The Horrors And Destruction That Donald Trump Has Imposed On America...Just Kidding! Part 21

Before we start today’s discussion, let’s review my voting history: 

• I have never voted for a Republican for President in my life. 
• Thus, I did not vote for Trump. 
• I have rarely voted for a Republican for national office in my life. 

A little over two years ago, many liberals, Democrats, and millennials were besides themselves with grief and fear because their pre-ordained queen, Hillary Clinton, was not elected President. Instead, Donald Trump was elected, an individual that these same people despised, hated, and feared, an individual they felt would endanger and possibly destroy the country and our democracy. For the past year and a half they fretted, worried and lashed out at anything or anyone that even remotely smelled of Donald Trump.

Given that Trump has been in office for a little over two years, I thought, that as someone who did not vote for him, it would be a good idea to review the horror, trauma, and terrible things that Trump has subjected the country to in just twenty seven month’s time. This is obviously a very sarcastic comment when you take an unbiased look at what has happened during the Trump Presidency.

The many previous posts we did on this topic identified well over 200 good things that have happened to America and Americans since Trump became President can found by entering the phrase “the horrors and destruction” in the search box above. Today, let’s add another dozen or so good things that are going on in the country even though the doubters hate the reality that Trump is President:

- The number of Americans filing for unemployment benefits dropped to the lowest level in nearly half a century last month, March, 2019, dropping to 192,000, the lowest number since September, 1969, when the population was much smaller.

- The four week moving average of unemployment benefit filings last month was at the lowest level since November, 1969.

- National retail sales jumped by 1.6% last month, the highest growth level in eighteen months, indicating a still strong economy.

- The stock market has rebounded from a late 2018 drop and is almost back to record high levels.

- The infamous, expensive, and discredited Mueller investigation has cleared Trump of collusion, obstruction, and any other criminal activity.

- A strong March, 2019 jobs report kept the national unemployment rate at 3.8%, close to a 50 year low.

- Hispanics, traditionally a very strong Democratic voting bloc, gave Trump a 50% approval rate according to a recent McLaughlin and Associates poll, a 50% approval rate in a recent Marist/NPR/PBs survey, and a still high 45% approval rate in a recent Morning Consult/Politico poll.

- According to a recent Rasmussen poll, 41% of Americans feel America is on the right track as compared to mid-high 20s during Obama’s last full year in office in 2016.

- Another Rasmussen poll found that the overall approval rate of Trump is at 49%, a number that has been trending upwards and a rate that is higher than Obama’s at the same time of each administration.

- Trump donated his latest salary of $100,000 to immigration support, much like he has donated all of his previous salary dollars to supporting veterans’ needs, the fight against alcoholism, and other worthy causes that affect many Americans.

- The Trump administration has launched a $350 million effort to fight opioid addiction, through research and treatment, in an effort to reduce opioid overdose deaths by 40% in four especially hard hit states, Kentucky, Ohio, New York, and Massachusetts.

For those of you that have hated on Trump since day one, and given your obvious gross error in judgment relative to Trump given the well 200 accomplishments we have previously listed and the ten newest accomplishments listed above, let me ask that you to do us all a favor by implementing the following changes in your behavior and attitude:

• Chill out, tamp down your TDS affliction. No matter how much you hate Trump on a sexist, personal basis, get over it. He is the legally and duly elected President, he will be around for a while so refocus your hatred on more constructive issues and matters. You will live a lot longer if you take your hatred out of your heart and soul and devote it to something positive.
• I would really appreciate it if some of you would apologize to the Trump voters you have disrespected in some of the grossest terms possible over the past year. You have called millions of voters racists, ignorant, stupid, Nazis, KKK members, and other horrible names simply because you disagreed with their voting choice. No American should be called such disgusting names simply because they exercised their Constitutional rights to the best of their abilities. Plus, slandering over 60 million Americans is no way to unite the country and get it focused on the real issues facing us all.
• More personally, I would like, no I am demanding, an apology from some of you for your slanderous and disgusting name calling because in doing so, you insulted and disrespected my sister, my family members, my friends, and my co-workers who simply voted their conscience. I will defend their right to vote anyway they wanted and will no put up with your childish and vicious venom and bile directed at them, very important people in my life.
• And finally, I challenge you to read the following blog post, a post that shows quite clearly that it was hateful people like some of you and your silence during the Obama years that actually caused Trump to be elected. Thus, the people you hate for voting for Trump are actually looking back at you in the mirror:

Given that Trump has been in office for over 21 months or so, I thought, that as someone who did not vote for him, it would be a good idea to review the horror, trauma, and terrible things that Trump has subjected the country to in just eighteen month’s time. This is obviously a very sarcastic comment when you take an unbiased look at what has happened during the Trump Presidency. The many previous posts we did on this topic identified over 190 good things that have happened to America and Americans since Trump became President can found by entering the phrase “the horrors and destruction” in the search box above.

