The Political Climate of Hate and Hostility that Obama, Not Trump, Created in America

At end of December, 2015, we did four posts in which I discussed the very bad memories I will have from the first seven years of Obama’s Presidency. They ranged from failed programs to out of control spending to outright lawbreaking. The first of those four posts can be seen at:

But two months later I realized that those four posts came up short. I needed another two posts to cover all of the bad memories and failings of what I consider the worst Presidency of my lifetime. The first of those two posts can be seen at:

But recent events lead me to do another post on this theme, the bad memories of a bad Presidency. Last week Donald Trump had to cancel a campaign rally in Chicago because people opposed to his Presidential run threatened violence and disturbances. Trump heeded the advice of law enforcement and cancelled the rally.

This led Obama to criticize Trump and his rhetoric and accuse Trumpo of causing the unrest, which of course is totally false. The unrest was caused by professional civil disturbers and unpatriotic Americans who wanted to disrupt and prevent the expression of First Amendment rights of people who had a different opinion than theirs.

But I found it so ironic and ignorant of this President accusing someone else of having hateful rhetoric. This President, numerous times, as you will see below, has been either a major instigator of violent rhetoric or stood by and gave his tacit and implicit approval of violent political rhetoric directed at ordinary Americans who had a difference of opinion relative to his policies. Him accusing Trump of violent rhetoric is so hypocritical as to be pathetic.

So let’s see what this “non-violent” President has said or implicitly approved of in the past when it comes to violent oratory:

1) Politico reported during Obama’s 2008 Presidential campaign against McCain that Obama said the following during a campaign event in Philadelphia: “If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun. Because from what I understand, folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.” So, don’t like someone else’s position on an issue? Make sure that you get into a brawl with that person and make sure you are more heavily armed. A little violent Mr. President? Guns, knives, brawls?

The fact that Black Panthers patrolled outside of polling stations in Philadelphia during Presidential voting in 2008 may have been a result of Obama’s inciting a brawl to his supporters in Philly.

2) In another campaign stop in 2008, Obama incited his followers with following obnoxious and aggressive rhetoric: “I need you to go out and talk to your friends, talk to your neighbors...I want you to argue with them, get in their faces...you guys are the ones who can make the change." “Get in their faces,” sounds a lot aggressive and violent to me.

3) Remember when Obama told his supporters that “we need to punish our enemies”: "If Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, 'We're gonna punish our enemies, and we're gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us' -- if they don't see that kind of upsurge in voting in this election -- then I think it's going to be harder. And that's why I think it's so important that people focus on voting on November 2nd….“Those aren’t the kinds of folks who represent our core American values.”

Let me interpret:
  • Political enemies need to be destroyed.
  • We will reign supreme and take care of those that helped vanquish our enemies.
  • Those that disagree with us do not matter, they do not represent American values, they are superfluous and need to be wiped out.
That is basically what he was saying, wipe them out, they are not like us, punish them for simply having a difference of opinion.

4) For those of you who do not understand what and who created the conditions for the Great Recession, I refer you to a comprehensive history of how the Democrats created the conditions for the Great Recession:

And whatever you think of Bush, understand that his administration saw the impending recession coming long before it hit, but Democrats in Congress constantly blocked many Bush attempts to fix the housing bubble that eventually imploded the entire economy:

Combine these discussion with the reality that Democrats controlled both houses of Congress leading up to the Great Recession, trying to put the entire responsibility for the Great Recession on Republicans is pretty weak and illogical. Which is exactly what Obama teried to do when he basically told Republicans to get the f out of the way as he swoops in to fix what he and the Democrats had a big hand in breaking: “But I don't want the folks [Republicans] who created the mess to do a lot of talking. I want them just to get out of the way so we can clean up the mess. I don't mind cleaning up after them, but don't do a lot of talking.” In other words, shut up and get out of my way. Somewhat violent, aggressive, and condescending, don’t you think?

5) But it was not just Republicans who felt the wrath of Obama’s violent rhetoric and the consequences when his supporters followed up with violence and aggression of their own. Consider some instances of Obama supporter violence examples from an American Thinker website article back in the 2008 Presidential campaign that was directed both at Republicans and Democrats:
  • Dr. Lynette Long, a one time Hillary Clinton supporter, compiled video testimonials of how Obama supporters had abused and aggressively acted against Clinton supporters.
  • Her video contained dozens of instances where mostly middle women were accosted and yelled at obscenely by Obama supporters in state caucuses back in 2008.
  • Female Clinton supporters claim that there were called c***s, and other sexual names, that they were spit on by Obama supporters, physically threatened with violence amidst an overall environment of open hostility.
  • The article also discusses the incident when women supporting McCain were accosted on the street during a peaceful demonstration in support of McCain where Obama supporters came by, calling the women c***s, white whores, and stupid bitches.
  • Besides the verbal abuse, the article claims and witnesses to the harassment claim that the young Obama supporters also shoved them physically.
  • Nowhere in the article or anywhere online coudl I find where Obama or any of his handlers came out and demanded this thuggery stop and that the behavior of his supporters be much less aggressive and violent and abusive.
That will do it for today but as you can see, Obama helped create the environment that he now lectures Trump on. Calling women c***s, whores, telling Americans to get out of the way, telling Americans you they need to be punished, telling Americans that they are the enemy, telling his supporters to bring guns and knives to a brawl, telling his supporters to get in others faces. That is the hateful environment that Obama created, lecturing others is so hypocritical and such an absence of leadership.

