It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.
1)It sometimes seems like the political class almost joyously welcomed the covid pandemic so that they could exercise their dictatorial powers to control Amercans’ lives, actions, and freedoms. With their over the top oppression with lockdowns, masking, social distancing, etc., they reveled in their ability to control other people's lives.
And now it appears that their joy filled no purpose, according to experts, and their actions either did nothing to mitigate the pandemic or actually made the pandemics’ effects worse. Consider a recent research paper coming from Johns Hopkins University researchers:
Their research basically concluded that lockdown orders from politicians in the U.S. and Europe had little or no effect in reducing the covid fatality rate.
Best case, absolutely best case, one could conclude that lockdowns reduced covid fatalities by a miniscule .2%.
This conclusion came from the researchers analyzing dozens of scientific studies of lockdowns.
Specifically: "We find no evidence that lockdowns, school closures, border closures and limiting gatherings have had a noticeable effect on COVID-19 mortality."
The cost of ineffective lockdowns helped lead to “reducing economic activity, raising unemployment, reducing schooling, causing political unrest, contributing to domestic violence and undermining liberal democracy."
The researchers agreed: "Such a standard benefit-cost calculation leads to a strong conclusion: Lockdowns should be rejected out of hand as a pandemic policy instrument."
This analysis obviously explodes an early claim by Imperial College in London who predicted that lockdowns could reduce fatalities by up to 98%.
The only somewhat effective aspect of any lockdown is that only closing bars may have helped reduce fatalities.
The research explained why lockdowns may have been so stupid: "Lockdowns have limited peoples’ access to safe (outdoor) places such as beaches, parks and zoos, or included outdoor mask mandates or strict outdoor gathering restrictions, pushing people to meet at less safe (indoor) places. Indeed, we do find some evidence that limiting gatherings was counterproductive and increased COVID-19 mortality."
Thus, if you believe this Johns Hopkins research, keeping in mind that this is an outstanding university from a research perspective, then the extreme lockdowns that Governors Cuomo (New York), Murphy (New Jersey) and Whitmer (Michigan) may have actually killed more people than other states where the lockdowns were done using more common sense and not ego-based-control.
Another example where politicians selectively used science to support their biased views and actions. Be it climate control, pandemic control, or people control, you can usually rely on politicians to abuse science for their own good.
2) No group of people in the country are better at the old phrase, “do as I say, not as do.” This was especially evident during the covid lockdowns that politicians put in place when the virus started spreading across the country:
The mayor of Chicago shut down all businesses in her city but then insisted that only her hair salon open up just to serve her despite her edict that no other hair salon open.
The Mayor of Beaumont, Texas, did the same thing but not for getting her hair done but for getting her nails done.
The governor of California made sure to attend a large dinner at a fancy restaurant without a mask, something that he forbade his residents to do.
These are just three examples of the American political class hypocrisy. And Georgia politician, Stacey Abrams, is apparently no different:
She recently visited an Atlanta elementary school for a photo op, a useless activity that most politicians do.
The outrage started when she posed for a picture with a bunch of kids that she required to wear a covid mask but she did not wear one herself.
The principal of the school, Holly Brookins, excitedly tweeted out the picture to the world.
Abrams then retweeted the picture, totally oblivious to the hypocrisy.
When the world reacted to her photo, not only did Abrams delete her tweet but the principal deleted her whole account, certainly two observations that came a little too late.
How stupid and selfsh of her but typical of many, many Amercan politicians. Clay Travis, co-host of the nationally syndicated Clay & Buck Show observed: “The number of left wing politicians who post photos posing without masks while all the kids around them are wearing masks is stunning. Here is Stacey Abrams doing it. This is child abuse. It’s also worth noting that as an obese adult Abrams is the person in this photo who is statistically at risk from covid the most BY FAR. Not the kids. At all.”
Do as I say, not as I do, it gets so tiring and disgusting.
3) While a great many politicians are crooked and in politics just for their self enrichment, they rarely are penalized or jailed for their actions. However, once in a while, it is refreshing to see a politician actually get arrested and possibly found guilty for their illegal self enrichment activities:
On January 14, 2022, Baltimore State Attorney Marilyn Mosby was indicted on four Federal criminal charges.
Those charges included perjury by falsely claiming a covid hardship on an attempt to withdraw $90,000 from a retirement account without penalty.
According to a local Baltimore news story: “The feds charged Mosby with two counts of perjury and two counts of making false statements on mortgage loan applications. Those two mortgages were for a home in Kissimmee, Fla., and a condo in Long Boat Key, Fla.
She apparently failed to disclose a $45,022 Federal tax lien on those applications
She claimed that the Kissimmee property was going to be used as a private residence but she then turned around and gave control of the property to a property management company.
She lied about the retirement accounts and a covid hardship even though she was pulling down almost $250,000 a year in a job which she never lost during the pandemic.
As always, she is innocent until proven guilty. But it is a small sign that there may be, just may be, some sense of dignity and integrity when it comes to enforcing the laws of the land for everyone, not just those outside of the political class. Now maybe we can go after those in Washington that are self enriching themselves by millions and not by thousands like Mosby is alleged to have done.
That will do it for today: more do as I say, not as I do, government lockdowns for covid were failures, and possible corruption from a politician in Baltimore. Hypocrisy, failure, and corruption, yeah, sounds about right for American politicians.
