November, 2021, Part 4, Political Class Insanity: More Welfare Fraud, More Climate Change Idiocy and Silliness, Ignoring Needy Americans, and More

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc.

To review past posts on this insanity and idiocy, just click on the first few posts in each month listed to the right of this page. After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

1) Far too many times over the years we have shown that man made global warming is mostly a myth. We presented overwhelming scientific evidence and reality that proved over and over that the dire forecasts of global warming advocates never came about.

We then cut over to show how the rebranded version of global warming, climate change, was also a myth, again, by presenting scientific evidence and reality to prove the doomsday forecasters wrong. The North Pole has not melted like Al Gore predicted. A new Northwest passage lane north of Canada did not materialize. Polar bears did not go extinct, in fact they have been thriving, because of melting ice caps.

Some of the most ridiculous global warming/climate change predictions have come from the American political class, people with absolutely no scientific background or experience and many time,s lower than average intelligence when it comes to understanding science and data. The latest ridiculous forecast from a politician just hit the streets and it is a doozy:

• Oregon Congressman Earl Blumenauer recently claimed that his home Congressional district will experience 180 degree temperatures this summer.
• He was speaking at a recent UN climate conference when he made this wild prediction: “We are in a race against time. It took on new urgency for me this year with the horrific events. There was one day this summer in Portland, where temperatures in the heart of my district hit 180 degrees. People died.”
• First of all, the Congressman’s district did not hit 180 degrees, the 180 degree measurement came from a temperature reading that Portland State University Professor Vivek Shandas took of a Portland sidewalk in a particularly hot neighborhood on a particularly hot day, details the Congressman apparently did not think necessary to validate his point.
• It was only after the conference that he admitted it was a sidewalk temperature and not the air temperature he was referring to.
• The hottest, official temperature reading ever recorded on earth was 134 degrees in Death Valley in 1913, almost a century before “global warming” started.

Another political global warming/climate change assertion and claim debunked. Not sure what is worse: the use of data that the politician does not understand or the deliberate lying about data to prove a point that has no basis in reality. I bet anyone that Portland does not see a 180 degree day this summer as the Congressman claimed, any takers

2) The Federal government has a national debt of about $30 trillion dollars. It has unfunded future liabilities of over $80 trillion. It basically has never operated any government program or bureaucracy efficiently, effectively and crime free, a reality that has contributed to the sky high national debt without resolving any societal problems once and for all.

Consider the following criminal activity that robs the American taxpayer and contributes to high taxes and the national debt:

• Sabrini Strothers is from Pittsburgh and was recently put in jail on charges she collected welfare benefits for three of her children that don't exist.
• She reportedly collected about $130,000 in welfare payments since 2008 when she claimed she had given birth to triplets, who she actually named, Thomas, Tomalyia and Tyreik.
• She used Social Security numbers from people born in 1887, 1945, and 1960 to justify the fraud.
• She was eventually caught when a cousin tipped off authorities.
• According to news reports, she not only lied about having the three kids, she also lied about her income status, her address, and her employment.

The good news: she got caught defrauding the taxpayers who actually work hard to pay the taxes that she stole. The problem is how many others are getting away with the same type of massive fraud, fraud that American politicians and government agencies have failed so miserably to eliminate.

3) We have reviewed the following numbers way to too many times:

• At any one time, there are about 500,000 to 600,000 homeless Americans in this country.
• Every day, millions and millions of Americans are food challenged to feed themselves and their families.
• Over 90,000 Americans died from drug addiction last year, a number that will no doubt go higher this year.

And yet the following is what Washington politicians consider more important than sheltering the homeless, feeding the hungry and treating the drug addicted citizens in this country:

• The Federal government via the State Department has given the UN Population Fund $5 million to aid women around the world to have an abortion.
• The money was to be spent on abortion inducing drugs, contraceptives, and abortion performing devices.
• According to the State Department: “Deputy Secretary Wendy R. Sherman met with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Executive Director Dr. Natalia Kanem today in Washington. Deputy Secretary Sherman and Dr. Kanem discussed how empowering women and girls, including by promoting sexual and reproductive health and rights, advances human rights, gender equality, and global health. Deputy Secretary Sherman announced an inaugural U.S. contribution of $5 million to UNFPA Supplies, which will help ensure that modern contraceptives and lifesaving maternal health medicines reach women and adolescent girls who need access to family planning and safe delivery in countries affected by humanitarian emergencies.”

There was no mention by the State Department if the money could have been better spent providing about 1.7 million meals to America’s homeless population, treating thousands of drug addicted Americans, or getting a roof of a homeless American living on the streets.

4) California and Florida have a lot in common:

• They are both coastal states with a lot of outdoor activity opportunities.
• They are generally warm climate states.
• They have large populations.
• They both host millions of tourists a year.

And while they do have a lot in common, they diverge substantially on two fronts:

• California locked down the state residents and businesses in a draconian way to combat the covid virus while Florida took a much more freedom and personal choice approach.
• The California covid rate is now substantially higher than Florida’s rate.

Yes, the far more dictatorial and restrictive approach of California is now resulting in far worse disease results than the more freedom oriented Florida approach. According to the CDC, California covid infection rate is twice the rate of Florida’s despite still having massive mask wearing and other restrictions in place and having a higher vaccination rate. Florida actually has the lowest rate in the country while California’s rate is spiking.

