February, 2021, Part 5, Political Class Insanity: Basic Screw Up In Pennsylvania State Government, Washington Insider Gets A Free Criminal Pass, and Nancy Pelosi Has Another Conflict of Interest Perception

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

To review past posts on this insanity and idiocy, just click on the first few posts in each month listed to the right of this page. After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) Kathy Boockvar was the Pennsylvania Secretary of State during the November Presidential elections and as a result had considerable responsibility to make sure the election was conducted in a non-corrupt manner. As readers of this blog know, Pennsylvania was one of the states that likely had a high degree of voter fraud and corruption take place, some of which she was directly responsible for. 

Days before the election, she proclaimed that Trump would not win the state, a totally unethical thing for her to say as one who had some degree of responsibility for conducting a fair and unbiased election. Also, on the government website she was responsible for, she directed people who had voting questions not to the state’s official voting website but to her political party’s website, again a totally unethical thing to do.

But I believe that karma always catches up with people that act corruptly or unethically and that seems to have happened to Ms. Boockvar:
  • She was recently forced to resign after her organization failed to carry out its state government duties regarding a proposed state constitutional amendment.
  • This amendment would have allowed victims of childhood sexual abuse to have more time to file a lawsuit against their alleged abusers.
  • This was not a trivial, easy thing to propose since state law requires that all proposed amendments to the state constitution have to be passed by two consecutive legislative sessions before they can be presented on the ballot for voter approval.
  • In addition, her organization is required by law to advertise any proposed amendment in newspapers before the ballot vote can take place.
  • That should have been done in 2020 after the amendment was approved in 2019 but she and her organization failed to do so.
  • Thus, by law, the proposed amendment is void and the whole process, two consecutive legislative sessions, will have to be repeated if the amendment is to be revived.
A basic function of her government position, put a few ads in newspapers, and she screwed it up. Makes you wonder what else she screwed up while in office including the election shenanigans that likely occurred and corrupted the state's election counts.

2) One of the problems in this country right now from a justice perspective is that those that are deeply ensconced in the potential class, both politicians and government bureaucrats, never have to face prison time or fines for breaking the law. If an ordinary citizen did what these government related folks do on a constant basis, they would be in jail so quickly. The hypocrisy of “do as I say, not as I do” is so prevalent today when it comes to actually breaking existing laws for government insiders.

This was recently illustrated again with a Washington insider:
  • Kevin Clinesmith is a former FBI lawyer who was involved in the bogus FBI investigation of Trump associates and Russian collusion.
  • I say former FBI lawyer because he was forced to resign his high paying government post when he confessed that he had altered email evidence in the Russian collusion probe.
  • The altered/corrupted email was then used to falsely get a FISA warrant to spy on American citizens associated with the Trump campaign.
  • He pleaded guilty to the evidence manipulation and resigned his FBI position.
  • Now imagine what type of jail time you would have gotten if you had altered evidence in a government investigation and used that altered and false information to trick a Federal court to illegally issue a search warrant.
  • I doubt that you would have been sentenced to 12 months probation and 400 hours of community service time, which is exactly what this Washington insider received.
  • Under current laws, he could have gone to jail for five years and been fined up to $250,000.
  • Instead, he got no jail time, no fine, no suspension of his legal license, nothing.
Different rules for “them” vs. “us.”

3) Nancy Pelosi is one of those Washington politicians that has gotten, very, very rich over time despite never having earned over $200,000 a year as a member of Congress. We previously discussed how she manipulated the legislative calendar so that she could make about $500,000 when Visa credit card floated its IPO. 

We more recently discussed how she made sure that her husband’s small real estate investment company received over a million dollars in taxpayer funds off of the first covid economic stimulus plan back in 2020. He received this money despite he and she being millionaires many, many times over who certainly did not need government assistance to feed themselves. 

At the same time we reported on how he made some very “lucky” stock purchases at the same time his wife was in the midst of getting intelligence reports early in the covid crisis on what might happen to the economy.

