It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.
1) It has always been our opinion that the only thing that Washington politicians do well is self enrichment. They never resolve any issue facing Americans but spend and waste a lot of money on projects and programs that always fail. But when it comes to making themselves rich, they somehow manage to do that quite well.
Consider an astute observation by Navy Seal Robert O’Neill:
Washington lawmakers traded $355 million in stocks in 2021.
Inflation is high, the southern border is awash in illegal drugs, Russia has invaded the Ukraine and these folks are trading hundreds of millions of dollars worth of stock.
Apparently, their return on their investments in 2021 was higher than the S&P 500 return on investment.
Thus, they accomplish nothing of value for Americans but somehow beat the market returns. Do we think that maybe they used their high level government positions to use insider information they come across in their jobs running the country? Another case of “do as we say, not as we do. We trade on insider information and we go to jail. Washington politicians trade insider information, they get rich.
2) We have reported far too many times that violent crimes are skyrocketing in many cities across the country. Murder rates are up, rapes are up, carjackings are up, etc. Drug cartels, criminal gangs, lax bail rules, timid district attorneys, etc. are probably all major factors in the ever increasing crime rates.
But according to Congresswoman, Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, none of these factors are raising the high crime rates. She has it all figured out. According to her, this is driving the increasing crime rate: “We don’t want to say some of the things that are obvious, like, ‘Gee, the child tax credit just ran out, on Dec. 31, and now people are stealing baby formula.’ We don’t want to have that discussion.”
Thank goodness she straightened us out on the root cause of the rising crime in the country. It has nothing to do with drug gang violence, retail gangs rampaging through retail stores, etc. It is the child tax credit issue that is driving up murders, rapes, carjackngs, etc. Thank goodness she is on the case!
Also, recall, the good Congresswoman has been one of the strongest advocates of defunding police departments across the country. As we have proven so many times, those cities that actually defunded their police departments have had, by far, higher rising crime rates. But according to her it is the child tax crest that is causing the higher crime rates, not the decimated police forces.
I continue to wonder what color the sky is in her world since it is definitely not our world where she resides.
3) Many, many Democrats, besides Ocasio-Cortez, have publicly and loudly advocated to defund police departments across the country, including Congress members Cori Bush and Ilhan Omar, along with many local and state Democratic politicians. Those government entities that did defund their police departments caused the crime rates in their areas to skyrocket, the numbers make that absolutely clear.
And yet, there is one major Democratic politician that does not see it that way: “Well, with all the respect in the world for Cori Bush, that is not the position of the Democratic Party,” Pelosi said during an appearance on ABC’s This Week. “Community safety, to protect and defend in every way, is our oath of office. And I have sympathy — I — we’re all concerned about mistreatment of people.” Her comments came in response to Bush’s statement last week that “‘defund the police’ is not the problem.”
I would ask Pelosi the same question I posed above: what color is the sky in your world? For over a year Democrats across the country rode the empty motto, “defund the police.” As a result of their defund the police actions, crime and violence have rained down on Americans. Now, with the midterm elections coming up later this year, Pelosi thinks that she can disavow the violence that Democrats caused and play the law and order card: “Community safety, to protect and defend in every way, is our oath of office.”
She raises that age old questiion: is she that stupid to think we do not know that the Democrat’s infatuation with the defund the the police movement caused unnecessary violence and deaths or is she that out of touch that she actually believes the nonsense she says. We will never know.
4) This is turning into the “Defund The Police” episode. Idiotic politicians in Seattle have been pathetic as it relates to law and order in their city. First, they allowed a central part of the city to be taken over by anarchists a couple of years ago. Then they went along with the defund the police movement which resulted in massive increases in crime, endangering the lives and property of law abiding citizens.
And they continue to pay for their stupidity:
City politicians have finally realized that their transit and subway system has been turned into cesspools of drugs, overdoses, and violent crime.
Things have gotten so bad that they finally realized that tourists to their city have begun avoiding the dangers of visiting.
City transit employees reported 398 security incidents involving drugs in 2021, up from 73 incidents in 2020 and only 44 in 2019.
Thus, the drug problem has increased about nine fold in just two years.
According to the reports, police officers have been punched, spat on, and threatened with bodily harm in trying to deal with the growing drug addict problem in the transit system.
City politicians have realized their mistake in defunding the police and will launch a new “Safety, Security, and Fare Enforcement Initiative.”
But it is not just the transit system that has seen an increase in crime and violence after the police department in the city lost funding.
Shootings are up 46% in the past year and there was a recent massive gun fight in the center of the city with over 40 shots being fired.
So it is the same old song: politicians get richer while spouting bad ideas that are getting citizens killed via the stupid and fatal defund the police movement.