Since the last “horrors and destruction” post an additional ten accomplishments and good tidings have occurred as a result of this Presidency:

- The New York Times actually gave Trump positive recognition for actually getting NATO allies to shoulder a bigger, fairer share of NATO’s defense costs, yes the New York Times!

- Trump’s White House staff is significantly smaller than Obama’s which could save the American taxpayer upwards of $20 million by the end of Trump’s four years as President, with Trump’s staff consisting of 374 staffers while Obama had 469 at the same time into his Presidency.

- The U.S. economy grew at a wonderful 3.5% rate in the third quarter of 2018, which, when combined with the stronger 4.2% growth in the second quarter, resulted in the strongest consecutive quarters of growth since 2014.

- The economy is on a growth rate to record the largest annual economic growth rate since 2005.

- In 2017, Trump’s first year in office, median household income rose to the highest level ever recorded.

- The number of murders in the U.S. declined by .7% in 2017, reversing a rising trend over the previous two years.

- The unemployment rate is at a 50 year low, falling from 4.8% when his term began to a current 3.7% rate.

- Corporate profits are at an all time high.

- The number of people on food stamps is at the lowest level since November, 2009, a reduction of 3.8 million people since Trump’s term began.

- The percentage of African Americans and Hispanic Americans in the country living in poverty are at the lowest levels ever since the Census Bureau began keeping track in the mid 1960s.

For those of you that have hated on Trump since day one, and given your obvious gross error in judgment relative to Trump, let me ask that you to do us all a favor by implementing the following changes in your behavior and attitude:

Instead, Donald Trump was elected, an individual that these same people despised, hated, and feared, an individual they felt would endanger and possibly destroy the country and our democracy. But those posts were not enough to cover the good things that have happened since the election. I found another set of ways why the country is better off since Trump came into office and thus, today we add to that list:

- The latest Bureau of Labor Statistics found that the African-American unemployment rate hit a record low in May, at 5.9% it was down an amazing .7% from the month before.

-The unemployment rate for Hispanic workers was 4.9% slightly worse than the record low of 4.8% set the month before.

- Unemployment rate for white workers dropped to 3.5%.

- Total wages were up 2.7% in April vs. the previous April.

- The unemployment rate for women was 3.6%, the lowest level since 1953.

- Those older than 24 years old without a high school diploma had an unemployment rate of 5.4%, close to the lowest level ever, while wages for this group of people was up an amazing 10% over the same time last year.

- Overall unemployment for the country is down to 3.8%, an 18 year low.

- The economy created 223,000 jobs in April, almost double the number of jobs needed to keep up with natural population growth.

- Previous months’ job estimates were raised by 15,000.

- The Atlanta Federal Reserve chapter estimates that GDP will rise an amazing 4.8% in the second quarter.

- Retail sales rose 4.7% in April, 2018 vs. April, 2017.

- In May, average hourly earnings for all private-sector employees rose by 8 cents, totaling a 71-cent increase over the year before which is the largest annual increase since 2009.

- So far, over 4 million American workers have received a pay raise and/or bonus because of the Trump tax reforms.

- Three million incremental Americans have found a job since Trump became President.

- The Consumer Confidence Index rose to 128, up from a revised 125.6 in April according to the Conference Board.

- The U.S. now has the most competitive economy in the world, according to the IMD World Competitiveness Center.

- The summit meeting between the U.S and North Korea is back on track with a tentative date of June 12, a possible first step to reining in North Korea’s nuclear weapons program.

- Initial plans are underway for a Trump/Putin summit to smooth out the many difference between the U.S. and Russia.

- Shortly after freeing three American hostages from North Korea, the Trump administration successfully freed an American hostage held in Venezuela.

- Trump has signed a set of executive orders that make it much easier to fire Federal employees that do not do their jobs.

- Trump continues to hold European NATO allies accountable to their NATO promise and commitment to have their military expenditures be at least a certain percentage of their GDP with Germany agreeing with him that it was underfunding its military forces relative to the NATO requirements and dictating to its military people to increase funding requests.

