing $630,00 to increase Facebook likes for the Department.
• And for some god forsaken reason reason spent $79,000 for copies of Obama’s book.

As we said above relative to unnecessary food regulations, how many addicts could have been treated, how many hungry Americans could have been fed, how many potholes could have been filled, etc. if the State Department did not spend $5.4 million on crystal, $630,000 on a useless Facebook project and $79,000 on a book? Insane.

3) According to a recent article on the US Chronicle website, President Obama claimed that he has not contributed to the divisions that have sprung up in the country over the past eight or so years. Really? Wasn’t it Obama who spitefully stated that:

• Rural residing Americans “get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”
• Americans skeptical of global warming are idiots and that "We don't have time for a meeting of the flat-Earth society."
• All white Americans are racist, "The point I was making was not that Grandmother harbors any racial animosity. She doesn't. But she is a typical white person..."

But it is not just what he said that was divisive, it is what he did not say that had even more of an impact in dividing the country, his silence in the face of his Democratic Party political allies saying things that were hateful, bigoted, and divisive was deafening:

• When the campaign manager of Democrat Jerry Brown’s California governor campaign called Republican opponent Meg Whitman a whore, Obama was silent.
• When Democratic Congressman Alan Grayson called all Republicans knuckle dragging Neanderthals, Obama was silent.
• When Obama administration czar Van Jones called all Republicans assholes, Obama was silent.
• When Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Walters said all citizens that support Tea Party principles should go straight to hell, Obama was silent.
• When Playboy magazine’s online website offered a detailed analysis on why and how each of ten Republican women in politics should be hate raped, Obama was silent
• When Democrat Charles Rangel slandered millions of ordinary Americans who opposed Obama Care by calling them racists for simply having an honest difference of opinion with many politicians in Washington, Obama was silent. 

This is just a small sample of the dozens of times when Obama stood silent and let his Democratic allies do his political mudslinging for him. For examples of dozens of other instances, go to the following link:

I am not saying that Obama should have responded to all of these insults or even most of them. But he never once voiced his objections to things like this when his side was spouting them off and dividing the country. He refused to set the tone of civility when he never told his political allies to knock it off or tone it down, he just let the venom flow, much like a simple community organizer would do. So please, Mr. President, you did contribute to the deep divisions in this country, in both your own words and your own silence.

Part 3 The Obama Presidency - The End Of An Error - Once A Community Organizer, Still A Community Organizer

As we near the end of the Obama Presidency, I thought it would be a good idea at the 100 day mark to review what he has done to and for this country over the past eight years. Before we do that, though, let me repeat my previous background statements on my past political actions:

• I have never voted for a Republican Presidential candidate in my life and I have been voting since the the Nixon era.
• Until 2010, I have never voted for a Republican for national office in my life.
• I am not affiliated with nor do I associate myself with the Republican Party, conservatives or people like Donald Trump.

Okay, now that we understand where I am coming from, let me just say that in my opinion Barack Obama has been the most inept, most divisive, most narcissist and worst diplomat in my lifetime to reside in the White House. From the economy, to race relations, to the national debt, to foreign relations to government operations, to blatant disregard for existing laws and the Constitution, in just about any measure we are far worse off as a nation than prior to him coming into office.

We will breaking down the failures and disappointments of this administration into some broad categories that will take us a number of days to cover as we analyze “The Obama Presidency - The End Of An Error.” Two days ago we reviewed the dozens of lies and broken promises of this President and yesterday we talked about the dozens of times that the Obama administration violated laws, the Constitution, and judicial rulings. Today, we will focus on how Obama and his administration has actively and aggressively divided Americans along sexual, racial, economic, and political lines. 

Specifically, rather than bringing people together, Obama stood silent and watched his political allies slander, degrade, insult, and divide the country to suit his needs, not the needs of the country and its citizens:

When Martin Bashier of leftist MSNBC News said someone should defecate into Sarah Palin’s mouth, Obama was silent. 

When liberal Professor Richard Parncutt of the University of Graz said he wanted to execute other human beings that are global warming deniers for simply having a different opinion than his and Obama's on global warming, Obama was silent. 

When liberal newspaper columnist Donald Kaul wrote an article for the Des Moines Register where he called for the killing of gun owners and “dragging legislators who disagree with gun control behind pickup trucks until they get the message,” Obama was silent.

When liberal Erik Loomis, PhD, assistant professor of history at the University of Rhode Island decided that he wanted the death of National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO Wayne LaPierre, branding the gun rights group he heads as a terrorist organization: "[I] want Wayne LaPierre's head on a stick," Obama was silent.

