The Biden Presidency - The End Of An Error - Part Five

 This is the next in a series of posts today themed under the title, “The Biden Presidency - The End Of An Error,” In our opinion, Biden has been, by far, the worst President in the past 100 years or so. His list of failures is amazingly long, his list of successes and accomplishments is quite literally void of anything worthwhile.

The past few posts listed out the failures that have been documented by other Americans. Obviously, there will be some overlap across different writers but at the end of the day, one thing will be clear: the country and its citizens are in far worse shape than they were in January, 2021 when Biden took office.

Today we get input from Washington Post writer, Marc A. Thiesen. Apparently, every year Mr  Thiesen wrote a column which listed out Biden’s ten worst failures. The latest article can be accessed by the link below which also can take you to his previous ten worst lists:

Number 10: Biden withheld critical  weapons from Israel when it needed it the  most to combat Hamas terrorists to pacify the far left members of Congress and his party.

Number 9: He wasted billions of taxpayer dollars on failed green energy boondoggles. Despite Congress having allocated $3 billion for the purchase of electric vehicles for the Post Office, his administration was only able to procure 93 vehicles, an average cost of $32 million per vehicle. Despite a budget of $7,5 billion, his administration was only able to install 200 charging stations, an average cost of $3.75 million per charging station.

Number 8: Biden failed to prevent prosecutor Karim Khan of the Internal Criminal  Court from indicting Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, who was simply protecting his country and citizens. He also opposed sanctions that Congress wanted to impose on the Court.

Number 7: He promised not to support Supreme Court packing but, not unexpectedly, broke his promise by supporting a plan that was simply court packing by another name.

Number 6: Biden was complicit with his staff, family, and legacy media in covering up his significant cognitive decline. The White House press operation continually told America and Americans that Biden was vibrant, tireless and “absolutely authoritative in rooms around the globe.”  Most Ameericans knew better and the rest of America realized the con when Biden was completely embarrassed and exposed in his debate with Trump.

Number 5: Biden constantly promised he would not pardon his son, Hunter, for the crimes he was eventually found guilty of but he did end up pardoning him. Biden justified his lie and reversal by saying that Hunter was guilty of “a miscarriage of justice” even though Hunter had admitted to his criminal actions.

Number 4: Biden stopped the execution of serial killer, child  molesters, and a killer of a police officer. In total, he gave clemency to 37 Federal death row inmates, all of whom had committed horrific crimes against Americans.

Number 3: While Biden initially promised to unite the country and put his “whole soul” into “bringing America together,” he called Trump supporters garbage, racists, traitors, semi-fascists, enemies of America, hardly an effective way to bring the country together.

Number 2: He broke his promise to avenge the suicide bombing during the withdrawal from Afghanistan that unnecessarily led to the death of 13 brave U.S. service personnel:  “We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will hunt you down and make you pay.” Three and half years later that vow is just another empty shell of a broken Biden promise.

Number 1:  He constantly sent billions of dollars worth of weapons and aid to Ukraine with no plan/strategy/ability to end the war.

Honorable mention of failures:

• Biden allowed the terrorist Houthis to continue firing missiles at U.S.  military ships and commercial vessels in the Red Sea with no risk to them.

• His actions and D.E.I. philosophies weakened our defensive capabilities.

• He allowed U.S. military forces to get kicked out of Niger, a key ally for U.S. counterterrorism efforts in Africa, those forces being replaced with Russian troops.

Another view of the many failures of the Biden administration. What is interesting  about this article is that it was published by the Washington Post, a legacy media outlet that has constantly supported Democrats and leftist leaning policies while unfairly going after Republicans and their policy positions. That is how bad the Biden administration was.

