What Some/Many/Most Democratic Politicians Believe Today...And It Is Not Pretty

 For a very long  time I  really did not think there was much difference between a Democrat or Republican politician, that they were slightly different flavors of the  same food.  Their priorities, regardless of party, always seemed to be their next election victory, their egos in front of the cameras, and wealth enrichment of themselves and family and friends. Resolving  issues and crises facing  their constituents always seemed to be a lower priority regardless of party affiliation.

As a result, I have been  a long time voter, supporter, and member of  the Libertarian  Party, given the ineptness and selfishness of the two major parties. While they never won any elections, at least the Libertarians stood for  something distinct and important. 

But it seems to me that Democrats have gone out of  their way lately to carve out some distinctive positions  to distinguish themselves from their Republican counterparts. Specifically, it seems  that::

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians believe that it is perfectly normal and okay for biological men to compete with biological women athletes, endangering the female  athletes’ safety and health, denying them a level playing field and stealing their opportunity for glory and victory.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians believe that it is perfectly normal and okay for  biological men to  share biological women’s locker rooms and restrooms.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians believe that is perfectly normal  and okay for  biological boy athletes to compete with biological girl  athletes, endangering the girls’ safety and  health, denying  them a  level playing field  and stealing their opportunity for victory and  glory.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians believe it is perfectly  normal  and okay for biological  boys to share biological  girls’ locker rooms and restrooms.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians believe that  illegal  immigrants are more entitled  to taxpayer funded free food, free shelter, free healthcare, free legal support, free/discounted college tuition, free  legal service, and free  cellphone service than the millions  of  American citizens who are food insecure, homeless, cannot afford health care or health insurance, cannot afford legal service, college tuition, or cell  phone service.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians think that defunding the police was and is a great idea, an unproven concept that has resulted in higher violent crime and homicide rates without delivering on the promises that were supposed to happen when police forces are decimated.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians rush to defend many illegal immigrants who are murderers, rapists, drug traffickers, sex traffickers and child labor traffickers but go silent when innocent Americans are victims of those violent illegal immigrants, e.g.  nursing student Laken Riley who was abducted, raped and killed by an illegal  immigrant, mother of five children Rachel Morin who was  abducted, raped and killed by  an illegal immigrant, 12 year old Jocelyn Nungaray who was abducted,  raped and killed by two  illegal immigrants, etc.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians are against any improvement in education (charter schools, private schools, vouchers, teacher competency testing) that generally result in the  better education  of our  kids, preferring  traditional public schools since such support for different, better education  options would anger a primary Democratic political donor class, teachers’ unions, whose financial  support is more  important than quality education  of  our kids.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians sat silently or encouraged Biden when he weaponized the Federal government to illegally go after, hinder,  harass, and persecute innocent Americans who dared to have different views  on  issues  than him including abortion, Second Amendment rights, parents peacefully speaking out at school board meetings or being a Republican member  of Congress.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians sat silently while liberal members  of the political class, corporate news media,, and  Hollywood viciously and  disgustedly attacked conservative/Republican women, e.g. Meg  Whitman, Republicaan candidate for governor in California, was called a whore, Playboy magazine published an article that outlined why and how ten conservative/Republican women needed to be hate raped, how someone should defecate into Sarah  Palin’s mouth, Republican Congresswoman Michelle Bachman  should kill herself, etc.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians sat silent or actively participated in the vicious degradation of Americans when liberal politicians, corporate news media types, and Hollywood  elite called everyday Americans Nazis, fascists, racists, stupid, flat earth believers, deniers of science, etc.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians support abortion up to  including full term birth and after birth.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians have no solution, attention span, or brain power  to  avert the  quickly approaching bankruptcy of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians have been in Congress and the White House long enough to  accept at least partial blame for a national debt that is now about $40 TRILLION.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians are more likely to  support international terror organizations like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran than the  only democracy in the Middle  East, Israel.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians are likely to remain silent when antisemitism erupts, be it on the street or on college campuses.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians are more likely to ignore, allow, or profit from the massive fraud going on in government  programs with two Democratic political  strongholds, Minnesota and California, being  the leaders in allowing Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Covid, and  other government programs to be  defrauded of billions of taxpayer dollars.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians are more likely to be  leading major U.S. cities (Chicago, New York City, Los Angeles,  Seattle) and state governments (New  York, Illinois,  California, New Jersey)  into financial death  spirals and eventual and near term bankruptcy.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians are more likely to remain silent or actively support the insults when Democrats attack those Americans with  different opinions of themselves, e.g. Hllary Clinton’s "deplorables” statement,  Joe Biden’s "garbage" statement, Paula Collins’  MAGA  "re-education" camps statement, etc.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians are more likely to advocate against  simple and logical election safeguards that would help make sure that our elections are corruption free and represent the true wishes of Americans.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians are more likely to embrace the government concepts of Democratic Socialists, a precursor to Communism, a political and economic system that has epically failed every time in human history, often at the expense of millions of innocent lives.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians are more likely  to think that government is more important than parents in raising  kids, including  secretly sex transitioning kids and secretly providing abortion services to  kids without  notifying parents.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians think that they have the right to dictate what products citizens are allowed to use, e.g. encouraging and subsidizing electric cars, prohibiting the use of gasoline powered power tools, banning the use of natural gas appliances, etc.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians feel they have the right to force Americans to take  actions that may be against their wishes or religious tenets, e.g. you must take the untested Covid vaccine, you must buy Obama Care health insurance, etc.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians would prefer to  raise current taxes and institute new taxes than making government programs more efficient, fraud free, or disappear if those programs are useless, returning taxpayer wealth to taxpayers.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians were disgusted by the celebration of the  country’s  250th anniversary, a country and Constitution that has created unparalleled wealth and  freedom for the human race, preferring to dwell on  the problems and  shortcomings rather than working towards solutions to those problems and shortcomings.