Things are so bad in California that the CDC recently raised the state’s covid tracking designation from orange to red, the worst rating possible. Other states that followed California’s lead with tighter restrictions and freedom muting dictates, e.g. New York, are also seeing increases in covid infections while Florida and other states that approached covid with a less forceful response are seeing declines.

Correlation is not causation but it does appear that something is happening when we see the most restrictive states having much higher infection rates than less restrictive states. Keep this reality in mind as Biden tries to put his Orwellian vaccine mandate in place around the country, destroying the economy in the process for no good reason or results, if California and New York are any indication of what happens if freedom of choice and common sense is destroyed and replaced with dictatorship-like government actions.

Enough insanity for today: freedom wins out in the covid battle, the State Department could care less about struggling Americans, more welfare fraud and more political class climate change silliness and idiocy.

The Failing Biden Presidency - Part 5

This is the fifth in a series of posts that document the idiocy and total failure of the Biden Presidency so far. After being in the Oval Office for a few months, the world is in much worse shape both domestically and internationally due to the failed and idiotic leadership and actions of Joe Biden. His approval ratings are sinking faster than the increase in violence and price inflation that he has caused to happen. Today’s discussion does not provide any hope that things will improve under his leadership anytime soon.

1) We have already talked about the many, many failures of the Biden administration, just a few months into its term. Just type "The Failing Biden Presidency" in the search box above and those previous posts documenting Biden failures will put up.

The Read/Act website recently ran an article where they listed out SOME of his failures, a few of which we had already discussed but this list provides a good, quick review of his failures:

1. In just a matter of a few months, Biden has managed to create a humanitarian, drug cartel, human trafficking, drug addction, and national security disaster at the border. The 180,034 illegal border crossings in the month of May hit a record as the third-highest in the 97-year history of the Border Patrol.
2. Just days into office, Biden killed off the Keystone XL Pipeline, immediately killing off 12,000 high paying American jobs, an action that will have absolutely no effect on the climate. In addition, he made the country rejoin the bogus and flawed Paris Climate Agreement that will cost the American taxpayer trillions of dollars and destroy anywhere from an estimated 400,000 to 2.7 million jobs while requiring China and India to do nothing to curb their carbon emissions.
3. His proposed tax hikes will affect every American, regardless of income level, making living costs rise and good paying jobs become scarcer.
4. His bogus infrastructure plan, that will cost Americans about $2 TRILLION, dedicates only 7% of that amount to actually fixing roads, bridges and the like, with the remaining 93% going to pet projects of politicians that will, as always, be ineffective, inefficient, and never attain their goals.
5. He chose to support teachers' union vs. the education of American kids by siding with the teachers’ union to keep schools shut down but still pay teachers while kids went uneducated or undereducated during the pandemic.
6. Biden killed the Mexico City policy which now forces American taxpayers to fund abortions overseas. Rather than take care of the homeless and underfed kids in this country, he is sending taxpayer money that could have been used for that purpose to abort babies halfway around the world.
7. Biden showed no leadership or diplomacy during the recent violent Hamas and Israeli fighting, sitting mute in the corner as people were getting killed on a daily basis.
8. Recent cost of living statistics show that prices are rising quicker than ever over the past 13 years with the price of gas, lumber, real estate, and other commodities rising even quicker and Biden having no plan to get the rising costs under control.
9. Gas prices are over 50% higher than they were six months ago, just prior to Biden taking office.

On January, 19, 2021, gas prices were about $1.00 a gallon cheaper, housing prices were not shooting through the proverbial roof, the Middle East was calm, the country was vibrantly energy independent, and the southern border was calm and secure. Joe Biden took office on January 20, 2021 and this is the chaos he has caused since then with his clueless and scatterbrained leadership.

2) We have previously made the case that people are dying because of Biden’s incompetence. By encouraging people to come across our southern border like he has, people are dying trying to make that trip across some very brutal terrain, dodging drug smugglers, human smugglers,and criminal gangs in the process. The Hamas/Israeli fighting has killed hundreds. Iran’s terrorist activities have increased since Biden took over since they know he will do nothing to stop them, activities that will and have killed many people. The open border has resulted in a tsunami of illegal drugs coming into the country that will addict and eventually kill thousands of Americans. Joe Biden’s policies are not just inept, they are fatal.

Which is in line with the following harrowing and bewildering action his administration has taken:

• Trump enacted a discount program when he was in office that allowed Americans with diabetes and low income levels to get the vital insulin they need to live at a discounted price.
• Trump’s actions were aimed at requiring 340 community health centers to discount drug prices for low income patients, specifically insulin and epinephrine.
• For whatever sick reason, Biden has decided to terminate that program which will send the price of insulin and epinephrine substantially higher.
• The National Association of Health Care Centers has said Biden’s actions would “adversely impact Community Health Centers” and make it harder for low-income patients to afford the medications.

When asked the reason for eliminating the discount program by Fox News, the administration did not respond with an answer. The obvious conclusion is that the drug companies got to Biden and got their way, no discounts on the drugs they produce, but that is pure speculation. But I can't think of any other reason for doing away with a vital, simple and apparently life saving program for Americans in need.

3) Biden recently attended the G7 economic summit with other European leaders. Unfortunately, he made a fool of himself in two new ways, this time on the global stage. First off, when asked about Russia and what to do about their activity in Syria’s civil war, he rambled on and actually referred to Syria as Libya three times. Libya is not Syria, they are over 1,300 miles apart from each other and have nothing to do with each other. And yet, Biden mixed them up three times in a very few set of sentences.