Well, it appears things have not changed much since those previous profitable ventures for the Pelosi family:
  • Apparently the Pelosis invested over $1 million in the electric car maker Tesla just a few weeks BEFORE Biden announced he was going to switch the entire fleet of Federal government owned vehicles to electric powered vehicles.
  • Obviously, Tesla would be a company that could see enormous upside in Biden’s actions.
  • The purchase was made when the stock price was $640.34 per share and was recently trading at about $838 per share, an over 30% gain in less than a month.
  • Executive Director, John Pudner, of TakeBack.org accused Pelosi of profiting off of insider information at the same time the country and its citizens are suffering through a pandemic: “It’s corrupt and unacceptable for members of Congress, particularly the speaker, to trade stocks in companies affected by their votes in Congress. Elected leaders from all political parties should live up to a standard of ethics that ordinary Americans see as vital to the country.”
As with Clinesmith, there are different rules for “them” vs. “us.” We do something like this and the SEC is at our front door investigating potential insider trading corruption and criminality. Martha Stewart did jail time for a similar action. Pelosi does it and her office explains that she did not do it, her husband did it, which is supposed to make it alright. Which raises an interesting point: if the Pelosi family had enough money to throw over $1 million at Tesla, did they really need to get that million dollars in covid economic stimulus funds from the American taxpayer?

The appearance of conflict of interest is just as bad as real conflict of interest. The corruption and greed know no end.

That will do it for today: Pelosi allegedly does legal insider trading, Clinesmith gets not even a slap on the wrist for altering government data and lying to a Federal court, and a Pennsylvania state politician fails at a very basic job responsibility.

February, 2021, Part 4, Political Class Insanity: Biden Tries To Corrupt The News Media Even More, Chinese Communists Take Taxpayer Wealth and Ocasio-Cortez Did Not Almost Die

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) We often have made the assertion and belief that for democracy to flourish in a country the journalism profession has to be aggressive, determined, independent, and in integrity. It is its job to keep politicians in line and honest in their actions and words.

Unfortunately, that has not been the situation in this country over the past number of years. The news industry and journalism profession today is basically an embarrassment to the tenets of good journalism listed above. Different media and news outlets are biased, shallow, and certainly not in integrity, usually picking sides relative to issues and politicians and do their best to “win” rather than be right and thorough.

So it is good to see these pseudo-journalists squirm when politicians and their minions try to make integrity even less prevalent in the reporting of the news:
  • Jen Psaki is Biden’s newest Press Secretary and despite being on the job less than two weeks she already has the less than stellar reputation of ducking questions from reporters during news briefings.
  • It is already a running joke in the press corps that when Psaki says “we will circle back to that question” it means she has no intention or ability of ever answering that question.
  • Besides this embarrassment she already has the reputation of not being a good press secretary as she basically stumbles through any press briefing.
  • But it gets better, or worse, depending on your perspective in that the administration now wants reporters to take the unprecedented step to submit their questions for her ahead of time for press briefings.
  • This breach of journalism ethics has not been received well from the very people who for the most part have not acted ethically for many years.
  • When Democrats piss off the left leaning Daily Beast, you know they have gone too far in biasing the news: “According to three sources with knowledge of the matter, as well as written communications reviewed by The Daily Beast, the new president’s communications staff have already on occasion probed reporters to see what questions they plan on asking new White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki when called upon during briefings.”
  • This action would obviously make the journalists look bad since it would appear they are cooperating with the administration and acting as their PR department and not independent journalists.
  • The reaction of a White House correspondent kinda sums it all up: “While it’s a relief to see briefings return, particularly with a commitment to factual information, the press can’t really do its job in the briefing room if the White House is picking and choosing the questions they want. That’s not really a free press at all.”
Again, it is fun to see them squirm when they think an outside agent is besmirching their professional especially when most of them have been besmirching the profession for years. The sad part though is our democracy is in danger when the press is not independent, focused, and unbiased, whether those ideas are violated by the journalists themselves or the politicians they are supposed to be keeping honest.

2) It is our opinion that it is the objective of China Communists to make that country the most powerful country in the world. Furthermore, it is our opinion that they will not stop at anything that helps attain that objective. Which means that spying in the U.S. via companies and universities is certainly on the table. 