Unfortunately we will need to do another post tomorrow since we are not yet done on the hateful rhetoric and hateful quotes that this President has encouraged, spoken, and allowed.

Note: to see the video clips where the President actually puts forth this violent rhetoric in his own words go to:

Hate Week, Part 5: The Summary ... And A Solution

Alright, we have gone through five days of political hate so let's summarize the examples we have uncovered. At the end of the list I think it will be pretty clear that the hateful speech, the slander, the slurs, and condescension is rampant and probably the main reason why politicians never get anything done. They are still reacting to the previous insult that was flung their way by a political opponent. making them too busy to actually do any governing:
  • Democrat Speaker Of The House Nancy Pelosi called citizens opponents to Obama Care unpatriotic for simply having a difference of opinion with many politicians in Washington.
  • Democrat Charles Rangel slandered millions of Americans who opposed Obama Care by calling them racists for simply having an honest difference of opinion with many politicians in Washington.
  • Democrat Shelia Jordan Lee slandered millions of Americans who opposed Obama Care by associating them with the Ku Klux Klan.
  • Union boss and Democratic supporter Jimmy Hoffa, Jr. stated that his union was at war with the Republicans and Tea Party citizens and that these people "need to be taken out."
  • Democratic Congressmen Mike Doyle and Henry Waxman and Democratic Vice President Joe Biden slandered American citizens opposed to unfettered and destructive government spending and debt by calling them terrorists (those people that bomb and kill innocent civilians).
  • When ordinary Americans objected to the building of an Islamic mosque near the World Trade Center property because of the sad memories of 9-11, Democrat Nancy Pelosi said THEY should be investigated for simply having a passionate opinion on the mosque.
  • Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Walters said all Tea Party American citizens can go to hell simply for having a difference of opinion with her.
  • The campaign manager of Democrat’s Gerry Brown’s gubernatorial campaign called his Republican opponent, Meg Whitman, a whore.
  • Democratic White House czar Van Jones publicly called all Republicans a**h****s.
  • Democrat Alan Grayson called all Republicans knuckle dragging Neanderthals.
  • Liberal TV host Montel Williams publicly hoped that Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachman would commit suicide by decapitating herself.
  • Ed Schultz, an on air commentator for the Democratic enforcers at the MSNBC news channel, called Laura Ingraham of Fox News a slut.
  • Liberal HBO TV host Bill Maher, a major donor to Obama’s 2012 Presidential Super PAC (a $1 million donor), said on air that Republican Sarah Palin “would f*** Rick Perry if he was black.”
  • Liberal Bill Maher called Republican Sarah Palin disgusting and derogatory body part names that I will not repeat here
  • Playboy magazine’s online website offered a detailed analysis on why and how each of ten Republican women in politics should be hate raped.
  • Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen likened Republican critics of Obamacare to the Nazis and their propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels.
  • A liberal rap artist gave a Minnesota concert that was billed as the “F*** Michelle Bachman” concert (spelling out the entire f-word), a Republican Congresswoman from Minnesota.
  • A Democratic operative insulted Ann Romney, and millions of other American women, by slandering and demeaning her as a stay at home mother.
  • Martin Bashier of MSNBC News showed a video of Mitt Romney’s campaign bus that was interspersed with video clips of buses blowing up in balls of fire, explicitly wishing that the Romney bus also blow up and those inside die a fiery death.
  • Liberal Professor Richard Parncutt of the University of Graz wants to execute other human beings that are global warming deniers for simply having a different opinion than his.
  • Liberal newspaper columnist Donald Kaul wrote an article for the Des Moines Register where he called for the killing of gun owners and “dragging legislators who disagree with gun control behind pickup trucks until they get the message.”
  • Liberal Erik Loomis, PhD, assistant professor of history at the University of Rhode Island decided that he wanted the death of National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO Wayne LaPierre, branding the gun rights group he heads as a terrorist organization: "[I] want Wayne LaPierre's head on a stick."
  • Liberal Karen Lewis, head of the Chicago Teachers’ Union had some violent rhetoric of her own to share: “Do not think for a minute that the wealthy are ever going to allow you to legislate their riches away from them. Please understand that. However, we are in a moment where the wealth disparity in this country is very reminiscent of the robber baron ages. The labor leaders of that time, though, were ready to kill. They were. They were just – off with their heads. They were seriously talking about that.”
  • Liberal Elizabeth Ashack, an economist at the Department of Labor, thinks that all Christians are Nazis.
  • Democratic Indiana state representative Vanessa Summers publicly stated that a fellow legislator’s 18 month old son is a racist.
  • Democratic Brooklyn City Councilwoman and African-American Laurie Cumbo is ticked off that so many Hispanic people have gotten into two housing projects, so ticked off that she wants to separate the races and cultures into their own ghettos, kind of sounds like segregation.
  • If you believe the reality of the sad state of the Social Security Administration’s dire financial straits, you are a liar according to liberal leaning U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders.
  • Republican Senators are too stupid to understand the multi-syllable words I am using, according to Democratic White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest.
  • All men should die or get f**ked, according to Democratic activist Sarah Noble.