Second, consider the rambling incoherent speech that Biden gave, embarrassing himself and the country with this nonsensical talk: “There is a lot going on where we can work together with Russia. For example, in Libya, we should be opening up the passes to be able to go through and provide — food assistance — an economic, I mean — vital assistance to a population that is in real trouble. I think I’m gonna very hard — by the way there’s places where — I should not be starting off by negotiating in public here, but let me say it this way — Russia has engaged in activities which we believe are contrary to international norms. They have also bitten off some real problems they’re gonna have trouble chewing on. For example, the rebuilding of Syria, of Libya — you know, this is — they’re there and as long as they’re there without the ability to bring about some order in the region, you can’t do that very well without providing or the basic economic needs of people, so I am hopeful that we can find accommodation where we can save the lives of people in, for example, in Libya consistent with the interests of — may be far different reasons — but for the same reasons.”

Totally incoherent, totally nonsense, The last sentence rambles on for over 80 words and makes no sense. Mix in the fact that he says Libya three times when he means Syria just makes it that much more embarrassing.

Look, we take no pleasure in pointing out his mistakes. It is what it is, he needs medical help and does not need the pressure of being the leader of the free world. He is not up to the task which is no fault of his own.

But people are dying because his family, his wife, and his political handlers put him in this untenable position. The country is suffering economically and from a national security perspective because of his declining mental state. The U.S. looks weak and foolish on the international stage which will have long term, negative ramifications for us all.

It was and is elder abuse by all in his circle of family, friends, and peers and we are all suffering because of their greed, their ego and their callousness.

September, 2019, Part 3,Political Class Insanity: American Taxpayers Funding Abortions Worldwide, Abandoning Decaying American Cities, and Wasteful DC Spending Abounds

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) Let’s review a few American realities of today:

• Just in Los Angeles and San Francisco there are about 90,000 homeless Americans roaming the streets.
• Across the country there are over half a million homeless Americans.
• About 70,000 American die from drug overdoses every year.
• About 12 million American kids live in a “food insecure home,” i.e. there is no certainty where their next meal is coming from.

Given the dire straits of these American citizens, one would hope that the politicians in this country would be doing everything possible, using all of their resources, to help these folks in this country who are in need.

But of course your hope would be wasted on these people, since according to a September 3, 2019 Newsmax article by Brian Freeman:

• Seven Democratic Presidential candidates have come out in favor of changing current Federal law and using American taxpayer money to fund abortions around the world.
• The so-called Helms amendment form 1973 current says that "no foreign assistance funds may be used to pay for the performance of abortion as a method of family planning or to motivate or coerce any person to practice abortions."
• Thus, for these seven candidates to get their wish, the current laws would have to be changed at the Federal level.
• These fools are out of step with the vast majority of Americans since according to a Marist from earlier this year, a whopping 75% of Americans oppose funding abortions around the world with U.S. taxpayer money.

So crazy, these folks want to be President but do not read the pulse of America on this issue, just plain stupidity. Second, if you asked every American the top fifty issues on their mind and in their worries. Do we even think that funding abortions around the world cracks the top ten issues, the top 30, the top 50? I doubt it.

And worse of all, wouldn’t the millions and millions of dollars being sent overseas to fund abortions be better spent sheltering, feeding and treating Americans in need? Insanity.

2) We have often talked about how badly some major cities are being run in this country,which, by the way are all run by Democrats today and have been run by Democrats for decades. Seattle, Portland, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Detroit, San Francisco, etc. are overrun with drug addicts, homeless folks, violent crime, and general filth.

Los Angeles, for example, has almost 60,000 homeless Americans wandering the streets. This has resulted in a public health crisis since the garbage in the streets and raw human sewage has led to a boom in the rat population and the fear that Medieval diseases such as typhus and the bubonic plague might reappear in current day American streets. 

In San Francisco, it is not against the law to defecate, urinate, or shoot up drugs in public places. In fact, the city government has a full time staff of five employees whose sole job is to go around the city streets to pick up human excrement.

Thus, we should not be surprised when Yahoo reports: “Scores of people are leaving the New York City area behind every day. New York leads all U.S. metro areas as the largest net loser with 277 people moving every day — more than double the exodus of 132 just one year ago. Los Angeles and Chicago were next with triple digit daily losses of 201 and 161 residents, respectively.”

Thus, at this rate, NYC is losing 100,000 people in net population every year. LA is losing over 70,000 a year. And the trend is not good. Maybe if Democrats cared a little bit more about American cities and not abortions around the world these once great American cities would not be the cesspools they are today.