Another twenty three reasons to add to the previous 120 or so reasons why the first year and a few months of the Trump Presidency has not wrought disaster on the country.

April, 2017, Part 2, Political Class Insanity: Where Being White Means A Worst Education, Chicago Imploding, and No Cure For Stupid In California

It is the beginning of another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Today and for all of the insanity posts this month, let’s start off with a welcome piece of honest political dialog. It comes from a State Department spokesperson. Mark Toner, who is about to start the daily State Department press briefing. In a joking matter, he makes the following quote: "Welcome to the State Department. I think we have some interns in the back. Welcome. Good to see you in this exercise in transparency and democracy."

He then burst out laughing at his own quote, indicating he also knew what a joke the Obama administration has been, especially Mr. Toner’s State Department, when it comes to cover ups, lack of transparency, denial of Freedom of Information Act requests, the prosecution of whistleblowers, etc. But at least it was a little refreshing to finally hear some actual honesty out of Washington as we see from the actual clip of the news conference:

With that context of honesty, let’s see what other insanity has been going down:

1)When government gets too large, it gets out of control, throwing common sense out the window. And what recently happened to a school in California shows how politicians and bureaucrats get way too involved in our lives with outright stupidity.

According to a recent article on the Eagle Rising website:

• According to California law and court decisions, if the percentage of white students in a California school exceeds 30% that school must see a reduction in the amount of government aid it receives to educate its kids.
• When this happens, it usually results in the reduction in the number of teachers in that school who dares to have more than 30% of white kids and larger classes, likely resulting in lower learning results just because some kids are white.
• In theory, this nonsense was supposed to get more taxpayer money to non-white students which is as racists as it sounds.
• The latest instance of this atrocity happened to the Walter Reed Middle School in Los Angeles, California.
• This school dared to have over 30% of its students be white which means cuts to its budget.
• The great irony in this case is that the majority of kids at Walter Reed Middle School are minority Hispanic which means that minority students will see a cut in the number of teachers available to them and larger classes which will likely weaken their instruction, the exact opposite of what the policy was supposed to do.

“The exact opposite,” yep, sounds like a typical government program, set out to resolve a problem and make the current problem worse. In this case the policy was supposed to take learning resources away from white kids and give it to minority kids but at Walter Reed, it is the majority of Hispanic students that will suffer.

In addition, funding schools based on kids’ racial backgrounds is so racist to begin with, every kid should be given the same opportunity regardless of who their parents were. What is the next step, not fix roads in communities which have too high of a white population, not plow the snow in communities which have too high of a white population? America is based on the premise of equality regardless of race.

2) We have often reported on the reality of what a mess the city of Chicago is. High taxes, high drug cartel presence, and a very high murder and violent crime rate. We have also reported on how people are not stupid when it comes to where they live, they will vote with their feet and move to areas in the country where the cost of living, be it financial or the threat to their lives, is minimized. We have shown that in general people are leaving high tax and high crime states (e.g. California, New York, Illinois, ewtc.) for lower taxation and lower crime rate states (e.g. Texas, the Dakotas, Florida, ertc.)

Both of these trends were vividly illustrated in recent data coming out of Chicago, a high crime and high taxation location:

• According to reporting by the U.K.’s Daily Mail newspaper, using U.S. Census data, 21,300 people moved out of Cook County, a county that includes the city of Chicago, in a recent single year.
• The Chicago Tribune also recently reported that just in 2016, 37,508 Illinois residents departed the state just for Texas, Florida, and Arizona.
• Illinois as a state has lost more residents in the past three years than every other state.
• The state’s population is the lowest it has been in 10 years despite the overall national population growth rate being positive.
• Which should not surprise anyone since there were 760 homicides in Chicago just in 2016, the highest number of murders in more than 20 years.

The failure of government and the political class in Chicago, at both the state and local level, continues unabated and residents are voting with their feet to take themselves elsewhere, where taxes and crime are not as high. But politicians are either unwilling or unable to fix what needs to be fixed, an unmitigated failure.

3) This third piece of political class insanity for today definitely falls into that category, “there is no cure for stupid.” Unfortunately, this expression now describes the thoughts and words of a sitting U.S. Senator from California, Kamala Harris.

Ms. Harris recently showed her ignorance of the law, the Constitution and representative government when she stated she would not vote to appoint Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court because he values “legalisms over real lives.” Such a stupid statement on several levels:

• Judges’ only job is to rule on legalisms, is a law legal relative to the Constitution or is an action legal relative to a law that Congress has passed.
• A judge’s job does not involve whether or not a law applies to “real lives,” that is the job of the executive and Congressional branches, theoretically acting in accordance with the will of the people who elected them.
• If a law is bad for “real lives,” it is the job of Congress to change it based on input from society, it is not the job of judges to unilaterally do so based on their own values and perceptions.

