The Disgusting and Despicable Sexual Perversion Behavior Of Politicians And Others Of Influence, Part 1

Readers of this blog know that we have never had a high opinion of most people in the American political class. We currently have a Congressman serving in Congress who once thought that the entire island of Guam could tip over. We have a Congresswoman who publicly said her home district of Houston sat 50 feet under sea level (it does not) and who thought the Constitution was 400 years old. We once had a Speaker of the House who once proclaimed that the Obama Care legislation had to be passed BEFORE we found out what was in it. We once had a President who appears to have been a sexual predator. We currently have a President who has made many derogatory comments about women.

But it seems that in the past few weeks the bad news about our leaders in both the political class and the press that covers it has exploded from a sexual harassment, sexual predator, and general sleaziness perspective. These are the people that shape our laws, report our news and impact our lives everyday but have the integrity and morals of a dead rock.

Unfortunately, we are going to review the current, sorry state of these people over the next few days, keeping the details short and not too graphic but discussing enough to likely repulse you and realize how important it is to get these people out of office, out of our lives, and implement term limits to reduce the arrogance and ignorance that pervades our political life today.

When reviewing the following instances of alleged transgressions, keep in mind that we still do live in America where you are innocent until proven guilty. Claims of sexual misconduct are not realities of sexual misconduct. However, the overall trend is not good when it comes to the integrity and morals of those in power in the government and in the press.

1)Judge Roy Moore – the good judge has received the nomination to run for the Senate by the Republican party in Alabama. Since securing the nomination he has been accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct including misconduct directed at a 14 year old girl. He has denied all of the charges and the stories of several of the accusers have started to fall apart. Some of the accusers, not all of the accusers.

2)Former Congressman Anthony Weiner – The former Congressman was recently sentenced to prison time for sexting with an underage girl, being found guilty of a serious criminal and disgusting offense. But while in office and while married to a pregnant wife, he was caught sexting with numerous women who were not his wife so sexting with a14 year girl is not a stretch.

3)Al Franken is currently a U.S. Senator from the state of Minnesota. He has come under attack from several women who claim that he groped them and grabbed them inappropriately over the years. He has admitted that some of the accusations are true and photos prove that many are true:

  • Radio show host Leeann Tweeden spoke out recently that while on a USO tour, prior to his Senate victory, Franken posed for a photo hovering over Ms. Tweeden while she slept and simulated him grabbing her breasts. Tweeden stated she was horrified when she saw the photo after the tour ended.
  • Tweeden also accused Franken forcibly kissing her and sticking his tongue into her mouth saying she “had to endure being with him for almost two weeks. There were little jabs, there were comments. I separated myself … as much as I could from him.”
  • Another woman recently accused Franken of grabbing her butt while they posed for a photo at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010.
  • But Franken’s perverted sense of being started before these instances, going back to his days as a comic where he joked about raping a child, the details of which I will not go into here.
  • In 1995, in a New Yorker magazine article, he joked about fantasizing about raping and then photographing Lesley Stahl, a TV news person: “And, ‘I give the pills to Lesley Stahl. Then, when Lesley’s passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her. Or, ‘that’s why you never see Lesley until February.’ Or, ‘when she passes out, I put her in various positions and take pictures of her.’”
  • But Franken’s despicable behavior is not confined to women when you consider what he said in 1976 in a magazine interview about a gay man who had been killed in Philadelphia: “I just don't like homosexuals. If you ask me, they're all homosexuals in the Pudding.” [Pudding is short for the Hasty Pudding Institute, a Harvard social club which produces theatricals.] Hey, I was glad when that Pudding homosexual got killed in Philadelphia.”
  • Photos have also emerged of Franken groping Arianna Huffington’s breasts and butt in a 2000 photo shoot.
This is the kind of person that voted on legislation that affects your freedoms, your pocketbooks, and your kids’ futures.

4)But Franken is not the only disgusting player in Congress. In recent Congressional hearings by the House Committee on Administration it was revealed that:
  • Congress had established a secret slush fund that paid out taxpayer dollars to settle sexual harassment complaints by members of Congress and their staffs.
  • The way the law was written that authorized such payments make it okay to not have to disclose to the public who was being accused of what and where those payments were going.
  • So far, over $17 million in hush money has been paid out by the taxpayers to settle over 260 cases of sexual harassment complaints against over 260 Congressional staffers and Congress people.
  • This secret law also made it difficult for a victim to settle harassment complaints since before they could file a complaint they were forced to attend a 30 day mediation seminar.
  • At least two current members of Congress used the hush money to settle complaints against them personally.

Again, much like Franken, these are the types of people that help write and enact our laws while acting totally inappropriately in the process. And then they have the gall to use our taxpayer money to escape the ramifications of their perverted and amoral behavior.

Term limits, the repeal of this slush money law, and the expulsion of these people from our lives cannot happen soon enough. More perversion and disgusting behavior to follow in the following days.