• Some/many/most Democratic politicians always knee jerk to blame Trump for all  of their perceived ills in the country rather  than working to remedy those ills.

As I  said upfront, the Democrats have  gone out  of their way to prove what they stand for. Biological men and biological boys competing in women and girls’ sports and  sharing common locker rooms is okay. Illegal immigrants getting much better treatment than Americans  in need is okay. Government fraud,  incompetence, and economic ignorance is okay. Simply blaming Trump and  the  country for all  of  their  perceived ills while offering  no solutions is okay. Violence preached against Republican women, Republican members of Congress, Jewish  students and other citizens, and  those with a different opinion  is okay.  Weaponizing  the government to go after innocent Americans is okay.

Yes, Democrats have come a  long  way to distinguish  themselves and it is not a pretty sight. No solutions, no compassion or respect for ordinary Americans, no respect for the welfare, safety, and future of the country or its citizens.

Feel  free  to comment and  engage in a mature, adult conversation based on facts and  history on  any of the observations listed above. However, if your argument consists of  some  form  of “Trump is bad,” please do not bother. That is not a coherent or rational  argument.

January, 2024, Part 4, Political Class Insanity: More Bad Priorities In California, More Corruption In Washington, and A Secretary of Defense That Endangered Us All

  Every month we devote posts to just general political class insanity that is running rampant through the country. The members of the American political class continue to show that they are incapable of operating any level of government in this country. 

Even their best efforts are almost always inefficient and ineffective at resolving any problem facing Americans. They spend a great amount of time not trying to improve the lives of their citizens but continually ensuring their reelection and enriching themselves, their families, and their friends in the process, all at taxpayer expense.

1)Let me see  if  I got this right:

• There is a war going on in Gaza.

• There is a war going on in the Ukraine.

• Every day, U.S. naval forces are engaged in battle in the Red Sea.

• U.S. service personnel have recently been attacked multiple times in Iraq.

• China is likely planning to attack Taiwan.

• North  Korea is actively improving the range and  accuracy of its missile weapons.

• Iran is actively getting closer everyday to becoming a nuclear weapons owner.

• Turkish air force jets recently bombed two  different countries.

And in the  midst of this dangerous world,  Biden's Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, decides  this is a good time to have major  surgery for cancer, undergoing general anesthesia and he:

• Does not tell his boss, the  Commander in Chief, that he will be incapacitated for a while or where he will be.

• Does not tell his second in command, who is out of the country on vacation,  that he will be incapacitated for a while or where he will be.

• Does not tell the National Security Council that he will be  incapacitated for a while or where he will be.

• Does not formally or informally cede his responsibilities to anyone in the Pentagon while he is incapacitated for a while.

• He and his staff lie about his whereabouts for days, saying he is working from home, while he is incapacitated for a while.

In  summary, the person responsible for the safety and defense of U.S. service people around the world, the person who would be critical to deciding whether to launch nuclear weapons in defense of the country, the person who is responsible for protecting the homeland goes off the grid, goes AWOL, and tells no one what is going on for days on end. A dereliction of duty of the highest degree and , in my humble opinion, just another act of incompetence by the most incompetent Presidential administration in my lifetime.

2)We have often  discussed the reality that a number of states, e.g. California, Illinois, New York, New Jersey, have a very good chance of soon entering a financial death spiral that will drive the state government’s in one or more of these states into bankruptcy. Our theory is based on the following  realities:

• These states already place a very heavy tax burden on their in-state residents and businesses.

• These heavy tax burdens have started to drive residents and businesses  out of the states in order to keep more of their hard earned wealth and not pass it onto the state politicians that continually waste these tax dollars.

• As residents and businesses leave the state, the state government tax base and resulting tax revenue shrinks,

• Rather than reduce state government spending to align with the reduced tax revenue, the state politicians raise taxes which  drives more residents and businesses out of the state which further reduces the tax base and resulting in  more tax shortfalls.