February, 2020, Part 8, Political Class Insanity: Election Corruption in D.C., Peter Buttigieg Does Not Get Reality, and Obama's Final Insult to Injury

It is another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

Let’s get started:

1) The corruption of those in Washington D.C. continues unabated according to an article on the Freedom Headlines website: 

• Attorney General William Barr has handed down 8 indictments of Washington operatives.
• The charges are centered around the accusation that these people illegally tried to funnel millions of dollars from foreign sources to top Democrats including Adam Schiff, Hillary Clinton, Cory Booker, and other top Democrats.
• According to the article: “Two Lebanese-American businessmen — including a witness in then-Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe — are among eight people charged with conspiring to funnel more than $3 million in illegal foreign campaign contributions to an unnamed candidate in the 2016 elections, the Justice Department announced on Tuesday. Although the indictment does not specifically name the 2016 candidate, campaign finance records indicate that the recipient of the donations was Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.”
• The indictment includes 53 counts of alleged criminal activity so this was not a little event, given the number of counts and the fact that the alleged activity involved upwards of $3.5 million.
• The counts include such crimes as making illegal conduit contributions, making excessive contributions, making false statements, creating false records, and obstruction of a grand jury.

If the allegations are true, it just verifies again that the political class in this country is corrupt to the core and hypocritical to the max, making laws for us to follow and then assuming those same laws do not apply to themselves.

2) Peter Buttigieg recently made the following accusation regarding Trump's handling of the economy: “The problem is we’ve had an economy grow and not been able to lift up those most in need or even so many in the middle. When I’m president, we’re going to measure the performance of our economy not by the Dow Jones, but by the income growth of the 90 percent.”

Which gets to another age old question when it comes to American politicians: do they actually believe this type of tripe that they dish out or do they think we are too stupid to understand the falsehoods that they are peddling? If the economy is so bad for the non-wealthy why is:

• The African-American unemployment rate at or near a record low?
• The Hispanic unemployment rate at or near a record low?
• The lesser educated unemployment rate at or near a record low?
• The female unemployment rate at or near a record low?
• The number of people receiving and in need of food stamps is down 7 million since Trump took office?
• The rate of rise in wages almost twice as high for those in the lower wage brackets than the highest wage brackets, up 4.5% year over year, more than double the rate of inflation?

Again, is he and his staff that stupid when it comes to reality or is he lying to us and assuming we are too stupid to check reality and the numbers for ourselves to see he is lying? And on top of his lies, he, of course, provides no details on how he would do better than Trump on keeping unemployment low, get wage growth higher, or get more jobs and off of food stamps.

3) I think any rational person knows that Obama was not a big fan of Israel. He once suggested that Israel should go back to its 1967 borders which would be a death sentence for the country. He sent his political operatives to Israel to try and defeat Netanyahu’s bid for reelection since Netanyahu would not kowtow to Obama’s demands. He sent well over a billion in cash to Iran, a country that is the world’s leading terror nation and a nation that has vowed to destroy Israel.

And now we find out that Obama pulled some shady dealings hours before he left office in support of the mortal enemies of Israel, the Palestinians:

• According to a Yahoo News/AP article that I recently came across, Obama sent $221 million to the Palestinians in the waning hours of his Presidency.
• This money had been blocked by Republican members of Congress.
• According to the article: “Congress had initially approved the Palestinian funding in budget years 2015 and 2016, but at least two GOP lawmakers — Ed Royce of California, the chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and Kay Granger of Texas, who sits on the House Appropriations Committee — had placed holds on it over moves the Palestinian Authority had taken to seek membership in international organizations. Congressional holds are generally respected by the executive branch but are not legally binding after funds have been allocated.”
• While the fund were supposed to be used for “humanitarian projects,” I think it is a pretty safe bet, given the history of the Palestinian leadership, that those funds would eventually find themselves to be used for anti-Israel terror activities.
• Do we really think they were going to use $4 million of that money for “for clean energy, sustainable landscapes, cutting greenhouse gas emissions and creating a climate technology center.”?

Millions of Americans are homeless and/or hungry every day and Obama sends $4 million overseas to be used for sustainable landscapes and a climate technology center. Not only a waste of taxpayer money but also a boon for those in the leadership of the Palestinians for their anti-Israel activities. Insanity.

That will do it for today’s insanity: Obama secretly funding shady, anti-Israel players in the Middle East, a Presidential candidate who either does not understand reality or is a big liar, and more Washington D.C. corruption and criminal behavior.