3) We are going to finish up today’s political insanity with the beginning of a multi part discussion of plain old government waste. Senator Rand Paul recently issued the annual government “Waste Report” and the wasteful spending of DC politicians continues unabated. As you read how politicians are wasting your tax dollars keep in mind the suffering of the millions of Americans we pointed out above and imagine how much better suffering Americans’ lives would be if the Federal government was not wasting money on some of the following idiocies:

• Just on the government Paul looked at and analyzed, the Federal government easily wasted $50 billion on stupidity.
• One of the reasons why we have a nation debt load at $22.5 TRILLION is because politicians in DC over the decades have spent on money idiotic and unneeded projects and programs.
• This $22.5 TRILLION comes out to about $180,000 for every taxpayer, i.e. every taxpayer would have to pay $180,000 EACH to eliminate this debt.
• And 2019 will be no better since this year’s budget deficit is expected to be about $1 TRILLION which means the debt in a single year grew almost 5% while the overall economy is growing at maybe a little more than half of that.
• Example of wasteful spending number 1 - the State Department is spending almost $2 million to “to strengthen democratic institutions and processes in Tunisia by increasing trust between political parties and citizens.” First of all I doubt $2million is going to make much of a difference and second of all, why are we doing this? There is very little trust between our own political parties and citizens in this country and the government is off trying to fix this problem not here but thousands of miles away. Oh, by the way, we have already spent $1.4 billion in Tunisia already so what’s another $2 million or so?
• Example of wasteful spending number 2 - The General Services Administration (GSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have been working and have already spent about $2 billion to convert some of the abandoned St. Elizabeth's Hospital property in Washington, D.C. into a new headquarters for the DHS. This project has been going on since 2005 and is still not done. Which should not be a surprise since the buildings are over 160 years old and rather than build a new, modern, efficient building the problems with the old buildings renovations have been very costly. . since 2005. But, of course, problems tend to arise when you are working with a historical site built in 1855. After 14 years and billions of dollars these idiots decided to quit renovating many of these dilapidated buildings and go in another direction. But now the estimated completion date for the DHS headquarters is 2026 and even if they hit that target the project would have taken 21 years to complete.
• Example of wasteful spending number 3 - Medicare paid out a whopping $582 billion in 2018 and probably at least $48 billion of that was bogus, either through inefficiencies or criminal fraud. But this should not be a surprise since Medicare has been designated a “High Risk Program” for the past 29 years but the DC political class has never fixed it.

Millions of hungry, homeless, and drug addicted Americans and these buffoons are sending billions of dollars to Tunisia and other countries around the world for no tangible purpose for America, mismanaging simple construction projects, and losing tens of billions of dollars a year from a program they know has been busted for three decades. Add in the funding of abortions around the world and doing nothing about our decaying cities and it is a good day, in a bad way, for political class insanity.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Insanity, Part 8: Ignorant on the Hyde Amendment, Greedy Despite a $174,000 Base Salary, And Giving Everyone a Free Home

Over the past year, New York City Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has established herself as a human gaffe machine. Her inability to do simple math, her outlandish ideas based on an alternative reality, her economic ignorance, and lack of common sense has resulted in an almost daily stream of idiocy, inane comments, and ridiculous ideas that have no basis in reality.

As a result, most of our recent political class insanity posts have almost always had an Ocasio-Cortez piece of insanity. Thus, we have decided to separately track her craziness and idiotic takes on economics, business, government, and whatever else on a regular basis under its own set of posts. She deserves to have a separate effort that captures all of the ridiculousness she espouses.

The original format we were going to use was to start with a set of her original inane ideas and just continue to build on that initial list as time goes by. But after just three summaries of her idiocy and stupid ideas it has become obvious that we cannot continually add to the existing set of ineptness, that list would get too large too quickly.

Thus, each new Ocasio-Cortez post will have only the latest gaffes out of her mouth. To review her previous idiocies just enter her last name in the search box above.

Let’s get started:

1) There is no topic that Ocasio-Cortez does not consider herself an expert on which is why she comes off so harebrained so many times. Consider one of her latest inane quotes: “Reproductive health care for incarcerated women should be guaranteed as it is with all women in the United States, so I think it really depends. I think that’s what the Hyde Amendment is really about. The Hyde Amendment isn’t about abortion, per se. The Hyde Amendment is truly about equality of health care and health care access for low-income women and women of color and women that get caught in our incarceration — mass incarceration — system.”

She went on to say that the Hyde Amendment was about income inequality and it was no longer just a female issue.

So what is the Hyde Amendment. It is was a piece of legislation that was made into law a while ago that said that Federal taxpayer money could not be used to fund abortions. It has simple as that. It has nothing to do with “income inequality.” It has nothing to do with women of color, poor women, mass incarceration of women, it is a simple concept of making it illegal to use Federal taxpayer money to fund abortions.

Don’t believe me? Read the straightforward actual wording of the legislation below:

Prohibiting Federally funded abortions

301. Prohibition on funding for abortions(a) In general

No funds authorized or appropriated by Federal law, and none of the funds in any trust fund to which funds are authorized or appropriated by Federal law, shall be expended for any abortion.

(b) Health benefits coverage

No funds authorized or appropriated by Federal law, and none of the funds in any trust fund to which funds are authorized or appropriated by Federal law, shall be expended for health benefits coverage that includes coverage of abortion.

302. Treatment of abortions related to rape, incest, or preserving the life of the mother

The limitations established in sections 301 shall not apply to an abortion—

(1) if the pregnancy is the result of an act of rape or incest; or(2) in the case where a woman suffers from a physical disorder, physical injury, or physical illness, including a life-endangering physical condition caused by or arising from the pregnancy itself, that would, as certified by a physician, place the woman in danger of death unless an abortion is performed.

A simple, easy to understand piece of legislation and yet, she still cannot comprehend another concept.

2) Ocasio-Cortez is one of the leading advocates for giving members of Congress a pay raise that ignores the reality that most members of Congress are useless. They lack either the will, the ability, or the energy to come up with solutions to the pressing problems of the times, a lack of progress that spans decades. 