Unpatriotic, racists, Klan members, Neanderthals, need to be taken out, terrorists, go to hell, whore, slut, a**h***s, self decapitation, f***, female body parts, hate rape, Nazis, Joseph Goebbels, being a housewife, blowing up a bus, execute those with a different opinion, head on a stick, drag behind a pickup, truck, Nazis (again), too stupid to understand my big words, die, and get f**ked. Not sure anything will ever get done when insults and slurs like this are flying about.

But wait you may say? How come you only picked on Democrats and liberals and their hateful speech and insults? Good question. I narrowed my hate week examples to Democrats and liberals for two reasons:

  1. In my experience and readings, Democrats and liberals are far more likely to revert to childish name calling and insults vs. Republicans, especially when they do not get their way. Rather than discuss contrary points of view, they are much quicker to go the insult and hate route, in my opinion. As a person who detests both parties and who has almost always voted Libertarian for over forty years, I think I have a pretty independent and unique view of both parties and their behavior.
  2. Democrats are far more hypocritical in their actions and thoughts as they keep telling themselves and everyone else that they are the more sensitive, more forgiving, more open to new ideas than Republicans and conservatives.  But as you see from the summaries above and the discussions we have been having over the past five days, that self perception of kindness and welcoming diversity could not be any further from the truth. Or as William F.Buckley, Jr. said long ago: “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views.” To which they then call holders of these other views racist, Nazis, sluts, whores, etc.
Who is to blame for all of this hatred and divisiveness? I blame both the American political class and Americans voters like you and I that have allowed the political class to pervert our democracy processes, resulting in politicians that always get reelected without performing any worthwhile service to society.

In the process, they divide and conquer Americans, keeping us fighting amongst ourselves rather holding their feet to fire to lead the country in an adult and caring manner. Or as we described in "Love My Country, Loathe My Government:"

The two political parties within the same political class pick their friends (special interest groups) and pick their enemies in order to get their friends excited about reelecting the same tired politicians over and over. By pitting citizen against citizen, the political class is able to continue to get elected without making any serious or courageous decisions to help freedom or benefit the country. The endgame is to get elected regardless of who they make out the enemy to be: "Elect me or those people might take control!" Or, according to an Orwell quote: "The primary aim of modern warfare is to use up the products of the machine without raising the general standard of living." In other words, by working up our own special interest groups and pitting them against their special interest groups, we can divert attention and from the real problems and use the conflict to stay in power.

That is the reality going on in this country today., The real enemies are not overseas, the real enemies are the politicians who will do anything to get reelected and enrich themselves even if it pits one American against another.

So the next time you root for a politician that calls any American a slut, a whore, a racist, etc. for simply having a different opinion, realize that you are now part of the problem. Until we truly value diversity and start listening to each other as adults and respectful human beings, the hate will continue and nothing will ever get accomplished by the worst, most childish and most useless set of politicians to ever serve in office.

Hate Week, Part 4: Liars, Idiots, and All Men Should Die

Over the past week or so a number of potential Presidential candidates have come forward to throw their hats in the ring for the 2016 Presidential elections. Which means that the hateful hollering and yelling and name calling has started already, something that will go on for at least the next year and a half. And likely intensify and dehumanize as we get closer to the election.

Unfortunately, mature and adult political debate has disappeared a long time ago. Instead, we are stuck with a version of political divisiveness that was first explained by George Orwell in his novel, 1984:

"This is not to say that either the conduct of war, or the prevailing attitude towards it, has become less bloodthirsty or more chivalrous. On the contrary, war hysteria is continuous and universal in all countries, and such acts as raping, looting, the slaughter of children, the reduction of whole populations to slavery, and reprisals against prisoners which extend even to boiling and burying alive, are looked upon as normal, and, when they are committed by one's own side and not by the enemy, meritorious."

This was the original quote. It does not take too much imagination to get from this Orwell view of oppression to today's divisive political environment to get to the following edited version by simply changing just a few words:

"This is not to say that either the conduct of politics, or the prevailing attitude towards it, has become less bloodthirsty or more chivalrous. On the contrary, politics is continuous and universal in all parts of the country, and such acts as name calling, personal degradation, accusations of unpatriotism, sexual degradation, verbal assaults, the reduction of whole groups of fellow citizens with opposing views to idiocy and reprisals against common Americans with opposing views, are looked upon as normal, and, when they are committed by one's own side and not by the enemy, meritorious."

Rather than lead and fix the problems facing the country, today's politicians only know a scorched earth approach to life and serving the country, worried only about their own careers and self enrichment, the good of the country and the citizens be damned. It does not matter if you have good ideas and principles, the only thing that matters is to eviscerate your opponents with lies, deceptions, innuendos, and nasty trash talking.

As a result, we never resolve any of the major issues in this country. Political dialog is venomous and divides Americans into separate camps and tribes, shutting down all hope of compromise and progress. And this is exactly what the political class wants. We fight each other while they continue to enrich themselves and their political donors, destroying our economy, freedoms, and civility in the process.