When Karen Lewis, head of the Chicago Teachers’ Union shared some violent rhetoric of her own: “Do not think for a minute that the wealthy are ever going to allow you to legislate their riches away from them. Please understand that. However, we are in a moment where the wealth disparity in this country is very reminiscent of the robber baron ages. The labor leaders of that time, though, were ready to kill. They were. They were just – off with their heads. They were seriously talking about that,” Obama was silent. 

When liberal Elizabeth Ashack, an economist at the Department of Labor, said that all Christians are Nazis, Obama was silent. 

When Democratic Indiana state representative Vanessa Summers publicly stated that a fellow legislator’s 18 month old son was a racist, Obama was silent. 

When Bernie Sanders said that any American believes that the Social Security process is hurtling towards insolvency (which it is) is a liar, Obama was silent. 

When Democratic activist Sarah Noble said that all men should die or get f***ed, Obama was silent. 

When the Hispanic Congressional Caucus sent out a fundraising letter and said that Republicans needed to be “kicked in the teeth,” Obama was silent. 

When Professor James Pearce, who teaches at Southern State Community College in Hillsboro, said that “A bunch of us anti-gun types are going to have to arm ourselves, storm the NRA headquarters in Fairfax, VA, and make sure there are no survivors,” Obama was silent. 

When Bill Maher called Trumps kids a**h**** and Nazis, Obama was silent. 

Now, I realize that it would be impossible for President Obama to respond to all of these disgusting statements and and analogies. But he never set the tone for civility and compromise and understanding during his Presidency:

• If a President stands silently by as ordinary citizens and politicians from another party are constantly being called a whore, a slut, an a**h***, a racist, a member of the KKK, a liar, unpatriotic, a terrorist, derogatory female body parts, a Neanderthal, and a Nazi, he is not a leader.
• If a President stands silently by as ordinary citizens and politicians from another party are constantly being told to kill yourselves, f*** yourselves, die in a bus crash, just die, have someone defecate in their mouth, go to hell, get hate raped, get kicked in the teeth, get taken out, and get decapitated, he is not a leader.
• If a President stands silently by as ordinary citizens are constantly being blamed for events that happened long before they were born and long before their family even came to this country, that someone was being blamed for the ills of the world because they were born a certain skin color, that someone should be killed for simply being white, and that you achieved success in life not because of your hard work and efforts but because of an inane concept called “white privilege,” he is not a leader.

Obama’s silence in every one of these situations makes him complicit in his implicit support of these insults and slanders. There were worries that when he became President, he was little more than a one term Senator and a community organizer. A good community organizer fights aggressively to get their demands and needs met, the opposing party be damned.

A good leader unites people, seeking compromise and civility, fairly and compassionately considering all viewpoints and everyone’s needs. After almost eight years, Barack Obama’s perpetual silence shows that he is still….. a community organizer.

The Political Climate of Hate and Hostility that Obama, Not Trump, Created in America, Part 2

At end of December, 2015, we did four posts in which I discussed the very bad memories I will have from the first seven years of Obama’s Presidency. They ranged from failed programs to out of control spending to outright lawbreaking. The first of those four posts can be seen at:

But two months later I realized that those four posts came up short. I needed another two posts to cover all of the bad memories and failings of what I consider the worst Presidency of my lifetime. The first of those two posts can be seen at:

But recent events lead me to do another post on this theme, the bad memories of a bad Presidency. Last week Donald Trump had to cancel a campaign rally in Chicago because people opposed to his Presidential run threatened violence and disturbances. Trump heeded the advice of law enforcement and cancelled the rally. 

This led Obama to criticize Trump and his rhetoric and accuse Trump of causing the unrest, which of course is totally false. The unrest was caused by professional civil disturbers and unpatriotic Americans who wanted to disrupt and prevent the expression of First Amendment rights of people who had a different opinion than theirs.

But I found it so ironic and ignorant of this President accusing someone else of having hateful rhetoric. This President, numerous times, as you will see below, has been either a major instigator of violent rhetoric or stood by and gave his tacit and implicit approval of violent political rhetoric directed at ordinary Americans who had a difference of opinion relative to his policies. Him accusing Trump of violent rhetoric is so hypocritical as to be pathetic.

Yesterday, we did the first part of our review of how Obama rhetoric has made hate and violence more likely in this country. We reviewed how he called those that had a difference of opinion from his opinion “enemies that needed to be punished,” told his supporters to get in the face of his political enemies, to bring a gun to a brawl, to get out of the way, and remained silent when his supporters called female supporters of other politicians whores, bitches, c***s, etc. 

So let’s see what this “non-violent” President has said or implicitly approved of in the past when it comes to violent oratory:

1) Our first example today involves Obama trying to talk tough but certainly not being Presidential or mature. Early in his Presidency, we suffered through almost ninety days of a Gulf oil spin out of a BP offshore oil drilling platform. Obama was accused of being too timid and uninvolved in leading the country and the Federal government to a solution to the oil spill. The reality that he took several vacations and made several cross country political fund raising trips probably had a lot to do with his bad image.