• As the tax base continues to  shrink, government  services (police,  fire,  EMT,  education) are reduced and taxes are raised all of which  drives more people out  of the state and the financial death spiral is in place.

And the states mentioned above are seeing this scenario unfold as residents and businesses are fleeing to greener pastures and the tax shortfall and state government debt balloons. And some folks in California are taking a rather drastic step to break out  of this death spiral:

• An organization has been formed in  California whose purpose is to carve out a piece of the state and create a new state called “New California.”

• The organization recently held a rally in the state capital where it proclaimed: “Sacramento, CA will be the location for reading of the New California State Statehood Proclamation. In celebration of the 6th anniversary of New California Declaring Independence from the state of California the Affirmation, Declaration of Independence AND Statehood Proclamation will be read on the California state capital steps.”

• The organization laments the loss of freedom, the corrupted elections processes, the flood of illegal immigrants into the state and the taxpayer resources spent to accommodate them, and the higher and higher crime rates in the state’s cities.

So these folks have taken a slightly different view of a failed and oppressive set of government and political class actions. Rather than leave their respective states, like  millions have  already done,  they just want to stay in place but remove themselves from the current state political structure. Different approach, same desire: freedom from an inept.costly, and oppressive political  class.

3)We used to talk a lot about New York Congresswoman, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. At the beginning of her time in Congress, or ignorance regarding  simple life concepts was quite amusing:

• Despite having graduated with honors from a Boston university with a degree in business//economics, she had not the foggiest idea how the unemployment rate was calculated,  something she should have learned early in her high school economic class.

• She once tweeted out a video of herself where she said that the U.S.  government consisted of three branches: the Presidency, the Senate and the House of Representatives, completely forgetting about the Supreme Court.

• When Amazon was seriously considering putting a major white collar facility in her Congressional  district, a move that would have made her district very, very wealthy, her ignorance on tax breaks and taxation resulted in Amazon going elsewhere with their facility plans and economic power.

Over time though, her ignorance on so many topics got boring and a waste of time. But she was back in the news recently and not in a good way:

• A former top aide of the Congresswoman has allegedly swiped some money from donor funds from his political action committee (PAC) for his own personal use.

• At one time, Corbin Trent was Ocasio-Cortez’s communications director.

• After leaving that job, he established his own PAC called No Excuses whose main thrust was to kill a Senate filibuster.

• He then paid himself $140,000 out of the PAC funds for “consulting” while spending only $14,000 on radio ads to support his filibuster objective.

• Thus, he paid  himself ten times what he spent on his PAC’s  mission.

Now this is not to say that the Congresswoman is at fault in any way. But it is a good example of how corrupt Washington has become when a former top Congressional aide can so easily garner a pretty hefty paycheck for themselves without doing a whole lot to get it.

4)Back to California and its overreaching and inept political class. But before going into their latest antic, consider a few realities that California politicians should be focusing in:

• Residents and businesses are fleeing the  state and taking their tax dollars with them.

• Crime across the state is at a crisis level.

• Homelessness across the state is at a crisis level.

• The state is rapidly approaching a trillion dollars in unfunded future financial liabilities.

• State cities are faced with the very unhealthy reality of public defecation, urination, and drug usage.

• The state’s public schools continue to fail at educating the kids in the state.

A  lot of very nasty problems that need drastic and focused attention. Unfortunately, the state politicians are working on stupid priorities as we see below:

• Under the guise of “safeguarding” kids, the state political class is working on legislation to forbid kids under 12 years old from playing tackle football in schools or private football leagues.

• The supporters of the legislation claim that this legislation will  protect lives  and highlight the availability of alternative sports for kids.

• Two problems with these justifications for the legislation: first, in 2021, there were four football-related youth deaths NATIONALLY and those four were all high school  players, not youth football players so nationally it  is not a big problem.

• The second problem with their assumptions is that it should not be their priority to direct kids to alternative sports, given the major problems facing the state.

• Opponents of this nonsense point out that of the 89,000 kids that played tackle football in the state last year there were only 20 that may have had a concussion and one of the 89,000 kids died from  playing football.

Just a stupid waste of time and  resources for a non-problem. And let’s not forget the hypocrisy of the situation: California allows for kids to undergo transgender medical procedures, operations and hormone treatments, to change their sex without parents’ approval.  So the state political class allows for kids to undergo radical sex change operations, the long term health consequences of which are unknown, but does not want them playing football for their own health.

The football decision should be a parent and  family decision and the state politicians should be focused on issues that affect millions and millions of state residents: high taxes, failing schools, homelessness, high crime,  etc. Bad, bad priorities.

That will do it for today’s political class insanity: more corruption in Washington, more bad  priorities in California, and a Secretary of Defense that endangered us all.