So for the past week or so we are calling out the haters, both the political ones and their respective allies in the media who are all too eager to join in the slander, mudslinging, and hate. Until we stop yelling at each other and start holding politicians accountable for adult behavior and adult leadership, we will continue to be stuck with the sad state of the nation that we have allowed the political class to create where it seems that they are the only ones who are doing well.

We started this "hate week" off  with two previous posts we have written in the past. Today and the previous two posts got into the most recent instances of hate and call out the haters for the divisions they have driven into Americans.

1) If you are going to stoop so low as to call someone a liar, you should have the facts straight on your side of the argument. Otherwise, you look like an idiot...or U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders. The good Senator from Vermont recently spouted out a little hate relative to Social Security: “When people tell you Social Security is going broke, you look them in the eye and tell them they’re not telling you the truth. Today, the Social Security Trust Fund has a $2.8 trillion surplus,” Sanders said. “So when people tell you Social Security is going broke, you look them in the eye and tell them they're not telling you the truth.”

So if you do not believe the Senator, you are a liar. But his statement clearly shows his ignorance when it comes to basic accounting relative to Social Security. There is no pile of gold, Google stock shares, oil rigs, or pile of cash anywhere that is owned by the Social Security Administration that is worth $2.8 TRILLION. Does not exist, has not existed for about fifty years.

Since the Johnson administration, the Federal government and the Washington politicians that operate it have taken the taxes paid under the Social Security laws and used it to pay for other government operations. After raiding that wealth, they left behind an IOU note saying that the Federal government owed the Social Security administration trillions of dollars. Trust me,those notes are not worth the paper they might have been written on, never mind being worth $2.8 TRILLION.

But the Federal government does not have a pile of gold, Google stocks, etc.since they spent that wealth long ago. Instead, they tax Americans more to make up for the robbery and transfer those additional taxes to pay social security benefits. It is a pay, and tax, as you go process, there is no surplus fund. In fact, the Social Security program ran a $47.8 billion deficit in 2012 as the program brought in $725.429 billion in taxes and paid out $773.247 for benefits and overhead expenses, according to published by Social Security Administration.

So you are a liar if you understand basic accounting and reality and you are a name calling Senator if you do not understand.

2) Josh Earnest is Obama’s press secretary. He even got into the hate act recently relative to the fight over whether to confirm Loretta Lynch as the new Attorney General.

Reacting to a comment by Iowa Senator Grassley, Earnest said: “That in my mind is an astounding display of duplicity. It’s possible that Senator Grassley has been in Washington too long.” Ah, the old hate argument that if you do not agree with me you are wrong and maybe you need to go home. Given that a lot of Americans voted for Senator Grassley to represent them in Washington, maybe Earnest is the one that needs to go home, no one voted for him.

But it gets better. When asked if his condescending attitude was helpful to getting Lynch confirmed, he expanded his condescension to all Republicans: “I’ll just observe….that being nice has gotten us a 160 day delay. Maybe after they look up ‘duplicitous’ in the dictionary, we'll get a different result.” Did not know that Mr. Earnest was so much smarter than all Republicans, using big words that his political rivals have to reach for a dictionary to understand. Such condescension, such hate, such immature rhetoric from a press secretary no less, and not a good one at that.
3) One more piece of hate and venom for today. A Democrat activist who sits on two national Democratic party committees has been suspended from her regional party after a string of nasty sexist comments on social media. Sarah Noble made some pretty disgusting and multiple tweets on Twitter, including “kill all men”, “f**k men”, and “die cis[gendered] scum:”

Ms. Noble sits on the national committees of the LGBT Liberal Democrats and the Secular & Humanist Liberal Democrats. She has also been elected to the executive committee of the National Union of Students’ LGBT wing, which, like the LGBT Lib Dems, has a zero-tolerance attitude towards hate speech. Doe not seem like a good way to make friends and influence people relative to your issues and passions: kill, f**k, die. That will certainly make people sit up and take notice of what you are fighting for. Not. Pathetic.

That will do it for today. A U.S. Senator is not only too stupid to understand Social Security but goes out and calls those that disagree with his incorrect version of reality liars, a lowly press secretary calls the majority of U.S. Senators too stupid to understand a big word he used, and a Democratic activist that wants half of the world’s population to die or get f**ked.

Are we starting to see why nothing ever gets accomplished in American politics any more? Tough to sit down and have adult conversations when the person across the table calls you a liar, stupid or desires your death.

That will do it for the hate examples that we have discussed over the past four days. We will summarize all of those posts tomorrow and provide a warning of what is really going on behind the hatred and why we are done as a democracy unless we change the habits, attitudes , and integrity of those that infest our political processes today.

Hate Week, Part 4: MSNBC The Haters, Harry Reid The LIar, and Harry Reid the Name Caller

Over the past week or so a number of potential Presidential candidates have come forward to throw their hats in the ring for the 2016 Presidential elections. Which means that the hateful hollering and yelling and name calling has started already, something that will go on for at least the next year and a half. Until we stop yelling at each other and start holding politicians accountable for adult behavior and adult leadership, we will continue to be stuck with the sad state of the nation that we have allowed the political class to create where it seems that they are the only ones who are doing well.