In reality, if we take Harris’ view to the extreme, we really would not need her and the over 500 people she sits with in Congress, we should just elect judges and let them rule over us, doing what is best for “real lives,” whatever the hell that statement means. Still no cure for stupid.

That will do it for today’s political class insanity: A California politician proves again there is no cure for stupid, the continued failure of politicians in Chicago, Cook County and Illinois, and where being white means you have a right to  a lesser education. More insanity to follow.

July, 2016, Part 5, Political Class Insanity: More Death In Chicago, More Hypocrisy From Democrats, More Juvenile Name Calling And Just Plain More

It is the beginning of another month which means it is time again to review the latest political class insanity from the American political class. Each month it takes us multiple posts to cover the wasteful spending, incompetent government organizations and employees, government programs that usually make a problem worse than resolving it, inane and idiotic politician comments, etc. In fact, last month we set a record, needing ten full posts to cover it all.

To review past posts on this insanity and idiocy, just click on the first few posts in each month listed to the right of this page. After reviewing just a handful of these insanity posts we think you will agree that we are currently being served by the worst set of American politicians ever to hold office in our entire history.

It looks like our politicians have been especially insane over the past month or so let’s continue with the latest insanity from today’s American politicians one day earlier than we usually do:

1) Unfortunately, we often come back to this first topic, including yesterday, but it is news even if the Obama-friendly mainstream media does not cover it. Chicago has some of the toughest gun laws in the country. In the Obama and liberal mindset, this is a good thing since it should greatly reduce gun violence and crime. In reality, their mindset could not be any further from the truth.

According to Fox News, dozens of people were shot in Chicago over the Fourth of July weekend despite increased police attention in the areas known for the most violence. Just between Sunday afternoon and early on Monday, July 4, 2016, a dozen Chicago residents were shot in that 14 hour period. The Chicago Tribune also reported that 32 were shot over the entire July 4 weekend. One man was died from his gunshot wound.

And this violence happened even though the Chicago police publicly proclaimed it would put a show of force on the streets for the holiday weekend. Why did they think they needed a show of force? Because in Chicago in June, on average 15 people were shot everyday. Despite the show of police force, a 15 year old boy and a 17 year old boy were shot and wounded this past holiday weekend.

And as time goes by, the Obama administration and the rest of the political class refuse to acknowledge and work on the root causes of the violence. The political class has been fighting and losing the war on drugs for decades but still insist on doing the same thing over and over which does not reduce drug addiction but does give rise to violent drug cartels and gangs. And the economic malaise that the current administration has caused to infect much of the country prevents people from lifting themselves out of poverty and the violent crime that usually follows poverty. 

But typical politicians, working on either the wrong solution to the right problem or the right solution to the wrong problem.

2) If America is to ever solve any of the major problems facing the country, than at some point in time the politicians in this country are going to have to sit down, start acting like adults, have a mature conversation about problem solving, and start respecting different viewpoints. Obviously, this message of adult behavior never got to a bunch of Hispanic Democrats as witnessed by a recent fundraising effort on their part, as reported by the Joel Gehrke of the Washington Examiner.

Mr. Gehrke reported that over the Memorial Day weekend, fundraisers for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus called on its supporters and fans to “give Republicans the kick in the teeth the deserve": "We MUST hit our emergency $50,000 dollar goal to give Republicans the kick in the teeth they deserve." This was the message from BOLD Pac, the campaign arm of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

They were reacting to some politicians in Oklahoma exercising their First Amendment rights and having a negative opinion of the job Obama has been doing as President. For this use of their free speech rights, others with a different opinion think they should be kicked in the teeth. Not very mature and certainly not conducive to adult and mature conversations on the issues facing America today. Pathetic and immature beyond belief.

3) Liberals and Democrats are always saying that there should be severe gun control laws in this country, if not outright confiscation, and that we should never build walls to keep people out of the country. They are certainly entitled to their opinion, that is what the First Amendment is about despite the actions of Congressional Hispanics as cited in the previous point.

What they are not entitled to is hypocrisy of their actions vs. their words. According to a recent article on the constitution.com website, when the Democrats hold their Presidential convention in Philadelphia in August, it will have heavily armed security forces and the facility will be surrounded by a so-call “no-scale fence.” So common Americans should not have guns and walls to protect their families’ safety but the Democrats are okay with themselves being protected by a wall and guns? 

