May, 2022, Part 7, Political Class Insanity: The Border is a Dangerous Mess, Biden’s Approval Rating is a Mess, Potential Sexual Predator Coverup in LA and Biden Sends His Wife To A War Zone

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

To review past posts on this insanity and idiocy, just click on the first few posts in each month listed to the right of this page. After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1)Biden’s border and immigration policies are dangerous and a joke. There are a whole lot of bad things going on at our southern border that include record amounts of drug cartel drugs flooding into this country, a flood that will accelerate the already skyrocketing drug overdose epidemic in this country, human trafficking gangs, criminal gangs, potential terrorists, etc. This disaster will eventually cost Americans their lives and property losses,

How bad are things at the southern border:

  • According to Arizona Attorney General, Mark Brnovich: “Every time you think … we’ve hit rock bottom, something else happens.  There’s a record amount of people flooding into this country this year. Just last week, our office was involved in a record amount of fentanyl seized. Americans are dying. Our cities are more dangerous as a result of the failed Biden administration’s policies.”

  • In his opinion, the drug cartels have “have seized operational control” of the southern border.

  • He is probably not wrong since in a recent one week period, the state of Arizona intercepted 6 million fentanyl pills.

  • This is the amount they caught, imagine how many millions of other pills got into this country and into the bodies of drug addicted Americans.

  • In a recent month, over 200,000 illegal immigrants were caught coming into this country, or in other words, the equivalent of Richmond, Virginia got caught coming across the border in ONE month.

What a mess. Who is going to take care of all  these people? What will the impact be on drug overdose deaths in this country as millions and millions of fentanyl pills come over the insecure border? What will be the impact when the criminal gang members start preying on American citizens and their families?

A basic duty of any government entity is to protect the lives and property of its citizens. Given the above realities at the southern order, the Biden administration has failed miserably in that basic responsibility.

2)Given the horrible realities at the southern border and the likely downsides to American citizens, it should not come as a surprise that the Biden approval numbers are falling quickly and at a historical pace:

  • According to a recent Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Research poll, Biden’s approval rating is at only 39%.

  • This is the lowest reading of his Presidency.

  • Only 2 of 10 polled think that America is heading in the right direction or that the economy is good.

  • Both of these ratings are down from 3 in 10 that were polled in the previous month, i.e. the trend for Biden is not good.

  • The very sad number for Biden is that only 33% of Democrats polled think the country is headed in the right direction, down from 49% in the previous month.

  • Less than 10% of Republicans polled think the country is headed in the right direction under Biden.

  • Two out of three disapprove of how Biden is handling the economy and only 18% say that his policies have done more to help than hurt the economy, down from 25% from a few months ago.

  • Only 38% think Biden is doing a good job on immigration, not surprising when we look at the first discussion point above.

Inflation, leaky and dangerous orders, baby formula shortage, high gas prices, an ever increasing national debt, no solutions for Social Security and Medicare, crumbling infrastructure, poor education of our kids, the list of failures goes on and on.

And while there are a lot of people in Washington and Congress that share the blame for all of these problems, Biden is the President and his approach, or non-approach, to these issues has been wrong, non-existent, or just plain stupid, much like his entire Washington career.

3)Biden wants Los Angeles mayor, Eric Garcetti, to be his ambassador to India. Given the very sorry state of affairs that Los Angeles citizens find themselves in today, e.g. homeless problems, crime problems, poorly educating schools problem, etc., why Biden thinks Garcetti is worthy of such an important position leaves one to scratch their heads. But that is Biden’s choice.

Given the international implications of such an assignment, the Senate is doing its due diligence of Garcetti's background and they have come across a troubling situation that happened in LA under Garcetti’s watch:

  • According to the background research done by the Senate, Garcetti likely knew that one of his top advisors was involved in sexual misconduct and did nothing about it.

  • The research alleges that his advisor, Rick Jacobs, was widely known for his sexual misconduct.

  • Specifically: “By all accounts, Mr. Jacobs’ behavior was widely known and talked about. It was pervasive, widespread, and notorious — to the point that Mr. Jacobs sexually harassed someone in front of the Mayor for a picture that would be memorialized for all time,” the report, released by Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, said.

  • Furthermore: “We conclude that Mayor Garcetti likely knew or should have known that Rick Jacobs was sexually harassing multiple individuals and making racist comments towards others,” it added.

Condoning sexual misbehavior and racist comments, just the kind of upstanding politician you want representing  the country overseas.

4) In one of the strangest foreign affairs moves in the history of this country, Joe Biden did not go to war torn Ukraine to show his support for the Ukrainians and their brave, and succeeding, battle against the invading Russian army.

For centuries, American Presidents have made such excursions as part of their foreign policy, to show their support for allies and our troops. It is ingrained into the Presidential DNA. Trump visited the DMZ zone in Korea, Obama and Bush made surprise visits to  our troops in Afghanistan, etc.

But along comes Biden and rather than him going to war torn Ukraine, he sent his wife, Jill, to the battleground country while he stayed home. Yes, he sent his wife, who met with the Ukrainian First lady, Olena Zelenska. And while I give his wife credit for undertaking a potentially dangerous assignment, why in the world did he not go? There was no report that he was sick, there was no report or indication that he had prior, more important commitments, etc.

The likely reason, given his unstable and unpredictable behavior and ideas as a the result of his severe cognitive decline, is because his advisors did not want him to be in such a dangerous place and saying anything stupid, outside of the country. Instead, he placed his wife in danger to cover up his ineptness. A sad, sad state of affairs.

I cannot imagine what the mainstream press would have said if Trump had stayed home and instead sent his wife to such a dangerous place. But of course, the mainstream press said nothing about this Biden cowardly humiliation.

Enough insanity for today: the border is a dangerous mess, Biden’s approval rating is a deserved mess, potential sexual predator coverup in LA and Biden cowardly sends his wife to a war zone.