This is our fourth post in this hate series. The first post can be accessed at:

1) Today we begin with another doozy of hate from the worst watched cable news network, MSNBC. Before going to their latest insanity, let’s review just two of their epic political hate presentations that we have previously covered:

- During the 2012 Presidential campaign, the network put together a series of video clips of buses catching on fire. Interspersed within those bus on fire clips were short video clips of the Romney campaign bus. The obvious implication is that MSNBC, which is supposed to be an unbiased news organization, was clearly rooting for Obama to win by fantasizing that the Romney bus would blow up, killing all of those inside.

Yes, that is what the media has become, rooting for people to die to get their political favorites elected. I cannot imagine the outrage that would have occurred from MSNBC if Fox News had done the same video collage but used the Obama campaign bus instead.

That news report/fantasy can be viewed at:

- Another time, an MSNBC news caster fantasized that someone should defecate in Sarah Palin’s mouth to shut her up, simply because she had a different opinion than his and his network’s. Yes, if we cannot burn them alive in a bus fire, let’s at least defecate in their mouth. Pathetically hateful and disgusting thoughts, in any human context, but obviously standard fare at MSNBC.

That broadcast clip can be see at:

Which gets us to the latest insanity and stupidity from MSNBC. Ted Cruz, U.S. Senator from Texas and Republican Presidential candidate, was recently interviewed where he said he became a fan of country music after the 9-11 attacks. He basically said that country, vs. rock and roll, captured the patriotic spirit of American better than rock music did in the time following attacks and since then has been a fan of country music. Simple enough, free country, enjoy the music you like.

As a follow up MSNBC discussion to the Cruz interview, Ebony magazine’s Jamilah Lemieux made an incredible idiotic and hate filled statement: “Nothing says let’s go kill some Muslims like country music.” Huh? Country music says kill Muslims? Idiotic.

I have plenty of country music on my iPod and I have listened to alot of country music since 9-11. And I have never come across ANY country song that advocated killing Muslims, never mind condemning the entire music genre for the genres supposed focus on killing Muslims. How can one get from “I like country music” to country music stands for and advocates killing Muslims? The way you get their is to take any strand and thread and refocus it on hate for political gain. In this case trying to smear Cruz with the implicaiotn that he advocates killing Muslims.

A follow up statement by MSNBC host Ari Melber, dug this hate hole deeper: “There’s plenty of country music that doesn’t have that message, right?” That stupid question implies that a good chunk of country music lyrics concern that specific killing Muslims subject, which is also idiotic.

If Obama or Biden had been interviewed and said they like country music, you can bet that MSNBC would have viewed that as a positive aspect of their embracing of diversity, not that country music advocates for killing Muslims.

Obviously the MSNBC switchboard lit up immediately with calls since near the end of the broadcast, Melber apologized. “We have a programming note. A few minutes ago on this show, a guest made a comment about country music. That comment was not appropriate, and we want to be clear that this network does not condone it.”

Given that I bet very few country music fans are watching MSNBC news broadcasts (in fact, given the latest ratings results, very few of ANYONE is watching MSNBC news broadcasts), you know that the hard core liberal and Democratic viewers of MSNBC even found the hate over the top and over the line.

You can view the insanity at the following link:

2) Democrat Harry Reid was the Senate Majority Leader for the first six years of the Obama Presidency. Thus, he had a biased view of supporting a current President from his political party, I have no problem with that. But during the 2012 Presidential election, he blatantly lied when he said that Mitt Romney had not paid Federal income taxes for ten years. Not that he suspected, not that he had heard,he stated as fact that Romney had not paid income taxes. Unfortunately, the sound bite made for good PR for Obama and bad PR for Romney and possibly had a major impact on the Romney loss.

Recently when asked about the accusation he made and whether it was true, Reid simply said that Romney lost the election, didn’t he? Not that what Reid said was true, only that it achieved its purpose, to help defeat Romney. Rather than debate the issues and potential solutions, rather than have some degree of integrity and dignity, Reid took the low road and had so much hate that leveraged Americans’ hared of tax evaders to direct that hatred towards an innocent American. Pathetic leadership and a potentially significant shortchanging of Americas, all based on a lie.

3) Let’s stay with Mr. Reid. When recently interviewed by CNBC and asked what he thought of the current crop of Republicans vying for the Republican nomination for President. Now keep in mind that many of those candidates, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, and Marco Rubio, are also members of the U.S. Senate and peers of Harry Reid.

Rather than give them the respect they deserve, and the voters that voted them into office, Reid did not hesitate when asked and simply called them “losers.” If they are losers, than the tens of millions of American voters that voted them into office are also losers. Harry Reid is a very small man, in both physical height and respect for others. Any wonder why the U.S. Senate has been so dysfunctional since Reid became Majority Leader when he publicly views his peers as losers.

So what did we learn from the haters today:
  • MSNBC is not an unbiased, non-hate filled new organization given their public wish that political opponents die in a fiery crash, political opponents choke after being defecated into their mouth, and that they will go to any extreme to paint political opponents as radicals even if it means inanely equating country music with the desire to kill Muslims.
  • Harry Reid hates his political opponents to much that he is willing to issue outrageous lies, not to benefit the country and its citizens, but to simply win an election at the cost of all integrity.
  • Reid is the number contributor to Senate dysfunction with his hatred and disrespect of anyone who dares to think differently than him, naming losers in a public forum.
Any wonder why nothing ever gets accomplished with this kind of poisoned political rhetoric going on? Still more hate tomorrow.