Several months ago, gun rights group Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (CCRKBA) urged the Democrats to forego the use of firearms at their convention: "Democrats have become known as the party of gun control. Virtually all recent gun control proposals at the federal and state levels have been launched and championed by Democrats. It’s time for the party to ‘put up or shut up’ about guns. The best way to do that is to forsake armed security during the convention.”

The CCRKBA also “noted the “overwhelming hypocrisy” of privileged liberal elitists who have traditionally opposed expanded concealed carry rights for average citizens while they continue to enjoy the protection of armed security. Front runner Hillary Clinton has stated that the Supreme Court was “wrong” in its 2008 Heller ruling about the Second Amendment. She has pushed gun control for average citizens, yet she enjoys Secret Service protection. If a political party believes that guns do not make us safer, they should set an example by rejecting any and all forms of armed security at their national convention. A party that does not believe in the right of individual citizens to keep and bear arms should not benefit from the safety provided by others who bear arms.””

Another favorite issue of liberals and Democrats is voter id laws, they think that anyone who wants to vote should be able to do so, no id necessary. This obviously is a stupid position to have, one that would encourage massive voter fraud, but somehow the Democrats think this is a good idea. 

But this exposes just another blatant hypocrisy of their position since at their convention press people will have to present identification in order to get their press credentials and access to the convention. Just another example where we live in two separate sets of rules in this country, one set for the vast majority of Americans and the other set for the political elitists where the elitists are protected by walls and guns and id rules and the rest of us are not.

It is a video tour and discussion of the formerly once great city of Detroit and what the political class did to it via their incompetence, corruption, and crony capitalism. Detroit was once one of the greatest and most affluent cities in the country. It had a thriving middle class, a vibrant manufacturing sector, and high personal and household income levels. 

Today, it is no better than a third world country. Unless we are careful, as the political class continues to overstep its Constitutional limits and continue to put forth some of the dullest bulbs in the box into office, Detroit is a precursor to what America could easily become unless we recapture the freedom and spirit of independence that the American political class constantly beat down.

Another day, another set of diverse political class insanity: A fallen American city, gross and mass hypocrisy from Democrats, more disgusting, obscene, and counterproductive political name calling and mudslinging, and still ignoring the violence problem of Chicago. More insanity tomorrow.

September, 2015, Political Class Insanity, Part 6: Economic Policy Failure In Washington and Immigrants Sucking Up More Welfare Than Natives

It is the start of another month which means it is time for our monthly review of the latest political class insanity that continually spews forth from America’s politicians. Their actions, words, quotes, incompetency, and general ineptness continue to reinforce our theory that we are currently being served by the worst set of politicians in the history of the nation.

As you read about the latest shenanigans and ineptness of the political class, keep in mind what should be their priorities in these difficult times and compare this list to what they are actually working on:

• NBC recently reported that ISIS forces are getting larger and stronger despite the Obama administration spending billions of dollars on a failed air campaign and military strategy.
• The stock market is in free fall.
• Job creation is barely keeping up with population growth.
• Wage growth is anemic, growing just .2% in the second quarter, the lowest quarterly growth since 1982.
• The labor participation rate is at the lowest level in decades because the Obama economy cannot generate enough jobs.
• Thousands of veterans are still not getting the medical care they were promised by the Federal government.
• 46 million Americans are still receiving monthly Federal food assistance.
• Our borders still leak and thousands of illegal immigrant criminals continue to walk our streets
• A record number of police officers have been assassinated in the past week.
• Major programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security are hurtling towards insolvency and lose hundreds of billions of dollars every year to fraud and mismanagement.
• Our kids are still getting lousy public educations at most public schools.
• The IRS and other government functions seem to be getting their computer systems hacked on a regular basis, exposing tens of millions of Americans to identity theft potential.
• Obama Care is a failure along so many dimensions as health care costs continue to soar despite the Obama promise that they would decrease.
• Annual Federal deficits, while down, are still about half a TRILLION a year meaning that even though the Federal government is collecting more in taxes than ever before, it still cannot run a balanced budget.

Again, keep these real crises in mind as you read what our politicians are actually doing.

