May, 2024, Political Class Insanity, Part 7: Joe Biden Failure Edition

Every month we devote posts to just general political class insanity that is running rampant through the country. The members of the American political class Far continue to show that they are incapable of efficiently operating any level of government in this country.

Even their best efforts are almost always ineffective at resolving any problem facing Americans. They spend a great amount of time not trying to improve the lives of their citizens but continually ensuring their reelection and enriching themselves, their families, and their friends in the process, all at taxpayer expense.

1)We have often discussed the reality that Joe Biden is likely sliding deeper and deeper down into the pit into either senility or dementia. He is physically frail, has to be told exactly what to do even when it involves very mundane tasks, he cannot give coherent speeches and is delusional when it comes to events in  his life. This is NOT the type of person you want running the country or a person who theoretically has access to the nuclear weapon launch codes.

And recently he again demonstrated his continued failure to connect with reality. At a speech in Detroit, he proclaimed that in 2017, when he was Vice President, during the height of the covid  pandemic, President Obama sent him to Detroit to help fix the situation there. However, a few problems with this scenario that he laid out:

  • He was not Vice President in 2017.

  • Obama was not President in 2017.

  • Covid did not start until at least two years later.

Another set of lies or delusions, not sure what to believe why he lies like he does. Look, we feel sympathy for the man. I was the co-guardian of an elderly uncle who developed and eventually died from dementia. Biden should be getting the best medical care and as much rest as possible. He should not be leading the free world since he has no concept of what reality is.

The real culprits are not Biden, but his wife, his family, and his political handlers who should all be brought up on elder abuse charges for what they have put him through. The clip where he makes this delusional statement can  be found in the following link:

2)Biden has failed on so many issues it is very sad and dangerous for the country:

  • Illegal  immigration.

  • Economic and fiscal  management.

  • Foreign affairs and  diplomacy.

The specific failures within each  of these broad categories could go on for days.

And he recently suffered another foreign affairs failure:

  • For a long  time the U.S, has stationed about 1,500 troops in the African country of Niger.

  • The purpose of this deployment was theoretically to fight terrorism on the African continent.

  • This arrangement was viewed by most experts as critical in the fight against international terrorism.

  • Apparently, for years, Niger’s leaders and the U.S. enjoyed very favorable relations.

  • But things went south under Biden and Niger has decided it no longer wants U.S. troops on its soil.

  • To add insult to injury, the Niger leadership has allowed Russian troops to place its troops in the country with Russian and U.S. troops actually sharing the same military base until the U.S. can leave.

  • According to reporting by the Gateway Pundit, this breakdown in the relationship is caused by Molly Phee, Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs.

  • Phee was accused by the Nigerian Prime Minister of threatening the current Niger leaders  during negotiations to keep U.S. troops in the country,  that she was condescending and showed no respect to the Niger leadership.

  • As a result, the Russians will move in as the American  troops move out after U.S. taxpayers spent a whopping $100 million to build the base the Russians will be using.

Another day, another failure.  Biden’ diplomacy has now failed miserably across many continents: this Niger failure in  Africa, the Israeli/Hamas/Iran debacle in the Middle East, North Korea and China in Asia. Failure all around.

3)Speaking of Biden’s failures, Memorial Day celebrations will be more expensive again this year, not surprising given the inflationary economic policies of Biden:

  • The costs of a Memorial Day barbecue this year is 10% higher than last year’s Memorial Day celebration.

  • The average price of a barbecue this year is $30 vs. $27 last year.

  • Meat prices are up almost 15% and some condiments are up as much as 50%.

  • As another insult, the average cost of a gallon of gas this holiday weekend is $3.61, up $.05 from  last Memorial Day and up $1.22 a gallon since Biden took office.

Failures all around for the Biden  Presidency.

4)Iran is the worst purveyor of state terrorism in the world. They rule with a very heavy hand over their own residents and would love to destroy Israel, the United States, and other nations who oppose their terrorism activities.

In fact, one of their top leaders, and the most likely next leader of the country, was President Ebrahim Raisi, Raisi was nicknamed the “Butcher of Iran” for the thousands of Iranian citizens he sent to their deaths. He was also a leading player in attacking Israel.

Fortunately, he recently died when the helicopter he was traveling in crashed. Obviously, he was not a nice human being, given how many innocent people he sent to their deaths.  And yet, the Biden administration sent their official condolences to Iran on his death. Yes, the “Butcher of Iran” got official sympathy from the Biden administration.

This was obviously a stupid thing to do but something one would expect from the Biden administration, given their multitude of other diplomatic failures.

Members of Congress and others rightfully called out Biden for this disgrace:

  • Congressman Chuck Fleischmann: "It's shameful that President Biden's Administration would offer condolences for the death of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi – an evil tyrant who spent years repressing and butchering innocent people. Biden's foreign policy is to appease our enemies while abandoning our allies."

  • Congressman Pat Fallon: "Raisi was a murderous autocrat who brutally repressed the people of Iran. He was the architect of Iran's state sponsorship of terrorism and does not deserve NATO & the free world's condolences."

  • Hedge fund manager Bill Ackman: "This is crazy. What is going on? Did we send condolences to Germany when Hitler died?"

  • Jason Brodskym director of United Against Nuclear Iran:  "Today's statement by @StateDept offering 'official condolences' after #Iran's regime's president's death is a symptom of a larger problem. The Biden administration's Iran policy is adrift. Its attempt to keep the issue off the president's desk often results in a policy which lacks the necessary energy, creativity, and initiative. It is defined by an extreme and irrational risk-aversion. It tries to appease everyone at the same time – the regime included – and shoots itself in the foot time and again. The U.S. needs to lead with moral clarity. Today it did not do so."

Seems like Biden could not do  any worse even if he tried to do worse.

That will do it for today’s insanity, kind of a tribute to Biden’s utter failure as President across every dimension possible.