But then he struck out at those critics and his seemingly passivity: "I don't sit around talking to experts because this is a college seminar. We talk to these folks because they potentially have the best answers, so I know whose ass to kick."

Really, “whose ass to kick?” How un-Presidential is this type of rhetoric? While it was not directed against a political opponent, a President saying it is okay to kick someone’s ass cannot help but contribute to the overall level of hostility in this country if the leader is looking to kick someone’s ass. Oh, and by the way, I do not believe he actually did kick someone’s ass so not only did his position contribute to the overall level of hostility in the country but no one even felt his wrath and got fired or demoted for not doing their job.

2) Consider the following President Obama remark from the past: “After all, there were thousands of so-called campus radicals, most of them white and tenured and happily tolerant. No, it remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names." Prove what side you are on, strike out, take names, all of which are code words for “it is us against them,” certainly a way to encourage violence and retaliation against those that disagree with us.

3) A quote from Obama’s first Presidential campaign: “And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations." Interpretation: Americans who are not like us are pathetic, they are bitter little people who, unlike us, pitifully cling to their guns and religion, that is all they have to show for their lives. 

4) “If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.” Let’s belittle and demean Americans who have worked hard to be successful and contributing members of society, let’s cut them down to size by demeaning their efforts to be successful by trying to tell the world that only the government can claim success for anyone’s life accomplishments.

5) But this President was not always so explicit in his violent and divisive rhetoric. Sometimes he stood silently by as his political allies put forth the violent rhetoric that he now accuses Trump of using:

• When White House czar Van Jones called all Republicans a**h***s, Obama was silent. 
• When Louis Farrakhan said in Miami last year that the time has come for 10,000 black volunteers to step forward to kill white Americans, Obama was silent. 
• When Democrat Alan Grayson called all Republicans knuckle dragging Neanderthals, Obama was silent. 
• When union boss and Democratic supporter Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. stated that his union was at war with the Republicans and Tea Party and that those people "need to be taken out," Obama was silent. 
• When Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Walters said ordinary American citizens can go to hell simply for having a difference of opinion with her, Obama was silent.
• When liberal Elizabeth Ashack, an economist at the Department of Labor, said that all Christians are Nazis, Obama was silent. 
• When HBO TV host Bill Maher, a major donor to Obama’s 2012 Presidential Super PAC, said on air that Republican Sarah Palin “would f*** Rick Perry if he was black,” Obama was silent. 
• When Maher called Republican Sarah Palin disgusting and derogatory female anatomical names that I will not repeat here, Obama was silent. 

When members of your political party, your financial backers, or Federal employees are calling for the death of political opponents, call them disgusting names, wish they would go to hell, etc., and as President of the United States, someone who is supposed to represent ALL Americans, remains silent, it is just as bad as if he himself had verbalized the same slurs and disgusting rhetoric.

So Mr. President, please do one of two things:

• If you think that Trump is promoting violence and divisiveness in this country, than please step up and be a leader for once and tell EVERYONE in the country to start discussing issues and drop the hateful rhetoric which is preventing the country from discussing solutions to those major issues. In other words, stop acting like a community organizer who only wants his side to win and finally start acting Presidential that represents every American and wants what is best for EVERY American.
• If you cannot act Presidential, than please just be quiet because the violence and angry rhetoric and bitterness in this country is an environment that you were a major contributor to with both your nasty comments and your silence in the presence of nasty comments on behalf of your political allies.

The Slime, Sleaze, Immorality, and Corruption Of The American Political Class - Part 5

This will finally be the last post in our series on the sleaze and generally bad behavior of the American class. It is really a sad commentary when it takes five days to cover bad politicans acting badly. Today we will focus on the disrespect and slandering of ordinary Americans over the past few years by our politicians, simply for having a different, honest, and usually informed position on an issue.

These insults and condescension fall into two general categories. The first category are the insults that Democratic politicians and their political allies have heaped on non-Democtatic Party women. You cannot say you are defending the rights of women, as President Obama insists he is doing, when you allow half of the women in this country, Republican leaning women, to be demeaned and insulted, as illustrated by the following slurs, by your political allies:

• When the campaign manager of Democrat’s Gerry Brown’s gubernatorial campaign called his Republican opponent, Meg Whitman, a whore, Obama was silent.
• When TV host Montel Williams had publicly hoped that Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachman would commit suicide by decapitating herself, Obama was silent.
• When Ed Schultz, an on air commentator for the Democratic leaning MSNBC news channel, called Laura Ingraham of Fox News a slut, Obama was silent.
• When HBO TV host Bill Maher, a major donor to Obama’s 2012 Presidential Super PAC (a $1 million donor), said on air that Republican Sarah Palin “would f*** Rick Perry if he was black,” Obama was silent.
• When Bill Maher called Republican Sarah Palin a disgusting and derogatory name that I will not repeat here, Obama was silent.
• When Playboy magazine’s online website offered a detailed analysis on why and how each of ten Republican women in politics should be hate raped, Obama was silent.
• When a rap artist gave a Minnesota concert that was billed as the “F*** Michelle Bachman” concert (spelling out the entire f-word), a Republican Congresswoman from Minnesota, Obama was silent.
• When a Democratic operative insulted Ann Romney, and millions of other American women, by slandering and demeaning her as a stay at home mother, Obama was silent.