1) The President likes to tout how well a job he has done managing the economy which as almost always with him, is either political spin, ignorance, or outright lying. Consider the following government statistics on the economy that come from a NewsMax article on September 7, 2015 by Stephen Moore:

• Twenty million recent college graduates are living at home, unable or unwilling to find a good job.
• A 2014 CNN study found that half of the kids who are at least two years past their graduation day still rely on their parents to pay some or all of their bills.
• Which also means that many recent graduates are not paying back their student loans which will eventually have to be paid by the American taxpayer.
• Although the official U-3 unemployment rate is down to 5.1%, that has more to do with the mathematical calculation than actually major improvements in the economy and its ability to create jobs.
• The more realistic unemployment rate that includes workers too discouraged to look for a job or forced to settle for a part time job is 10.5% according to the Federal government.
• A whopping 90 million adult Americans are no longer in the workforce.
• Over 46 million Americans get Federal food assistance every month.
• If Obama and his economic policies had created a normal economic recovery, there would be an additional 5 to 6 million more jobs for these unemployed Americans.
• If Obama had mimicked the Reagan recovery, that number would be closer to 8 million incremental jobs.
• According to Census Bureau stats and analysis, through this past June, the median income family has lost $1,700 in real income since Obama became President.
• The true irony of this fiscal and economic failure is that the steepest declines in income and the higher unemployment rates occur among blacks, Hispanics, single women, and young adults, the very people who voted Obama into office twice. Talk about racism and a “war on women.”
• A standard measure of income inequality, the Gini coefficient, shows that there is now a wider gap between rich Americans and poor Americans than during the entire George W. Bush Presidency.

And somehow the Obama administration, and the rest of Washington’s political class, have managed such anemic economic results despite spending over $800 billion on a failed economic stimulus package, living through a domestic energy and technology revolution that created thousands of good paying jobs, reduced energy costs, and reduced our reliance on imported oil, and benefited from an out of control Federal Reserve that printed up trillions of dollars. 

And still, even having the benefit of these three monster tail winds, they, Obama and the rest of Washington, still screwed it up. You cannot make up such incompetence and insanity.

2) Let’s continue on this train of bad economic numbers and add in a few more:

• The Bureau of Labor Statistics recently published the job numbers for the month of August which showed that only 173,000 jobs were created in August, a 30% decrease from the previous two months.
• Although the U-3 unemployment rate dropped top 5.1% that was only because 261,000 people dropped out of the workforce, too discouraged to look for a full time job or forced to settle for a part time job.
• The Center For Immigration studies found that in the second quarter of 2015 that native born blacks and Hispanic workers had U-6 unemployment rates that were at least 50% higher than all native born workers.
• In an ironic twist, the study found that almost one in four native born workers between the ages of 18-29 cannot find a full time job where foreign born workers of the same age that are 20% more likely to have a full time job.
• The unemployment rate for low skilled workers, young adults, and African-Americans is over 8% vs. an overall unemployment rate of 5.1%.

Again, despite the tremendous positive tailwinds of a stimulus package, an energy revolution, and the Fed printing money, this is how badly the Washington political class and current administration has done in trying to manage a vibrant, growing economy.

3) One last set of bad numbers for today, from another study done by the Center For Immigration Studies. The found that:

• A whopping 51% of immigrant-headed households use at least one welfare program (welfare, housing, food assistance, etc.).
• This number is two thirds higher than native born households where only 30% of those households use at least one welfare program.
• This would indicate that immigrants, legal and illegal, are not the best and brightest of the rest of the world in general, they are the lower skilled and less educated in general, resulting in higher unemployment rates and higher welfare usage rates.
• The author of the report, Dr. Steve Camarota concluded that: "As we make clear in our report, the main reason that immigrants use more welfare than natives is simply that immigrants tend to be less educated and subsequently poorer than natives. Welfare use is not a moral failing on the part of low-skilled immigrants any more than it is for low-skilled natives. Our point is that as long as we continue to take in so many low-skilled immigrants (legal or illegal), immigrant welfare use will remain high."

Not only will welfare usage remain high, it will also unnecessarily tax the average taxpaying working American and deny additional support to needy native born Americans.

That will do it for today’s insanity. Despite spending almost a trillion dollars on a failed economic stimulus plan, despite having the benefit of an energy revolution, and despite having the benefit of the Fed printing and distributing trillions of dollars, the Washington political class and the Obama administration STILL could create a robust, vibrant economic environment. 

And as an additional economic kicker, legal and illegal immigrants fare far worse in the Obama economy and eat up more welfare dollars than native Americans, making a shambles of any defense of the current immigration policies being administered by this Presidency.

Six days into this month’s political class insanity and we are still not close to being done, more insanity tomorrow.