Which brings us to the next topic of discussion today:
  • Lin Yang is a University of Florida professor and researcher.
  • He was recently indicted for falsely getting almost $2 million in grants from the Federal government’s National Institutes of Health (NIH) for hiding his financial ties to the Chinese Communist Party.
  • Specifically, he was indicted for six counts of wire fraud and four counts of making false statements to the Feds.
  • He got a $1.75 million grant from the NIH which required that he disclose if he was getting any research and financial support from foreign sources and if there were any financial conflicts of interest which included ownership or interest in a foreign company.
  • At the same time he established a related business in China and was accepted into a Chinese government program that encouraged members to hijack ideas, technology, and intellectual property from foreign entities such as universities.
  • He then proceeded to take American taxpayer money and lie to the NIH about his affiliation with a Chinese entity whose purpose is to steal technology.
  • Specifically: “The taxpayer dollars that funded Yang’s research were intended to benefit the health and well-being of U.S. citizens. But our indictment alleges that Yang engaged in acts of deliberate deception so that he could also further the research goals of the Chinese Communist government and advance his own business interests,” said U.S. Attorney Lawrence Keefe for the Northern District of Florida.
More money wasted by an inept Federal government and the politicians that oversee its operations.

3) We used to talk a lot about the ignorance, arrogance and idiotic statements that New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortex would spew out on a regular basis. She has shown her ignorance so many times such as when she proved she had no idea what the definition of the basic unemployment rate was even though she supposedly had a college business degree, while running for office she incorrectly said that the three branches of our government were the Presidency, the House of Representatives and the Senate, and when Amazon wanted to move a major facility into her Congressional district, a move that would have made her district one of the richest in the country, she talked so much trash that Amazon changed its plans.

As a result, what were once charming idiotic statements and positions became tiresome rants of ignorance, repeatedly false claims of racism and sexism when she did not get her way, and outright lies. Thus, we stopped talking about her and focused on more important stuff.

But we cannot pass up her latest and possibly most blatant lie. When the Capitol building was breached on January 6, there was violence and death, a horrible experience in our country’s history. Shortly thereafter, Ocasio-Cortez claimed that she was stuck in the middle of the violence inside the Capitol building and feared for her life.

Which would have been a terrible experience to live through...except for the fact she did not live through that specific experience. She was not even in the Capitol building, claiming she feared for her life. She was in a totally different government building and her life was nowhere near being in certain, immediate danger like she claimed. 

And yet for days she played the pity and sympathy card, claiming she almost died. It was not until others pointed out that they were with her, in a different building and quite a different distance from the violence that it became obvious she was nothing more than a blatant liar. Which reinforces the reality that nothing she says, like many other politicians, can be believed since lying for personal benefit is part of their DNA.

That will do it for today’s political class insanity: more lies from a Washington politician, more corruption from the government when it comes to protecting American taxpayer wealth, and more undercutting of the integrity of the nation’s press corp.

February, Part 3, Political Class Insanity: Experts Abandon Cuomo, The Government Loses 20 Million Vaccine Doses, And "Biden Lies" Is Trending

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) It should come as no surprise to readers of this blog that we have very little respect for the abilities or humanity of New York Governor, Andrew Cuomo. First, he forced unprepared nursing homes in the state to take in elderly covid patients and mingle them with healthy elderly nursing home patients that resulted in thousands of unnecessary deaths. 

He then under counted the number of fatalities that occurred in New York nursing homes to make himself look better than his performance. Finally, despite a ten month advanced planning window, he put no effective vaccine distribution plans in place for the covid vaccine and as a result, about 40% of the vaccines that were shipped to New York state had to be junked because they exceeded their expiration date. 

He then proceeded to blame everyone else but himself for his myriad of failures. Also, in the midst of the crisis, he spent time writing a book that praised himself for his leadership in the crisis rather than devote all of his energy to actually protecting state residents’ health.