A few additional pieces of reality for the good Congresswoman:

• Members of Congress currently earn $174,000 a year in salary which is three times more than what the average American household makes.
• This does not include the robust health insurance and medical access, retirement perks, and other benefits that do not show up in the base $174,000.
• Dozens if not hundreds, of members of Congress are millionaires many times over so many do not need the money they get now, never mind giving them a raise.
• As a sub-segment of the population, they are probably one of the richest sub-segments in the whole country.
• They work far fewer days in the course of a year than most full time American workers.
• And Congresswoman, you should have known what the financial situation for a member of Congress was before entering politics and winning a seat in Congress; if you were ignorant of that reality then shame on you, do not ask the taxpayers to bail you out of your fiscal problem.
• In fact, according to Step 37 in our book,”Love My Country, Loathe My Government,” we would make Congressional pay a merit based system where Congressional pay would go up or down based on how successful Congress was in addressing the problems of the country. Which for this set of politicians it would likely mean a pay base decrease, not a raise.

But as always, she just does not get it: “Yep. Voting against cost of living increases for members of Congress may sound nice, but doing so only increases pressure on them to keep dark money loopholes open.”

Is she actually saying that if members of Congress do not get pay raises they will start doing shady stuff just to survive because $174,000 is so hard to live on? Again, totally ignorant of reality. A few more thousands of dollars a year from an increased salary is peanuts compared to what self enrichment scams many of these politicians have pulled off over the years.

3) One last piece of idiocy and quote from her to wrap up today’s Ocasio-Cortez insanity. John Philip Sousa IV, writing for the Townhall website on June 13, 2019, reviewed this inane quote from the Congresswoman: “Our guarantee to having a home comes before someone else’s privilege to earn a profit.”

So:

• Does this mean that I have to pay for someone else to have a home before I can enjoy the results of my working hard?
• Why doesn’t that person work hard and pay for their own home? 
• Does that mean that a company cannot earn a profit until everyone has their own home, even if they did not work to earn enough money to have their own home?
• Why would anyone work hard to earn enough money to have a home if not working would still get me a home under her concept? 
• And once this person got a free home who would pay for the property taxes, the utilities, the maintenance, etc.? Would hard working people also have to pay for the expense of keeping the house and home viable over time?
• And if these questions are not hard enough to wrap your head around, how would this program be administered: the Federal government, an entity that cannot do anything efficient, effective, or to completion? 

Her ideas and statements are so idiotic and so out of this world. It gives one a headache trying to comprehend what she is possibly thinking when she opens her mouth and inert ideas like getting everyone a free home, giving overpaid and under performing politicians a pay raise, and not even being able to understand a few simple, straightforward paragraphs in a piece of legislation gush out.

May, 2019, Part 6, Political Class Insanity: A Delusional and Hypocritical Hillary Clinton, A Disgusting Alabama Politician, and A Review of Obama's Lawbreaking

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) Let’s review some likely law breaking of Hillary Clinton:

• She used an unsecured email server to illegally transmit top secret government documents.
• She sold out the security interests of the country in the Uranium One deal with Russia in exchange for rich speaking fees for her husband from Russian government interests.
• She tried to launder money donations from foreign government interests to the Clinton Foundation via Canadian financial transactions in violation of IRS rules and laws.
• She destroyed emails, computers, and cellphones to avoid Congress and government investigators from finding out what laws she violated.
• She allowed hundreds of thousands of sensitive government documents to end up on the unsecured laptop computer of a known sexual predator, former Congressman Anthony Weiner.
• She may have used Clinton Foundation charity money for personal use, e.g. her daughter’s wedding.

You get the idea, it is highly likely that she violated many, many laws over the years, abusing the power she wielded as Secretary of State to enrich herself and family.

But according to a recent article on the Freedom Outpost website, Hillary somehow insanely does not see it that way, in her mind Trump is the real lawbreaker. In a recent public appearance she accused Trump of abusing the rule of law in this country. Specifically: “We’ll see whether it’s the rule of law or the rule of Trump that the Republicans in the Congress and in the courts are going to abide by. We are at a crisis point and I say that with great sadness.”

This idiocy and hypocrisy comes forth in light of the ongoing feud between Attorney General William Barr and the headhunting Democrats in Congress who are desperate to finding a reason, any reason, to impeach Trump. And not only is Clinton being so hypocritical accusing Trump of violating the rule of law in this single instance while she likely violated multiple laws multiple times, she remained of silent while serving on Obama’s cabinet and Obama was breaking the rule of law and abusing the Bill of Right and the Constitution dozens of times:

• Obama led the United States into a major military action against the country of Libya, spending well over a billion dollars of taxpayer wealth and placing our armed forces in danger without the approval of Congress, violating the War Powers Act and Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution.
• Obama refused to fire James Clapper, a high ranking member of the President’s national security team after Clapper lied to Congress about how much electronic information the National Security Agency (NSA) was collecting on every American citizen, becoming an accessory after the fact in Clapper's lying to Congress.
• Obama signed the latest NDAA legislation whose sections 1021 and 1022 allow for the indefinite detention of American citizens, without trial, who the government considers terrorist suspects until the vague “end of hostilities,” which violates the habeas corpus protection of American citizens under Article I Section 9 of the Constitution.
• Obama personally signed off on the assassination of American citizens in foreign lands, e.g. the killing of American citizen Anwar al-Awlaki via a drone attack in Yemen, denying him and other citizens a fair trial by their peers, negating the rights, and lives, of al-Awlaki and at least three other American citizens, violating their right “to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness,” the Fourth Amendment, and the Sixth Amendment to the Constitution.
• Obama has repeatedly and in varied ways denied members of our armed forces of their right to personally celebrate, follow, and take comfort in their personal Christian religion and faith, violating the First Amendment to the Constitution.
• Obama’s administration’s development and deployment of the Fast and Furious gun running operation to supply weapons to violent Mexican drug cartels has violated any number of laws including, the illegal shipment of weapons to criminal organizations, violations of international treaties regarding illegal gun smuggling, abetting the violence of those cartels who used Fast and Furious weapons to kill innocent Mexican civilians and a U.S. border agent, Brian Terry, and denying Congress and Congressional investigators access to pertinent Fast and Furious executive branch documents needed to investigate the alleged transgressions by claiming executive privilege. 
• Obama unilaterally delayed the small business (SHOP) mandates from his own Obama Care legislation, without Congressional approval, violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama unilaterally delayed the employer mandates, without Congressional approval, from his own Obama Care legislation without Congressional, violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama allowed so-called "sanctuary cities" to illegally protect illegal immigrants from arrest and deportation, in defiance of existing Federal laws, violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama unilaterally decided, without Congressional approval, that Obama Care enrollees in states using only the Federal health care exchange, i.e. those states that did not set up their own Obama Care exchange, would also be eligible for Obama Care subsidies, violating his own Obama Care legislation and violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama unilaterally decided, without Congressional approval, that those personal insurance policies that insurance companies had to legally terminate as a result of Obama Care could indeed stay in effect, violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama unilaterally decided, without Congressional approval, to change out many more tenets and deadlines of the Obama Care legislation (e.g. delaying the caps on out of pocket medical expenses, waiving the income proof requirement for subsidies, waiving the criminal background checks on Obama Care navigators, etc.), violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama’s administration has hassled, spied on, harassed, and threatened a multitude of journalists including, but not likely limited to, Bob Woodward, Lanny Davis, Fox News employees James Rosen and Mike Levine, Sheryl Atkinson, Audrey Hudson (whose home was ransacked by Department of Homeland Security armed personnel who confiscated her journalistic files despite serving a court order that was restricted to only looking for guns), Associated Press reporters, and others, violating their First Amendment rights.
• When the Egyptian military staged a coup and overturned a democratically elected government, Obama refused to cut off aid to that military ruling junta as required by U.S. law, violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama’s administration allowed lucrative taxpayer funded financial credits to Congressional members and their staffs to pay for Obama Care policies in violation of the Obama Care legislation, violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• His Obama Care legislation forced individuals, companies, and charities to violate their own religious beliefs relative to contraception and birth control, violating those citizens’ and organizations’ First Amendment rights.
• Obama illegally made government appointments to high level government positions while the Senate was still in session, violating Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution.
• Obama ignored the ruling of a Federal judge in Louisiana regarding the administration’s illegal moratorium on Gulf oil drilling, resulting in the following stinging rebuke from the judge: “Each step the government took following the court’s imposition of a preliminary injunction showcases its defiance, Such dismissive conduct, viewed in tandem with the re-imposition of a second blanket and substantively identical moratorium, and in light of the national importance of this case, provide this court with clear and convincing evidence of the government’s contempt.”
• Obama's administration’s unparalleled invasion of citizens’ privacy via the warrantless and groundless interception and storage of just about every citizens’ electronic and other communications via the National Security agency and other government entities is a gross violation and insult to every citizens’ First and Fourth Amendment rights.
• Obama unilaterally decided not to enforce the DOMA law, without Congressional approval, violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama illegally violated immigration laws by forbidding the deportation of illegal aliens, without the approval of Congress, violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama’s administration illegally used the IRS to harass and minimize the impact and activities of conservative and other contrary political action organizations, violating those citizens’ First Amendment rights.
• Obama illegally created a “shadow government” by establishing a so-call “czar” system in order to bypass the Constitutionally required Congressional approvals of high ranking government positions, violating Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution. 
• Obama's administration violated existing laws by failing to produce a Federal budget proposal on time in four of the first five years of this administration, violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama’s administration illegally demanded monetary kickbacks (often exuberant kickbacks) from American organizations requesting government documents under the Freedom of Information Act, (FOIA), requests that by law have to be provided for free or for a very small processing cost, violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama’s administration demanded that the Ford Motor company stop showing a Ford television commercial that mentioned that its competitors, General Motors and Chrysler, had received Federal bailout money, a violation of the company’s First Amendment rights.
• Obama’s administration coldly ignored the request for military help, help that was readily available, when the U.S. Benghazi consulate and nearby adjacent annex were under siege by terrorists, a siege that endangered the lives of about 24 American citizens and resulted in the unnecessary death of four of those brave citizens violating their pursuit of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
• Obama’s administration illegally used resources of the Federal government to inhibit and harass companies (e.g. Gibson Guitar, Boeing’s planned move of jobs to South Carolina, etc.) whose political agenda did not line up with the President’s political agenda, abusing the power of his office and the executive branch for political gain, violating Section 2, Articles 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama’s administration intentionally violated the WARN act by telling companies to not announce layoffs that were in compliance with the WARN Act prior to the 2012 Presidential election, promising to pay any fines incurred in the future with taxpayer money that those companies may incur as a result of violating the WARN as requested by the Obama administration.
• Obama refused to fire Eric Holder, the Attorney General of the United States, after Holder testified before Congress that he was unaware that the Justice Department was harassing journalist James Rosen even though Holder had signed off on the harassing investigation, becoming an accessory after the fact of the crime.
• Obama’s administration directly harassed and pressured insurance companies and insurance company executives not to publish or discuss the very disappointing number of people that had signed up for Obama Care insurance policies, violating their First Amendment rights.
• Obama’s administration asked and/or forced contractors to disclose their political contributions before being allowed to bid on Federal contracts and projects, violating those contractors’ First Amendment rights.
• Obama failed to fire Kathleen Sebelius after she violated the Hatch Law when she campaigned/endorsed a Democrat for office in North Carolina, becoming an accessory after the fact after the fact of the crime.
• Obama allegedly told the EPA to unilaterally set emissions standards and bypass Congress, violating Article II, Sections 3 and 4 of the Constitution.
• Obama’s destruction of citizens’ privacy via the massive and illegal spying of the National Security Agency and other government entities destroys the underpinnings of the Roe Vs. Wade Supreme Court ruling which was based on the principle of privacy. If this concept of privacy is destroyed by NSA and other government spying, i.e. if there is no privacy now in this country given that the government spies on every citizens’ electronic and other forms of communication, there is no right to an abortion in this country.
• Obama’s administration violated the Federal Information Security Information Act (FISMA) by giving the Obama Care information systems infrastructure “authority to operate” even though it failed the required FISMA’s security control assessment.
• According to a Federal judge’s ruling, Obama’s administration illegally tried to avoid disclosure of a foreign aid directive.
• Obama allowed multiple high ranking members of his administration to use multiple false email accounts in violation of Federal sunshine laws and regulations.
• Obama’s administration illegally intruded into the General Motors bankruptcy proceedings to illegally rob General Motors bondholders of their due while protecting his politically friendly union interests.
• Obama’s administration violated the Solyndra loan agreement and illegally moved an Obama financial political backer ahead of the Federal government and American taxpayer in the Solyndra bankruptcy proceedings, resulting in the American taxpayer getting less out of those proceedings than legally permissible.