Hate Week, Part 3: A Hating Government Employee, Picking On A Toddler, and Bringing Back Segreation

So for a week or so we are going to call out the haters, both the political ones and their respective allies in the media who are all too eager to join in the slander, mudslinging, and hate. Until we stop yelling at each other and start holding politicians accountable for adult behavior and adult leadership, we will continue to be stuck with the sad state of the nation that we have allowed the political class to create, where it seems that they are the only ones who are doing well.

We started this "hate week" off the past two days with two previous posts we have written in the past. Today and going forward, we will get into the most recent instances of hate and call out the haters for the divisions they have driven into America.

1) Everyone in the country should be allowed to have an opinion, even if it is contrary to what everyone else thinks about a topic and others' opinions. That is fine. However, a member of the Federal government should not be publishing their opinion via Twitter under the banner of their Federal job.

But that is exactly what an economist employed at the Federal government’s Department of Labor did when she went off on a hate filled, name calling rant on Twitter. She determined that ALL Christians are Nazis because of the Indiana Religious Freedom Law. The rant came about as a result of the numerous instances where business owners, specially wedding related businesses like bakeries and photographers, have refused to offer their services to same sex marriage ceremonies based on their religious beliefs.

Yes, the group of people that slaughtered over six million Jews and whose military aggression killed tens of millions of others in World War II are the equivalent of all Christians since a handful of bakeries will not bake a cake. The Tweet is reproduced below:

So, in her mind, all Christians are “Nazis” because a small minority of them want to actually exercise their right to free speech and the free expression of religion, both of which are protected under the First Amendment. Can we see how calling people Nazis is probably not the way to convince them of your view and opinion of life?
Even if she had not done the tweet under the banner of the Federal government, it would have been hate filled and counter productive to improving gay rights. The fact that she uses the Federal government banner to legitimize her view makes it all the worse and more oppressive.http://www.youngcons.com/economist-with-the-department-of-labor-calls-christians-nazis-because-of-religious-freedom-law/2) I think we have all come across a toddler in our lives who is very shy in the presence of strangers, maybe hiding behind a parent when introduced to a stranger. Most of us would just smile and say little kids will be little kids. However, in Indiana if a little kid is bashful he is a racist….. according to Indiana State Representative Vanessa Summers. Ms. Summers was speaking on that pesky Indiana Religious Freedom Restoration Act and referred to a fellow politician’s 18 month toddler son: “I love his little son, but he’s scared of me because of my color — and that’s horrible."Yes, apparently in Indiana white kids become racist at a very young age because they are bashful around adults. The hate continued with her additional comments: “It’s true. And that’s something we are going to work on. … I asked him please, ‘Introduce your child to some people of color so he won’t live his life as a prejudice person.’ I would like for you all to not vote for this bill. He looked at me like I was a monster and turned around and cried. And I told him you need to introduce your child to some people that are dark-skinned so he will not be scared.”It’s one thing to throw some racist accusation or other type of hatred to an adult. But when you bring another person's 18 month old son into the hate diatribe, that crosses so many lines of hate. And some politicians wonder why there is not a lot of cooperation in politics. Hard to be nice to others when they attack your toddler with such venom and insanity.http://rightwingnews.com/democrats/crazy-democrat-worries-about-racism-of-colleagues-18-month-old-son/3) One last piece of hate for today, its gets pretty slimy pretty quickly. Before we get into the story, keep in mind what would have happened if a white politician had said what the following black politician recently said.Brooklyn City Councilwoman and African-American Laurie Cumbo was recently talking about a housing problem that she had identified. In her infinite wisdom she thinks that there are too many “Asians” living in two New York City housing projects: “How is it that one specific ethnic group [Asians] has had the opportunity to move into a development in large numbers?”After rightful rush of opposition and indignity towards her racist comments, she offered an apology but then she continued to dig the hole she created for herself: “There could be some benefit to housing people by culture . . . I think it needs to be discussed," Cumbo related to the New York Post.So let’s review. Great African American leaders like Martin Luther King, Jr. spent their entire lives getting rid of the racist segregationist policies that existed throughout the country. They wanted all Americans to be treated as equals and to break down the barriers that kept the races apart. And now a Brooklyn politician wants to undo all of the anti-segregationist progress and treat everyone as a faceless and mindless drone of a cultural group. Based on your heritage and culture and race, that is how the world should exist in her eyes. God forbid that the races intermingle in her view and that is a racist hatred.
http://www.mrctv.org/blog/nyc-councilwoman-too-many-asians-housing-projects

Can you see why the country never resolves any issues? It is tough to compromise and have a mature conversation with someone with a contrary view when in their biased and hate filled eyes you are branded a Nazi because of your religion, your toddler son is branded a racist, and some politician wants to go back to our segregationist past based on everyone's race. That will do it for today’s hate review. More tomorrow.

Hate Week, Part 2, Retro From January, 2013: How About A Little More Hate Control Before More Gun Conrol

Over the past week or so a number of potential Presidential candidates have come forward to throw their hats in the ring for the 2016 Presidential elections. How About More Hate Control Before More Gun Control, Part 1 - Maybe Hatred Is The Real Root Cause Of Mass Shootings

Be forewarned: there is some bad language and implied bad language in the following so please pass if this might offend you. These are not my words but actually the words of our politiciains and their supporters.