Well, according to the National Review, even his trained health experts had problems with him:
  • According to an article by Mairead Mcardle, at least nine senior health officials with the New York Health Department have resigned because of his incompetence since the beginning of the pandemic.
  • These folks included the deputy commissioner of public health, Dr., Isaac Weisfuse, so these were not low ranking worker bees.
  • Other departures included the director of the bureau of communicable disease control, the medical director for epidemiology, and a state epidemiologist.
  • Much of the reason for the resignations was the conflict with the governor who insisted on using untested and untried ways of distributing the covid vaccine, i.e. using large hospital systems, vs. using already proven and in place existing vaccine distribution processes.
  • Given the failure to distribute the vaccine efficiently in the state, it is now obvious that Cuomo was wrong and the experts were right.
  • Dr. Weisfuse was pretty blunt about Cuomo’s failed plan: “The governor’s approach in the beginning seemed to go against the grain in terms of what the philosophy was about how to do this. It did seem to negate 15 to 20 years of work.”
  • And yet Cuomo was adamant that he was somehow right, publicly insisting that he did not trust the experts in the health department despite his failed approach.
About 43,000 people have died in New York after being infected with the coronavirus, the largest death toll of any state. New York has less than 6% of the U.S. population but almost 10% of the total national covid deaths. Thus, the death rate in the state is about 63% higher than what would be expected based on population, indicating a massively botched job of protecting the health of the citizens of the state.

It continues to amaze how many times an American politician can fail so dramatically, still keep their job, and still try to convince us they were great in performing their tasks.

2) Despite being questioned any number of times, the Biden administration spokespeople have refused to answer questions about how many vaccines are available. But according to a recent Politico report, we now may know why no one is talking:
  • According to Politico: “Biden’s team is still trying to locate upwards of 20 million vaccine doses that have been sent to states — a mystery that has hampered plans to speed up the national vaccination effort.”
  • How does one lose 20 million of anything?
  • Despite having ten months to put plans in place to track the vaccine doses as they were distributed, it appears that once the vaccine doses are shipped to the states, no one knows where they went, how many were distributed, how many were left, etc.
  • One Biden official is quoted as saying, “It’s a mess.”
So they are throwing out expired vaccines in New York and they have no idea where millions of vaccines are physically located now. The Biden guy is right, what a mess.

Note: pure conjecture, but it wouldn't surprise me, based on no information but knowing how corrupt government can be, that millions of those doses were somehow sidetracked to criminal elements that are reselling them somewhere in the world for a handsome profit. And by criminal elements that could include government employees or their connections. Again, simply a thought but one that should not be ruled out.

3) It is fun sometimes when politicians eat their own even if taxpayers and citizens get screwed in the process. During campaigning, Biden promised that if elected he would get $2,000 economic stimulus checks out to everyone in the country. In the meantime, Trump was able to get Congress to agree to $600 stimulus checks which have been distributed.

Well, Biden did the math and said he only now had to get out $1,400 stimulus checks out since Trump sent out $600 checks which reduced Biden’s $2,000 campaign promise down to $1,400. Which is when it gets interesting:
  • There is actually a Twitter hashtag out there called #Bidenlied regarding this issue.
  • This is the Biden statement that has many people up in anger and why they think he lied: “$600 is simply not enough when you have to choose between paying rent or putting food on the table. We need $2,000 stimulus checks.”
  • PodcastHost Rtan Knight had this reaction: “$2000 is not $1400. So @JoeBiden is either a liar or really bad at math. I am going with LIAR.”
  • Another social media comment: “#BidenLied and the whole government lied. Don’t say your given us $2000 checks when your really given us $1400 checks. That’s just cold, bruh.”
  • Another reaction: “#BidenLied By the time the stimulus package arrives it’ll be more like 600 bucks instead of the 2000 we were promised but don’t worry, Jill Biden is going to hand out cookies later.” 
  • Another: “Liberals are more enraged that #BidenLied is trending than they are that half a million Americans are dead, millions more are threatened w/ eviction, tens of millions have no access to vaccine now.” 
  • Knight came back with another comment: “Nobody should be surprised that @JoeBiden lied about $2000 checks. He lied the entire primary, but liberals were too busy chanting ‘Trump bad’ to even care that they were nominating a pathological liar. #BidenLied.” 
Love it when political types eat their own. But maybe the voters who claimed Trump was a pathological liar will eventually wake up and realize that Biden is also a pathological liar, something we have pointed out many times (e.g. he DID NOT get arrested with Nelson Mandela, he DID NOT go to a predominantly black college, etc.). Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

3) The thing that nobody in the political class seems to care about, whether it is $1,400 or $2,000, is where is this money coming from? This is not going to be funded out of current revenue streams, it is going to have to be financed by adding more debt to the Federal government’s national debt load which is eventually going to have to be paid by future taxpayers, our kids and our grandkids. It is like politicians think that wealth can just be printed up and distributed, no big deal. 