And Hillary goes nuts on Trump for a single disagreement on the rule of law and remained silent when Obama was shredding the Constitution as the dozens of above examples show. Hypocrite and still a very sore and childish loser.

2) The following topic is not meant to open a debate on the pros and cons of abortion. It is meant to point out how callous, soulless, and despicable certain politicians can be when discussing this topic.

The state of Alabama was recently debating a piece of legislation as it relates to abortion, the intent of which is immaterial to this discussion. When speaking in opposition to the proposed legislation, Democratic representative John Rogers stated that, ”Some kids are unwanted, so you kill them now or you kill them later. You bring them in the world unwanted, unloved, you send them to the electric chair. So, you kill them now or you kill them later.” 

This is the first time I have ever observed a politician actually equate abortion to justifiable homicide. His assumption base is disgusting:

• He assumes that all unwanted kids will grow up to be hardened criminals that society will have to kill at some time in the future so why not kill them early on and save the later hassles?
• He assumes that there are no adults or families out there that would adopt an unwanted child, whatever the reason for that child being unwanted.
• He assumes it is okay to kill an unwanted human soul but I would bet there are laws in Alabama, like there are in other places, that would prosecute him if he took an unwanted puppy or kitten to the nearest lake and drowned them but in his mind it is okay to kill an unwanted baby.

Like I said before, one soulless individual. I believe that he is the same person that said the world would be better off if Donald Trump, Jr. had been aborted before birth. This is how far adult political debate has disappeared in this country, using the very serious topic of abortion to try and gain cheap political points against a political opponent. This is more than insane, this is disgusting rhetoric from a disgusting human being who also happens to be a disgusting politician.

That will do it for today: a disgusting and despicable politician in Alabama, a sore loser delusion and hypocritical politician in Hillary Clinton, and a nice review of the lawbreaking that Obama did while in office. More insanity to follow.

March, 2019, Part 4, Political Class Insanity: Elizabeth Warren Goes Repugnant, Bernie Sanders' Sexual Harassing Campaign Staff, and More

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) Liberals and Democrats like to imagine themselves as the protector of all and comforter of all population minority segments that they define anyway they want to suit the current outrage moment. A recent hero of such outrage was Senator Bernie Sanders who had a decent run at the Democratic Presidential nomination in 2016. 

But according to a recent National Review article by Jack Crowe, Sanders’ campaign fell far short of protecting and respecting the rights, feelings, and respect of women:

• Women who worked on his staff and campaign have gone public with the accusations that they were subjected to sexual harassment and discrimination from their bosses on the job.
• The accusations were strong enough for Sanders to publicly apologize for this predator behavior: “I certainly apologize to any woman who felt that she was not treated appropriately, and of course if I run, we will do better next time,” Sanders said when asked by CNN’s Anderson Cooper about a Wednesday New York Times report that alleged systemic gender pay disparities and sexual harassment on his campaign.
• Furthermore: “I am not going to sit here and tell you that we did everything right in terms of human resources, in terms of addressing the needs that I’m hearing from now, that women felt disrespected, that there was sexual harassment which was not dealt with as effectively as possible.” 
• A number of women on staff say there was sexual harassment which, when they reported it, they were mocked and had their accusations ignored.
• They are said they were paid less for comparable work, a standard rallying point of liberals and Democrats, a rallying point that Sanders failed to respect.
• Sanders tried to make the excuse that he was too busy running for President to know what was going on: “Yes, I was little bit busy running around the country trying to make the case.” 