Today is the first of a four part series regarding the Newtown, Connecticut shooting where innocent kids and teachers were needlessly slaughtered be a deranged young man. Let me state a few facts up front:
  • I was tremendously saddened by this senseless act of violence.
  • I do not know how a young man can become so separated from compassion and reality and have so little respect for life that he would kill innocent children and teachers.
  • I am not a psychologist and have no understanding from a psychology/scientific perspective of the root causes which trigger a young man to execute this type of terror, and neither do 99.9% of the people with an opinion on this matter and 100% of those in the Washington political class.
  • I am not a member of the NRA and have never fired a gun, never mind owning one.
  • I am a fervent defender of the U.S. Constitution including the Second Amendment.
Today I want to consider a concept that I have not seen discussed in the media and certainly not by those in politics that want to strip law abiding, common sense citizens of their right to bear arms. The concept involves the idea that maybe we should do a little hate control BEFORE we recklessly and senselessly go off on a gun control tangent, a tangent that will likely increase crime and gun play, not reduce it (more on this latter concept tomorrow).

Let’s be honest, there is a lot of hate and venom circulating in the country today. Much of it is fomented by the political class as they foolishly try to incite their supporters and degrade their opponents in the most dehumanizing and disrespective ways possible.

The more you dehumanize others, the easier it is to see them as less worthy of their opinion and their life. Maybe if we started respecting each other a little more, taking some of the hate and venom out of our politics, thought processes, and speech, incidents like the shootings in Newtown, in south Chicago, in the ghettos of Detroit, etc. might be become a little less frequent if we respected each other a little more.

This increase in respect and humanizing of other human beings should start with our so-called leaders, However, as we have pointed out many times in this blog, these so-called leaders are a big cause of the problem, not the solution. They have had a busy, and disgraceful past couple of years degrading and abusing the opinions, lives, rights, and very existence of the citizens they are supposed to be serving:
  • Democrat Speaker Of The House Nancy Pelosi called citizen opponents to Obama Care unpatriotic for simply having a difference of opinion with many politicians in Washington.
  • Democratic Congressmen Mike Doyle and Henry Waxman and Vice President Joe Biden slandered American citizens opposed to unfettered and destructive government spending and debt by calling them terrorists (those people that bomb and kill innocent civilians).
  • When ordinary Americans objected to the building of a Islamic mosque near the World Trade Center property because of the sad memories of 9-11, Democrat Nancy Pelosi said THEY should be investigated for simply having a passionate opinion on the mosque.
  • Democratic Congresswoman Maxine Walters said all Tea Party American citizens can go to hell simply for having a difference of opinion with her.
When you viciously and unfoundedly associate ordinary citizens with racism, call them terrorists, question their patriotism, when you wish they would go to hell, and then threaten to take them out/exterminate them, you have dehumanized them in the eyes of your political supporters, making it easy to imagine them actually going away permanently.

Maybe, this type of hate and venom and dehumanizing goes through the head of a young man when he decides to go off and actually follows the advice that those people “need to be taken out.” When your so-called leaders call for this type of behavior and language, it can’t be wrong, can it?

But our political class, and their direct supporters, also direct their hate and venomous words towards other politicians:
  • The campaign manager of Democrat’s Gerry Brown’s gubernatorial campaign called his Republican opponent, Meg Whitman, a whore.
  • White House czar Van Jones publicly called all Republicans a**h****s.
  • Democrat Alan Grayson called all Republicans knuckle dragging Neanderthals.
  • TV host Montel Williams publicly hoped that Republican Congresswoman Michele Bachman shcommit suicide by decapitating herself.
  • Ed Schultz, an on air commentator for the Democratic leaning MSNBC news channel, called Laura Ingraham of Fox News a slut.
  • HBO TV host Bill Maher, a major donor to Obama’s 2012 Presidential Super PAC (a $1 million donor), said on air that Republican Sarah Palin “would f*** Rick Perry if he was black.”
  • Bill Maher called Republican Sarah Palin a disgusting and derogatory name that I will not repeat here.
  • Playboy magazine’s online website offered a detailed analysis on why and how each of ten Republican women in politics should be hate raped.
  • Democratic Congressman Steve Cohen likened Republican critics of Obamacare to the Nazis and their propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels.
  • A rap artist gave a Minnesota concert that was billed as the “F*** Michelle Bachman” concert (spelling out the entire f-word), a Republican Congresswoman from Minnesota.
When you label others as sluts and whores and suggest they should be raped or be killed, either by themselves or a fiery bus explosion, you set another stage for dehumanization. If you political opponents are just sluts and whores, no big deal if they go away, right?

I maintain that this type of disgusting, hateful behavior is an influence in our society and not an influence for good. It infects the undertone of how we view others. It reduces the amount of respect we have for others, making it easier to abuse others, possibly violently.

It usually does not cause someone to go off and actually start killing others but it certainly cannot help. It also cuts short the ability to listen to each other and appreciate the diversity of opinion each brings to a potential solution of a problem.

If I have allowed the political class and their ardent supporters to frame you as a racist or a slut or a terrorist, I am unlikely to consider any good you can bring to my life or to a solution of a problem. If I think it is a good thing that you self decapitate or die in a bus explosion, you will probably not get my attention when it comes to working towards a better society.