But, as the following post discussed a little while ago, the country is on track to experience hyperinflation and eventual financial collapse as American politicians pile on the debt without regard to basic and dire economic consequences:


That will do it for today’s political class insanity: Cuomo is still a failure and his experts know it, politicians and the government entities they rule over have no planning skills at all, and the coming financial collapse is being accelerated by something called “economic stimulus checks” which create money out of thin air.

February, 2021, Part 2, Political Class Insanity: Facebook Screws Free Speech In Vietnam, John Kerry's Climate Hypocrisy, and Biden's Failed Choice To Operate the Department of Energy

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) Far too often we talk about how politicians are masters at, “Do as I say, not as I do” behavior:
  • They want us to wear masks because of the pandemic but they do not wear theirs.
  • They want to take away our Second Amendment rights but increase their security forces to protect themselves.
  • They subject us to rules and laws but often exempt themselves from those same rules and laws. 
The latest such hypocrisy comes for a long time member of the American political class, John Kerry:

  • Biden has appointed Kerry as his so-called “climate czar.”
  • Which means he will be involved in our lives regarding the likely myth of manmade global warming and climate change.
  • As readers of this blog know, we have refuted and dispelled these two myths many, many times in this blog using real science from real scientists, not faux science from non-scientists like Kerry.
  • To review those past myth-busting posts just enter “I am a global warming doubter” in the search box above.
  • Kerry is sure to push the country to use less carbon based fuels which in turn will make our lives more expensive and more uncomfortable.
  • But while he is doing that to us he will likely continue flying around the world in his private jet that his family uses, throwing much more carbon into the air than if he had used a commercial airline for his travels.
  • According to the Daily Wire, “The Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) “registry shows a Gulfstream Aerospace jet owned by Flying Squirrel LLC, the name previously reported for Teresa Heinz-Kerry’s private charter jet company. The company’s listed address matches that of the Heinz Family Foundation,” Fox News reported. “According to FAA records, the jet’s registration certificate was issued in July of 2005 and expires in October of 2023.””
  • According to research by Honeywell Aerospace, private jets like Kerry’s “burn 40 times as much carbon per passenger as regular commercial flights.”
If Kerry really wanted to show us how much he believed in man made climate change, he would junk or at least sell his family’s private jet and fly commercial jets like the rest of America. That would make a strong statement that he really believed the guff he was feeding us. 

But he won't do it. Only ordinary citizens will have to bear the burden of any negative climate regulations that Biden puts forth since in this country, politicians are exempt from the rules that they impose on the rest of us. Kerry is surely going to continue to burn carbon at the 40 times the rate that his private jet does, inconvenience is only for the peons like us, not the political elite like him.

2) Let’s stay with the likely myth of manmade global warming and review what happened during the Obama years. He and his Democratic friends in Congress spend billions and billions of dollars, to the benefit of his financial and political backers, to try and jump start a green economy under the lie or false reality that mankind was going to burn up the earth with its use of carbon based fuels.

The end result is that the American taxpayer gave billions of dollars to companies like the following listed below and got NOTHING in return: Solyndra, A123, Spectra, Fisker and many, many other failures.

Remember those names? They were all operated or owned by Democratic operatives and financial donors, they all got taxpayer money for nothing, and produced the exact same thing, nothing. Adding insult to injury, Fisker was not even an American company.