August, 2017, Part 5, Political Class Insanity: Voter Fraud In California, Violence In Baltimore, and Interfering In Foreign Politics

It is the beginning of another month which means it is again time to review the latest political class insanity from Washington and around the world. Political class insanity takes many forms including the wasting of taxpayer wealth, criminal fraud within government programs, inane and stupid political quotes and actions, the inability to create and implement effective and efficient government programs, stupid and ill performing economic policies and strategies, and other forms of insanity that continue to evolve and surprise and shock us.

1) Voting is one of the most important functions, job duties, and actions in a democracy. It is where the one person/one vote doctrine allows common citizens to honestly decide who will run the government and how it should be run. Any violation of voting integrity or perception of violation of voting integrity endangers a basic foundation of a democracy.

Which makes the latest news about California very depressing and dangerous:

• According to analysis done by Judicial Watch, the state of California has 11 counties in which there are more registered voters than there are residents of voting age.
• Judicial Watch has pointed this out to California Secretary of State Alex Padilla, reminding him that the state may be in violation of Federal law, namely Section 8 of the National Voter Registration Act, and threatening to sue the state unless the situation is rectified properly.
• According to the Judicial Watch analysis: “[T]here were more total registered voters than there were adults over the age of 18 living in each of the following eleven (11) counties: Imperial (102%), Lassen (102%), Los Angeles (112%), Monterey (104%), San Diego (138%), San Francisco (114%), San Mateo (111%), Santa Cruz (109%), Solano (111%), Stanislaus (102%), and Yolo (110%).” 
• The letter states that the percentage in L.A. Country may be as high as 144%.
• Judicial Watch threatens to sue if he does not respond in 14 days and unless “Padilla does not remove from the rolls “persons who have become ineligible to vote by reason of death, change in residence, or a disqualifying criminal conviction, and to remove noncitizens who have registered to vote unlawfully.”

I would assume it is highly doubtful that every legitimate adult in each of these counties is registered to vote. Thus, picking a number at random, if only 75% of the residents of Los Angeles county registered to vote, than the voter registration rolls in that county are about 50% too high (112%/75%). This is too much of a discrepancy to be a random event. 

Again, when the integrity of the voting process is even perceived to be busted, democracy is in mortal danger. Should be interesting to see if Mr. Padilla agrees with this reality.

2) Democrats have been in a snit since Hillary Clinton got defeated by a first time politician, Donald Trump, last November. Trump won even though Hillary and her camp spent far more money, had far more name recognition, and had far more mainstream media support. 

In order to keep their heads from exploding from this reality, the Democrats had to invent an outside agent to account for Hillary’s unexpected loss. And that outside agent/tboogie man is Russia. If only Russia had not interfered, and how dare they interfere with our elections and democratic processes, Hillary would be President today.

But as you will see in the video clip associated with the link below, we as a country should not really complain about someone interfering in our elections and processes since the U.S. has been interfering in foreign elections for decades:

• We overthrew a duly elected politician in Iran back in the 1950s because he was a socialist and was encouraging ties with Communist Russia. 
• We invaded Grenada and Somalia when we did not like their internal political trends.
• More recently, Obama sent his minions to interfere in the Israeli national elections in order to try and oust Netanyahu.
• Obama stuck his nose in the Brexit discussions and debates warning the people of a foreign land how to vote on Brexit, with many analysts claiming his interference in that election swung popular sentiment towards exiting.
• Obama tried to tell the President of the Phillipine to go easy on drug dealers in that country, ticking him off so much that the President of the Philippines lashed out at Obama, telling him to mind his own business, and then opening new relationships with China in defiance.
• Obama also stuck his nose into the internal politics of Honduras, after that country legally removed their socialist President who had illegally tried to make himself a lifetime ruler.
• And according to recent Congressional testimony, Obama sent U.S. taxpayer dollars, via USAID, to fund anti-government, George Soros supported radical groups in Macedonia in an attempt to swing that country towards socialism and away from its current stand on freedom and capitalism, as captured in the following videotape:

So, in my view, if you did not object to the U.S. interfering in other countries’ elections and politics, you really do not have a leg to stand on if that interference blows back into our elections, assuming if it even did.