As a result of this hateful divisiveness the political class has driven into our society, we despise others that have a different opinion from ours. Major issues, such a failing public schools, a lost war on drugs, skyrocketing national debt, high health care costs, illegal immigration, etc., never get resolved. The hate prevents us from listening to each other, from calibrating our view of the world with others’ views of the world.

And possibly in the case of Newtown, we go beyond not listening and we start shooting. Not because guns are legal but because we have allowed the political class to desensitize us to each other as human beings.

But it is not only politicians that spew the hate and venom, hate and venom that others take to heart, hate and venom that their children take and internalize. Consider just some recent examples that have appeared in the news:

- Consider the hateful speech and intentions of Professor Richard Parncutt of the University of Graz regarding other human beings that are global warming deniers, those daring to have a different opinion than his: “In this article I am going to suggest that the death penalty is an appropriate punishment for influential GW [global warming] deniers... They [global warming deniers] are already causing the deaths of hundreds of millions of future people. We could be speaking of billions, but I am making a conservative estimate… With high probability it will cause hundreds of millions of deaths. For this reason I propose that the death penalty is appropriate for influential GW deniers.”

Different opinion, therefore you should die. I wonder what he would do to people like me, given our opinions on global warming; should we die also or just suffer some horrible disease since we are not influential enough:

http://loathemygovernment.blogspot.com/2012/11/wishing-al-gore-would-shut-up-why-i-am.html

http://loathemygovernment.blogspot.com/2012/11/wishing-al-gore-would-shut-up-why-i-am_10.html

As an aside, in 2009, the CIA opened up a new division, The Center on Climate Change and National Security. The purpose of this group was to examine the impact of global warming from a national security perspective. A few months ago, with little fanfare, they disbanded the organization. Is the CIA also worthy of Professor Parncutt’s death penalty or was it just common sense that this global warming organization was not longer viable or needed?

- Pulitzer nominated newspaper columnist Donald Kaul recently wrote an article for the Des Moines Register where he called for the killing of gun owners and “dragging legislators who disagree with gun control behind pickup trucks until they get the message.” Don’t agree with my opinion? Thus, we should have more killing and more torture for those that dare to have a difference of opinion. How does this stop the cycle of hate that starts with the political class?

- Erik Loomis, PhD, assistant professor of history at the University of Rhode Island decided he needed to get into the hate and venom game also when he recently stated on Twitter that he wanted the death of National Rifle Association (NRA) CEO Wayne LaPierre, branding the gun rights group he heads as a terrorist organization:"[I] want Wayne LaPierre's head on a stick." A little hateful, a little violent?

- Karen Lewis, head of the Chicago Teachers’ Union recently had some violent rhetoric of her own to share: “Do not think for a minute that the wealthy are ever going to allow you to legislate their riches away from them. Please understand that. However, we are in a moment where the wealth disparity in this country is very reminiscent of the robber baron ages. The labor leaders of that time, though, were ready to kill. They were. They were just – off with their heads. They were seriously talking about that.”

And this person is associated with educating young minds and kids. Don’t like someone or are jealous of their wealth, that in all probability was garnered via honest hard work and sweat, than just off with their heads.

I maintain that you cannot have such hate and disrespect and venomous speech floating around and it not have a negative impact on how we treat each other, how it dehumanizes others. I am not saying the Newtown shooting was directly caused because of this poisonous environment but it certainly did not help. Was the shooter seated around his dinner table through the years when slurs and demeaning things were said about others, how others that were different from him were worthy of being “taken out.“

And it certainly does not allow us to sit down and go face-to-face with others to leverage everyone’s knowledge and skills to confront all of our problems from school shootings to high debt, high illiteracy levels, failing public education, a failing health care system etc.

But if we solved all of our problems, on what issues would our politicians run on? And that, my friends, is the root cause of most of our problems, from school shootings to the lack of a national energy problem, our shameless politicians need the hate and venom to frame and finance their continual reelection effort.

So tonight, when you are sitting around the table with your family, how about a little more hate control and a lot more respect for others in front of our kids. Again, it couldn’t hurt.

And tomorrow if you should come across someone who thinks other human beings need to be taken out, killed, dragged behind a truck or hate raped simply for having a difference of opinion, may I suggest you walk away? Engaging in such a discussion with these types of people just spreads and intensifies the hate and gets yourself muddy, as the old saying goes: “Never mud wrestle with a pig because you both get dirty and the pig likes it.”Walk away, stay clean, and let the hate spewer stew in his own mud. Help break the cycle of hate.

**************
Don't like the political views of someone? Sexually degrade them. Don't like the political views of someone? Suggest suicide or they be killed? Don't like the political views of someone? Brand them a racists simply for having a difference of opinion.

Is it any wonder why nothing ever gets done, no issue ever gets resolved. It is really tough to be in a compromising mood when those with differing views want you dead, view as a sexual organ, or equate you with the Ku Klux Klan.

At some point we need to stop the hate that starts in the Washington political class, say enough is enough, and start valuing diversity of views and opinions. If we don't, then kiss our freedom and human dignity good bye.

More hate tomorrow and the following days.