All of which brings us to the person that Biden wants to run the Energy Department in his administration:
  • According to a recent USA Today article, former Michigan governor, Jennifer Granholm, is Biden’s choice to run the Energy Department.
  • According to the article, “A big part of her job will be to dole out taxpayer dollars to “green” companies and industries favored by the Biden administration — a strategy she deployed in Michigan, but with little to show for it.”
  • During her time as governor, she spent billions of Michigan taxpayer dollars on “politically favored companies” in a chance of creating green jobs to counteract global warming.
  • She did this while promising her state taxpayers that, “In five years, you’re going to be blown away.” 
  • Apparently the taxpayers were blown away years later but not in a good way. 
  • Her green government organization, the Michigan Economic Growth Authority, gave out billions of dollars in tax credits to a whopping 434 green projects.
  • But according to an analysis by the Mackinac Center, years later only 10 of those 434 projects yielded any positive results, a dismal success record of only 2.3%.
  • So much for being blown away in five years.
Some of her more notable failures included the following disasters:
  • A123 Systems was supposed to create hundreds if not thousands of jobs in Michigan making electric car batteries. The company received millions of state taxpayer dollars but ended up going bankrupt and created zero jobs in the state.
  • Another battery company, LG Chem, received $125 million and was supposed to make Michigan “the world capital for advanced batteries.” But the demand for the company batteries never materialized and it was documented that employees ended up getting paid to watch movies and play games in order to stay on the payroll so that the company could continue to draw Federal taxpayer dollars. The company eventually started making batteries but came nowhere close to being the world capital for advanced batteries. It produced no batteries while Granholm was governor.
  • She also directed taxpayer dollars to other battery companies and promised that the state would have “up to 40,000 great new (battery) jobs by 2020.” Well, we just got through 2020, and none of the battery companies who received state taxpayer dollars met their job projections with many going through bankruptcy. Rather than having 40,000 battery jobs, there are currently less than 2,000 state battery jobs.
  • Michigan gave Mascoma a $20 million grant to convert biomass into ethanol. The company also received $100 million of Federal taxpayer wealth. The company’s biomass factory was never built, no ethanol was ever produced, and the intellectual property of the company was sold off.
  • A closed Ford production property, Wixom, was supposed to become a $725 million renewable energy industrial park. Granholm boasted it would be “symbolic for Michigan in what we’re going to become.” That is not a good thing for Michigan since even though it got a $100 million tax credit in exchange for promising 4,000 new jobs, the whole concept was scrapped two years later.
  • Suniva got $250 million, promised 500 green jobs, produced no jobs or anything else of value.
  • United Solar Ovonics got both state and Federal government subsidies, pledged 1,00 jobs, produced no jobs and parts of the company were sold off in 2012.
  • Evergreen Solar got state money but went bankrupt.
  • GlobalWatt got $42 million in state taxpayer money but also went bankrupt.
  • The “RASCO Fiasco'' was probably the worst embarrassment of Granholm’s ill fated green job spending spree. She appeared at a press conference with Richard Short to promote the $9 million in tax credits she gave him to produce jobs in Flint, Michigan. But Short’s parole officer actually saw the press conference. You see, Short was a convicted embezzler with a long history of running financial scams. He lived in a borrowed trailer when Granholm gave him the tax credits. He eventually went back to prison. How do you not do at least a simple background check if you are the governor before making a fool of yourself and forking over $9 million in taxpayer wealth to a known embezzler?
Just a small fraction of the over 400 green energy projects that failed during her term in office. And yet Biden wants her to be the head of his energy Department and continue the failed strategies that Biden and Obama had during the Obama administration.

In what real world job can you be successful only 2.3% of the time in your job and get promoted? It pays to be an American politician where failure is not viewed as an impediment to advancing your career….even if you do waste billions of dollars of taxpayer wealth in the process.

The article summed this insanity best: “Now Jennifer Granholm is set to bring her record to the national stage. She’ll try to make good on Biden’s promise to “accelerat[e] cutting-edge technologies” in the “green” space. With her at the helm, you can expect the Biden administration to repeat Michigan’s corporate welfare failure, but on a much grander and costlier scale.”

3) A little political class insanity from around the world. Facebook has agreed to censor any material that shows up on its social media platform in Vietnam if that material is critical of the government or those that operate the government. Thus, Facebook has no problem abridging the freedom of speech rights of citizens in order to maintain its revenue and profit flow, at least in Vietnam. 

How long before it does the same thing elsewhere such as in this country? Given that it has already taken down Facebook groups and posts that are not consistent with Zuckerberg’s political leanings in this country, that may be happening already.

That will do it for today’s insanity: an ominous sign from Vietnam when it comes to free speech, another incompetent politician lands on her feet despite having a failed track record of performance and John Kerry’s hypocrisy lives on.
