Every month we devote posts to just general political class insanity that is running rampant through the country. The members of the American political class Far continue to show that they are incapable of efficiently operating any level of government in this country.
Even their best efforts are almost always ineffective at resolving any problem facing Americans. They spend a great amount of time not trying to improve the lives of their citizens but continually ensuring their reelection and enriching themselves, their families, and their friends in the process, all at taxpayer expense.
1)Many times we have pointed out how Biden has failed miserably when it comes to foreign affairs and diplomacy. From China/Taiwan to Niger to Afghanistan to the war between Ukraine and Russia. He has not met with or spoken to Putin to try and open peace negotiations and his Secretary of State has met with the Russian foreign minister only once in over two years of war. Failure, failure, failure.
And this failure may lead to some very dire circumstances according to a European leader:
Serbian President, Aleksandar Vucic had some very troubling observations on the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
He recently predicted that the conflict is escalating out of control which could lead to a global war.
He predicts that such a war would be worse than World War II.
Specifically: "I am afraid that there is little time left for the war in Ukraine to be stopped. I hope it's still possible, but I'm afraid it's actually not. I'm afraid that the train has already left the station, started moving, and no one will stop it. In my estimation, things will be much more complicated, much worse, and that it may happen that we will face an even greater tragedy than during the Second World War. I'd like to be wrong."
Vucic urged “someone” to do something “real” to stop the insanity of this war: "If this doesn't happen, I'm afraid we're headed for disaster."
I would not be surprised if his “someone” was Biden, I can think of no one else in the world who would have the leverage to finally get diplomatically active and do something to stop the war. But given Biden’s failed efforts at diplomacy, Vucic and the rest of us should be very, very scared.
2)We have often discussed the reality that politicians at all levels of government usually have no idea about how economics work and the implications of their ignorant economic laws and pronouncements. This type of ignorance has been demonstrated many times by the political class in California, most recently with their inane law to raise the minimum wage for fast food workers.
As with other places and times, when politicians raise the minimum wage in the context of their economic ignorance some people get higher wages but usually more people lose their jobs as businesses have to adjust their labor force to account for the higher wage expense. Thus, “the good news is you got a raise, the bad news is you no longer have a job.”
And that typical response is going on almost daily in California, with the latest fallout hitting a West Coast pizza chain:
Mod Pizza has closed down five of its California locations as a result of the state’s new minimum wage law.
The law raised the minimum wage from $16 to $20 and that raise was too much of an increase in labor costs.
One of the laid off employees seems to understand economics better than California politicians: “For the extra money, yeah. I mean, nobody is going to turn down a raise, but at the end of the day, with repercussions like this, was it worth it?”
And while other fast food establishments in the state are not all closing, many of them are being forced to raise their prices to offset the higher wage expenses which in turn has reduced demand which in turn has further reduced profitability of the fast food restaurants and a serious financial death spiral
is formed: higher wages drives higher prices which drives down demand which reduces revenue in the face of higher expense, hardly a long term success formula.
More stupidity and idiocy from politicians in this country, economic ignorance which usually does not end well.
3)There should be little doubt by now that Joe Biden is in the depths of dementia. He exhibits all of the symptoms of the disease including his inability to get facts correct or put together coherent discussions. Consider his latest evidence:
At a recent White House meeting with the prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Biden referred to the country as Czechoslovakia.
Czechoslovakia has not existed since 1992.
At that time it split into two separate countries, the Czech republic and Slovakia.
Another day, another Biden disconnect from reality.
4)Another ongoing failure of the Biden administration has been his disastrous illegal immigration failures. One of the many hardships his immigration policies have placed on Americans is in the area of illegal drug trafficking:
According to the “2024 National Drug Threat Assessment,” Mexican drug cartels have set up operations in every single state.
At the same time they have transformed their focus from plant based illegal drugs (marijuana) to far more deadly synthetic drugs (fentanyl).
The DEA identified the Sinaloa and Jalisco castles as the “most powerful and ruthless” cartels.
Cartels have even reached into Alaska and Hawaii.
The cartels get the basic drug producing materials from China and then convert them into synthetic drugs to be smuggled into our country.
The cartels then launder their money through illegal Chinese banks.
The DEA believes that the cartels’ switching to synthetic drugs has resulted in the “most dangerous and deadly drug crisis the United States has ever faced” with these synthetic drugs accounting for almost all of the fatal drug deaths in the country.
Another failure by the Biden administration to protect the lives of Americans, a very, very basic function of any government entity.
Enough insanity for today: Biden’s failed cartel prevention efforts, Biden is still confused, California economic policies continue to drive businesses out of business, taking jobs with them, and humanity hurtles towards World War III and Biden has not even tried to prevent it from occurring.