More hypocrisy from just another plain old politician. It was not his fault, he was not aware what was going on, blah, blah, blah. As always, a member of the American political class is incapable of taking responsibility, not an attractive trait for someone who wants to lead the country. A great leader gives credit and takes responsibility, something that Sanders does not know how to do.

2) I am not looking to get into a discussion of abortion here, pro choice vs. pro life. I just want to point out one of the most callous, heartless, and despicable statements a politician has made at anytime on any subject. Democrat Senator Elizabeth Warren, a Presidential candidate, is the culprit.

This statement goes back a few months when Democrats were out of their minds during the Brett Kavanaugh Supreme Court confirmation hearings. Warren was besides herself with the panicked thought that if Kavanagh was confirmed then the right to an abortion would be destroyed and back alley abortions would become prevalent again. 

But what was really repulsive was her statement that: “Today, thanks to Roe, getting an abortion is safer than getting your tonsils out. Before Roe v. Wade, many women turned to back-alley butchers to end their pregnancies.” So in essence, Warren is equating the killing of an unborn human soul to getting rid of an unneeded bodily organ. Again, this discussion is not about the validity of abortion but let’s have a little compassion for killing an unborn infant then comparing it to getting your tonsils out. Repugnant and insane.

3) And following up on Warren’s inhumane rant, she is basically wrong about thinking that the reversal of Roe vs.Wade would result in a return to untold millions of back alley abortions because….there never really was an epidemic of back alley abortions prior to Roe. Consider a history of abortion based on facts and reality, not Warren’s scare tactics and rhetoric:

• Back in In 1960, Dr. Mary Calderone, the medical director of Planned Parenthood, wrote in the American Journal of Public Health: “… about 90 percent of all illegal abortions are presently being done by physicians…Whatever trouble arises usually arises from self-induced abortions, which comprise approximately 8 percent, or with the very small percentage that go to some kind of non-medical abortionist…So remember…abortion, whether therapeutic or illegal, is in the main no longer dangerous, because it is being done well by physicians.”
• Once upon a time Dr. Bernard Nathanson, a former abortionist and abortion activist, claimed that between 5,000 and 10,000 women died every year from back alley abortions and that legalizing abortion was a way to ensure their safety.
• Except that those numbers were imaginary as he later admitted: “I confess that I knew that the figures were totally false and I suppose that others did too if they stopped to think of it. But in the ‘morality’ of our revolution, it was a useful figure, widely accepted … The overriding concern was to get the laws eliminated, and anything within reason that had to be done was permissible.”
• And even the government admits that thousands and thousand of women did not die annually from back alley abortions since a Center For Disease Control study found that in the year prior to the Roe decision 39 people died from abortion procedures in the country, not 390, note 3,900, not 39,000 just 39, less than one per state.
• And the fact that Roe is the law of the land does not mean that abortion is as safe as getting one’s tonsils out since Roe became law, hundreds of women have died from legal abortion complications.

Again this is not a debate on the pros and cons of abortion but the reality that politicians will lie and exaggerate reality and facts to make a false talking point even when it comes to killing unborn souls.

4) Speaking of lying politicians, let’s look at a recent article by the Heritage Foundation on lying politicians when it comes to the border wall that Trump wants to build to protect Americans from criminal and terrorist elements coming across our southern border:

• Cal Thomas, writing on January 10, 2019, found that politicians change their views and values based on the political winds of the times.
• Consider what Senator Barack Obama had to say about illegal immigration back in 2006: “Those who enter our country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law. And because we live in an age where terrorists are challenging our borders, we simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, and unchecked. Americans are right to demand better border security and better enforcement of our immigration laws.”
• Hillary Clinton in 2015: “I voted, when I was a senator, to build a barrier to try to prevent illegal immigrants from coming in.”
• According to the Washington Post,back 2013 a bipartisan group of Senators “which included current Democratic leaders Sens. Charles E. Schumer (N.Y.) and Richard J. Durbin (Ill.), declared that “not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary [of Homeland Security] shall establish . . . the ‘Southern Border Fencing Strategy,’ to identify where 700 miles of fencing (including double-layer fencing) . . . should be deployed along the Southern border.””
• Nancy Pelosi at the time stated that the proposed Senate legislation had the characterization that “every piece of this legislation has had bipartisan support”

But now that Trump is President and these people hate Trump, the concept of securing our border and protecting Americans is despicable to these hypocrites and liars.

5) One last piece of insanity about the wall concept, a concept that was once a good idea among Democrats and now is a bad idea. One tack that they now take is to say that the wall is either not needed or is ineffective. But consider some realities that Cal Thomas included in his article cited above: “Since San Diego built its wall in 1992, the statement notes, apprehensions of illegal aliens have declined by 92 percent; El Paso, Texas, erected a wall in 1993 and illegal border crossings dropped 72 percent the first year and 95 percent over 22 years; Tucson, Arizona, built its wall in 2000 and apprehensions dropped 90 percent over 15 years; the Yuma, Arizona, wall went up in 2005, contributing to a decline in crossings of 95 percent over nine years.”

But as always with a lying American politician, never let reality get in the way of a good talking point.