3) Every month or so we check in with Chicago and see over and over how politicians at every level of government, local, state, county, and Federal, have been unable or unwilling to stop the high amount of murders and non-fatal shootings that go on every day, week, month, and year in Chicago. And this carnage goes on even though Chicago has some of the most restrictive gun control laws in the country. No one in the entire political class has been able to solve the drug cartel and other gang related gun violence for years.

And while Chicago may lead the country in TOTAL gun violence, on a per population perspective Baltimore has for years been the leading violent city using that criteria. According to Joseph Curl, writing for the Daily Wire on August 6, 2017, Baltimore had 318 murders in 2016, or 51.1 murders for every 100,000 residents, leading the country. The 2017 murder rate adjusted for population is increasing over the 51.1.

Things got so bad that residents tried to step in where the local politicians failed and tried a unique approach: they launched a campaign that asked people in Baltimore not to kill anyone for 72 hours over a recent weekend. Yes, we have gotten to the point, at least in Baltimore, that we have to plead with criminals not to kill anyone if only for 72 hours.

Despite this unique, novel, and yes, desperate approach, it did not work. At least two people were killed over the 72 hour weekend period and others were wounded.

Baltimore resident Errika Bridgeford called for the truce. Her and her supporters put up a website, a Facebook page that had 1,600 visitors, she got the support of the police, and held community meetings in a desperate attempt to find a way, any way, to succeed where the local politicians failed. Unfortunately, her effort was not successful. 

But you cannot blame her for trying since:

• One of her brothers was shot but survived in 2001.
• Another brother was murdered in 2007.
• Two of her cousins were murdered.
• Three of her cousins’ brothers were murdered.
• Recently, a childhood friend was murdered.

Too bad it did not work but nice try in the absence of any resolutions from the Baltimore political class.

That will do it for today’s insanity: politicians that cannot run a voting process with integrity, politicians that interfere in foreign election processes, and politicians that fail to resolve inner city violence. Failures on all three fronts. More insanity to follow.

June, 2015, Politicians Say The Darndest Things: Still Delusional, Still Out Of Touch With Reality

Ever so often we run a series of posts under the theme, “Politicians say the darndest things.” It is a parody of an old television show, “House Party,” where host Art Linkletter would ask simple questions of young kids and wait for their often funny responses. This segment of his show was called “Kids Say The Darndest Things.” 

Unfortunately when kids say silly or dumb things, it is funny. When politicians say silly or dumb things, there are usually serious ramifications across the land that often involve stupid laws, wasteful spending, self delusion of a politician’s intelligence or abilities, or a continued lack of faith that today’s politicians are smart enough to get anything right.

So let’s take a look at the latest darndest things that American politicians are saying today:

1) “People don’t remember, but when I came into office, the United States in world opinion ranked below China and just barely above Russia, and today once again, the United States is the most respected country on earth.” Barack Obama. As is often the case, when a politician says something you recall the old saying, “you cannot make this stuff up.” Are you kidding me, more respected, most respected? Consider the following realities in the real world and not in his head:

• Putin and Russia respected him so much that they marched into a neighboring country without fear, the Ukraine, and have set up a puppet government loyal to Russia.
• China respected him so much that they are creating man made islands across the Pacific Ocean and daring the anyone, including Obama, to stop them from claiming that those islands give them territorial rights over much of the Pacific and much of the world’s shipping lanes.
• When Obama invited the six leaders of Persian Gulf countries to attend a Camp David summit he was hosting, only two leaders decided to attend and one of the non-attendees decided that a horse show in England was more worthy of his time than a summit with Obama.
• For the first time in decades, Egypt is using Russia as a source of weapons vs. once being exclusively a U.S. supplied military.
• The President of Brazil blew off a state dinner at the Obama White House as a protest against the Obama administration spying on her and her government.
• Despite U.S. protests, Saudi Arabia is reportedly in negotiation with Pakistan to purchase nuclear weapons from that country if the U.S. folds in its negotiations with Iran.
• Israel is now working with Saudi Arabia and other Arab nations against a common enemy, the nation of Iran, leaving the U.S. and Obama out of that equation.
• The U.S. asked Arab countries not to get militarily involved in the Libyan disaster after which some of those countries started bombing terrorist positions within Libya.
• Iran’s leadership often and openingly mocks the Obama administration and right now seems to be taking it to the cleaners in its nuclear arms discussions.