I am not saying that Obama should have responded to all of these degradations of Republican women. However, he cannot claim he is working hard for all of the women in the country when he allows half of them, those with a differing political view, to be called sluts, whores, worthy of hate rapes, and other terms too graphic too repeat here.

He should be a leader, he should be setting the tone of civil political dialog, not remaining silent. He is not a leader or a defender of women's rights when he does not represent the good name and integrity of women who are not Democrats. I cannot remember any time in my life when politicians had such a low regard for law abiding American citizens of a different political stripe, a time when citizens, in this case American women, have been so degraded by those in government.

But it is not just American women that have been slandered by the political class. All types of Americans who have had honest differences of opinion with this administration have also been slammed and insulted by politicians while those supposedly in a leadership position, especially the President, have remained silent, giving their tacit support and encouragement:

• When Democrat Speaker Of The House Nancy Pelosi called opponents to Obama Care unpatriotic for simply having a difference of opinion with many politicians in Washington, Obama was silent.
• When Democrat Charles Rangel slandered millions of Americans who opposed Obama Care by calling them racists for simply having an honest difference of opinion with many politicians in Washington, Obama was silent.
• When Democrat Shelia Jordan Lee slandered of Americans who opposed Obama Care by associating them with the Ku Klux Klan, Obama was silent.
• When White czar Van Jones called all Republicans a**h****s, Obama was silent.
• When Democrat Alan Grayson called all Republicans knuckle dragging Neanderthals, Obama was silent.
• When union boss and Democratic supporter Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. stated that his union was at war with the Republicans and Tea Party and that those people "need to be taken out," Obama was silent.
• When Democratic Congressmen Mike Doyle and Henry Waxman and Vice President Joe Biden slandered Americans opposed to unfettered and destructive government spending and debt by calling them terrorists (those people that bomb and kill and innocent civilians), Obama was silent.
• When ordinary Americans objected to the building of a Islamic mosque near the World Trade Center property because of the memories of 9-11 and Democrat Nancy Pelosi said THEY should be investigated for simply having an opinion on the mosque, Obama was silent.
• When Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen likened Republican critics of Obamacare to the Nazis and their propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels, Obama was silent.
• When Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Walters said all Tea Party American citizens can go to hell simply for having a difference of opinion with her, Obama was silent.

You cannot say you are the leader of the entire country when political allies attack citizens for simply having an opinion or political opponents are called terrorists, a**h****s, racists, Nazis, or Neanderthals and you remain silent. That does not celebrate our freedom and celebrate diversity.

Again, I have never lived through a period of American history when politicians were so contemptuous of American citizens, so demeaning of American citizens, and so silent in not defending the freedom of speech right of American citizens

Okay, that does it for now. Five painful days of reviewing the slime, sleaze, immorality, and corruption of the American political class. It does not have to be this way, as laid out in "Love My Country, Loathe My Government." Imagine how just the following few steps from the book would benefit the country and our citizens if they were put into effect:

• Step 6 - allow only individuals to contribute to candidates' election campaigns, removing the stain and corruption of the massive amounts of money from businesses, unions, PACs, and lobbyists that overwhelm our election processes.
• Step 7 - allow only individuals to contribute to election campaigns that directly affect themselves, e.g. someone in Kansas could not contribute to the election campaign of a politician in New Jersey.
• Step 8 - change the composition and functions of the Federal Election Commission so that it is no longer an affiliate of the political class.
• Steps 34 and 37 - put in review processes to judge and grade Congressional performance, removing members from committees when those committees' performance is judged sub-par as well as reducing pay for politicians whose individual performance is also sub-par.
• Step 38 - the most important step: implement term limits so that everyone who serves in a Federally elected position can not run for reelection, they are all "one and done." That would eliminate a lot of the corruption that goes into our election process relative to incumbents and hopefully free up politicians to vote for the good of the country rather than the good of their hoped for long term political career.

The steps back to freedom and honest government are not hard to understand, it is the will to take back our political processes that is more difficult to find. Until that happens, cronyism, wasteful spending, adultery, lying, and the like will be the overriding characteristic of our government. Integrity, courage, thrift, problem resolution, and self sacrifice will be nowhere to be found.