Does not seem like Obama and his administration is getting a lot of love and respect around the world, despite him saying the darndest thing.

2) “You know, I think I am the closest thing to a Jew that has ever sat in this office. For people to say that I am anti-Israel, or, even worse, anti-Semitic, it hurts.” Barack Obama. Really, the closest thing to being a Jew? Again, delusional on so many planes:

• Obama has openly stated that Israel should return to its 1867 borders, a geographic step that would ensure its annihilation, given the missile technology that has developed since 1967. 
• Obama has dissed the Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu more than once by not taking a meeting with him even when the Prime MInister was in the U.S.
• Obama dispatched, probably illegally, political operatives into Israel prior to the last Israeli national election to help prevent a Netanyahu reelection.
• Obama has had a long and strong affiliation with the Muslim Brotherhood, a devout enemy of Israel.

Delusional and preposterous to think that this President is more of Jew than any other President.

3) "I think sometimes people want to be in public service just because they like seeing their name up in lights; they like being important And that's a bad reason to go into politics; you should be like an actress or a singer, or make a lot of money." Barack Obama. This from the current narcissist in chief in the White House. A President who gave a speech at the funeral of Senator Daniel Inouye but ended up mentioning his own self more than the late Senator. A President whose portrait in the White House is larger than any other Presidential portrait. A President who disrespected Neil Armstrong by displaying a picture of himself looking up to the skies in his Armstrong comments on the astronaut's death.

4) “I say to every Israeli: Today we have the ability to stop them if they decided to move quickly to a bomb. And I absolutely guarantee that in the future we will have the ability to know what they’re doing, so that we can still stop them if they decided to move to a bomb.” John Kerry. Of all the quotes we will go over in this post, this one is the most idiotic. 

First of all, the Iranians have already publicly stated that they will not sign an agreement if it involves inspections and searches for nuclear weapon research and manufacturing on their military bases. So if they get such a condition in any agreement, all they have to do is do move all of their nuclear weapons work on military bases. In which case Kerry’s “guarantee” is nothing but hot air. The U.S. could not stop India, Pakistan or North Korea from getting nuclear weapons, and will not be able to stop Saudi Arabia from getting them from Pakistan, but somehow Kerry thinks the U.S. can stop the nut jobs running Iran from getting nuclear weapons? 

No way Kerry has “the ability to stop them [Iran]” or can ”absolutely guarantee” they “know what they are doing.” This is the darndest thing and most delusional quote of the whole post.

5) ”I said earlier that when we celebrated Robert Kennedy’s 50th anniversary of his swearing in 2011, people said that was the golden age for the United States Department of Justice. Well, I think 50 years from now, maybe even sooner than that, people will look at the work you all did and say this was another golden age.” Eric Holder. This was part of the speech Holder gave when he stepped down as the U.S. Attorney General.

He obviously has a different definition of “golden age” than I do since during his tenure as the top law enforcement official in the country:

• He allowed the illegal Fast and Furious operation to go on, breaking both international and domestic law, getting dozens if not hundreds of innocent people killed with U.S. weapons he sanctioned and then covered up the illegalities from Congressional investigators.
• He allowed the IRS to destroy emails and other documents, clear violations of Federal law.
• He allowed the IRS to harass and impede the First Amendment rights of citizens and organizations that held contrary views of this administration.
• He refused to enforce the DOMA legislation which was the law of the land at that time.
• He made little or no effort, and had little or no success, to prosecute criminals that steal upwards of $200 billion a year from Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, food stamps, and other Federal programs.
• He threw the full weight of the Justice Department into investigations of the deaths of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown but gave no effort to investigate the murders of white victims by black police officers or black perpetrators.

Yep, he and I both have a different definition of “golden age.”

That will do it for this rendition of “politicians say the darndest things.” A lawless attorney general who thinks he presided over a golden age of law enforcement, a clueless Secretary of State who thinks the Iranians are going to allow him to inspect anything he wants, and a delusional President who thinks he has been a friend to Israel, a humble public servant, and who has led the country to respectability in the eyes of the world. Politicians do indeed say the darndest, and most idiotic things, yet believing their own insanity at the same time.
